Campo Restaurant Opens in Casa Faena in Miami Beach, FL | Eater Miami

"A new restaurant inside Casa Faena on Miami Beach, led by executive chef Antonio Maldonado (who grew up in Mexico), serves Latin-influenced American dishes using ingredients sourced from South Florida farms; the space was designed by Alan Faena himself. The dinner menu spans raw bar items, robata skewers, and sushi rolls, with an emphasis on sustainable proteins and seasonal vegetables. Highlights include an avocado salad topped with Ark Farm shishito peppers and green papaya; a wild mushroom tlacoyo with chipotle butter; Maine lobster accompanied by serrano yuzu and cascabel aioli; Key West shrimp marinated in adobo; hamachi rolls with Fresno chilies; and bone marrow ramen in shiitake dashi. Desserts include passion fruit cheesecake with goat cheese and coconut and an apple dessert made with Granny Smith apples and mascarpone. The all-day brunch menu features house-baked pastries and smoothies alongside heartier fare such as loaded pancakes with berries, chilaquiles topped with a sunny-side-up egg and queso fresco, and a wagyu burger dressed with port salut and smoked gouda. The beverage program features cocktails made with house-made shrubs, including brunch-leaning options like a watermelon mimosa, house sangria, and the Morning After (a bloody mary variation with clamato and celery salt), plus the Char Lemonade with bourbon and caramelized lemon and the Melancia with vodka, cucumber, and St-Germain; the restaurant also offers unlimited mimosas, champagne service, and non-alcoholic juices and smoothies. The 95-seat dining room showcases tropical murals by Brazilian artist Joao Incerti — including “Let the Sun Come In,” which decorates the dining room with reds, pinks, and white stripes — and includes an outdoor terrace and bar; salsa and cumbia music plays throughout, contributing to the lively atmosphere. Service hours: dinner Sunday–Thursday 6:00 p.m.–10:30 p.m. and Friday–Saturday 6:00 p.m.–11:30 p.m.; daily brunch noon–4:00 p.m.; breakfast 7:00 a.m.–11:00 a.m." - Olee Fowler

Campo At Casa Faena - Review - Miami Beach - Miami - The Infatuation

"Campo is a restaurant inside the Casa Faena hotel open for brunch and dinner. The brunch menu has juices, protein shakes, and chia bowls, along with some less healthy options like brioche french toast and a wagyu burger. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Team Infatuation

Where to Get Your Guacamole Fix in Miami

"Tucked away in the vibrant Casa Faena, a beachside boutique hotel, lies a sun-soaked tropical spot, transporting diners to the beaches of Tulum. Featuring a range of Mexican dishes, the standout starter is the beautifully presented guacamole, served alongside a selection of crisp crudites and crunchy totopos." - Alona Martinez

Gitano Review - Miami Beach - Miami - The Infatuation

"This restaurant inside Mid-Beach’s Casa Faena is originally from Tulum - and it feels like the kind of place your least favorite friend would end up on vacation. Vague tropical house music plays just a little too loud over the speakers and your server might ask if you’ve had time to “discover” the menu yet. The food is luckily more tolerable than the atmosphere. The green tomatillo bowl with kale and kiwi is refreshing, the truffle tlayuda is basically just a cheesy tortilla pizza (which isn’t a bad thing), and the smoked shrimp tacos definitely aren’t worth $26, but they get the job done." - Ryan Pfeffer

Splashy Tulum Import Gitano Sets Up Shop on South Beach - Eater Miami

"High-end “clean” Mexican food has come to Miami, courtesy of new restaurant Gitano (3500 Collins Avenue). The eatery, which began in hip Mexican vacation destination Tulum and expanded to New York City last year, is a longtime favorite of celebrities and socialites. The menu at Gitano, created by consulting chef-at-large, Mads Refslund, co-founder of Noma and former executive chef of ACME, is reflective of its Tulum roots. Guests can expect dishes like grilled avocado with ponzu, fish in banana leaf, and young coconut salad. It’s popular drinks like the Jungle Fever made with mezcal, cilantro, chili, and lime, also make its way to the menu in Miami. The multi-level space boasts a main dining room, bar, and lounge, outdoor dining and cocktail terraces and three-story tall glass atrium that can hold 110 for dinner and 40 for cocktails. The rooftop garden features ocean views, a tented lounge, teepees, outdoor showers. Plenty of the design features that make it an Instagram favorite in other locations made it to Miami as well like the wooden banquets, tropical plants, textured plaster walls, vintage light fixtures, pink neon Gitano sign, and large disco ball installation. Hopefully the Miami location will have better luck than its New York City counterpart. Despite lines wrapped the blocks for days after its debut, it was shut down twice by the department of health, received less than stellar reviews, and underwent a major revamp this year (including a name refresh) after its first season in New York City. Gitano’s restaurant, bar and terraces are open daily from 8 a.m. to midnight and 2 a.m. on the weekends. The rooftop garden is open daily from 4 to 11 p.m." - Olee Fowler

Campo is a hidden gem in Miami Beach. The atmosphere is vibrant and artsy, with beautiful indoor-outdoor seating and tropical touches throughout. The food is fresh, flavorful, and creative—highlights included the chicken burger and veggies wrap. Coffee was top-notch and beautifully balanced. Their condiments seemed to be made in-house as well and delicious. Service was outstanding from start to finish—friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. A perfect spot for a relaxed but elevated brunch or dinner. Highly recommend!

Nice little spot, the food was great but nothing to set it apart from the other spots in Miami. Our waitress was amazing, I forget her name, she's from Vietnam. Amazing service, attentive and engaging. The rest of the staff seemed a little annoyed to be getting customers as it entailed them having to work.

Amazing service! He (Carlow) was so patient with our table of 7 girls. He even did pull-ups, which we loved! I’d definitely come back again and request him as my server for the second time.

Fantastic meal and cocktails. Service was excellent and staff were friendly. Charito was very attentive and explained the options well. We had the avocado salad and key west shrimp for appetizers, amazing flavor. For our main meal we had the creekstone steak and the branzino. All were exceptional . It's a must go when in Miami !

It is a cute place in the lobby of the hotel. It is small and casual. We came here for their "lobster Wednesday" and got to try Lobster a la Talla, which was very good and lobster truffle pasta, which was ok. We also got Gratitude garden farm mushroom entree from the regular menu, and while it was small it was very flavorful and my favorite item from the dinner. For desert, we had a passion fruit cheesecake, which was light and delicious. If you are in the area, this is a nice place to check out. Update May 2025 I came back for dinner again, and the menu is a lot more unique, although there are not many options, but each one looks yum. I tried yellowtail appetizer, which was delicious, a little spicy, and so flavorful! For entree I got the ramen which was really great as well. In light of this, upgrade this cute place from 4 to 5 stars, for cuteness and great flavors.

An incredible experience! The food is delicious and the atmosphere is cozy. But what makes this place special is Charo’s service. 100% recommended! I’ll be back soon. 😊

Yelp
A true mélange of cultures, on the plate! Chef Antonio Maldonado succeeds* where others simply "meh," introducing new perspectives on tried dishes, like Guacamole y Totopos" (amazing with all the extra sauces and pickled vegetables) and the Branzino (Catch of the Day), with a fresh, lively sauce that includes kiwis! Our other two triumphs of selection were the "Long Island Squid" (grilled to perfection - smoky and NOT chewy) and the "Organic Bell & Evans Chicken" (slightly sweet, with a touch of crunch). The only constructive criticism we have is that the lobster ceviche was a small portion for the price. The service was excellent, the atmosphere fun and lively and the surroundings colorful and unique. You may have to ask to turn the music down but you will not be disappointed with a trip to Campo. Buen provecho! * We ate dinner. ** Family of 5, including children the ages of 10, 13 and 16. Menu: https://www.faena.com/casa-faena/dining/campo#menu

Yelp
Super friendly staff. The dish was amazing. My only complaint is that I didn't have more room to finish it!

Yelp
This brunch spot checked off all the boxes! Every corner was Pinterest worthy! Super cute interior and decor. Our hostess was extremely considerate as we had a guest with special needs and made sure she was seated carefully and comfortably. Our server was attentive but there were some communication barriers with her English... The ordered the Mozzarella sandwich without bacon and it was soo good it surprised me lol. Overall great experience

Yelp
The restaurant itself is beautiful and service is great as well as presentation. I ordered their Bone Marrow ramen but was a bit dissappointed. First of all the bowl was not filled even half way and it was small to begin with, then there was a lot of bacon in it and the menu did not state it would have any at all. For the price of this tiny bowl, I expected it to be amazing: Another thing was it was not hot enough. I hate a lukewarm soup, but was too hungry to send it back. Finally I ordered the apple crip dessert which was very delish and deserving of 5 stars, although they did take a long time bringing that out and had to take it to go.

Yelp
I would recommend coming during brunch or dinner. We were there for an early breakfast, so just had the continental breakfast, scrambled eggs and coffee Americanos. The eggs and coffee were wonderful, service good, and the space very inviting.

Yelp
My family and I were looking for a brunch spot within walking distance from our hotel when we came across this place. The interior is gorgeous and very Instagrammable. Normally, these cutesy places have okay food, but I was impressed by the dishes here. The best item was the French toast--it had a cream filling and was caramelized to perfection. Super yummy! If you get just one thing, make it the French toast. The avocado toast, chicken sandwich, and pancakes were all very good as well. The service was fast, and the waiter was kind. I definitely recommend this spot if you're looking for a brunch place for your family or a few friends.

Yelp
Incredible Brunch! I had brunch at Campo at Casa Faena today, and it was fantastic! The French toast was my favorite--perfectly crispy, soft, and delicious. Sofia provided amazing service, super friendly and attentive. Great food, great vibes--highly recommend!
