"The latest offering from prolific North Carolina restaurateur Giorgios Bakatsias is part upscale food market and part all-day cafe. The menu offers classic European and American cafe cuisine, with a slight nod to Bakatsias’s Greek heritage (chicken souvlaki, Greek meatballs, and a quiche filled with sweet potato, zucchini, onion, dill, feta, and Manouri cheese). There is a full coffee bar, as well as grab-and-go meals and a Sunday brunch." - Matt Lardie

We really enjoyed our lunch here! Would eat here again just to try more of the food options. There are so many and they all look great. Great place for groups with different palates. The staff were soo helpful and friendly. Nice outdoor patio. My friend really liked her quiche. The beets were delicious!

What can I say but Fabulous! The atmosphere is fantastic, and the food is flavorful and delicious. I had the Greek Quiche, perfectly tall, fluffy, and full of sweet onion, cheese, smooth feta, and zucchini! This was my first time here, and this “GEM” did not disappoint! Next time we visit Bull City, we will return!

First time here and really liked the vibes. Lots of food options including bakery items. Plenty of seating as well - both outdoors and indoors. You need to validate parking but it’s free. My chocolate cheesecake was heavy but good.

Good selection of hot/+ cold food, salad, bakery, desert, coffee; even wine. Love the decor and relaxing atmosphere; with an option of indoor + outdoor sitting area. An excellent place to hang out with friends and family! Very helpful and friendly staff members. I would highly recommend GEM and would keep going back!!

Jacqueline is the amazing! She knew the menu forward and backwards. Every question we asked she had an answer for it. Her smile was awesome and she greeted us. The food, it’s a vibe on its own. Great place to host meetings and they have a private room. Definitely want to check out. Again thank you Jacqueline.

Visited Giorgios for the first time today. I was blown away by the at atmosphere and how inviting the place felt. They have a large selection of bottles of wine for purchase. I ordered the fried chicken biscuit and bacon off their brunch menu. The chicken was tender and the biscuit was super soft. The food was just okay too me. The chicken itself was pretty greasy (fired chicken of course) and could have been seasoned a bit more. I also had a vanilla latte with oat milk. It was really busy on Sunday for brunch, and the staff was super busy and not unfriendly. I felt taken care of although I waited a LONG time for my latte. All in all it was a good experience and I’ll be back. I’ll be ordering something different though. Also, I can’t wait to try the pasties. I plan to bring my Mom by. Wherever I live, I try to find the perfect bakery to take my Mother when she visited. I now have The perfect bakery in 4 other cities. We’ll see if Giorgios is that place in Raleigh.

Went here for dessert and coffee. What a beautiful market. Terrific relaxed atmosphere indoor and out. Had drip coffee and it was very good. My husband and I shared an almond croissant and and almond creme bundt cake. Both were yum 😋 Next time we'll have a meal. I highly recommend this place.

Google
GEM was fantastic. Tons of food choices and everything was delicious. My iced matcha latte was perfect. I got a salad with grilled chicken that was delicious. They have tons of cute gifts. This is the perfect place to meet up with friends. Next time I go, I want to try all their fancy desserts.

Yelp
This is a hidden gem in Raleigh! The salmon was fresh and seasoned well. I highly recommend the caprese or Greek salad, both had fresh ingredients and flavorful. The restaurant had indoor, bar, and outdoor seating I opted to eat on the patio which had tons of options. Food was brought out in a timely manner and staff checked on me regularly. Will definitely be back to explore more options. PS the almond croissant was so amazing I devoured before I could take a pic lol

Yelp
Great food! Everyone was very welcoming and friendly. There was a lot to choice from for ready to eat food. You also had the choice of purchasing market food, coffee, bakery items, and other drinks. It reminds you of an old world feel with all inclusive dining experience included. We spent about $100 for all items we purchased and everything was worth the money. Will definitely be back!

Yelp
I enjoyed my experience at Giorgios Epicurean Market. The variety of options available was impressive, making it hard to choose! I decided on the meatballs, kale salad, and potato salad. Everything was absolutely delicious, but what really took me by surprise was the potato salad. The addition of dill was such a delightful touch. I've never tried white potato salad before, and it exceeded my expectations; the potatoes were cooked to perfection. It's such a joy to find a place that makes potato salad as well as my family does--it really made my day!

Yelp
A staycation in a store. GEM is an amazing addition to the Triangle food scene! They have a great selection of products in the market (olive oils, pasta, jams, wine) and various food stations (butcher, bakery, cafe) where you can order food for dine in or take home. They have lots of indoor and outdoor seating, which also makes it a great place to bring your laptop and work remotely. 10/10!!

Yelp
Coffee is solid, lunch menu is decent. But the prices are insane. I'm okay paying for premium items, but this place takes it to an entirely new level. My Americano was over $5 (most coffee shops would be ~$3.50) and a salad with chicken came out to over $22 for dine in. The salad was nothing special and far more expensive than high end steakhouses. This restaurant would be great if they were about 25% less expensive, but at their prices, I won't be back. My office is around the corner from them and this was the consistent opinion by the ~20+ people in my office. Great concept, wrong price point.

Yelp
Giorgio's Epicurean in Raleigh is an absolute delight! The ambiance is cozy yet upscale, creating the perfect setting for a relaxing meal or coffee break. The food is impeccably fresh, with every dish crafted to perfection and full of vibrant flavors. But the true stars are the pastries--beautifully made, indulgent, and downright irresistible. Whether you're stopping by for breakfast, lunch, or just a sweet treat, Giorgio's delivers an exceptional experience every time. A must-visit spot in Raleigh!

Yelp

Yelp
Beautiful building with curated gifts and candies ranging from $-$$$$. We tried the margherita pizza and it was incredible. The cheese they're using is a tier above anything else I've had in Raleigh. The kids split some bakery items and were very happy. I've been back for the pizza twice since first trying it it was so good. The staff was very friendly.

Yelp
Quaint place with specialty foods and a small restaurant. Amazing looking pastries. We had brunch here during our first weekend in Raleigh. My Gem Brunch sandwich was bland. She liked her Gem Salad. We tried to buy something from the store but left after waiting in vain for someone at the register.

Yelp
The minute you walk in the door you feel like you are in a European market. We were welcomed by several hosts as soon as we came in the door. There is a paid parking lot that is complimentary for patrons. There are barcodes inside you can use to validate your parking. The inside has a market vibe with various stations to purchase food and drinks. Today there was a Spanish wine tasting that offered some delicious wines. We arrived after the lunch crowd and had coffee and scones from the bakery. We sat outside to enjoy the ambiance where there were fresh flowers on our table that smelled incredible! We will definitely be back again to try lunch or dinner. George kicked it out of the park on this place! And, West End Bistrot is right next door. You'll want to visit soon. I know we will.

Yelp
Best brunch I've had in Raleigh. Incredible scones, mine was savory with rosemary, pineapple and goat cheese, my wife had a scone with apple and a sugar glaze. The eggs benedict were on fresh baked biscuits, with fried green tomatoes and a salty ham. My wife had the Greek quiche which was awesome. The coffee was fresh brewed and tasty, the was service fast and the people cordial. All the pastries were freshly baked and the meals were innovative and tasty. Best brunch from the best chef in Raleigh.

Chris W.

Yelp
Nice concept but the service is slow. 10 employees and 9 customers tonight. The food is crawling out of the kitchen. Disappointing based on the good and ambiance.

Shelby H.

Yelp
Amazing coffee, amazing pastries. Everything we've tried here is delicious. The gem breakfast sandwich, cream puffs, eclairs and Italian sandwiches are some of our favorites. Cocktails are great too!

Nicole L.

Yelp
The market is so cute, lots of different options of wines, good food. A little more on the pricey side, but the food came out relatively quickly. We had the honey chicken biscuit and gem salad for brunch!

Julie B.

Yelp
Raleigh is lucky to have this place! I stopped in today to buy some gifts and Kate was incredibly helpful and hilarious! The menu is exciting and fresh. I look forward to trying something from the bakery and coffee next time!

Yelp
If you like doing all the work when you go out to eat, GEM is for you. From validating parking, to standing on line to place order, busing yoyr dishes. it's work. Prices should be lower in light of all that. yes, I'm a senior, but this style of restaurant service feels unwelcoming and is a rip off. Do not the recommend margarita pizza.
