Glass Ceiling Rooftop

A very mixed experience. This is a marvellous location and they have created a lovely venue. Service - friendly, but just not on it like the other places we’ve eaten in NYC. Food - good. Drinks - there is a draft beer and bottle beer menu. After I ordered they confirmed they had no draft and only corona bottle. Kinda basics of their offering. Such a shame as it’s opposite our hotel (so convenient for anyone staying at Virgin in midtown)

My team and I were staying at the Virgin Hotel and decided to stop by the bar for some cocktails. We noticed a charming glass rooftop across the way and decided to check it out. We were definitely not disappointed, and it turned out to be a delightful surprise. The atmosphere felt like a cozy living room in one area, making it incredibly inviting. Our server, Will, was fantastic and offered excellent food recommendations. We were truly impressed by the entire experience. This place is a hidden gem—a diamond in the rough. 10 out of 10, would definitely come back and highly recommend it!

The food was fantastic but we could not enjoy it and had to leave earlier than expected because it was unbelievably cold indoors! It doesn’t hurt to cover the floor with carpets and make sure the heaters are running properly. Honestly it was unexpected from such a beautiful place in the heart of the city.

This place is so cute! Food was good, but not good enough to make up for the lackluster service. It wasn’t that busy for a Sunday brunch, but when I sat, they took about 5 minutes to come ask if I wanted anything to drink. I got the Frosè which was too dry for my taste, but I still drank it. When our waitress came back again to ask how the drinks were, I had to stop her from walking away so we could order food. Later, we got our food and wanted another round to go with our meals, but it took them so long to bring out our 2 drinks that we had already finished eating. Ultimately, good not great brunch, and probably wouldn’t return unless I was bringing someone who had never been to NYC before and wanted gorgeous views of the skyline.

Do not go for bottomless brunch! We went and they said they closed in one hour so they only let us do bottomless for one hour. No warning beforehand. Also, mimosas were coming once every 30 mins. We had to request several servers before we got our drinks. Warning- must buy food for bottomless brunch!

This was such a cute space. As soon as you enter, you feel like you're in a millennial ad. The place is so blush and welcoming and there are so many Instagrammable pieces. There's also a lot of places to sit and the space is really plush. The staff are super friendly and if you get the right person playing the music you'll be in heaven. There's outdoor seating and indoor, some lounge chairs and also mini cabana like seating. You can definitely do a group dinner here and it'll work just fine. I loved the indoor/outdoor feel. As far as the food goes, it was not crazy expensive and it was all pretty good, nothing spectacular but pretty good. The drinks were not as strong as they could be but they did taste really good. I'm definitely going back and it is highly recommended. Update: I've been to Glass Ceiling twice, and both times it was pretty good, even though the first time was better than the second. The decor is top notch and is really pretty for taking pictures. The staff are friendly and the food is pretty good. However, on my second visit, the waiter was nowhere to be found, we had to call them before our order could be taken. We also had to call them on several occasions for things like the bill. The french toast and pancakes are both pretty good here and the drinks are pretty, but I hope they improve on the service side of things.

If you happen to visit, make sure to try their mouthwatering pork, egg sandwiches, and guacamole. And oh my goodness, don't even get me started on their pancakes, French toasts, and croissants! They were simply divine, like a heavenly orchestra playing on my taste buds. Now, let's talk about the drinks. Saw the sign outside and stopped in to see the view of the Empire State Building, and have a couple of cocktails. Vibes were chill, server was great, food was good, drinks were solid too! I'm definitely coming back.
