Gigi’s Pizza Shop - Review - Old Market - Bristol - The Infatuation

"A meal at Gigi’s Pizza Shop in Old Market will begin with a queue, and if you’re doing it right, end with you treating your fellow Great Western Railway passengers to a shimmering one-man performance entitled The Last Ragu Slice. Unlike our hot and heavy feelings for their formidable, spice-jiving vodka pie, this little, textbook-cool pizzeria is pretty casual. No reservations, no guarantees you won’t be elbowed out the way by someone who’s collecting their order in the same manner you’d chase the love of your life through an airport, and unless you get there bang on opening, no promises that they won’t have already sold out of the rich cacio e pepe slice. But we like it that way—your Gigi’s destiny is entirely up to you." - Heidi Lauth Beasley

Best pizza in Bristol. Huge lover of by the slice, & they are generous sizes! Incredible crispy base, tasty sauce, salty cheese. I have the mozzarella & Beef Ragu slice and they were delish! Very busy in evenings so be prepared to wait for a seat/slice, but it’s so worth it!!

Honestly some of the best pizza I’ve had in a while! By far the stand out is the Vodka sauce!! The margarita was also delicious. If you order by the slice, some slices are less fresh than others - but apart from that a delicious experience! Oh and the dips are also ridiculously good.

Some of the best pizza I've had in the UK, probably only behind Gracie's Pizza in St. Albans. The dough 5 stars, cooked to perfection, perfect crisp, crunch on the crust, not soggy, zing in the tomato sauce, and a perfect cheese blend for flavour with no grease. Simply cannot fault the pizza, and the fact the shop is insanely busy speaks volumes. 5/5 Food.

Stumbled across Gigi’s pizza ahead of a gig. I was luckily able to get a table, after that there was a constant queue out the door of people ordering for takeaway or collecting. The pizza came out quickly, piping hot and packed with flavour, the honey was subtle but noticeable and delicious. My pizza was topped which fresh basil enhancing the taste. I ordered the garlic and herb dish which was amazing. 10/10 would definitely return. The pizza is sold by slice, 12” or 18” a great option for mixing up and trying different toppings. Next time I’d love to try the beef ragu , it looked phenomenal. If you need to spend a penny you’ll find their slice o mania winners trophy in the toilet 😆

One of the best pizza places in Bristol, my favourite pizza was with the vodka sauce. Amazing. The ragu pizza and margarita was very good too. Very quick service and delicious pizza. We got luck as we managed to have a seat and was not too busy.

Found this gem in a cool part of town and had to share! Dog Happy serves up solid pizza by the slice or whole pie at prices that won't break the bank. The sun trap outside is perfect for enjoying their unique vodka and onion pizzas with a drink. Staff and regulars create a welcoming vibe that keeps you coming back. Nothing fancy, just good pizza and good people in a spot that feels right. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the area. - Pickles the Pug

I've not stopped raving about the place since I ate there! I am a very fussy eater when it comes to eating out. However, Gigis does everything right. The actual Pizzas are some of the best, the staff are extremely friendly and for a place in the center of Bristol the prices are fantastic. If you're food fanatic, or just enjoy a good scran, this is a must-eat place in Bris.

Fantastic pizza, good service. Be prepared to wait and probably sit outside. As long as you expect this then you will enjoy it. Worth the hype 🍕
