loved this place, it was my first time here and I absolutely fell in love with the food everything was so delicious our waiter was so kind, but i definitely recommend. Gained a new customer!

Firstly, my server Jacob was very friendly, welcoming, and helpful. The food was amazing and was served hot and timely. I must’ve waited less than 10 minutes to receive my food. Everything was very tasty and the prices are very very reasonable. If you are looking for a good lowkey Italian cuisine I would suggest checking out Gio’s. The pictures are the tortellini and lasagna.

Great authentic food! Homemade bread, noodles and sauce. At first glance seems like small unassuming restaurant: avoid Olive Garden and eat real authentic food. The staff is awesome. This is a must if you love Italian cuisine.

The best Italian food I've found in Fort Worth since I moved into the area. Very quaint and cozy. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The food was incredible. The desert canoli was to die for. Just as I remember as a kid. If you love Italian food, this place is a must try. Will absolutely be there again and again. Can't wait to try the pizza. 🤤

We went there for dinner yesterday and we were pleasantly surprised! The mozzarella sticks , delicious!!! The calamari was good but we preferred it to be a lil bit crispier but it did have good flavor. I had the chicken Alfredo and it was very saucy , chicken pieces were good not over cooked. My husband had the chicken parm and he enjoyed it.. we also had a cheese pizza on the side and you can tell the sauce is not from can it tasted authentic and it was not overly acidic like the Olive Garden marinara.. we will deff be going back! Especially to try the homemade bread. Service was great too and everything came out fresh and hot.

Hands Down One of the Best Italian Restaurants I’ve Ever Been To! Giovanni’s Italian Kitchen truly blew us away! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm, friendly service that made us feel right at home. The environment was cozy and inviting, and the staff went above and beyond to make sure we were well taken care of. I ordered the special a creamy mushroom chicken dish and it was absolutely phenomenal. Every bite was rich, flavorful, and comforting. My husband had the trio, and he couldn’t stop raving about it. You could truly taste the love and authenticity in every dish. It reminded me of the incredible meals my Italian grandmother would cook when she came into town. That kind of nostalgic, heartwarming experience is rare to find in a restaurant these days. We’ll definitely be back Giovanni’s has earned a permanent spot on our favorites list! Highly recommend to anyone craving real, soulful Italian cuisine.

We can’t give this restaurant enough stars! It is SO GOOD and one of our all time favorites! The food, service, and atmosphere are top tier! It’s an intimate setting but so nice! We always get the garlic bread with marinara to start, I always order the lasagna and my boyfriend switches it up every time we go. He has tried multiple dishes and is always beyond satisfied with each dish! Try this restaurant if you’re looking for delicious, authentic Italian food! You won’t be disappointed!

Yelp
08/24/2025 why have I not been back sooner?!! This place is still amazing! The bread was hot and delicious. Real Butter yum!! The taste of Italy was one of the specials. Lasagna, chicken Parmesan and Fettuccine Alfredo and a soup or salad. $20.99 what a deal! The food was fresh and hot. I swear no one has hit food anymore. The lasagna was my favorite! The chicken Parma was a very close 2nd. The Alfredo went home and I will add chicken tomorrow for lunch. I was stuffed!! Lots of folks were taking food to go. Perfect meal! It is byob. I will try to remember for next time!

Yelp
i love simplistic great food, and giovanni's has it! this is a small little italian restaurant nestled in a away in a neighborhood. the decor is not super updated, but who cares when you're there for the pasta?!! the service was amazing and what you would expect from a family owned restaurant. they do not serve alcohol but it is byob, so grab some wine on your way in. there is not a single complaint about any of the food or service. let this be your sign to go check it out! bonne appétit

Yelp
The food was 4 stars: really good and a few things like manicotti I don't often see on the menu at other places. But I don't think it can overcome the ambience and setting for me. The staff seemed very nice but service was slow (getting menus took awhile, then a drink was forgotten and then the wrong one brought out). And the tables and chairs were wet from being wiped down when we were seated (at least we know they were wiped down?) The lighting was so low it became inconvenient. Overall, we were out with family and I feel responsible for selecting this option for dinner. It wasn't terrible, but I wish I'd selected somewhere different and I think that says a lot.

Yelp
I went to Giovanni's based on the reviews from YELP and I decided upon pickup because I have a new baby at home, I don't live too far just about 10 minutes round trip. I ordered two Entree's, and they were both pretty bad... The sauce tasted like flour and milk.. I don't know how to explain it just overall not good. I was very disappointed as we were hungry, spent the money and had to leave to pick up. The service was good I guess, I mean they picked up the phone quick and we're friendly. The parking lot had enough space and wasn't busy on a Friday at 6ish.

Yelp
My Dad wanted Spaghetti for dinner. I remembered he liked Giovanni's Spaghetti. This restaurant is conveniently located off Crowley Road. So, I headed there only to discover they were closed and open at 4 pm? I walked in and the owner quickly said, We are not open. Then the guy behind him said, come on in. Then the owner said, he will take care of you. Then, another guy said come, sit down, and he proceeded to turn the TV on. Then, he asked me if I wanted a drink. I said, 'Sure if it's on the house." Lol. He said, I'll make you some fresh Tea. I said ok. Then he asked, how the Tea was. I said, It's good!" He said , Do you need anything else? I asked for some lemons and he brought it out. I waited just a few minutes and my order was ready! The cook brought my food out with a smile. The waiter came and said, would you like a bag for that? I said, Yea, that would be helpful! Then he said, would you like some more Tea and filled my drink up! He also, wanted me to have a menu before I left but, he couldnt find one so he gave me a business card. He asked, if I wanted anything else. I explained, I was having soup and my Dad was having the Spaghetti. The waiter said, "I see." I ordered the Tortellini Soup. It was delicious. It wasy my first time ordering this kind of soup. It was not listed on the Menu. I asked for it. My Soup was loaded with oil Butter and Salt making it creamy and flavorful. My soup had lots of Pasta, Zucchini, and Squash as well. The waiter went above and beyond for me. He was so nice to me. He treated me like, I was a friend in his home. I don't think I've been to a restaurant where I was made to feel this way! Therefore, I highly recommend this restaurant not just for the service but for the great tasting food.

Yelp
The restaurant is so cute, the vibes of authenticity hits you the second that you walk through their front door. It is owned and operated by a true Italian family that instantly invites you in their "home" and welcomes you as part of their family!! The gentleman that served us is the son named Tony. He was so authentic and sweet (like every one of his family members) Okay now let's get to the nitty gritty and talk about how freaking amazing and authentic the food is!!! We had the calamari, house salad with the tomato based house dressing, fresh baked croissant, and the chicken parmigiana with a side of spaghetti and ended it with their tiramisu, not a thing that we ate was pre frozen or premade!! If I could give more stars I absolutely would!! This I can honestly say is our new "go to" Italian place!! I kind of do this review with reluctance because if people discover what a gem that this place is I worry that it will get too packed!! lol definitely check them out!!! But save room for me!!

Yelp
The food is full of flavor! Their dishes are amazingly delicious! I'm not sure what's in the sauce but I enjoyed dipping my bread in it. You've got to try the desserts. Our server was sweet, courteous, professional & extremely attentive! The atmosphere is welcoming & cozy! I will definitely be going back to try another Italian dish

Yelp
Glad we made reservations on a Saturday night. This place gets busy very quickly! We were greeted right away and the staff was very friendly! The ambiance is relaxed and welcoming! The staff checked on us regularly and they were very genuine! Felt like you were part of the family. This was my first time visiting a restaurant that allows you to bring your own bottle and I will say it was nice to do. We started with stuffed mushrooms and garlic bread, both tasty. They do provide complimentary bread, but you must try their garlic bread. I had the baked ziti with Italian sausage and it was delicious. The shrimp fradiablo was my favorite. The sauce was thick and creamy and the right amount of spice. We did choose a side salad with their tomato vinaigrette and it was really good. The tiramisu along with the coffee was a perfect end to our delicious meal!!!! I also loved that they did not overdo it with the chocolate sauce. I cannot wait to visit again and try another dish!

Yelp
The food here is absolutely delicious. So glad we found this place. The server and the owner were very kind and accommodating. They were able to heavily customize every dish to our liking. The seafood with white clam sauce, the carbonara, stuffed mushrooms, and pink sauce chicken linguine was great, nothing was left over. The tiramisu was absolutely fantastic as well. Definitely coming back here and I highly recommend a visit if you're in the area.

Yelp
Just finished dinner: really good chicken fettuccine, tender flavorful chicken piccata and garlic bread (buttery and crunchy). The service was so good - our server had a delightful Italian accent - and there was a steady stream of patrons and take out orders. We picked Giovanni's based on reviews. We were meeting someone for dinner and this had the best reviews close to the hotel. If we lived closer, we would be "regulars" - like many of the other patrons around our table. It was not too loud, but was comfortable with a relaxed atmosphere.

Yelp
Dino took amazing care of us at our first time at Giovanni's. What the restaurant lacks in decor, it more than makes up for it in the food. We ordered the spaghetti with sausage and the chicken primavera. The marinara sauce is a classic flavor and meets all expectations. Adding cream to the Primavera was a first for us, but Dino mentioned it is more of a vodka sauce. Personally, I would have liked a standard lighter marinara with it, but the dish was still great. We also noticed they have a drive through option, which could get very dangerous for us!

Yelp
Really good food. Good service and Welcoming atmosphere The salmon with lobster sauce is top notch!

Yelp
Decided to try this truly Mom & Pop Italian place. "Momma" seated us and gave us our menus. The food here is terrific! I had the Veal Parmigiana and my wife had Chicken Parmigiana with penne pasta. Both dishes were delicious and huge. Plenty left over for another meal. We also tried their calamari. It was yummy and "rings" only! We will be back again.

Yelp
I have to agree with our fellow Yelpers, Giovanni's is a great pick for a great meal! I was mostly impressed by the friendliness and the hospitality this family extends to its patrons. I was greeted with a big welcome and a big smile as I first walked in. I sat and waited for my friends to arrive and watched as they greeted all of their guests in a most personal way. I ordered the Tour of ITALY special and shared it with my friend. We enjoyed every bit of it, but I mostly loved the fettuccine Alfredo. His sauce is to die for! The bread was rich and the pasta cooked perfectly. The service was good, and the Tiramisu was made to perfection! Also, they allow BYOB, which saved us a lot of $ for sure!

Katie H.

Yelp
Food is YUM every time the family and I come here to eat. Our friends introduced us here and now we are introducing our friends here as well. Became a quick favorite! Thanks Giovanni's Italian and Artie and Julie!

Scarlett G.

Yelp
YES YES YES YES!!!! My family and I just found out about this restaurant not too long ago & have had it 3xs each time is a HIT! The flavor is authentic, best Alfredo ever!! The wait time can sometimes range depending on the day but it is worth it. Also try their Tiramisu!

Yelp
This was the worst experience I have ever had at an italian restaurant. There food is extremely over priced and the taste was terrible. I never leave comments like this. But anyone that is looking for good italian food, don't ever try this place. I can not express that enough to never go here.
google avatar

Yelp
Well priced good food, amazing welcoming staff. Service was prompt and friendly. The kind of down to earth Italian atmosphere that puts you at ease.

Yelp
My wife and I were in the neighborhood and decided to give Giovanni's a try. I figured the number of cars in the parking lot were a promising indicator of the food quality. While the restaurant décor is a bit dated, the serving sizes are definitely generous and comforting. I love the feel of this family restaurant. Everyone who waited on us was so welcoming, warm, and helpful. My wife and I felt like we'd been invited to dinner with friends. The staff was so attentive to us and were pleased to learn we were first timers, despite how busy they were on the floor. My wife had the Chicken Parmigiana and the Ziti Bolognese. We ate till we were stuffed and still had plenty of delicious left overs. My wife and I look forward to eating our way through Giovanni's menu. Keep up the great work, y'all!

Yelp
Looking for a nice pasta fix before the Cowtown marathon this was a great place to stop. Based on the reviews we decided to check out Giovanni's for a nice pasta fix. Once we opened the door, it was like walking into grandma's Italian kitchen. The smell was wonderful. We were pleasantly greeted and quickly seated. It became really apparent that we were perhaps the only customers in the restaurant that the owners did not know by name. The menu is very traditional and covers all the basics. The takeout business was brisk and we noticed at this location also does catering. Our server was super sweet and made some recommendations that were just wonderful. Their salads were crisp and fresh, the bread, warm, and crisp out of the oven with dipping oil was just to die for. Our pastas were wonderful, and the desserts that we took home with us were just fantastic. The restaurant itself is not fancy, and having been open for decades, probably shows signs of its age. Do not let the simplicity of the building or the condition of the parking lot have you overlook a fantastic Italian meal at unbelievably reasonable prices.

Yelp
Needed a quick carb up for a race the next day and Giovanni's delivered one of the best fettuccine alfredo dishes I've ever had. You can taste the homemade quality! Sauce was buttery and creamy! Noodles were perfect! I'll be back one day! Definitely recommend. Staff was also nice and friendly! You can tell it was a popular place for the locals.

Yelp
I went for a dinner date on a random Sunday and I was very surprised to find this restaurant so empty. The food was amazing and our waiter was very friendly and funny. He even gave us bread when we didn't order it! This is definitely a hidden gem
google avatar

Yelp
All I can say this is the best and most authentic Italian food I've had here in the states, hands down! The service was amazing, owner greeted us as soon as we walked in and food was cooked to perfection. I had their supreme pizza and my husband had their shrimp alfredo pasta which was absolutely delicious. I tried coming back today ( Monday) from the San Antonio area and was disappointed to know they are closed on Mondays. We'll be back

Eriq V.

Yelp
This was my first time having dinner here and I'll tell you that it did not disappoint ! As soon as we walked in we were greeted by the owner and welcomed in such a warming fashion! The dining area was very clean and had more than enough space. Now the food was absolutely fantastic. I've had Italian food many times before and you can tell that it was prepared beautifully ! The taste was out of this world best that I have had in a very long time. If you are in the area or even traveling like we were and want to have an amazing meal come to Giovanni's ! Thank you guys for such a wonderful experience!
google avatar

Grecia D.

Yelp
This place has the best pasta I have EVER had! The staff is incredibly kind. I got the alfredo and a slice of their tiramisu, both were amazing. I will definitely be coming back!
google avatar

Yelp
Food was ok. The linguini with red clam sauce was fair (only 4 clams). Service was good. Ambiance needs an upgrade. Will not return.

Yelp
Delicious food at affordable prices. My significant other and I celebrated our anniversary here and we were not disappointed! I had the lasagna and he had the chicken Parmesan. We will definitely be back!!!

Yelp
My wife and I took my daughter to Giovanni's Italian Kitchen for my daughter's birthday, last Sunday. Since it was Sunday, we spent a few minutes on Yelp* looking for a place to go eat. After seeing the higher star rating, my daughter settled on Giovanni's. Arriving to the restaurant, the first thing that we noticed was that the business is situated in a relatively older building, possibly an old pizza place. Anyhoo.... Entering the restaurant, we wondered if we should seat ourselves or wait to be seated, since there was no signage. We also noticed how dimly lit the restaurant is and that there is a slight musty odor in the air. Again, older building... we were NOT dissuaded!! Given the Yelp* ratings and reviews, we knew we would not be disappointed! Our Server was Jacob; a colorful, lively and likable character who made us feel very welcome and very comfortable. Jacob really gave us an "old friend" kind of vibe, which was cool and made us want to come back, even before we had our meal. Giovanni's seems like the kind of place that has a ton of "regulars." For our food orders: I had the Pasta Trio (Lasagna, Ziti. and Manicotti) that I ordered with extra cheese and well done. My wife had the Fettuccini Alfredo with Chicken. My daughter had the Eggplant Parmesan. As appetizers, we ordered the House-made Cheese Sticks and the Garlic Bread. We all thoroughly enjoyed our food! The unequivocal star of the meal was the Alfredo Sauce!! Suggestion to the Business Owner: Bottle it! Sell it! That stuff is YUM!!! My wife who loves Alfredo Sauce said it was the best she has ever tasted. I sampled a few bites from my wife's plate and I was convinced that, should I ever make it back to Giovanni's, Ima having Alfredo Sauce with ANYTHING!! Somehow my daughter ended up with my "extra cheese" on her eggplant and I was left wanting more cheese in my dish. No worries though, since it wasn't even realized until after dinner when we were conversing about our respective meals and my daughter exclaimed about her meal, "It was good, but there was quite a bit more cheese than I would have liked!" Me: :/ ...We all had a good laugh and called it No Foul, because the food really was delicious! We skipped dessert, because we were quite full and had a birthday pie to dig into once back at my daughter's place. Despite our first impressions, we all were very pleased with every aspect of our dining experience at Giovanni's. We all said we would enjoy eating at the restaurant again in the future. If you're debating giving Giovanni's a try, the answer should be a resounding YES! Eat well. Be well. Cheers!

Kelsey J.

Yelp
This Italian restaurant has become mine and my husbands all time favorite, we have tried four different meals so far and everytime the food is yummy! We've been when it was busy and not so busy but the service is the same everytime. We've never been disappointed. Definitely worth going!
google avatar

Kimberly W.

Yelp
Solid Italian spot on the Southside of Fort Worth. They are byob, which is good if you're into that. Their bread is homemade and excellent. Their prices are reasonable. They are kinda small, so not really good for large groups, in my opinion. The service is friendly and fast. I'm sure I'll be back.
google avatar

Paetra L.

Yelp
I did get Giovanni's delivered often. I don't really lie their red sauce, but I am quite picky about red sauce. It does have an odd taste to me though. Their Alfredo sauce is sweet to me. Their pizza is good for an Italian restaurant though. and they do offer many options. It use to be a pizza inn and the inside has not changed a lot so you can get an idea of what the ambience is like. If you go there the service is good if you call don't expect too much if they are busy I have been hung up on several times. I have also had my orders canceled when I have called in orders through Grubhub from them. That was the last time I ordered from them
google avatar

Kelli L.

Yelp
We had the chicken Alfredo, spaghetti with meatballs, cheese, sticks, and cheese pizza. Everything was delicious. The pizza was amazing!!! I'm not a pizza person so that is saying a lot! We will definitely be going back.
google avatar

Liz L.

Yelp
The food, service and people were amazing ! You'll love the specials or anything off the menu. I ordered the manicotti and shrimp friablo. Our group finished with canolis bc you have too!
google avatar

Graysen C.

Yelp
Love the food from Giovanni's on Crowley Rd. The service is quick. The atmosphere is relaxed. You will feel right at home. Bathrooms are clean & wonderful! Please try any of their dishes. I highly recommend the eggplant parmigiana and chicken parmigiana - love & kisses, Chris' daughter

Yelp
Update I just went again and WOW!!! Their bread is perfectly warm, buttery, and crispy. Their service is so kind and attentive! The food here is so authentic and delicious! They had so many options and WOW IS THEIR TIRAMISU GOOD!!! So different than the usual tiramisu and so much better! Absolutely love the linguine with red clam sauce and everything!

Yelp
Great place, yummy food. Nice little restaurant, looks like old place, bread is yummy

Vivian N.

Yelp
Stumbled upon this place with my boyfriend and I'm so glad we did! Really good portions and lasagna was so good. Boyfriend really enjoyed the seafood in his dish. Also, got the tiramisu not pictured but It was delicious as well. Service was 10/10 with such a friendly server. Would come back again! :)

Donna N.

Yelp
Amazing food!! I highly recommend Giovanni's!! I've only done take out here but would feel comfortable eating in the restaurant as well. Excellent staff!

Yelp
It's obvious the dim lighting, tinted windows and location may be hiding some of the best flavors in Fort Worth! I'd rode past Giovanni's numerous times often saying I'm going to try it! And let's just say I'm disappointed it took me this long to wet my palette. Definitely a lowkey spot, Giovanni's sits on Crowley Rd. a main street on the south side of town. Family owned down home style cooking evident in the flavors. After scanning the menu for about 15 mins, I settled on Tortellini, however I tried it bolognese style (Tortellini Bolognese, the now Aaron special lol). Cooked to perfection the tortellini bolognese was some of the best Italian I've had. Portion wise after eating, I still had half the bowl to take home. Bang for you buck, great food, very chill dining environment.. & more importantly it's mom/pop style .. the owner came by to greet me! If you're carb loading for a pre-race meal or just in the mood for some down home Italian.. you should definitely give Giovanni's a try. I'll be back for round 2 soon!
google avatar

Mary H.

Yelp
Food OK but for the price & atmosphere I think I'd try somewhere else. Chairs kinda oldish. In fact my sister's chair had to be swapped as it was damaged.
google avatar

William Joseph G.

Yelp
Really good eggplant parmigiana and great deserts. Very friendly service. They have been in business for a long time, first in the Historic Stockyards, then on Crowley Road on the Southside. Very convenient location only blocks south of I 20.

Suzanne H.

Yelp
Old school manners was very refreshing! the red sauce is perfectly seasoned and the pastas are tender. excellent prices. cannot wait to try more dishes!

Terrence H.

Yelp
The ambiance was great, family oriented. The food was authentic Italian food with a remarkable price. The service was outstanding. This little gem is a must go to place that will have you going back for more.

Gina A.

Yelp
So so so good!! Delicious food! Dino treated us like birthday queens! Very quaint ambiance.

Tony R.

Yelp
Great homemade food with a family feel. One of the best pizza places in Fort Worth !!!!

Roxanne C.

Yelp
Food was amazing service was great the couple were super sweet and friendly prices are pretty good for italian we luckily went when there was not too many people we had just got there as people just finished their meals so it wasn't long to get a table we were sat immediately. Food quality was great definitely fresh. Ambiance was unique the building looks like a old whataburger but they have tv's with the game in so it is a comfortable environment
google avatar

Chris R.

Yelp
This is one of those spots where if you know, you know! Totally underrated, classic Italian-American fare, ran by a literal mom and pop. It punches way above its weight and delivers excellent value for the money! I live within eyesight of one of Fort Worth's incredibly popular Italian eateries with a strikingly similar menu. However, when I want a great pasta dish I'll drive right by that overpriced place and head to Giovanni's. The restaurant isn't what you'd call elegant but they do a solid job of creating the best ambiance possible in an old, renovated What-A-Burger. Not a place to pop the question but this same food could be served in a much nicer venue in Sundance Square and patrons would gladly pay three times the price. If you're anything like me, it's the food that counts! It's also not located in one of the city's 'darling' neighborhoods so get over it and get yourself a great meal.

Amber T.

Yelp
OMG PHENOMENAL! Seriously the best Italian food we have ever had. Stopped here on a whim driving home from Arlington and definitely will be back. The whole family raved about their food and the Alfredo sauce was out of this world!
