Myself and my good friends had a wonderful time eating only the finest food. Courtney was our server and I would recommend her to be the standard for service. She was insanely personable and did not make me feel uncomfortable for ordering a hot dog for breakfast! Would recommend to anyone in the area and will return every time I'm in the plains!

GiGi's was an incredible experience. The service was wonderful, the food was wonderful, the overall quality of the food; was wonderful. The staff were very friendly and quick to tend and the food was out fairly quick once ordered. The price at the end for the 5 of us that ate, with good size meals; was roughly $80 which is great being $15-$16 a person.

Services was great but food not so much. It wasn’t horrible but wasn’t the best.

We're moving to the area soon and my wife and I go on breakfast dates semi regularly. Tried out this place and now I'm definitely going to bring the wife here. Signature omelette was great and I'll need to try the biscuits and gravy next.

I love GiGi's! They have the best French Toast, in my opinion. I don't get to visit often but when I do I'm always satisfied with the food and service.

We had breakfast on a busy weekend. Quick service from order to serving food. Food was great. Monkey bread is a must have!! Staff were efficient and happy! They checked in on us often. It was busy so it was noisy with customer conversations. Dining area are mostly table and chairs surrounded by booths. There is a bar area with stools to eat at. Place was clean with decor like country kitchen setting.

Very decent. It was extremely busy when we were there on a Saturday morning and the servers were bussing their own tables. Seemed understaffed, had to ask for coffee- which presently- I understand given the situation many restaurants are finding themselves in. I had the breakfast bowl, it was good and well seasoned- could have done with just a sprinkle of cheese instead of entire layer. The monkey bread was good- however, obviously microwaved. My husband had an omelet that liked very good. Prices are reasonable.

I LOVE THIS PLACE!! I can't recommend it enough. It has cheap prices, great dinner food, amazing atmosphere. I wish there was this diner everywhere. I ordered the breakfast bowl and was not disappointed. It was massive, I couldn't finish it. It was wonderful. Perfect homemade, greasy, comfort breakfast food. Instant good mood. I was down in Athens for Dad's weekend at Ohio U. Found Gigi's on Yelp and took my 2 college kids (freshman and a junior) to try it out. Neat diner about 10-12 min outside of town. While we had to wait a bit, the food was sooooo worth it! It was our sever's birthday, and she was actually wearing a Happy Birthday sash. I ordered French Toast, my son ordered Chocolate Chip Pancakes, and my daughter ordered a Chicken sandwich. We also ordered a bowl of Monkey bread for all 3 of us to share. All food was enjoyed and devoured. Towards the end of the meal our server was serenaded by the whole restaurant and given a cupcake 4 her birthday. Pretty cool. I would recommend the food and the experience!!

Great diner food in a small local place with plenty of small town pride. Service is always quick and friendly!

What a fun find. We were passing through and craving brunch. I kept telling the hubby to look for an IHOP, but I was far better pleased with what we found at Gigi's. It was packed on this Sunday morning. However, we waited maybe 15 minutes for a booth. The prices are beyond reasonable, which you can see from the attached menu pictures. My eggs were cooked perfectly and the pancake with chocolate chips was a great impulse addition. Our total, between the two of us, came to $20. It was a steal. And it hit the spot. For the friendly service, local business, and delicious food, it is worth a stop. A little off the beaten road, but easy enough to find.

We were looking for a new breakfast place and I'm pretty sure we found it! This restaurant isn't too far from Logan and is easy to get to. The restaurant has a very small town feel with country cooking. The staff there was very nice and even gave our little girl a yogurt while we waited on our food. Everything came out correct, hot, and fast! You are getting a lot of food for a very, very fair price! The down in the farm was great and the gray is a peppered gravy with a little spice. My wife ordered the breakfast bowl which was more than she could handle but she enjoyed every bit. We were able to sit outside but plenty of room inside. The only negative thing I would say is parking is a little tight and not too many spaces. I am very happy we tried Gigi's and will be making this a usual Saturday or Sunday breakfast spot.

Coffee was amazing. Biscuits and gravy and the lite start was awesome as well. My bf loved his bomelete! We have ate here for years and will always continue to be a favorite. If you are a college kid at OU you really need to go here for some authentic breakfast food. Staff is amazing per usual.

I am in town visiting my nephew at OU. I decided to find a good breakfast spot, and Yelp usually doesn't lead me wrong. Today, however, was an exception. First, the good. The service was wonderful, and the bacon cooked to perfection, along with the sausage patty. Now to the bad: whoever cooked my scrambled eggs killed them. Like, couldn't eat many of them. They were hard scrambled with dark spots. Maybe they had cooked them and then reheated? And the hash browns? I asked for onions with mine, and they were a pile of mush. You could tell they were once hash browns, but I'm wondering about the reheating. I'm from the south and was looking forward to the sausage and gravy. Until halfway through when I cut through a few chunks of sausage that was in the gravy and it wasn't cooked through. Let's just hope the main cook called in sick today and everything was off.

We had been camping down near Coolville Oh and hadn't had breakfast. We were on our way home and looking for a diner, as we stay away from the chain food places. My wife couldn't find anything on Google so I looked on Yelp, ask for directions and found this great diner. Staff was organized, extremely friendly and gave us 5-Star service. Even though they experienced a digital shut down of the back kitchen ticket order system. They overcame and got the food out quickly and it was fantastic! We will be back, what a great find. Hank W. Gigi's deserves more than 5 stars! My husband and I used to visit weekly, until our work schedule changed-now I really miss it! A small, cozy environment with the friendliest staff! You feel like you're sitting in your friend's house. You are greeted every time you enter, and someone always says goodbye when you leave. The food is great, both breakfast and lunch. Our favorite is the Breakfast Bowl! It's very filling, but if you can tackle a little more to eat, add a pancake-they're good too! They also make a delicious homemade chicken salad. I could go on and on...We just love this little place!

I was pleasantly surprised by the food and service! From the outside, it looks like it is going to be small and underwhelming average. Once you get through the door and have a seat, your mind quickly changes. The menu is small, but the prices are also small! If your looking for a lunch spot that is basic, but basics done right...hit this spot up. You will not regret it!

Gigi's is great! While their food is definitely good, the best part is their staff. They always greet you when you walk in the door and are SO friendly and helpful. They are always fully staffed too. The diner only has about 15 tables but there is always at least 4-5 servers just for tables. That's not including kitchen staff.

I had the daily special, which was cabbage rolls., with mashed potatoes and mixed vegetables. They were very good; and the wait staff are top shelf. I look forward to another great meal the next time that I am in Athens visiting my child at college.

Had the breakfast bowl. If was delicious and filling. The service was excellent. I had my coffee cup filled at least 4 times and then offered 1 to go! By the way the coffee was very good also.

Went to Gigi's for Sunday breakfast on OU Mom's Weekend. Even though it was crowded and the line was out the door, the food was fast and yummy! The service was amazing too. We'll go back on a less busy Weekend..I want to try the lunch!

Just popped in on way through Ohio and found this a wonderful find! The breakfast bowl was amazing! My friend had a burger and said one of the best, hand pattied and very tasty. The sausage gravy was loaded with sausage and heavy on the sage, plus the biscuits were super fluffy! We come through this part of Ohio once a year headed to/from an OSU football game from South Carolina and will make sure we stop in again!

Amazing service! As soon as we got in there we were treated and we sat down, instantly had a waitress get our drink order and not long after brought our drinks and took out food order. Food came out super quick and was hot and sooooo good. I've never had better service in my life and that's facts. At the end they even asked if we wanted to go cups of our drinks!!! Perfect service!

My partner and I came by Gigi's while driving through, road tripping back to NC. We we starving and wanted a good home cooked breakfast. That's exactly what we found at Gigi's. It was a cute and quaint building and the staff was very welcoming and friendly right when we walked in. I had the biscuits and gravy with a side of bacon and my partner had the Great Start breakfast. Everything was amazing with great flavor and I was stuffed and couldn't stop eating more. If you're looking for a small country diner with great food and service that makes you feel at home- definitely stop by Gigi's!

All the food is as ordered. Only specialty I found is their Cheesy Chicken tortilla soup and the breakfast bowl is a must. Otherwise all the food is good and prices are right. What gets five stars is the service. Exceptional attitudes make everything taste that much better.

It's a pleasant atmosphere with great food. The waitress' are always friendly and try to make it a great experience for you. Great food at a decent price. I always bring my outta town friends here for breakfast. If your in the area you need to co.e try it out

Favorite breakfast in Athens area. Consistent quality for breakfast and lunch! Coffee is always hot & wait staff always ready to top you off! Husband likes the breakfast bowl, but be prepared for a ton of food. Love the menu prices too..!

I'm always looking for some good local spot for breakfast when I travel for work and this is it! Came in and ordered the country breakfast. The biscuits and gravy were excellent. Good flavor and tons of sausage! You can also substitute corned beef hash for your potatos for only a dollar more!

Great breakfast spot for loaded bowls, omelets and pancakes. Expect a short wait but worth every minute. Staff and service always exceptional.

Great country breakfast. Small, cozy place that definitely caters to the locals. No linen table cloths here. You come for the food! Be prepared to wait in line. Hearty portions and friendly staff. If we were asked once we were asked several times for a coffee refill. Breakfast for three was $21.98.

Yeah, it's that good. Travis owns, runs, cooks and serves great comfort food and breakfast. Talks to every table to make sure all is well. My wife have been eating here once a week for over a year and will without second thought. If your passing through the Athens area, it's closest on and off the highway then any place in the area.....well worth the visit.

Good, fast and cheap. You get all three at this little breakfast joint in The Plains. You won't find anything in the way of local food that the area is known for, but you will find scratch-made breakfast classics churned out with speed and precision. I got an epic order of fantastic biscuits and sausage gravy that stuffed me for less than $5, and my husband got a couple of eggs cooked to order with sausage and home fries. It was very tasty. The only reason I'm docking a point is for sad and watery coffee. Pretty damn great otherwise.

Breakfast or lunch, this is the place to go in The Plains. The sandwiches are great and my only lunch regret is that I did not order the chicken noodles special (we came on a Wednesday). Breakfast 2 days later came out just as good. The biscuits and gravy have enough pepper to be interesting, but won't do any harm. The service is cheerful and informal and the place seems full of regulars (for a good reason).

Excellent country style restaurant. Much of the food is home made. They have the best french fries you'll find anywhere. If you love fresh pie, you'll want to try Gigi's. Also, the service is great with a pleasant and friendly wait staff.
