🍕🧄 Giorgio’s Pizza: Where crust meets destiny 🧄🍕 Was in Indy for a business trip and had a few hours to orbit the city circle. That’s when my nose led me to Giorgio’s Pizza—like a bloodhound trained on mozzarella. I smelled it before I saw it. Pizzaaa! 🎯 This place is a delicious little gem tucked into downtown like it’s hiding from calorie counters. Pizza by the slice? Yes please. I grabbed a meat lovers slice, some breadsticks, and an ice cold beer—aka the holy trinity of lunch break indulgence 🍕🍺🥖 The pizza? Chef’s kiss with a side of crunch. That crust had just enough crisp to say “I’m serious,” but enough flex to whisper “I’m still fun.” Not floppy. Not soggy. Just right. The breadsticks were carb-tastic, dunked in tangy marinara that made me want to high-five the sauce guy 👏🍅 Staff were friendly and fast—even with the lunch rush building like a pepperoni-powered stampede. They kept the line moving like pros at a pizza rodeo. Fun vibe, great food, and the kind of place that makes you wish your meeting got canceled so you could stay for another slice. Don’t hesitate—this spot is a slice of Indy heaven. #GiorgiosPizza #MeatLoversMagic #CrustGoals #BreadstickBliss #IndyEats #PizzaByTheSlice #LunchBreakLegend #HiddenGemAlert #SauceSquad #BusinessTripBite #NotFloppyNotSorry 🍕💥

Google
NY style thin pizza by the slice. The price is good. They have bread sticks, salad, and lasagna as well. It's a long skinny joint. Beer and wine are available. I'm not a fan of thin crust, but I liked it. Good folks too.

Google
My first time visiting Indianapolis didn’t disappoint! The staff was extremely friendly and nice. Just great customer service overall. Will definitely be back here one day. The pizza here was super good & affordable. The salad was good and fresh. Also very kid approved- my brothers new favorite pizza haha!

K M

Google
Pizza was amazing, crust was top notch, not too heavy handed on the toppings so it wasn’t greasy and let the dough shine. Everything a pizza should be IMO.

Nicholas Y.

Google
Pizza was delicious, staff was kind and friendly. Real secret is the bread sticks. I got mine with the pepperoni. It was fantastic. Will be back back next time I get to Indy!

Google
This is my favorite pizza place in downtown Indy. Served by the slice with 2 breadsticks and a drink, it’s the perfect amount for lunch or quick dinner. Fair warning, it gets PACKED at lunch time and might be overwhelming for a first timer. The staff is efficient and helpful, and the prices are very fair. If the weather’s nice, you could get it to go and eat on monument circle. All that to say, give this place a try!!

Nicholas K.

Google
I've been told by several sources to try this, as it is like NYC style pizza and comparable! The breadsticks/cheese felt a bit basic/plain to me, I can't say the double-stacked slices were great BUT the simple pepperoni slice was pretty good I'll say. I think their best work likely is in the simple slices.

Google
Very disappointing I would not recommend this Eatery whatsoever. Went and got a piece of cheese pizza ask if they was any like combo with a Coke for it what look like the manager owner said yes a piece of cheese pizza to breadsticks and medium Coke for $10.99 after my marinara and tax it was pretty much 15. But literally the cheese pizza had little to no taste at all the sauce was very little on it and the breadsticks we're definitely nothing to write home about.. as you can see from the pictures I think you can do much better for $15 even downtown. Also refills on a medium drink I was told was 85 cents. Also the staff did not seem very welcoming in my opinion

Yelp
I was pleased to find that Giorgio's Pizza was only 480 ft in distance from the hotel I stayed at while visiting the city of Indianapolis. My visit came post leaving the Indiana Convention Center for Indianapolis Monumental Marathon Health & Fitness Expo and Packet Pickup. With it being so close to my hotel, I knew that I would visit at some point to carb load prior to the run. Looking at the displays of pizza, I took interest in and ended up ordering a white slice with a can of dr pepper - strawberries & cream. As my slice was being heated in the oven, I had the opportunity to look around as well as admire the pictures near the entrance, which featured memorable sporting moments as well as some with the owner. Giorgio's has an acceptable number of tables with seats in the dining area to give you a chance to enjoy your meal onsite while it is hot and fresh. Prior to tasting my white slice, I could not resist smirking, as I smelt its garlicky smell and glanced at it in my lap which prompted my mouth to salivate. It had a slightly crunchy, yet satisfying taste. I highly recommend it if you are looking for a slice of pizza that will surely leave you satisfied in that moment. In closing, I had a great experience as I have indicated in this review of Giorgio's Pizza. And with that being said, I share my endorsement of it as well with you all on yelp. Giorgio's is the perfect stop if you are out near Monument Circle and looking for a quick slice. Service: 5 | Ambiance: 4 | Food: 5 ~ Good vibes coming your way ~ Thomas G

Yelp
Came in for lunch and ordered two slices, The inside looks a little dated, but with nice pictures. The pizza itself was pretty good for Indianapolis, New York style pizza spot. I would definitely be coming back if I was craving a New York style slice in the city
google avatar

Yelp
As good as New York style pizza gets in Indiana! Well priced at $5 per very large slice! The crust was thin crispy and delicious! The plain cheese and margarita pizza were tasty and fresh. Fun and pizza on the circle! One slice is plenty for lunch or a downtown walking around snack! Get2 for dinner or if you are super hungry!

Yelp
Hands down our favorite spot! We love to come n it's always a good time! Great staff! Always super friendly! AMAZING pizzas!

Yelp
After a long and freezing walk around Downtown Indianapolis, this was THE PERFECT end to our night. There was plenty of room to sit and enjoy your pizza. We ordered two white, one sausage and one ham and pepperoni. The crust was outstanding. It was the closest to an NY Pizza I've had recently. Because the pizzas were so good, we ordered a Cannoli - and it was delicious. We were served our orders very quickly. I highly recommend you stop by here if you're in downtown Indianapolis.

Yelp
There is just something to be said for pizza by the slice, served quickly, piping hot, and with a smile. I've been coming here for years, but back in 2020 when I was one of the only people going to the office to work, they were always open and always kept a positive attitude. I don't work downtown anymore, but whenever I'm over that way I love to stop in, see a familiar face, and enjoy a huge slice of pizza.

Chris R.

Yelp
This place is great and always reliable for a nice big slice of pizza. I get the supreme each time but their calzones are also awesome. Also, they have Peroni beer!

Yelp
As Yelp's Niki B pointed out, back in 2021, I had a lot of the same issues when I came here on a random Thursday night in December, 2024. Food: New York-style pizzerias are, by definition, going to have pizzas sitting out, to some degree. However, I felt that my two slices were overcooked and ultra well-done when handed to me. Service: There was one person working behind the counter, and she was a bit overwhelmed. Ambiance: You know what you're getting into when you come to a place like this, but overall I felt like the place was a bit dirty. Not horribly, but everything just felt a little dark & dreary.
google avatar

Jared C.

Yelp
A classic spot for quick pizza. Very close to the circle down town and worth the try!
google avatar

PJ S.

Yelp
Georgio has some good eats...but also a few demerits. Nice location right off monument circle. The storefront is small but it actually leads into a pretty sizeable room in the building. So there's lots more seating then you would expect from the outside. People were super nice behind the counter and seemed to take pride in their work. I got a calzone which tasted ok but was a little light on filling. It was 75% dough and just a few tablespoons of the goodies inside. They need to stuff that up a little more. Also - its not a self serve drink station. You just get one and done on the drinks (unless the refill for you). I didnt ask - so maybe thats how it works. Regardless you gotta have the self serve station. Pizza looked good so maybe thats the way to go. Not a bad little place.

Yelp
While staying at a downtown hotel for the weekend, we stumbled across G's Pizza. Located near the War Memorial, G's serves up New York style pizza, sub sandwiches, and some other Italian entrees. The dining area was packed on a Saturday evening but we managed to find a seat and the staff brought out order out to us. We ordered pizza slices with bread sticks and drinks. While I'm not generally a big fan of New York pizza and its typically thin, droopy crust, this version was quite good. The crust was properly crisp without being tough. The dough is hand-tossed and the pizza maker clearly knew his craft, getting a thin pie without overworking the dough. The sauce had a nice kick of pepper but not overly spicy and was perfect for both the pizza and a dipping sauce for the bread sticks. Overall, this is a great place for a tasty and quick meal. Recommended.

Yelp
We loved the cheese pizza and the cannolis. Best cannolis I've ever had. We've been walking by for a bit and it always smells so good outside

Yelp
Okay so I'm from New York City and now live in Indiana. There is NO pizza like NY pizza at all!! I have to thank Giorgio's pizza for this amazing pizza and making me feel at home. This is the closest to NYC pizza period. I have had a lot of pizza in Indiana and by far Giorgio's is my favorite. They are across the street from the monument. For now on when I'm in Indianapolis I will be getting me a slice from Giorgio's !! Thank me later my New York people. You can't go wrong here!
google avatar

Darin F.

Yelp
Always fantastic service & quality food!! My son and I love Giorgio's and have been going since he was a toddler. My father took me there many years ago near when it was first opened. New York style pizza made fresh everyday! It reminds me of a New York restaurant where it's located in Indy off of the circle & looks the part on the inside with Italian decor & celebrity photos. We've always felt so welcomed & comfortable in Giorgio's. I recommend the Stromboli or calzone. So flipping good!!!
google avatar

Paul G.

Yelp
We got some slices, including cheese, combo and pepperoni. Everyone liked their pizza. Nothing mind blowing, but a good quality slice. My soft drink was almost all ice unfortunately. The lady working didn't seem super happy about being there (in opposition to pretty much everyone else we have met in Indianapolis so far). As an aside--I think it's hilarious that several people have accidentally written reviews for the nearby Giordano's (Chicago style pizza) on Giorgio's page, a NY style pizzeria. We will be going to Giordano's tomorrow and actually chose Giorgio's because the kids were hungry and I know Giordano's takes around 40 minutes for a deep dish.

Jordan A.

Yelp
Baked beef lasagna. 0/10. Ordered from Feb bar area and they re-heat using a microwave. The edges are hard, and the sauce is like water. Also if you pay using your card, they add a 4% service charge. Sodas by the fountain are 2.95 and no refills.

Whitney R.

Yelp
If you are in the mood for pizza, go ahead and pass this place up. The lasagna was served from a microwave which ruined it and a drink was 2.95 plus tax with no refills ("that was an up charge") The dinning room was dirty. Find a better pizza joint to eat at, very disappointed in this one.

Omar M.

Yelp
1 Star I ordered a Margherita pizza and was given a completely different item--a white pizza. When I contacted the restaurant about the mistake, they refused to issue a refund, even though I spent $64 on the order. Mistakes happen, but what's unacceptable is the refusal to take responsibility or correct the issue. I wasn't offered a refund, a replacement, or even an apology--just dismissal. If you value getting what you paid for and being treated with basic respect as a customer, I'd strongly recommend ordering elsewhere. There are too many great local spots to support one that doesn't stand behind its service or product.

Yelp
I just think it is one of the best lunches in the area. We're regulars and our favorite waitress Heather always takes care of us.
google avatar

Sarah S.

Yelp
Been eating at Giorgio's Pizza for over 30 years and the pizza is still the best NY style in Indianapolis. They also have great, simple, American Italian food and great lunch specials. Their pepperoni stuffed breadsticks are delicious, too. A downtown Indy lunch staple or get a pie to go for dinner. Can't go wrong! Love Giorgio's!!
google avatar

Nic D.

Yelp
The atmosphere is like a true New York pizzeria. We had high hopes just getting back from nyc and this place did not disappoint. We got the single jumbo slices of cheese pizza and two plain breadsticks. The crust of the pizza is excellent and 100% like a true ny pizza. The cheese and sauce are very good but I was left wanting more sauce. Luckily they threw in both a cheese and marinara sauce and that made it even better. The breadsticks were good but nothing to brag about. My only negative remark is that we were misgendered several times by the same person in our 30 second interaction of ordering the pizza. Overall, it was a great experience and the staff felt friendly.

Salina M.

Yelp
Food is great!! Service is fast & the woman you have working is the sweetest! Give her a raise she deals with a lot of stress through here lol! 10/10
google avatar

Tina M.

Yelp
Small place downtown close to the circle. We went to see the Christmas tree. The kids wanted a snack so we stopped here when leaving. The service was quick and our pepperoni breadsticks were delicious. We did not drink alcohol but they do serve it.
google avatar

Nicole H.

Yelp
I have been going here for years but recently someone told me that Giorgio's did the best margherita pizza. WELL, I had to try it out...and this is correct! Some things to know about this place: - it's a small shop with a lot of takeout options and downtown delivery. The owner is usually there, and sometimes singing in Italian. - They have pizza by the slice and other single-serve Italian items to go. I LOVE the Stuffed Pepperoni Pizza. It's so good! -If you order a full pizza, wow, it is enormous. - True New York Style pizza - The cannoli is amazing! - It's right by Monument Circle so I like to browse the comic book shop next door, get pizza, and read comics on the steps of the monument.
google avatar

Lauren R.

Yelp
We stopped in after an event we were working on Monument Circle and were exhausted and hungry The staff were so kind and served us quickly. The owner was really engaging, friendly, generous, and cool. Pizza was really delicious, with a NY Style crust, which I love. I definitely will be back!
google avatar

Mike M.

Yelp
Rolled the dice on unearthing a little NY style sweet nectar in the middle of the Midwest and hit the jackpot here. Pulled up with the intention of just doing two slices. Not a chance, the trifecta was necessary and wholly worth it. Giorgio's might be a sweeter scent than your Armani. Definitely hit it up if you're trying to get pizza in downtown Indy, it was the best option by far.
google avatar

Niki B.

Yelp
I wanted to write this review because the pizza here was really good and I want them, as well as downtown Indy, to succeed. With just a few changes, I think it could be a really awesome, hopping place. A few things: - Pizza case: When I walked in and saw the pizzas all just sitting out, uncovered, it made me hesitant. How long had they been sitting there? They definitely either need to get a glass case to cover the pizzas, or have them lined up in the back so the customer doesn't have to wonder. The staff were unmasked, which is fine, but watching them hover and breathe over the pizzas was not appetizing. - Staff: I know there's a massive staffing shortage right now, so I have a lot of compassion towards this issue. However, the person working the counter made me feel incredibly uncomfortable, as in the five minutes I was in there, he started talking at me about sex education in schools (um, what?!). That felt inappropriate, especially towards a woman who is in the shop alone. - General: I didn't feel cleanliness vibes that I'd like to feel when ordering food and think the place could use a bit of a refresh and scrubdown. Again, the pizza slice was really good when it was warmed up and handed to me. I like how the crust got crispy and the cheese was all melty. However, I chose cheese because I didn't feel great about the slices with meat that had been sitting out, as well as the entire ordering experience. I truly hope to be able to update this review to more stars in the future!

Yelp
The mark of a great eatery's sustained excellence is consistently excellent food and service. As a visitor to a city every few years, you notice if the next visit was as good as the last. Giorgio's is that great for pizza and, I'm sure, other items. Mind you, all I got the other day was a slice of cheese pizza. It was heated piping hot and absolutely delicious to me as a traveler who had a long day and needed something great. For a slice of cheese pizza to be that something great, at New York City pizzeria levels, that's saying something. Also the lady at the register, she was outstanding and kind, even for just being rung up for a piece of pizza. You felt like a valued customer, almost a friend, the way she interacts. And if dining there, they bring it right to your table on an actual plate. Just a really kind vibe. Also, although I only got a slice of pizza, I noticed they have some excellent specials around $10 that includes multiple items, for example two slices of pizza, a drink and knots/sticks. Highly recommend!
google avatar

Dan S.

Yelp
Giorgio's Pizza never fails to satisfy my craving for a great NY style slice. I highly recommend the Giorgios Special if you're a fan of a traditional supreme pizza. It's the perfect amount of topping, each bit you're tastebuds are left savoring the different flavor profiles. I would also be remissed if I didn't touch on the integrity of the crust. It's the perfect combination of crunch and softness. Whether you're looking for a single slice or a full pizza, go to Giorgios. It's also a bit tough reading the slightly degrading reviewing about how the pizza is just sitting out on the counter. This is consistent with any NY slice pizzeria so it's unfortunate that negative reviews are being attributed to this. There's a reason they fire them back in the oven to warm them back up. #SupportLocal

Yelp
Picture this you're at the last evening of your 12 day training, learning new content, & living in a hotel for the duration of your stay you want something good to eat but you don't want to leave until it's time to go to the airport. Giorgio's Pizza is right around the corner from the Sheraton, I easily ordered via Yelp and scheduled my delivery to be an hour later. My delivery arrived on time, and the order was still warm considering the cool weather. I ordered two of following Vegetarian, cheese slices, salad, and cannolis for my nanny and I. My nanny started to eat before I did and she quickly raves on how good the pizza was; she was right it was delicious!!! I will definitely order from here again, the ingredients were fresh and bold in flavor; if you're in the area I highly recommend!!!
google avatar

Matthew S.

Yelp
I'll start with the good: Crust was nice and crunchy. The amount of cheese was pretty decent and didn't overwhelm the pizza. The so-so: My pepperoni slice was just a cheese slice with a couple pepperoni thrown on top so they weren't really baked in. I guess that's okay? Not so good: Most of the staff walked around behind the counter in full view of customers without masks. Mask use is very lax here. Overall, the pizza was okay, but the mask usage is probably going to keep me from re-visiting.

Gerald K.

Yelp
Still waiting on food to be provided to delivery driver going on 45 mins past original time for delivery. WTF? If this is what you do, need to be better. Obviously a busy night with Colts game etc. At least communicate updated ETA vs making people call grubhub. At this point don't really care about how good the food is. #hangry. Updated: Standing by prior comments regarding timing and communication. But food quality offset much of the hangriness. Family gave positive reviews after I woke them up to eat. XL pepperoni pizza and nice italian sub.Word to the wise: order early and don't bank on the estimated time if using delivery app. Update to 4 stars

Yelp
Giorgio's feels like you are walking into a New York pizza restaurant. I like how you can order by the slice for a quick option. I ended up ordering a combo, with a slice of pizza, drink, breadsticks and cheese. The pizza had a nice crisp crust. The staff was friendly and they had a lot of seating available.

Michael W.

Yelp
Pizza was good asked for extra sauce but it did not have it, unless it was so little to begin with.

Yelp
Small enjoyable family restaurant with great food and enjoyable atmosphere. Food is premade but still very enjoyable!

Yelp
Rubber slice. Poor management. 1. If you're open til 10, you can't just stop making pies at 9 because you want to be out the door by closing time. There are people in line and walking in to order pizza...at 9:25 how can you just shrug, point to a basket of breadsticks, 2 calzones, 2 slices of ground beef pizza n say "that's all I've got." It's poor customer service and flat out lazy. 2. Just because it's shaped like an NY slice, don't be fooled. The cheese is is very cheap and the sauce has almost no flavor. Someone said it was crispy...but my slice was a droopy impersonation of a crispy, foldable, NY slice that tasted more like that rubber garbage that came with elementary school lunch once upon a time. 3. If the slice wasn't absolutely mediocre, I wouldn't mind paying 5.50 for the slice of cheese...but again, this "pizza" would've been best paired with a small juice box and a subsequent recess. If they didn't have such a high traffic location they'd be out of business. Could. Not. Pay. Me. To. Go. Back.
google avatar

Johnny A.

Yelp
We came here about 30 mins before closing. The two guys behind the counter were nice and promptly took care of us. We order two slices and a pepperoni bread stick. The wait was not that long. The memorabilia on the walls were cool to look at. There was also a women behind the counter and she was complaining about something the whole time. She made our short wait very annoying. We are staying across the street at the Hilton and when we got to our room the pizza tasted like it had been sitting there all day. Did not finish our food. Very disappointed.
google avatar

Gary L.

Yelp
I love Giorgio's. Get a whole pie in the summer, sit outside at one of their sidewalk tables, and enjoy eating while you watch life going by at the circle in Indianapolis
google avatar

Jessi A.

Yelp
Another weekend... another restaurant review ! Today I had a lunch date that landed me at Giorgio's ! Right when you walk in, you feel like you're teleported to a little pizza place in New York ! The smells of the parlor hit you in a wave ! You can buy pizza buy the slice or a whole pie. They also have breadsticks and calzones ! I got a vegetarian calzone and it was SO good ! I mean soooo good ! It was packed full of grilled veggies ! And SUPER cheesy ! I definitely recommend it to anyone who is a calzone fan. The prices are also really great, in my opinion, for the quality ! Absolutely delicious !

Yelp
The food was just OK, the pizza was dry and overcooked. Not enough sauce. The flavor was pretty bland. But the killer for me was that they overcharged me. I didn't even look at the menu. I just trusted the guy and then after come to find out, they charge me $28 for a two topping pizza but it's supposed to be $20 and not a lot of money but enough for it to be a hassle.
google avatar

Michael P.

Yelp
This place is great! NY pizza by the slice AND Sicilian style, too! Just had a slice of Sicilian (cheese) and ate outside taking in the scenery by the Soldier's and Sailor's Monument. Very pleasant. And great service, too, from all the guys. I would definitely return here to get my fix of NY pizza. Lots of choices here. I know, I know, Barbeaux, haven't tried it yet. Nor Pizzeria Di Tito, which is also supposed to be good. But I really like this place and with only limited time in Indy, I can't see straying from here. That's how much I enjoyed my slice. Plus I have to try the regular slice too. That's it, I've decided. Coming back tomorrow for the regular NY slice. Oh and the fountain drinks - very good, just the right mixture of carbonation and syrup. Definite thumbs up for this place.
google avatar

Emm M.

Yelp
The best pizza in Indy hands down. Bar none. Something in the sauce is just amazing. Nothing else in town comes close. Quick service. Friendly employees. You have to check this place out if you are in downtown Indy.
google avatar

Rina B.

Yelp
Best NY pizza we have had in forever. Great pizza! We orderes ddelivery and the pizza came quick and piping hot.

Tina R.

Yelp
Everything was amazing as usual great people and great food how can you go wrong they also remodeled it looks amazing inside too
google avatar

Trittipo T.

Yelp
Hands down, the best NY-style pizza in Indy. My favorite is the basic hand-tossed pepperoni. Keep it simple! The crust is soft, the slices are huge and the sauce is perfect (it's salty! the way it should be! there's nothing worse than sweet tomato sauce!). When I find myself craving a big ol' floppy slice with that orange pepperoni sweat running off the top, I call and order a 16" carry out and it's always warm and ready within 15 minutes. Dip that S.O.B. in some ranch too and you'll enter the celestial realm. Their lasagna is fire too. They can make a whole 1/2-baked lasagna tray plus meat sauce if you order in advance. Just keep it refrigerated & finish baking the day of (perfect for my annual ski trips, btw!!!).

Elizabeth M.

Yelp
I lived in New York city for four years, so I'm very picky about my pizza. The Midwest continuously disappoints. But Giorgios's has been my saving grace. I typically order ahead, and the lady who answers the phone is always so kind. Food is always hot and tastes great. It's the perfect balance of cheese, sauce, and crust. Reminds me of a real New York Pizza shop--No frills and no overpriced, mediocre food. It's good food. Good service.
google avatar

Jennifer W.

Yelp
Pizza and salads are always excellent and reasonably priced. My go-to lunch spot when working downtown!

Yelp
I had a pie here Monday evening and it was outta site. When I'm in town again I'll definitely stop back here.

Yelp
Always good. A great Circle tradition. Perfect for tonight, "Italian Night" at the Indy Symphony.
