Gigi’s The Vegan + Wellness Cafe

SUCH delicious and healthy vegan food — restaurants like these make it so easy to not harm animals, the environment or ourselves by killing and eating flesh. And gigi is such a fantastic host!! Highly recommend the nachos and the taco salad.

It's a Cozy home on a busy street. I walked in and there was an incredible warmth that hit me I ordered a cacao nibs smoothie, lentil soup, and the jackfruit tacos. The tacos were feeling even though the shells were Romaine lettuce. The best part about the lentil soup was this wonderful seasoning sprinkled on top that had some kind of seaweed and spice in it. The Smoothie was out of this world a total chocolate fix.

THIS PLACE IS AMAZING!!! Today was my first time coming and it is a 10/10 HIGHLY RECOMMEND! I met a wonderful lady that I had great conversations with and Ms. GiGi and her son are so wonderful. He made me the Una Tuna Wrap w/ lentil soup and I also had an amazing protein shake. I’m so happy to have found this spot. I will be back. If you’re reading this, take your butt in there RIGHT NOW and tell GiGi and her son that Lisa sent you! 🥰

Amazing experience here. Gigi’s food is absolutely spectacular and I have to say that she and her team have an amazing energy. I got the soul tacos with lentil soup, and the beet juice. I love that it was plant-based whole food. Each dish was well crafted with complementing flavors, and texture. Even better, they have a cooler with prepared juices and sandwiches, so I was able to grab two spicy hummus and veggie sandwiches to go. The customer service was amazing, the environment was really comfortable and relaxing, I could hang out there all day, eating their food! Really excited I found this place and tried it, I have been vegan for over 15 years and have grown tired of Americanized, vegan foods, like cheeseburgers and pizza, I can’t wait to go back and try more!

Whether or not you are a vegan Gigi's has something you will love. I am not a big fan of chocolate but Gigi talked me into trying her chocolate brownie and it was fantastic. Her fresh pressed juices are light and flavorful. My favorite is the ginger and green apple but the beet juice is wonderful too. I tried the veggie burger and salad both were scrumptious. The customer service is stellar and the atmosphere is eclectic and inviting. I highly recommend visiting and sitting for a while.

First time coming here, I recently visited this place after checking out the health food store across the street. Parking here can be a bit of a challenge since the stairs limited parking and is located right off of a busy Street. Staff here was absolutely friendly and I had a welcoming atmosphere upon walking in. It had a great menu with plenty of things to choose from. I settled for a wrap and a smoothie. I do believe that the Smoothie was pretty pricey for what you get for such a small cup . They offer a lot when it comes to the restaurant like coaching as well and the owner plays a great part to the the community which is awesome . Wait times were not bad at all, I really did enjoy the food here I did leave feeling very satisfied and full. Overall, I do reccomend visiting this establishment

Gigi's might just be my new little work from home hangout spot! Gigi was the loveliest and you can genuinely tell that she is passionate about what she is doing. We got the protein smoothies that were on special that day with a side of healing seaweed shots. The seaweed shots were very unique and not at all what I expected, but Gigi explained what it was to us and that lead to even more of a conclusion that she knows her stuff! They have some fun products for sale and it looks like they have some small bites as well. I look forward to trying more! One note: every time I've driven by they've either looked closed or empty. Their new hours are on a piece of print out paper taped to their wall, so if they could update their hours in more places and/or have a very visible open sign, that would help! I'd also love to know if the parking in the empty lot next to them is fair game, as parking for their establishment is pretty difficult on such a busy road as Westport.

Finally made it to Gigi's Vegan Wellness Café a month or so ago.  Everyone behind the counter was super friendly, delightful and just looked happy to be there.    I ordered the Soulful Tacos and Power Protein Smoothie to-go.  I actually thought about calling back just to tell them how delicious it was.  In addition to the menu, there's a to-go cooler by the register with juices, wraps, etc.  Personally, I had written off 'wraps' as a category of food, but the orange wrap drew me in so I grabbed one for later... It was the best wrap I've had - it was not soggy and gummy but more like wrapped lettuce you can eat with your hands.    Overall the place and people have a really positive energy and yummy vegan food.

During lunch today, I witnessed the coming and going of many through the doors of Gigi's. Everyone was greeted warmly, treated like an old friend, and bid a warm goodbye and see you next time. The genuine warmth, kindness, and respect in this special place was palpable. As a vegan and recent transplant from Denver where there are more many more options, I knew I'd be ok when I found Gigi on Instagram. She isn't just a restuarantuer, she is a community builder and, from what I can tell, is at the helm of this really cool vegan movement in KC. I am so grateful I finally got to experience Gigi's for myself. I had a kale wrap, juice, and this date/cashew based peanut butter cup that I snarfed down greedily. Go. Soak up the love inside while you are nourished by delicious food.

We went here for lunch today. The space was very cozy and neat. The staff were very helpful and patient with us. My hubby got the I Am Powerful and i got the I Am Vitality. Both were really good and the choco banana smoothie was a hit with the hubs as well. We also got a detox tea. Very good experience for our first time at a vegan restaurant.

Came to Gigi's for to check out the local KC vegan scene. It did not disappoint! I had the delicious pad Thai and lemme tell you it was the bomb. It came out as a cold dish with the right amount of sugary and tangy sauce. Thin pasta and thinly diced veggies. So good. Plate came with a side of warm collard greens with baby potatoes, I'm going to try to make this back home. And ordered the protein smooth. Delicious chocolate goodness. Highly recommend it for a healthy delicious meal!

Charles and Gigi are wonderful people to be around. If you`re looking for a place to try some new vegan foods that are healthy while also being delicious make your way to Gigis. You`ll find that the place has a great aura and serves it`s purpose within the community. You wont be disappointed. Thank you for changing my life Gigi and Charles! I highly recommend!

Had lunch here today with my husband. We had the Soul Tacos with Lentil Soup and the Westport Salad with Heart Beet - Antioxidant drink. Everything was gourmet and delicious. If everyone ate Gigi's food, we would all enjoy robust health. I loved her food so much, I put her cookbook on my Christmas list for this year. We also bought more food for snacks and breakfast tomorrow. We have already drunk the Vitality - Immunity drink and the True Love - Digestive drink and both were flavorful and yummy. We had some balls (not the coconut ones, the other ones) out of the refrigerator area and they were amazing. We are looking forward to the granola for breakfast tomorrow. The place itself is super cute and everyone inside is friendly and provides amazing service. What a treat! We will be back!

We stopped by Gigi's for a quick bite. Our refrigerator out of commission so I was super hungry for a fresh salad my husband wanted a vegan burger. Since it was our first time there, the wait stuff happily explained their menu. My husband is a picky eater and was thrilled with food and especially his vegan burger Can't wait to go back!

Amazing amazing service and even better food. Everything is so flavorful and fresh. I'm not vegan, and still enjoyed my juice, smoothie, and food. I'll be back!

Yesterday, I decided to fine dine. As a Human ~ who loves GOD ~ and honors life, I have been looking for a place that considers my Heart . I live therefore I seek life {specifically LIFE and life abundantly}. I have no desire to eat dead things or eggs (which is an embryo and amniotic fluid), as I am not a snake. I searched for a restaurant that serves live food and in my search noticed Gigi's. It wasn't long afterwards that I found myself one block away. Immediately, I went in to the cozy atmosphere with an open mind and willing stomach. I knew what to order ~ I asked for a reference and was told #exactly what I'd been told by GOD to have {they walk with GOD in alignment with THE HOLY SPIRIT OF TRUTH}. Sometimes, I make mistakes, but it's good to be in the company of those who know better Try them for yourself. The only way to be disappointed is if you go out of your way to do it yourself The meal was excellentk N and prepared with kindness Thank you ~

Had a lovely Zucchini noodle dish with delicious tomato sauce and cashew cheese. Also had a tasty kale/pineapple juice. You can tell that the folks here take pride in this place and love what they do. Happy to see a place like this in our metro. Parking is tricky on the busy road, so if there are no spots in front, park across the street at the Westlake shopping center.

The food was amazing, the service was spectacular and I felt at home while dining there!

Loved being the first in the door on a Saturday and having Gigi offer to customize my 1103 Breakfast Sandwich with some sauteed mushrooms (yes please!) The sausage patty itself is the star of the sammy, but the bread is that perfect chewy-outside-soft-inside kind I also snagged a Heart Beet juice from the bottled cold pressed fridge (yay plastic free!) And it's very tasty with good apple-y sweetness. I gotta try the alkaline water next time: they infuse the fruit with zinc so you can drink the water that's in there and then REFILL it for up to 3 days to keep getting zinc and flavor out of it. Plus, the space is adorable, Gigi is lovely and welcoming, and I can't wait to go back and sit and sip.

Protein smoothie was delicious. But Westport salad is not worth the price. It no longer has avocado FYI, I guess I was looking at an old menu. Hope to try something different next time.

Really delicious food and smoothies. The atmosphere is pleasant and comfy. Definitely want to go again and try everything on the menu.

First of all, anyone on a vegan or plant-based diet will know that it takes eating more to be satisfied - in fact, much more. I also understand that competition with the many, many conventional food places is fierce and leaves vegan spots at a disadvantage that could increase pricing to remain viable. All that said, a $20 burger with lettuce for buns and a crumbly, mushy patty (that seemed more biscuit size than burger size), and a side of salad that may satisfy a toddler, with a $10 smoothie that was no more than 16oz (and probably was 12oz), is absolutely taking advantage. At these prices and serving sizes, the obvious competition is fine dining - and this spot is absolutely nothing of the sort and I do not believe it would be wise to give that impression. To mitigate climate disaster, the world needs to eat way more plants and not funnel them through animals for slaughter for human nutrition. Businesses such as Gigi's really do not much help the cause when they essentially cater to the well-to-do yuppie crowd who are the only ones who could afford these prices - as well as eat and not be satisfied.

I appreciate the fact that this is a small business that clearly shows a lot of integrity in their products. There were a few things unavailable, but I was flexible and tasted the Wild Burger. Very good. I also bought a salad which was a bit small but full of healthy micro greens. Again, good attention to qualify ingredients.

What a delicious lunch! The people working were so hospitable - we felt right at home. We got one of the juices, the kale yeah wrap, and the una tuna. Everything was fantastic. Can't wait to go back.

I absolute live this cute vegan cafe!!! The service was amazing! I got some infused waters and the best Kale Chips I've ever tasted!!! They have lots of cute/healthy personal care items for sale too! I will be back anytime I'm in the area!

The food was delicious, the atmosphere was cozy and comfortable, and the customer service was excellent! I had the Teriyaki Mushroom Veggie burger and the green goodness smoothie and loved it! My son enjoyed his breakfast sandwich and his only request was that it was bigger since it wasn't enough to fill him up, even with a smoothie. I can tell they consciously prepare this food with a lot of care and use high quality organic ingredients. Highly recommend!

Love the food, love the service and I love the healthy vibes! I am not vegan but I am learning to eat less meat and the flavor card is never declined here! If it tastes good I'll eat and Gigi got the recipes

Found this perfect healthy heaven. Ms. Gigi aura is so warm and loving. The space is tranquil. Food and fresh juice is delicious. She's also offering Meditation ‍ meetings. Definitely a new home for me when I'm back in my hometown

The vibe is amazing, the staff is knowledgeable and personable, and the products are fresh. Prices are reasonable. What more can you ask for. I absolutely loved my "burger" wink wink and the presentation was on point. It is a must try place. Definitely returning

Everything was amazing. I had the tacos and it was so fresh and delicious. I'm not vegan but that meal made me want to be! Great service, 10 out of 10 I definitely recommend!

First and for most the customer service is astounding. The menu has so many wonderful options it was tough to choose. I started with the ginger and beet juice. I had tea and a vegan burger which was delicious. The chocolate brownie was a very pleasant surprise. I highly recommend stopping by.

i'm visiting the area from New Jersey and was nervous I wouldn't find any local vegan restaurants near states so well known for bbq. I was so grateful when my friend and I found this place! The environment was relaxing, the food was delicious, and the employees were so friendly! I totally recommend, even if you're not vegan!! Definitely go out and support this black owned small business!

Wow!! This place is incredible! If you're looking for healthy foods, juices, & smoothies, with a warm/welcoming atmosphere- this is your place! Gigi, the owner, invited us in & made us feel at home. We loved the look & feel of the place. They even grow a lot of their own herbs that they put in their foods/juices. We got 3 juices- watermelon/mint, ginger root/apple (2 of those), and the power protein smoothie. All were so delicious!! Everything in the menu is vegan friendly. We will be back soon!

The moment I walked in today I knew it was the place for me. The restaurant is beautifully set up and the type of place you would want to hang out in all day. The teriyaki mushroom burger was legit the best burger I've ever had! As a brand new vegan, it makes me excited to continue this journey. If the burger and atmosphere doesn't pull you in, then Gigi herself would. She has this pep in her step, is so kind, and was more than happy to teach me what ingredients were, why they're so healthy & how to use things that are brand new to me - not to mention her cooking skills are over the top! I'm also zero waste, so they sustainable takeout containers were a definite plus. I couldn't recommend this place more. I'll definitely be back in to eat, visit, and continue to learn!

Ohkaaayyyy Gigi! So I had the vegan biscuit, sausage, and cheese! Girl it changed my life those 5 seconds it took for me to eat it. Usually vegan dishes require your taste buds to react awkwardly if you once ate meat to adjust to the "change" in taste and texture. Well this sandwich made me feel like I was bamboozled because it tasted so much better than ANY breakfast sandwich I have every had!!! Yes, yes, yes!

I am a new vegan, and I have enjoyed hopping around all of the vegan joints in Kansas City. Simply put, Kansas City vegans are spoiled! If for no other reason than Gigi's. I ordered the wild burger and my husband had the kale wrap. We were knocked out by the flavor. I swear to you that the wild burger was hands-down the best veggie burger I've ever had, simply due to the texture and flavor. You can tell that so much love and thought is put in to the taste and flavors of all of the food Gigi had put on the menu.

Great local spot. You get nothing but positive vibes once you pass the threshold. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and willing to go the extra mile to help. The products are very high-quality and environmentally conscious. I would truly recommend anybody and everybody make a special trip to check out Gigi's.

I would leave 10 stars if we could. Everything is amazing and the only thing better is how wonderful the staff is. They genuinely care about people and deserve your business. Check them out immediately.

The food is delicious! If you are looking for healthy fulfilling food look no further. It's literally a wellness feeling. Once you leave you feel alive from the smoothies, cold pressed juices to the food. I've literally became addicted to the way the food taste, yet how I'm feeling afterward. Customer Service 100% as well. Fantastic ambiance. If you are looking for a meal plan they will prepare for you. Incredible cafe with people that have a passion for making clean tasty food and you will be satisfied.

Very tasty vegetarian food... my wife liked it very much. The service was a little slower than expected, but the customer service was good. Price was a bit on the high side, but we will be back because the food is that good. I had the the Westport burger it was delicious me of the best veggie burger I've ever had...

I don't usually like wraps because I feel everything in the wrap are just disappointed they never get to meet bread, but somehow found myself ordering the kale wrap. It was like I knew this time would be different. Definitely the best wrap I've ever had, and I'm not vegan. I got a smoothie for my son and he guzzled it down so I'm gonna guess it was good too.

The owner of this business is incredibly rude. I love to support small businesses but not if the owner is unkind, belittling to others and self important. I had the displeasure of meeting her outside of her business. After three different encounters, I was convinced I would never stop by her little store. She was very rude to me. I will never ever forget that. I don't think her little kale chips are quite as salty as she is, but I won't be stopping by to find out.

PHENOMENAL customer service and even better food. Highly recommend the mushroom burger (could eat this every day!), the apple ginger juice, and the protein power smoothie (tastes like dessert). Going to go here two days in a row :)
