Girafe Review - 16th Arr. - Paris - The Infatuation

"Girafe is a seafood restaurant overlooking Place du Trocadéro that’s designed to make you feel like a member of the haute société, with Eiffel Tower views and a chic cream-colored terrace. You’ll find the requisite raw bar and tasting platters full of things like shrimp, lobster, and crab claws, plus large plates of variously prepared fishes and meats. There’s also lots of caviar and champagne by the glass and bottle—fancy things to enhance the experience of gazing at one of the city’s great icons. " - Team Infatuation

One of my Paris trip highlight 🫰🏻 Location was impeccable, right next to the Eiffel tower with awesome view. We were having lunch at the higher floor balcony. Weather was nice, service was nice, waiter was all smiles, food was nice. The view is the total winner 🏆 Book your table in advance is the best way to go.

Google
This was hands-down my favorite lunch spot during our entire trip to Paris. Girafe absolutely lives up to the hype—but you must have a reservation. It’s popular for a reason. I had the cod with clams, and my daughter ordered the truffle linguine—both were showstoppers and easily our favorite dishes of the whole vacation. The flavors were refined but still comforting, and the presentation was stunning. What really stood out (besides the food and view) was the service. In a city where service can sometimes feel rushed or chilly, our waiter was genuinely kind and attentive, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. And then there’s the view. Sitting on the terrace with the Eiffel Tower in full display felt surreal—like a scene from a dream. Elegant, scenic, and unforgettable. ✨ Highly recommend for a special meal in Paris. Book ahead, go hungry, and savor every bite.

Google
Given this latest visit was our third time at La Suite Girafe I felt compelled to note how amazing this place is! This has to be one of the best sun-soaked terraces in Paris, with an exceptional view of the Eiffel Tower, but that’s just the beginning of the experience given the delicious food, and flawless service. We came here for a lunch first in 2023, then returned for a fabulous night of 14 July, and had an incredible experience which is etched into our memories, and we returned again this year for a lunch, which was exquisite, as usual.

Google
The fish was fresh and tasty, and the view of the Eiffel Tower made the whole experience even better. We went around 7:30–8 PM, and by the time we ordered dessert, we got to see the Eiffel Tower sparkle, which was amazing. Overall a great experience with solid food and a memorable vibe.

Google
This restaurant definitely deserves more recognition. Atmosphere is 10/10 no doubt and the Eiffel Tower view is beautiful. The food was amazing I definitely recommend the sea bass fish its sauce was just perfect. Side dishes mashed potato and the spinach salad were delicious. We weren’t sure what to order so we asked for recommendations and our waiter definitely recommended the best. The restaurant is a seafood restaurant if you not sure what to order ask first and you will not be disappointed.

Google
An Unforgettable Lunch Experience at La Suite Girafe I’m from Houston, visiting Paris with my husband and son, and our afternoon at La Suite Girafe was simply unforgettable. My son brought us here, and from the moment we stepped in, I was in awe. This more private offshoot of Girafe offers an elevated experience in every sense. The atmosphere is elegant and intimate, the service was flawless, and every course—from appetizers to dessert—was thoughtfully prepared and absolutely delicious. What truly took my breath away was the view: the Eiffel Tower on one side, Napoleon’s tomb on the other, and the sparkling city of Paris stretching out in every direction from the rooftop. It felt like a scene from a dream. This is more than just a restaurant—it’s a Parisian experience. Truly five stars!

Google
A perfect restaurant for the perfect night. The food was perfect and beyond. The view overlooking the city and in sight of the Effiel Tower was and is amazing. The service was great and the ambiance was spectacular. Everything about this restaurant screams 5 stars. I've had dinner there on two separate occasions and it only gets better. Absolutely stunning.

Google
The food was good but didn’t knock my socks off. The reason to go here is the amazing view of the Eiffel Tower while you are having dinner. The service and atmosphere were very good as well. When it came to the food the raw bar was excellent but the mains that we ordered were just fine. It felt like the cod that I ordered had been sitting under a heat lamp or something like that for quite some time as the top of the fish had a hard film on it by the time it made it to the table. Again, I would go again for the incredible atmosphere but food on this occasion was not what I expected.

Yelp
We met up with some friends who decided to make a reservation here. Fancy place with a nice view of the Eifel Tower. (As you can see in the pic, the view was spectacular!) Our staff was helpful with the menu. He was fluent in English which is a plus. I picked the lamb and Hubby had the fish (whole) that he shared with a friend and it was delicious! The staff was highly knowledgeable about the dishes and how it's prepared. Very attentive and overall professional, excellent service!

Yelp
3.5 stars It was so hard to get a reservation here but you must make one. Pro-tip: the reservations open exactly 1 week earlier so make sure you set a reminder on your phone. Of course we had to get the lobster pasta. The food itself was actually one of the best in Paris that we had. We came here for the view and it didn't disappoint. Most of the people here were tourists just like us. And you know what that means.... this was the first and only restaurant in Paris that asked for a tip at the end. The server will make you feel as if you should tip them, which we didn't like. It was good to try once though!

Yelp
This place was amazing. Not often do you find a restaurant close to a prime tourist location (aka Eiffel Tower) which has amazing food. This was it. It was it!!! Reminded me a lot of the NED in London. Amazing. So fancy. I didn't have a reservation but the hostess was so nice and got us bar seating. Same thing. Same view. Same good. The outside was closed during the winter so we didn't see the view of Eiffel Tower but the food was absolutely amazing. We hard the octopus and the truffle pasta. Soooooooo good and balanced and fresh. And my dirty martini was great too!!! I will def be coming back here when back to Paris!!!

Yelp
One of my most favorite restaurants in all of Paris. Sure it's super touristy, a little overpriced, but the view of the Eiffel Tower can't be beat. The food is pretty good, I'm not a huge fan of French food, but the food is decent. I've never had anything I've disliked but nothing that has wow'ed me either, but it's Paris, I'm not here for the food. We throughly enjoyed seeing the Eiffel Tower sparkle every hour. This is must if you're visiting Paris
google avatar

Yelp
I was lucky enough to be able to come here as part of a special collaboration with Chase Sapphire Reserve during the Olympics. To start, you're paying for the view, but what a view it is. You look out and see the Eiffel Tower lording over Paris. The food itself is very good but also pretty expensive. For a starter, we had the yellowtail sashimi and it was the best part of the meal. I don't normally like sushi or sashimi but I would've been happy with that as a main. For the main, I got the steak which, while incredibly delicious, was a small portion for the €60 I paid. Either way, I really enjoyed my experience at Girafe.
google avatar

Bijal R.

Yelp
A bit difficult to get into Girafe, they don't usually answer their calls or respond to emails or DMs, however hotels or associates can help you get the in. Girafe was beautiful, some of the best views of the effiel tower. Service was a bit slow however food was amazing. We ordered a bottle of champagne which was paired toast and some sort of delicious fish paste. For apps we started with Salmon Bellini which was incredibly fresh. With a creme fresh spread on a Bellini. For dinner we ordered the truffle linguine which was absolutely amazing. The octopus was perfectly cooked as well.

Yelp
Everything about the experience while here was great (so keep reading), however, they are totally unresponsive with reservation requests, hence why I put 4 star instead of 5. Luckily, I made it early enough so we got the reservation, but I never received a confirmation email so I wasn't even sure we got the reservation. I emailed them about 4 times to ask if my reservation was confirmed and finally got one response after the 5th email and literally the day before my reservation. I live in the US, so I didn't call and was just relying on email. Despite the lack of communication, the experience being there was amazing! I loved everything about this place. Saw it on instagram and had to book it for my party of 6. We did the night time seating at 10pm so that we could see the the Eiffel tower sparkle at 11pm. We had an amazing seat with great views, great food, and awesome service and ambiance. Our waiter was also funny and attentive. We were here until about 1am!! I ordered the CÔTE DE BŒUF SIMMENTAL, POMMES GRENAILLE POUR 2 (SIMMENTAL PRIME BEEF, BABY POTATOES FOR 2 POUR 2 / FOR 2) and shared it with the table along with a side of the truffle linguini. I can never have too much truffle because I don't like mushroom, but I figured when in France, i'll try it... and it was to die for. I still think about it and wish that I got that as my main dish. Writing this review makes me want to go back and go get some right now. GREAT VIBES!!

Yelp
Picture perfect atmosphere, delicious food and impeccable service. We enjoyed our time at Girafe so much but the real showstopper is the sparkling Eiffel Tower directly in front of us. No matter where you sit there's a front row view. Make sure you take the 10pm seating to get the full experience. You will not regret it!!

Yelp
We went to La suite at the top of the building that over looks the Eiffel Tower and had a great time.! They had the traditional caviar and most important the cocktails were great. The food and service were great as well. For what it is we thought it just fine and the view at night was amazing.

Yelp
Amazing! I recommend if you are in Paris! Service was great and food was delicious! When in Paris I will try and go back for sure!

Yelp
I won't lie, the views and atmosphere at Girafe are great! If it's your first time in Paris, this is a nice place to visit for an upscale dinner. The majority of diners were tourists. Thankfully, all of the hosts and waiters spoke English. A reservation is definitely required, so book far in advance. There are various seating times each night. We came right before sunset. Since everyone at the restaurant is seated at the same time, service is hectic. Our waiter was balancing several tables, so we had to flag him down for every request. As for food, the truffle linguine tasted good but was a little dry. The bar was very slow at delivering drinks. I recommend the espresso martini or aperol spritz. TIP: Bread is complimentary, but you have to request it. Ask for butter, balsamic, and oil on the side. A service fee was not included in our bill, so the waiter asked us for a tip. Since he knew we were American, he suggested a 20% tip. We left 10% and the waiter was happy. A 5-10% tip is customary in Paris, so don't fall for that scam.

Yelp
Wow! So I really thought this would be a tourist trap, and people just went here for the views of the Eiffel Tower, but I was so mistaken! The online reviews weren't that stellar either, so I wasn't sure what to expect. I got the octopus dish and it was amazing! There was some purée under the octopus and it just set the dish off. I could eat that every week. I also got the truffle pasta and that was also so delicious. My friends loved their dishes as well, the lobster pasta and the scallops dish. I think the steak was the only thing that was just so-so. The service was good too. Nothing that stood out as outstanding, but they were good. Yes go here for the views, but definitely get the truffle pasta and the octopus!

Yelp
My Experience at Giraffe was one level below excellent. From the host to to the servers was really amazing, I rate it a 9/10. The Staff were very nice and helped out with a lot of recommendations. The Food was very good and tasted very fresh and filled with tenderness and various flavors during each bite. Lastly Ambiance was very nice having the view of the Eiffel Tower especially lighting up was a plus to the experience. The only reason why it's not a 10/10 is because when I was paying for the bill I seen two mice running around the table next to me. Which everyone seem to treat it like its normal. So I give this restaurant a 8/10.

Tonya P.

Yelp
Here's the run down. Make your reservation online from the website. Plan your dinner at 9p or 10p, for the gorgeous sparkly view of the Eiffel Tower. The tower lights up every hour! When booking, be sure to book La Suite. Did you read that, make your reservation for La Suite or you will be stuck sitting inside. If tourist spot was in the dictionary, it would be Girafe, it is stupid expensive, but drinking Champagne, with this magical view is worth it and service is very American! They are all friendly with smiles and hellos. Highly recommend on a Paris visit.

Yelp
The best-kept secret in Paris! Located on the 9th floor of the Cité de l'Architecture and Heritage Centre, "La Suite Girafe" or LSG for those who know it well, is the former flat of the curator who had a private terrace with a panoramic view of the whole of Paris in the 1930s. It now has 100 seats and is open for lunch and dinner. Not to mention perfect views of the Eiffel Tower. In terms of cuisine, as in the case of its parent company, the emphasis is on iodine, with ever more refined dishes that give pride of place to the products. Like a Parisian seahouse , LSG offers a contemporary marine cuisine with seafood, raw and cooked fish in all their forms. A true Parisian setting in the codes of Art Deco architecture signed Joseph Dirand. Reservation highly recommended. Cheers

Yelp
I had high hopes for this restaurant given its charming location in Paris, but my visit was a complete letdown (for the second time). The highlight of the evening, a Martini cocktail, arrived half-filled, which was both unappetizing and disappointing. I understand that presentation matters, but this felt like a blatant disregard for quality. To make matters worse, the waiter, manager, and bartender were shockingly rude. Instead of addressing our concerns about the drink, one rolled his eyes and made snide comments, leaving me feeling unwelcome and frustrated. Additionally, from the inception of our seating our waiter urged us to order food after we explained we weren't too hungry. A one thousand dollar bill later, we were happy to be done. Dining out should be an enjoyable experience, but this place managed to ruin what should have been a lovely evening. I won't be returning and can't recommend it to anyone looking for good service or a decent drink. Save your money and go elsewhere!

Yelp
I had an incredible dinner at Girafe, thanks to Farrah, Rinad and Giulianno. Delicious cocktail called the "Louvre" with Mezcal for that smoky taste. The sea bass was so delicious and of course I had to try the Chocolate Hazelnut Tarte. Not to mention the incredible view. Unique and beautiful dining experience!
google avatar

Racquel S.

Yelp
Let me start with the good. The truffle pasta was really good and so was my shirley temple (the only mocktail worth getting anywhere). The server was great. The issue here is the blonde girl at the hostess stand and the manager. The hostess insisted I didn't have a reservation, was rude and dismissive. When I pulled out my email confirmation she insisted the confirmation didn't go through. Escalated to manager. He found me a cozy spot at the bar, and even he got the same treatment from the hostess when inquiring. He didn't apologize for the inconvenience either. In what world does that happen? Hostess needs to be re-trained on hospitality. Once I got to my seat, there was a couple who had the exact same issue as I did, but a different hostess actually made arrangements for them at a restaurant down the street. They wanted a proper experience so they took her up on it. It was my first night in Paris and I was tired, so I was fine at the bar because I didn't feel like finding another spot to dine at that evening. Also, they conveniently do not answer the phone if you try to confirm yourself as a double check the evening before. I know because I tried. I also noticed that myself and the other couple who had the issue had the same ethnic background, and I'll leave it at that for now. Overall, I wouldn't return. Lots of improvements needed on the hospitality front

Yelp
Location! You have an awesome view of the Eiffel Tower, dinner with an amazing view. Customer service was amazing too. I made reservations and was lucky enough to get them. Seated right away, decor, aesthetics were great! Food was just okay I wasn't that impressed. The chicken was good and the lobster pasta was a bit cold which I didn't understand we got there when they opened. They seat you close to others and the cigarette smell is overwhelming. But you're in Paris so it's common.

Yelp
Location & views - this is 100% what you are going here for and it is amazing. This was on our radar early in our trip planning process and reservations are both required and competitive. We ended up reaching out to our hotel concierge before our trip to ask if they'd be able to help and secured us a reservation at 10pm. I know - very late, but having a late lunch, a drink at our hotel bar and an Uber to watch the Eiffel Tower sparkle was worth it. Due to our late reservation, it wasn't super busy and we were able to be seated outside. As expected, other diners were also tourists and our staff, even though we opened with French, spoke English almost immediately. Service was quick and easy, but let down really came from the food. Nothing spectacular or flavorful here, in my opinion - I had the filet, my boyfriend ordered fish (believe catch of the day sort of offering), a side of mashed potatoes and green beans along with cocktails and wine. Some of the best meals of my life were had the two days before this in Paris.. **highlight of the night is the square directly outside / to the right of the restaurant looking at the tower. A lot of people sitting, enjoying the sparkling view while listening to live music in square TLDR: if you're looking for views & ambiance, book now. If you're in it for the food, I'd head elsewhere
google avatar

Rori J.

Yelp
I had the most amazing time at this restaurant. The service, our waiter, the view and ohhh my gosh, the food. So glad we made this our first dining experience in Paris. We had reservations for lunch and they couldn't be more accommodating. I honestly thought it was going to be one of those overhyped places that we just go to for the view, but they blew me away. The crab and avocado appetizer, the shrimp, the lobster pasta and the octopus, all spectacular. And that complimentary bread with smoked cod... delightful. Our waiter recommended a spritz for me which was perfect and even took pictures and videos of us. He was amazing. It's expensive but I would definitely go back. Loved it!
google avatar

Randal M.

Yelp
Was excited for this dinner, pics looked amazing on instagram, the views outstanding as well. Everything may have been better if it didn't rain. They stated since I was a late reservation they would put me at the bar!!! It was a 10pm reservation, we were starving. Very disappointed in that, receptionist and waiter stated the terrace was closed due to rain. It hadn't rained in 6 hrs. Staff was short. A lot of people were pissed and left. Sitting in the make shift bar area, there were dishes stacked next to us, the group that sat next to us were talking to the waiter and told the waiter they weren't eating because they didn't want to pay that much money without a view, waiters response was this is a restaurant, you come for food not a view. No pre-communication about terrace being closed or short staffing and or over promising seating. Over heard the manager saying they have 300 seats outside and 200 inside. They weren't really good at trouble shooting this, argued with costumers instead of offering later reservations, it took a few minutes for the manger to offer this. The prices are inflated for tourist, food quality is ok. Got a recommendation for the tuna appetizers, it was slices of tuna with burnt ponzu sauce, it was good but not worth the money comparing to food back in the states. The burrata salad was awesome. We almost ordered 2. The fish looked amazing but we just weren't feeling that and kinda put off by our experience Service wasn't great for the money you Pay for a meal, it may have been they were overwhelmed by last minute seating but for €€€€ you should be a bit more attentive to the folks you are servicing.

Yelp
I don't know why people have bashed this place. It is super popular. It is one of the best views of the Eiffel Tower. The food was delicious. We had a hard time securing a reservation for 8. We are a large family and wanted to give our kids a great goodbye meal. There were no spots for the evening, but we came for lunch. Service was excellent. The drinks were delicious. The Oysters and the lobster ravioli for appetizer were delicious. The lobster pasta was delicious. My husband and son shared the catch of the day. It was a large fish. They present it first and then fillet it for you. This is a definite must in Paris. Make note you must order an entree per person.

Michael M.

Yelp
All the reviews calling this a tourist trap and mention of terrible service are true. My gf and I were seated at the bar, which is fine but were told no more seats were available in the dining room. However, shortly after we saw other parties of 2 brought to the dining room. Based on how all others placed at the bar were American, I'm guessing there is somewhat of a nationalist bias. When I asked why we weren't given a table when others who came after were, the manager julien could not give a clear reason. Regardless of seating and bad management, the food was very mediocre and not at all worth the price. Please heed this warning and DO NOT waste your time or money here.

Yelp
located in the Trocadero across the Seine from the Tower. The food is top quality and well presented. The wine selection is very good. This is not a place to check menu prices. be prepared to spend. the views of the tower are unsurpassed. The service is excellent and what one would expect for a restaurant of this caliber.

Avarie P.

Yelp
If I could give this 0 stars I would. To preface, I was looking forward to going to Girafe for over 3 months. I even set an alarm on my phone when reservations were available and assumed it would be the highlight of my trip. I was horribly wrong. When we arrived, they sat us at a table without a view of the Eiffel Tower. I kindly asked to be moved to an empty table, and they said it was booked. There was never an option to book a specific table and they had several open seats. I found this ridiculous. After some back and forth, we got moved. We were pretty full from our lunch, so we ordered a bottle of wine and asked for 2 desserts. The waiter was extremely disrespectful and made us leave our table and go to the bar (with no windows to see the view). He claimed that we "have to eat dinner" and that we can't sit at our table if we don't- even if we order other items. I only had one glass of the bottle of wine at my table before he was packing things up to shove us into the bar. If you have a minimum, say that on your website. I was going to spend over $100 on the dinner. Absolutely horrible service. They need a reality check. SO DISAPPOINTING. If you want a good Parisian meal, go to Chez Janou.
google avatar

Tyler S.

Yelp
I think some of the bad reviews are fake. I bring clients here and dine with my Partner here frequently- in every season. If you are a tacky tourist who is only coming for the view just climb the tower. The view is a bonus. The restaurant is chic through and through. Sadly, Yelp reviews used to be reliable. It's become a forum for entitled low income earners Who think they are millionaire influencers.
google avatar

Lum C.

Yelp
For those who are planning to come duringbthe winter, please note that the terrace is closed during the Winter. You will not have the gorgeous view of the Eiffel Tower while dining here between the months of December - February. I made the mistake of coming here in January and was seated inside. That was disappointment #1. I ordered the seafood platter for 49 euros. That platter STANK! Disappointment #2. The oysters smelled rotten. The shrimp meat was mushy and also smelled rotten. I addressed it with the host and he would not remove and refund me eventhough I only ate 1 oyster from the platter. Beef was chewy and seabass was way over cooked.

Yelp
My fiancé and I were here wedding planning from California and I was so bummed when we got to Girafe and realized I completely mixed up the timing. We were initially told we could not be accommodated but then the hostess Phera was able to help us and sat us at a table with an amazing view. She was so kind and personable which really turned the experience around for us. I know this is a popular, busy restaurant so we are extremely thankful to her for helping make it happen as this is a place we've been wanting to try for years. 5 stars for Phera and the gorgeous views!

Yelp
Really lovely experience. We had a reservation for 7PM and arrived about 10 minutes early and there was already a massive line outside. After a bit of waiting, we finally got indoors got seated on the beautiful terrace. They opened right at 7 and everyone got seated at the same time, so our server was taking care of at least 5 tables and was noticeably busy. The service was slow in that sense, but we weren't in a rush! I ordered the grilled octopus, which was outstanding, one of the best octopus meals I've ever had. Overall, it was a great experience and it is pretty expensive, but you get one of the best Eiffel tower views in the city. We saw it sparkle and it was a great time!

Yelp
The food was amazing. This is one of the best restaurants we have been to in this area. Very nice view and knowledgeable staff. Highly recommended?
google avatar

James S.

Yelp
Impossible to get a reservation, but our concierge from Hotel Costes came through with great outdoor seating. We had a whole grilled sea bass to split, but I didn't take any pics ‍ I was too busy with my amazing craft cocktail(s)! This place is obviously popular for its view of the Eiffel Tower, but the quality of the food was just as nice. Very friendly staff and the pricing is on par with other fine dining in Paris
google avatar

Paul H.

Yelp
I think the restaurant gets a lot of hype because of the view, location and appearance which are all definitely worth the hype. If you're dropping by for a drink or for a meet up with friends then I definitely think it's worth it - the food on the other hand is definitely mediocre. It's typical for food here to be not as flavorful but given the hype I'd expected it to be a little better than all the other places!

Ava S.

Yelp
We had great service and the food was really good. I loved my salmon bowl and cocktail

Yelp
Very good experience, even though not the cheapest one. Unfortunately, we could not dine on terrace, as I was told. Nevertheless, worth it.

Yelp
I had my last meal in Paris at Suite Girafe. It was perhaps the best meal i've ever had. Zoe was phenomenal waitress and steered me in the right direction for my entree. Also the gluten free bread was phenomenal- we don't have GF bread like this in the US. So if in Paris please enjoy this amazing restaurant with views of the Eiffel Tower

Lisa M.

Yelp
This restaurant is absolutely beautiful! We booked in advance online and had no issue when we arrived. We did have a couple in front of me whose reservation could not be found. They were offered a seat at the bar, and that bar had limited seating. I don't think they'd accept walk ins. The service was good, but we were placed behind a hedge that limited the view of the Eiffel Tower. That wasn't ideal considering it was our 20th year wedding anniversary. Please be aware of that. Also be aware that it is very cold and there are no patio heaters! I kept my coat on the entire time. My husband ordered pasta which was okay. I ordered the sea bass and it was really good! I'd highly recommend that dish! The drinks were good but the service at the bar was a little slow. Overall the restaurant is a good and solid choice- just be prepared.

Yelp
Really hard to get a reservation, food is pretty good, but the vibes are immaculate! 10/10 view

Yelp
The view was amazing. The food was good, but they do require each person order an entree

Yelp
We made reservations and our card was held immediately. They'll charge 50 euros for cancellation for each person. We went for the experience of having a romantic dinner with an Eiffel Tower view. However, we were seated at the back of the bar by the entrance of the kitchen. The hostess was extremely rude and told us that a reservation only held us a place in the restaurant. We literally watched a chef cut up fish all night. The food portion was extremely small and not satisfying at all. The food was mediocre and the smell of fish was disgraceful. I would not waste my money by going to this establishment. You should go to the location to take gorgeous photos of the Tower.

Yelp
Best dinner we had in Paris. Great view of the Eiffel Tower . Service is fantastic. We will definitely go back the next time we are in Paris. Reservations are a must!

Yelp
We came to Paris for a 4-day trip, and on the first day, we made a reservation at Paris Griafe, a restaurant famous for its Eiffel Tower view. Yesterday, we went to Paris Griafe expecting a beautiful view of the Eiffel Tower, but we couldn't see any view at all. The first thing I checked when making the reservation was the Eiffel view, and everywhere it was advertised as having the best view of the Eiffel Tower. However, the balcony and outdoor seating area were closed, and the Eiffel Tower could only be seen from a small corner of the balcony. We were seated in the worst spot, and we couldn't see the view at all. I asked to change seats, but the staff's attitude was incredibly rude. There was no information provided when booking that the outdoor area would be closed or that the view would be so limited in the evening, which was very misleading. Anyway, we ate our meal and returned to our hotel. In the early hours of the morning, my husband woke up with severe pain, vomiting, and diarrhea. He vomited for hours. I didn't have any symptoms, but my husband ate raw shrimp, which I hadn't. He got food poisoning from the raw shrimp. It's now 7 AM, and we haven't slept since 4 AM. We will most likely have to cancel our plans for today. Thanks to this restaurant, our vacation was ruined on the very first day.

Yelp
Tourist trap. Avoid From the guy with a beard who seats you (I wish I got his name) to the poor service. Most of the tables don't have views. Below avg food. Just horrible experience. Tourist only! Paris has so many good places, don't waste your time there. You can't pay me to go there again.

Yelp
A tourist trap, I made a reservation for outside and we were told we had to sit inside. The food was bland and we were told we HAD TO order at least four entrees. I strongly recommend to go else where and enjoy the views of the Eiffel Tower from the plaza.

Yelp
Unfortunately it rained before our meal so we weren't able to sit outside and enjoy the view. I'd say without that, the restaurant was just alright. The ambiance inside is still lovely but the food is overpriced and not particularly memorable.

Yelp
Let me just say... make a reservation! Okay so we arrived when the restaurant opens at 7PM. We ask if we can wait until there's a cancellation and the hostess said yes. We waited for 25 minutes and I went to check w/ the hostess and they said someone was a no show so we were able to have dinner!! The hostesses | chefs | waiter were knowledgeable of the food and very friendly. FOOD: ARTICHOKE SALAD!! Omg was full of citrus, fresh, crunch, & healthy vibes!! The steak was a little over cooked because I asked for medium but taste more over cooked. The Sea-bass fish was very large & full of meat! (be aware has bones) The smashed potatoes CREAMY!! Definitely will come back!

Yelp
Do not go to girafe if you want to eat in peace with a relaxed mind. The girl who checks people in is just something else, she is super rude with a horrible attitude. It is really surprising how she still works in such a popular restaurant in Paris. She was literally rude to every single person who was checking in in front of us. Every other group in front of us left right before we gave up and left too. They are really not clear regarding the location of your table inside or outside when you make a reservation which is absolutely fine, but god help you if you just ask the girl at the front. She will eat you in a bite. We are visiting from US and booked the restaurant in advance since we were so excited for the experience but we were just left with so much disappointment right off the bat. I don't think I had ever experienced anything like this at any other restaurant ever in my life. Respect for their client should be their priority and unfortunately that's not the case at this restaurant.

Yelp
We dined here last night. I went with the waiter's recommendations which were choices I would have made. It was the best octopus that I've had in my life. Very well balanced and flavorful, perfectly cooked. We sat outside and enjoyed a lovely view of the Eiffel Tower. It was a pretty chilly though. As we started dessert, we realized that there were heaters above which we asked to have turned on. It would have to been nice if that was offered as we sat but I won't knock them for that. It was a special experience for all in my party. Our waiter, Quentin was exceptional and took great care in guiding us through the menu. Though to get reservations but if you can get them, go! I didn't have an option to choose outdoor seating, perhaps it is first come first serve. I do recommend sitting outside if you're given the chance.

Yelp
We came for my daughter's birthday dinner. My husband and I asked 4 times for well done steak. Steak came out bloody. We sent it back. Waiter asked if we need anything else and we declined. Because we had ordered so many other dishes we didn't need to remake the steak. He charged us for the steak anyway which is fine. We didn't complain. He brought the check and tossed it on our table. My kids asked for desert and he turned to me and he said I will not bring you desert because your husband is rude. My kids were afraid and started crying. Ruined my daughter's 16th birthday. We didn't even complain we kindly asked to send the steak back because it was bloody.
