This location is inside the casino. The front desk employee was very friendly, greeting us & taking out orders. The orders here are done first. You pay and then self seat. They then bring the food to your table. Keep in mind it is not a table service restaurants there are no servers. We needed a few things like extra limes & to go boxes, we were willing to get ourselves no problem, but the employees on the floor made it feel like they absolutely did not want to help us. It was kinda awkward. Now about the food, it was very tasty big portions. The rice I didn't enjoy it was dry & stale. I had the lumpia for a started & a kung pao chicken type of dish. & mango pudding for the dessert. Keep in mind you orders first, then the comes all together start entree & dessert. To drink, I just had the free water at the casino. Nothing grabbed my attention on the menu. I really liked the inside & decor it was very modern, nice, warm lighting.

I ordered soup 2 appetizers snd a main entree the main entree came out immediately by the time we ate it - it was cold not good! The description of the wonton soup with pork & shrimp $16 had no pork no shrimp I questioned that since I often eat wonton soup they said it’s inside the wontons? Lack flavor . Nothing was as described. I would not recommend this restaurant.

Got here at 5:30pm on a Saturday. 20 min wait. There’s two registers. We knew what we wanted to order while we were in line, which made our check out so much quicker when we got to the counter. While the couple before us was still deciding on what to order when they got to the register. Tables are first come first serve and it was packed. There’s a line because the tables are full. But once we sat down, it took 10 mins to get our food. We got beef pho ($12) and beef Chinese drunken noodles ($15). My fiancé who is very particular with his pho and sensitive to msg, actually enjoyed the pho. He’s had it twice here and it was my first time. When the server brought the bowl out, I could smell the aroma. Then I took a sip of the broth and not bad. $12 price point is actually pretty good too. They also give a ton of noodles. It came with limes, bean sprouts and basil. We asked for an empty small bowl so that I could share. On the other hand, the drunken noodles were bland with no flavor. Basically just plain noodles and the chef forgot to add in oyster sauce and spices. I took it home and added spices myself. For water, they give out free mini Viejas water bottles. If you need take out containers, it’s on in the corner. Overall, don’t come during rush hour if you’re hungry. Otherwise, you’re expected to wait. Saw a lot of take out orders being prep too.

Google
Honestly the food is very interesting because they don’t only have Vietnamese , Thai , but also Chinese … which in the Asian world is alarming lol , food is okay . Pho was missing the punch , Chinese stir noddles lacked flavor but kept it authentic… we also ordered the lobster which was okay .

My son wanted to try this restaurant for his birthday. He had heard good things about the kalbi here, which was why he had this request. Overall, the restaurant is a comfortable place, and the atmosphere was relaxed, not fancy. To be honest, the Kalbi was a bit undercooked, and ribs were cut a bit thin. The walnut shrimp was outstanding. We ordered a 2nd dish of it and the Pad Thai combo dish was tastyl. Would come here again to eat, but request the kalbi be medium well instead of rare.

We were hungry but even that didn't make the food appealing. Do not order the ramen 🥲 or the mango pudding (store bought and instant taste 10x better). Don't understand why our food was left on the counter for so long that it was room temp by the time they decided to serve us. With our mood and appetite ruined we couldn't finish the food and will be heading out for meals during the remainder of our stay.

Google
Meh sums up this place. I tried a few of the dishes and it was just ok. I would go to barons over this. The lumpia and crispy egg rolls might have been the star.

We finally tried the Wonton Soup with noodles 🍜 Yum 😋 the broth was good. We wanted to try the Vietnamese Spring Rolls and were disappointed when we found out. The nice lady, let us know, while sitting at our table, they didn't have the Spring Rolls (not the 1st time out) & they substituted it with Lumpia, but . If they let use know sooner, wouldn't have ordered it. The General Tso Chicken & Walnut Shrimp are always tasty along with the sides of Fried Rice, Garlic Noodle & Pickled Cucumber . We had a bit of a wait, about 30 minutes, but they were busy... a popular place Customer Service is great. 🙂 We sat outside for the 1st time, which was nice & more quiet compared to the tables inside. We had points, so the cost was excellent!!!

Yelp
The food I amazing customer service service as well, we love this place we love to have lunch here at least twice a week

Yelp
I am really having mixed feelings about our most recent experience here. So here is the good Really love love love the food! Everything always tastes so delish!! The pork adobo and kung pao chicken is fire! One order of pho bo was plenty for two. The staff is very friendly! The food is served quickly and hot! Now the not so good Highly disappointed about the lack of cleanliness! I really wished I hadn't looked down. There was food all over the floor that wasn't ours. I tried to not let it dampen our dinner but I did take a photo which I am sharing here. Once again 5 stars for tasty food and good service. 1 star because of the lack of cleanliness. So I gave this experience

Carrie J.

Yelp
We ordered the General Tso chicken to go and took it to our room, it was drenched in sauce and fatty pieces of chicken, I ate a couple of pieces and found it to be disgusting, we were too tired to take it back. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Tera M.

Yelp
Update tried calling several times to discuss however the person is never there -Kelsey left a voicemail once with a number to call that number isn't set up yet no outgoing message? There are s no vm set up at his extension either.

Yelp
Definitely great place to try different types of Asian food. As an American Asian Pacific Islander Filipina - their menu has BBQ chicken skewers, lumpia & pork adobo. The lumpia & skewers were okay. The pork adobo is bomb! Just like my family makes, a bug serving with pepper corns, fatty pieces of pork with a soy sauce vinegar base. The only thing missing is the bay leaves to pick out. MASARAP NAMAN! The only comment about the adobo is they don't have chicken. Anyhow, the service is excellent. Staff are always on it with serving the food hot & fast. The place is always clean. Sleek in variations of wood, individual & family style seating. If you shopping at Viejas & have a hankering for Asian food - definitely should stop in.

Yelp
We had a smorgasbord of Chinese Food at the Ginger Noodle Bar this Labor Day Weekend!!! We started by being greeted at the register by a helpful lady who took our order. We thought that we would have General Tso's Chicken and Beef and Broccoli, plus Vegetable Egg Rolls, Yang Chow Fried Rice with Shrimp; and also a side of Noodles. Gonzalo also got a specialty soup, which had tree branches coming out of it. He had it last time and loved it!!! We were sat at the same table as last time, and again they pushed two tables together because of all of the food. It was all delicious and so much that we had plenty of leftovers, which is what we wanted. We each got a complimentary water, and I got a Diet Pepsi. I was also able to get us 10% off with Viejas Bonus Points.

Emelia P.

Yelp
Order a food for dinner pho bo , lumpia Shanghai and Seafood Noodles. Pho Bo came out lukewarm soup! Lumpia is dry and not crispy. Seafood noodles nasty taste! Service is sucks! Asked them to reheat the pho bo soup since the garnish needed to be cooked, server said they are really busy, Not recommended this place waste of money.

As far as service, it's just the line that's long if it's during rush hour when tables are full. They had 8 people in the kitchen and I think they did a great job keeping up with demand. Just be patient. If you want quick food court food then walk across the street to the outlet.

Yelp
We took food to go and were so disappointed. Rice was saturated with, what I guess would be soy sauce for the shrimp fried rice...no fresh ingredients... and the Kung Pow Chicken... I don't even know what kind of sauce they used with what I think was chicken... Really poor quality...not what we expected from Viejas Casino

Tweety B.

Yelp
ordered the seafood pan fried noodles, which was raw Ramen noodles out of the package and had absolutely no flavor with the vegetables or seafood also had the vegetable lo mein, which there was no vegetables in it other than onions and had to use a half a jar of soy sauce to give it flavor

Yelp
Service: The waitress was very kind and accomodating! Place: Tables are tiny and not managed. We choose our own table. Theres 1 guy sitting at a 8 person table, and me and my family (3) had to sit in a tiny table that should really only seat one person. The table was VERY sticky, if you dragged your cup it wouldn't glide, it would stick to the table. Either it's a weird sticky coating/polish, or simply never cleaned properly. Food: It's bland and lacking taste. Needs salt, spices, MSG, maybe sugar would help too. I got a thai tea boba drink for $6, but that's sour and watery. Sour??? That probably means the milk is spoiled. Needs more sugar and milk, but I wouldn't want more spoiled sour milk. The only thing I'd consider delicious is the egg drop soup with wontons. I had to add some soy sauce (cause also watery), but it's comforting. The rest of the savory foods were palatable with sriracha. The ambiance is normal restaurant, but loud and busy. Hard to hear my family who sits next to me.

Mel M.

Yelp
Mixed veggies with tofu and velvety tender tasty meat with fried rice. Loved it. The Bo Luc Lac remains a favorite since the rib eye is hella good paired with the Yang Chow. Coming in second I like their spring rolls and Kalbi with Kim Chee. Some of the entrees like the Pad Thai which is also good and rices are good for two people. Never had any issues here. Food is always made to order and I always find a place to sit. Leave satisfied and full each time. Mel M Yelp 21:37

Yelp
Food is ok. We went there Saturday around 1130am and no line. Ambiance was good. Price is affordable. Staff was friendly. Lots of parking around the area, this restaurant is inside VIEJAS Casino.

F H.

Yelp
The service was good, and the staff was nice, but we were not happy with the food served. We ordered the tonkotsu ramen and spicy Thai fried rice and requested that they add bamboo shoots to the ramen, but were told that the ramen came with bamboo shoots. When the food got here the ramen did not have bamboo shoots and it did not taste good to us either. I was not a fan of the spicy fried Thai rice as well. I am giving this restaurant 2 stars because of the nice staff and good service, but unfortunately we were not happy with the food served.

Jerry H.

Yelp
This Asian counter service restaurant has great Chinese, Thai, Vietnamese and Japanese dishes. The food here is very good so it's a popular place. There is usually a line of customers and the line moves fairly slow. So be ready to wait a bit. They will bring the food to your table. The food is worth the wait. Their egg drop soup is the best in San Diego with high quality ingredients . We also tried hot n sour soup which comes in a large bowl. It was delicious with quality ingredients and not overdone with cornstarch. The noodles and short ribs were outstanding with tons of great flavors. We also had the lumpia which was just ok. Prices are very reasonable with a player club card discount. Overall, we love this place and come in every time we come to Viejas Casino. It's a must try place.

Jorge G.

Yelp
The place is good. just not what I ordered. I do not recommend SEAFOOD PAN FRIED NOODLES It has maruchan under uncooked the beer was warm. Make sure you ask before buying beer. That's cold. service was a good, friendly cashier

Jean-Charles N.

Yelp
The Singapore curry noodle were very tasty. The portion was huge and service was good. The Tonkatsu Ramen was a bit blend though

Tony E.

Yelp
A little surprisingly since it's at a Casino, exceeded my expectations! Great service, food was lightning fast, and it was TASTY!!! From the lady at the counter, the lady that brought our food to table, to the lady picking up used plates & Mgr, ALL VERY FRIENDLY!!!! Thank you for a quick memorable experience!!

CHIYA B.

Yelp
Don't come here if you you're looking for something a step up from Panda! Man, I tru e to give aunties a chance but the failed me. Food was subpar, service was terrible, and they don't clean the tables! The line was long, literally wrapped around the casino! However, they decided today- a Saturday afternoon was a great day to train the new employee on the register! Huh? You'll come here if you're hungry anyway. But I'd rather bring a lunch!

Roz E.

Yelp
So, is it always a given that there has to be a Chinese restaurant in a casino? I have to say, though, I don't mind this place. It's one of the better casino Chinese food I've had. We ended up getting the pan-fried noodles and chicken katsu. Both dishes satisfied my craving, to say the least. I would order them again. If they had 1/2 star ratings, I would've given them 3 1/2 stars for the food. I gave 4 stars, because the lady who took our order was super chipper and made me feel welcome! So, if I don't feel like stuffing myself at the buffet, this is my go to this place. Then, I can get back to gambling quicker. Oh, and if you're a bronze member, you get a discount, so the price point is not too bad.

Sarena G.

Yelp
The food here was beyond bland... drinks are decently priced though. Great environment and happy service workers. Great ambience. Definitely be a little drunk before eating so you can enjoy it more. Lol! Me and my friend both had drunken noodles, one with chicken and one with beef. It was like 4/10.

Jennie Y.

Yelp
The restaurant was very visually appealing and so were the dishes. However, the food was not that great. The fried rice was kinda of flavorless and the other entrees we got were not that great either. A little disappointed, but may come back again. Maybe it was a bad day.

Rich M.

Yelp
A intriguing option in the newer expanded area inside Viejas casino. There was definitely a lack of express service type meals inside so this is nice to have. Especially family friendly places. Before, we would have to walk across the street to the outlets food court to get something quick and easy. Most of the time we have our daughter in tow, so can't go everywhere inside the casino being that she's under age. We can bring her here, although the question is, will she like anything here? I do the scouting normally first. She hasn't been here yet.. I'm in the process of trying various items to see what they will like on the menu. Haven't been disappointed yet at all. Found at least 2 items she should like. Ramens have been prepared well and the pad thai noodles are a good choice so far. Service has been quick and not so quick, been mostly lucky though. Fast-casual with several Asian themed choices around $10-15. Some appetizers are under $10. Portions are very adequate too. If I'm here long enough, I feel really bad spending too much time(money)- on the casino floor without at least eating something while I'm in here. You don't wanna leave broke AND hangry!

Michelle M.

Yelp
Viejas Casino's newest Asian Restaurant. Not a disappointment but not the best restaurant in Viejas. When its cold in the Alpine area, and gambling gets me hungry Ginger Noodle Bar is my Go to place to get warm. I have tried different items in the menu but havent seem to found a favorite. The Honey Brick toast i got was a-ok because it was a little overcooked and hard. Only the Ice cream was able to compliment it and make it softer. The asian food here is a little overpriced and not as great as id hoped to taste for. However, it does the job when i am craving that asian flavors and comfort food. I would recommend trying: Any of the appetizers. Most are usually consistently delicious. With that said, the decor and staff are pretty awesome. It does its job as the asian option in Viejas.

Angela B.

Yelp
I was so excited to try this place because all the other restaurants in viejas are so good. Man was I disappointed. First it's a stand in line, order and pay, then sit down and get served kind of place. When the food came it was hot and a nice sized portion (only reason I'm giving 2 stars) the flavor was gross. There's some kind of mush on it (maybe egg) tasted nasty. Noodles tasted old. My friend and I both ate about 6 bites each and we couldn't do it so we left and went to The Cafe at viejas and ate our second lunch there. Unfortunately we won't be back.

Rakhi B.

Yelp
atmosphere..cute place inside viejas with outside seating. food..pad thai..fried rice..congee..the food needed.more flavour i felt..the congee was good and that was the first time i had that. service..fast ans friendly

Julie C.

Yelp
Hodge podge line Hodge podge Asian cuisine Decent modern atmosphere This is an order up Asian restaurant. To place your order, there are 2 lines, 2 counters. A VIP line where they get priority to place their order. A second line where you need to fight and justify your existence to order! Firecracker shrimp gets a negative score! It is not firecracker shrimp, but undercooked thick wonton wrapped around shrimp and under fried Chiefs skewers meat was dry, flavor was decent but was over sauced! Only star given is the drunken noodle, which isn't a Thai drunken noodle but a Chinese Kuey Tiao Come here if you want to feel punished for dumping your money on these unforgiving slots!

Vishwesh R.

Yelp
Located in the viejas casino resort, with dine in option only and limited seating. Ordered the seafood pan fried noodles and firecracker shrimp. Orders arrived surprisingly fast within minutes. Shrimp was crispy and tasty. Noodles had a variety of seafood with fresh ingredients. The place also has a nice ambience and is well organized to handle the covid guidelines.

Maritess C.

Yelp
I came here for dinner. I was craving ramen so I got the tonkatsu ramen. The ramen noodles were good and the soup was tasty. I wish the soup had more corn. It had the pork pieces and sprouts. It had plenty of ramen noodles. I also got to sample the lumpia. It was hot and tasty with the sweet and spicy sauce. I definitely want to try other things on their menu. I was happy with what I ordered. You walk in and order, pay and then receive a number and take a seat at a table. The food came out in good amount of time. I enjoyed my dining experience here. I just wish the lady would have refilled my Sprite. She never came by to refill my drink. That's my only complaint. Other than that, my ramen was delicious. The inside was cozy and the lighting was nice. You can see the workers in the back making your food. I will definitely come back to try other items.

Rom P.

Yelp
Ginger Noodle Bar is one of the new restaurants at Viejas This Asian fanfare is located in the newest tower at Viejas casino. The ambiance is great, the place looks well placed and there a plenty of seating area. One good thing is that you don't have to wait for a hostess to be seated. Walk up to the counter and order from the menu located behind the cashier. We opted for the General Tsao's chicken and Kalbi ribs. The order is a good portion and it came with a side of steam rice. We shared the meal. The Kalbi rids is similar if not the same as the Korean short ribs. I think that the meat is a little bit on the medium side but then again if it was cooked any longer it would have been a tough meal to eat. The General Tsao's chicken was pretty tasty and it may have been on the salty side or is it MSG. I am not too sure but overall it was still good. Will I be back? Definitively so I can try the other offering on the menu. The price is not too bad but it's not on inexpensive either.

Alex W.

Yelp
Only got the Egg Drop Soup, but it was good. No complaints.

Ed M.

Yelp
I did takeout here on the way out of the casino. The yang chow fried rice was pretty good and solid in portions. As long as you're a club member you will save a few bucks but with tip it can still come out to be fairly pricey. I'm interested in trying the other options here next trip. The place had a good line going earlier midday for lunch so it seems the casino regulars eat here.

Justin M.

Yelp
This place is absolutely incredible. Hot and sour soup and egg drop soup are fantastic- super fresh. The general tsao chicken is super good, ask for extra sauce. Everything here is good including the fried rice kimchi and the Thai fried rice. I think they just re-did the entire place so you may want to give it another shot and ignore past reviews...

Gabriela C.

Yelp
Me an wife visited for Second time and we were able to actually eat at the restaurant and it was so worth the 30min wait in line. Great service, friendly waiters and yummy food.

Misty M.

Yelp
Usually casino restaurants are decent but i really feel bad for Ginger Noodle. Its not even the cooks that are at fault. You have a manager who drinks on the job and come to find out doesn't even track inventory. How do we know? the key ingredient to drunken noodles is FISH SAUCE. first bite inspired disappointment. What brought even more disappointment was the fact that when we asked for some fish sauce ... THEY HAD RUN OUT. ITS BEEN AWHILE. HOW DOES AN "ASIAN" restaurant RUN OUT OF FISH SAUCE?! The food was decent BUT when ingredients are missing I ask myself two things 1.) The cooks must be pretty upset they cant cook to their full potential bc someone isn't ordering enough of the right supplies 2.)how many other people FAIL FAIL TO REALIZE THEIR FOOD IS SUBPAR?! Which of those Im more upset who knows?! I understand now why my dad didn't feel enthused to eat here at first but we wanted to give it a try. This tells me its been going on for awhile. The staff in the back and at the cashier were doing the best they could but like in most establishments where leadership should be given a D or an F, it reflects so apparently. During our experience, another manager, Kevin, came through and saved the day by his efforts in customer service. He should be commended and he was surprised we even told him he was doing a good job. Compared to the other guy, he was putting in WORK. I dont know how this casino runs their place but they shouldn't let poor management keep their paychecks if they let this piece of the casino be subpar. People are led by good leaders so maybe it isnt just the management in this restaurant but the casino as a whole. main takeaway from this review - save your money and eat at a legit asian restaurant. You will get what you paid for at another place

april m.

Yelp
This place has the worst service out of all casino restaurants in San Diego. The food is mediocre but expensive for what you get. I think they raise the price because people are using club discounts. Not a fan.

Ja S.

Yelp
The only dish I really like here is the Kalbi ribs. It's a must try. Everything else is pretty subpar, imo. Overall this place isn't too bad

Susan S.

Yelp
This place is awesome with how fast the food comes out! Service is awesome and the 5 stars goes to a manager named Brendan who is so kind and very helpful....he has such a great attitude. I truly appreciate his positive vibe, if only everyone had such a great attitude! He should be promoted!! employees like him make a customer happy to return back.

Kathy D.

Yelp
Hot & sour soup and egg flower soup were good. Spring rolls were just OK. Need mint. Korean ribs were disappointing. Adobo pork was "meh". Needed the Hoisin sauce we put on it. Will come back to try the pho and review could change.

Macio G.

Yelp
Thank you BK for your excellent guest service! It did not go unnoticed. We appreciate it!

Antonio C.

Yelp
Let me just start off with the food is amazing. It taste great and they have options for vegetarians. When you first come in you will order your food and have the option to take out or not. Either way the food gets finish in a decent time. The customer service was great when my girlfriend and I went there.

Sam S.

Yelp
I gave this place 3 chances. 3 different times, and all 3 times I was disappointed. I ordered different dishes, multiple dishes just to see which one would be good. The only dish that was flavorful and worth eating was the Pad Thai.

Carolina V.

Yelp
This review is for the tonkotsu ramen only. It was absolutely HORRIBLE. The broth has no flavor in it at all. The noodles were the consistency of instant ramen. We piled on scoops of hot sauce in order to give it enough flavor to eat. Will not be back for the soup. Cashier was very sweet though.

Emily S.

Yelp
I absolutely love Viejas. My fiancé's parents stayed here and it was great. I love Vietnamese food since my family is from that area on the globe so naturally I wanted to try this place and it was very good. My fiancé did not like it as much, hence the 4 stars, but I will be coming here often for a nice lunch out! Also the staff is very friendly.

Rebecca S.

Yelp
Probably the worst chicken pad Thai I've ever eaten. Everything about it was mushy- the noodles, eggs, chicken, etc. It lacked flavor and the texture couldn't have been more of a turnoff. Not worth the 30+ min wait to order and sit inside.

Brian L.

Yelp
This is the best place for Chinese and Asia food in Alpine. Mr Jose Troncoso, the head Chef, is exceptional details with the food being serve at Ginger Noodle Bar. I especially like his Thai Style Drunken Noodle. The taste is so good that you think you are at Thailand (He can makes vegetarian dishes with great taste). The Yang Chow Fried Rice is my another favor choice. I love the Matcha Green Tea Roll for my sweet craving. The whole teams (manager Diane) are friendly, prompt, and courteous even they are packed with many customers waiting, but they are do their best and promptly service (usually very busy in dinnertime). Try Ginger Noodle Bar where you are in San Diego CA. Enjoy...

Cindy W.

Yelp
Loved the Asian cuisine here! Nice variety of items to choose from on the menu and the wait staff is friendly! I love eating here with family and then go for a bit of gambling and shopping next door at the outlet mall!

Laura Z.

Yelp
Wow!! where shall I begin I would like to send a big shout out to the general manager "Rick he rocks ginger noodle bar big time. I came in to the restaurant and I order Pho and it was, very flavorful and it had the right touch to it I came. into the casino Nov 22, 2019 and when I do Visit the casino, I always go to the ginger noodle bar? the food is always great and tasty. I have never had any problems whats so ever now that I met and seen Rick I am going to be coming more often I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who comes and visit the Casino. Just like what yelp review says Woohoo As good as it gets!! Rick your the best in my book......

Brad H.

Yelp
The food is not bad, I will give them that (hence the 2 stars and not 1). It is getting the food that is the bad part about this restaurant. I walked in there late one night, and ordered a bowl of their meatball soup. The place was not busy. There were two parties ahead of me in line, and maybe 2 or 3 parties dinning in the restaurant. I stood there and waited for my soup. 10 minutes went by. 20 minutes went by. Still no soup. I looked around the restaurant and noticed that many of the other customers had the same perturbed look on their faces as they waited for their food. So I assumed this was a pretty common occurrence here. So 30 minutes goes by, and I go up to the counter and ask about my food. "They're working on it now". Is the only answer I got. So I waited another 5 minutes....no soup. Finally I told them I wanted my order canceled and my money refunded. The manager came out. No apologies. No offer to rush my food out. She just gave me my refund and I left. I did go back a second time a few weeks later to try the place again. This time, there was a long line. I never ended up getting the food the second time either, but at least this time they had the decency to tell me the food was going to take an hour to prepare. I wouldn't recommend against going to this place. Like I said, the food is good. But if you are going to go there, go to the restaurant an hour ahead of time and order your food, then come back in an hour to pick it up. And you need to go into the restaurant to order because they don't take orders over the phone if the wait is more than 30 minutes. And the wait is ALWAYS more than 30 minutes!
