NYC’s New Restaurant Openings - New York - The Infatuation

"From the owners of nearby Cafe D’Anvers, Girasole in East Harlem opened earlier this year, absorbing the staff from a nearby Italian restaurant that was shutting down. Along with fake sunflowers and plenty of pastas, Girasole offers a few good summery deals, like $9 Aperol spritzes, $18 for a martini and fries, and a dozen oysters plus a bottle of wine for $55." - will hartman, willa moore, molly fitzpatrick, sonal shah, bryan kim

The 10 Best Restaurants In Atlantic City - Atlantic City - The Infatuation

"This Italian restaurant is neither an old-school red sauce joint nor a sceney pasta spot. Instead, it’s just the right amount of camp, with Ferrari memorabilia scattered throughout the space, waiters running around sipping espresso in pinstripe smoking jackets, and a giant white brick oven in the dining room. The food is also excellent, including the basket of warm complimentary bread and olive oil you’ll get when you sit down. The salt-baked branzino that’s cracked open tableside might seem like they’re going for unnecessary drama, but it’s actually perfectly moist and a must-order." - anne cruz

We walked into the restaurant on 4th of July thinking it was gonna be packed, the place was almost empty and we decided to stay, minutes later people started coming in. The service was courteous and polite. The highlight of this restaurant is obviously is the food although i would suggest others to check in the drinks and cocktails menu. I really loved the music that was played. Definitely worth the visit. Highly recommended!!!.

The service was great, the team and staff were super friendly and sweet. The food itself -- we got the penne vodka and pesto fettuccine. The pasta was handmade and very very good but the sauces both felt like they were missing something and the vodka sauce was more marinara-sh.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Hidden Gem You’ll Want to Keep All to Yourself! Girasole Trattoria is everything you dream of when you think of an authentic Italian dining experience — cozy, warm, and bursting with flavor. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted like family. The ambiance is charming and romantic, with soft lighting, rustic decor, and the gentle aroma of fresh herbs filling the air. Every dish is crafted with love — you can literally taste it. The pasta is handmade, the sauces are rich and balanced, and the wine selection is on point. I had the "Chicken Francese” and it was divine. Perfectly cooked, beautifully plated, and unforgettable. The staff? Absolutely wonderful — attentive, friendly, and passionate about what they do. If you’re looking for a place that feels like a little slice of Italy, this is it. Girasole Trattoria isn’t just a restaurant — it’s an experience. 10/10. Will be back (probably this week!)

Wanted to love it, but didn’t. Mediocre service. Mediocre food (my chicken parm was so tough it must have come from a steam table … and came out too quickly to have been made to order). Wife’s drink was tiny (mine was proper size). Left 1/2-3/4’s of our food on our plates and weren’t asked if there was a problem. Oh well.

Warm and friendly atmosphere. Delicious Arancini appetizer, chicken Milanese and Homemade pasta !! Tiramisu dessert was the best.

The place is great. I had the arancini with mushrooms and Chicken Francese. The chicken was so tangy, lemony and tender. It was perdition on a plate.

They have the ability to make you feel like family as soon as you walk in. The food is incredible, the drinks are superb, but the staff and the owners really just welcome you in. Highly recommend, and bring your family.
