"Glenrosa may have a Mill Ave address but it is worlds away from the frat bar circuit down the road. This golf course restaurant trades tired country club tropes for striking pueblo-style interiors and a menu rooted in border town flavors. Two-time James Beard semifinalist Samantha Sanz tapped fellow Victor Davila to help curate a wood-fired menu that nods to her Nogales upbringing; tacos dorados with chile Colorado beef, family-style grilled meats, and a riff on the Tijuana-born Caesar with baby romaine, heirloom tomatoes, smoked chile bread crumbs, and Manchego. The bar reimagines golf club staples, too, with drinks like the Madrina, a jalapeño-spiked dirty martini, and the Grassy Palmer, made with SanTan peach bourbon and iced tea.
