Giglio's is a great addition to the South Loop. It's more of a "neighborhood bar" atmosphere than a dining destination, but that shouldn't negate the quality of their food and service. Even on a busy Friday night, we were greeted promptly and well attended to throughout the night. A special touch , was when I asked what is "Chicago style" cheesecake? And they sent out the Chef to explain it to me. To my surprise, the Chef, Julia Danno, was a former MasterChef competitor!!! How cool is that? Well I ordered the Cheesecake and it was probably the best I ever had... for context, I'm Italian... I've had and made a lot of cheesecake! In fact, I take back my previous statement... it's certainly a destination for cheesecake!! Well Done Giglio's.

Decided to try this new place on our first evening here. It was later and not very crowded. A lot of sports TV options going on and good music playing. We really enjoyed the food and Krista, our waitress did an excellent job of making us feel welcome. BTW, their fries were very perfectly crispy. We will definitely return in the future.

Understated tavern decor shouldn't take away from their great Italian fare. Old school Italian food and menu. Service was quick, efficient and friendly. Our group enjoyed every appetizer and entree. Even with overly ample portions, everyone left with a clean plate. Will come back often.

When you walk into a Tavern/pub, you expect the usual burgers, sliders, and other standards. What a surprise to be treated to some of the best Italian food we've ever eaten. You can tell they really care about the food here. And the atmosphere had a fun, casual vibe. Was awesome to get to meet the owner too!

Awesome new addition to the South Loop! My Fiance and I have lived right down the street for over a year and decided to pop in here on a whim, as it seemed a new place opened up and I saw some daily specials. I'm GLAD we did as it surpassed my expectations! Chicken Parm Sandwich was stellar. Fiance got the Cauliflower crust pizza, also great! Got the fried calamari as an appetizer and no joke.... best i've had in the city at a reasonable price. Other Pros: -Great beer and cocktail selection. - Seating near the street side gives the feel of an outdoor patio without having the sun right in your face. - Service was on point. Definitely will be back!
