"They’ve got 52 taps of craft beer from around the globe and free peanuts (the hallmark of any good bar), and while they’re not explicitly a sports bar, they do have a couple screens that will be showing games on Sunday." - kat hong, james montgomery
"Your social calendar the past year was basically limited to watering your ficus and tweeting about The Masked Singer reveals (honestly, who else is still processing the Kermit The Frog reveal?). Suddenly though, weekends are starting to fill up a bit and you’re struggling to decide which events you want to commit to. If it involves Glendale Tap, say yes. This Eastside dive bar has quickly become one of the best spots in LA for rare and interesting beer, with a casual outdoor patio adorned with ambient string lits, well-spaced picnic tables, and a tremendous line-up of rotating food pop-ups like Kuya Lord and B’ivrit. Keep an eye on their Instagram for all the latest details." - brant cox, kat hong
"Glendale Tap has an impressive 52 rotating taps often pouring stouts, IPAs, pale ales, and ciders. Out back on the patio, there are nightly food pop-ups, but outside food is also allowed in. The inside offers a different experience than other alehouses around town with cozy brick walls and red velvet-topped pool tables down the center." - Rebecca Roland
"With dozens of taps and a lot of hard-to-source beer, Glendale Tap has emerged as one of the city’s best beer bars over the past decade. The semi-hidden corner location also now welcomes a variety of food pop-ups." - Farley Elliott
"Not counting the bottom shelf of my fridge, there are very few places as committed to hard-to-find beer as Glendale Tap, the dive bar that’s turned into one of the best craft beer shops in town during COVID. Each time I stop by, they have a new set of incredible beers I’ve never seen before in LA, like hazy IPAs from Equilibrium, sours from De Garde, and barrel-aged stouts from Anchorage Brewing. If those don’t mean anything to you, trust me when I say that list will make any beer nerd’s head explode. For Thanksgiving, I picked up a bottle of De Garde’s Ivy, a wild ale aged on spruce pine tips for two years, and it was among the best beers I’ve had this year. This bar will also continue to host vendors serving food to-go, even with the new stay-at-home order, including some of our favorite pop-ups in the city, like Kuya Lord, Bootleg Pizza, and Uncle Johnny’s Burgers." - brett keating
