"After developing a following through farmers’ markets like the weekly Saturday market in Poway where its booth regularly draws lines of customers, Glutenus Maximus Bakehouse is unveiling its first storefront cafe in Vista this Sunday, June 2 at 9 a.m. Operating daily from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m., the new cafe will be focused on takeout, with a minimalist but cozy interior and a pastry display that will feature the bakery’s sweet treats, including brown butter chocolate chip cookies, almond croissants, cardamom morning buns, butterscotch pecan sticky buns, and lemon curd-filled cruffins, a croissant-muffin hybrid. Glutenus Maximus will also offer coffee and tea along with an expanded menu of hot sandwiches, including breakfast egg sandwiches on Liege waffles and brioche buns and a braised beef short rib croissant sandwich." - Candice Woo

First things first - I love the name! Stopped by for breakfast and got the waffle sandwich and a croissant. Amazing selection of fresh bakery items, sammies, and coffee. A few seats outside for dining made it easy to enjoy our food. This is great for a breakfast pastry or even corporate catering for a small breakfast meeting. The gal who helped us was friendly and helpful and they even accommodated a bit of a menu customization for me. I’d definitely recommend and will certainly be back. Personally I’d love to see them open up at 6:30 for folks who need to start their workday at 7 :-)

Google
Oh my gosh. Finally a fabulous bakery in inland North County! We ordered the bread pudding, cinnamon roll, coconut macadamia danish, and the hot croissant breakfast sandwich (listed on the board). Oh. My. Gosh. We didn’t even bother to wait to take everything home and instead opted to stuff ourselves seated at the tables outside. There are so many choices that it was hard to limit ourselves. Everything was amazing. The breakfast sandwich was the best one I have ever had. The staff were so kind to us and patiently answered our questions. I’m so excited to try the rest of their pastries! Thank you!

Google
Delicious food and quick service. Stopped in for a quick break and ended up with their croissant, cinnamon roll, croissant bread pudding, and a liege waffle. Each was yummy and my family gobbled it up quickly once we returned home. Parking in the center is easy and convienent if you manage to go after the lunch rush. Employees were friendly and I was in and out within 10 minutes. Most of the time was spent trying to figure out what we wanted.

Needless to say, their croissants are flaky, rich and buttery without greasiness at all. You will like it! Love the peoples smiles at the counter. I will be back!!

Google
They serve decent French style pastries. Price is comparatively high but quality is great. All things we tried today are so tasty and fresh :) Croissant bread pudding is my daughter's favorite. I wish they could open a new store closer to my home.

The name is what caught my eye! Various baked goods as well as a few sandwiches & drinks on the menu. Everything we’ve tried so far was delicious! We’ve tried the liege waffle, white macadamia cookie, cream cheese cinnamon roll & raspberry almond scone. However, I’m biased towards fruit scones and was thankful that they had at least one, and it was wonderful! This bakery is a gem, I hope they’ll be around a long time. Delicious baked goods at a decent price and great location.

Google
Oh Wow!! Like heaven for your tastebuds! We stopped by for take-away pastries this morning, first visit. What an incredible surprise. This is upscale, top shelf, French-chef level baked goods. The display is beautiful and it’s really hard to choose just one! We tried Cardamom Morning Bun and Tiramisu Cruffin today. Both so light and flaky, perfectly baked for crisp outside and tender moist inside. Exactly perfect amount of spices and flavorings. The Tiramisu creme goes all the way into the center and is so light and creamy and flavorful. Yes, the prices are on the high side, but you are getting exceptional quality. Seriously, this gem of a bakery could be in Del Mar, Downtown, Coronado and probably have a line out the door. They are still growing the business and expect to have espresso drinks, fresh baked breads, more sandwiches and other great plans in the coming days. Both people working (owners?) were friendly, helpful and efficient. The bakery itself spotlessly clean and bright and focus your eye right to the goodies. The only negative is the taco shop next door leaves the outside table area looking pretty dirty from the night before. There is no indoor seating (where it is clean and nice), so we took our yummy pastries to go. Looking forward to coming back soon. I will take more pics next visit! Go try this place - you’ll be impressed and hooked.😁

Google
No question one of the best bakeries in the county. Prices are reasonable and product is incredible! Don't go if you're in a hurry. After being a few times I can say that service is forced at best, but it's absolutely worth the trouble.

Craig W.

Yelp
This is an outstanding bakery that is probably not on your radar but absolutely should be on your radar and I mean, right now. The baked goods here are fantastic. We visited them on a Saturday morning and there was no line out the door. Let me tell you right now: There SHOULD have been a line out the door. The food is that good. It is a small shop in a little mall and there's plenty of parking all around. The store itself is small with no indoor or outdoor seating. The display case probably has 20 or more different food options and we wanted one of everything. Our cholesterol levels and waistlines would not allow us to get one of everything so we tried a milk and cookies cruffin that was sublime and a butterscotch pecan sticky bun that was great. If you put this store in Beverly Hills or Manhattan or heck, even Paris, it would do gangbusters business. This is high quality stuff which will, in fact, give you a more prominent gluteus maximus--not that there is anything wrong with that.

Yonnie C.

Yelp
Came by here today to pick up the following 1 ) Belgian waffle - good but dense 2) lemon cruffin - good 3) coconut cruffin - good 4) heart shaped cookies x 2 - good Fun store name.

Kimmy C.

Yelp
I have yet to come to their brick n mortar but I just came back from the poway farmers market where they frequent. They are THE best bakery stand at the market. Breakfast sandwich, cinnamon rolls, croissants, and the chocolate chip cookies with a touch of salt. As a person who loves her baked goods, I look forward to my lazy Saturday mornings when I can come by and grab a bag of treats from gluteus maximus... It's family LOVES everything we get and we look forward to coming up to this venue to try more goodies.

Allyson D.

Yelp
The icing on the cronut was delicate yet delicious. I say delicate because it was falling off the cronut when biting into it, but it was so chocolatey that I picked up the crumbs with my fingers. The actual cronut was so soft and within seconds, it was gone! I was given my pastry with a smile!

Jailen T.

Yelp
Best croissant shop in San Marcos! Great spot to satisfy cravings. I wish the croissant was a little more flaky and crunchy. It was buttery and a bit mushy since I got the jalapeño ham & cheese warmed up. We also enjoyed the salted chocolate chip cookie. Would like to come back to try the breakfast sandwich.

Dan W.

Yelp
Wonderful Baked goods Plus Cold Brew Nitro tapped coffee locally roasted! place is delish. we both got jalapeño ham and cheese croissants they were to die for. get em toasted!!! 2 Cold brews and we were set! yummy!

Latasha H.

Yelp
I recently had an incredible experience at this bakery! We tried the butter, almond, and ham & cheese croissants, as well as the blueberry basil cheesecake square, and everything was absolutely delicious. The croissants were perfectly airy, buttery, and flaky, with just the right balance of softness and crunch. The blueberry basil cheesecake square was a delightful surprise-- the subtle basil added a unique twist to the sweet blueberry flavor, making it a truly standout dessert. Everything tasted fresh and was made with high-quality ingredients, and the prices were very reasonable. The bakery also offers plenty of outdoor seating, which is great if you want to enjoy your treats in the fresh air. The customer service was top-notch, making the experience even better. I will definitely be back soon! Highly recommend this spot for anyone craving exceptional pastries and a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

Yelp
Stopped by on the way back home from SD and we were blown away! On the savory side, the croissant sandwich was SHOCKINGLY DERRICIOUS - literally every component popped on our palates from the juicy sausage and crispy hash brown to the buttery croissant all tied together by the lemon garlic aioli. Going sweeter, the Boston cream cruffin was the best of its kind yet for the top notch lamination and copious amounts of filling. The chocolate chip cookie was also very well-done and gargantuan in size. Seriously one of the best bakeries we've visited in a while and right up there with our favorite, Bag of Cakes!

Haley H.

Yelp
I recommend this bakery to absolutely everyone. They never disappoint. It remains the best croissant sandwich I've ever had and it's consistently perfect. I love that they always have a plethora of pastries as well and they rotate out flavors and types so there's always fan favorites but also new things to try and to fall in love with. Fantastic spot. Won't disappoint

Krysten S.

Yelp
Our boss brought some of their gorgeous pastries by the office for us to try and was intrigued by the coconut cruffin. All of their pastries were huge and really something special to look at. The flavor of the coconut was good and creamy, but could've amped up the coconut flavor a little bit. The layers were flaky but just a touch dry. I think if I had had it fresh it would've been different but still lovely! I'd like to come back and try other options, especially an almond croissant which in my opinion is a great way to see what a bakery can do. The name is cute and I appreciate something new in the neighborhood!

Miriam V.

Yelp
Second time that I have came here and I can say that I love it! They definitely know how to make croissants. First time I came I tried the Strawberry Shortcake Croissant, jalapeño/cheese/ham croissant, and a cinnamon roll. I liked both croissants but I did not enjoy the cinnamon roll since I found it a bit on the drier side. This time around I tried a regular croissant, chocolate croissant, almond croissant, brownie, and Belgium waffle. The waffle was not my cup of tea but most of my family enjoyed it. I can't speak about the brownie either since it didn't really call my attention but my cousin described it as "rich" & "chewy." As for the croissants, they were a hit. Loved all of them. Makes me want to go back to try their cruffins.

Nguyen B.

Yelp
I may have just had the best salted chocolate chip cookie of my life. Perfectly soft center and great flavor. Already looking forward to coming back and trying more! Staff was super friendly and welcoming when we came in too.

Cerena P.

Yelp
This place is just outstanding, not only do they have outstanding pastries they also have incredible breakfast sandwiches. Large, beautiful display when walking in and everything is HUGE. The cookies are massive and the cinnamon rolls are impressive looking. The food is incredible!! Everything I've tried has been fantastic. The breakfast croissant is soooo good, so perfectly crispy and the aioli on it definitely makes it stand out as one of the best breakfast croissants I've ever had. The strawberry shortcake was light and fluffy and delicious. The ham and cheese croissant is mouth watering. Bread pudding is definitely a win as well! The cinnamon roll unfortunately had a lemon aftertaste that my boyfriend did not find enjoyable, but he absolutely loved the macadamia nut white chocolate cookie! Service is quick and friendly. This place has no indoor seats it's more of a pickup place. Prices are reasonable for how big the portions are. Overall if you are in the area it's definitely a place to check out.

Yelp
I never cared for Liege waffles up until a recent trip to Belgium so I was delighted when I heard Glutenus Maximus provided these as an option so I just had to try! Upon entering, I immediately acknowledged my rookie mistake....I came in around 130p and the selections were scarce. On the bright side, they had some liege waffles available and croissants. Imagine I had gone early and they were fully stocked, I would've ordered every single item available. So the Liege Waffle, so so good. Subtly sweet and firm on the outside and an airy/soft inside. Just loved how it reminded me of the better ones Ive had in Belgium. The Liege Waffle Sandwich was just purely amazing as well. Bacon, egg, tomato, basil and lemon garlic aoli sandwiched between liege waffles so enjoyable. So much flavor that I couldn't get enough. As for the croissant, definitely one of the better ones Ive had as well. So lesson learned, I'll be back earlier to try more options but also, to sink my teeth into another Liege Waffle :)

Laura S.

Yelp
Staff is very friendly and attentive, shop is clean and the display case is aesthetically pleasing Adding from a previous review I had made when they first opened. I had an opportunity to go back as a do over and I was much happier this time. I still feel the same about the cinnamon rolls which is that they are a little over iced and on the dry side. They do offer to warm them up for you upon request, but they do it in the microwave which I opted out of the second time because I don't want my food microwaved and everyone knows when you do that, the time starts ticking on when you need to finish it before it gets hard. I had a lemon curd cruffin (2x since my initial review) and it's so tasty. I brought it to work and a colleague cut off a piece and ended up coming back for the whole thing. I love everything lemon and I thought the lemon curd was really tasty. The pastry is crispy, flaky, crunchy like a croissant but the base still has softness to it. I also ordered an assortment of almond croissants that were way better this time. I did not try the scone again, but am hoping it actually has chunks of berries in it now since I last gave feedback. My husband got himself a croissant breakfast sandwich and we split it and were pleasantly surprised to see it had a real fried egg in it (not sure of where they get it from), and hash browns! It was not too oily and the flavor was fabulous. I believe it came with sausage but he may have tossed it because we didn't know where it came from and try to be careful with what we eat. The liege waffle was tasty. I did not ask for it to be warmed up, but it was tasty, perfectly sweet and soft. Glad I gave this place a second chance!

Yelp
The service is top notch. Alex is friendly and helpful, and told me about the menu, food, drinks and we talked about their history. Besides this location they are also at some of the farmers markets around San Diego. The locations is great for me, in Vista, in the business park area, right off Palomar Airport road. Plenty of parking. The inside is sparse, not a place to sit and eat your food, there are some tables outside, but the food in the food case is impressive looking and tastes great. I saw the giant cream cheese frosting cinnamon rolls and had to try it. They are massive, but they are also so good, and a great price for such a large and delicious treat. Definitely in my top 2 cinnamon rolls of all time. I have tried several all over and most are dry or the frosting is sub par, but not this one. The frosting is decadently sweet, tasty, and I could eat that all by itself, but of course it pairs well with the roll itself. The combo is magical and I am glad I got it. However they also have cruffins, cookies, buns, bread pudding, strawberry shortcake and so many other good treats to try. I can't wait to get some for friends and family and see if they agree with my assessment. Go and visit and support them.

Yelp
Delicious French Bakery in the Vista Palomar Park Plaza. We picked up lunch earlier this week and saw the decals on the windows that we hadn't noticed before. Came back yesterday to give it a try - wow. Not only was their selection incredible, everything looked (and tasted) so fresh. We tried the strawberry shortcake croissant and the short rib dip. Both were amazing. The beef was so tender in the French dip, on a buttery, flaky, fresh croissant. The strawberry shortcake croissant had the freshest strawberry slices and house made whipped cream. Service was also great, they were patient and answered all our questions as we checked the options out. Will definitely be back!

Aimee P.

Yelp
In search of delicious croissants and Glutenus Maximus didn't disappoint . Got the famius butter croissant and cardamom vanilla morning bun and I must admit, it was delicious. It was flaky and worth the 5 star review. I love it . Worth the drive .

Beverly E.

Yelp
If you love pastries, then you will love this place! There are plenty of options to choose from, for whatever you're craving -- or not. They're a bit pricey, but the quality in the ingredients are solid. Pastries/Sweets. * The chocolate chip cookie was my favorite. It is one of the best I've had in a long time! * The bread pudding is rich. Your waistline will probably feel it immediately, lol. * Liege waffle. It was good, but a little too sweet for my liking. My kids on the other hand, loved it! Breakfast sandwiches. * I tried the croissant breakfast sandwich and felt like some of the flavors were really overpowering one another. * It would be great to see some vegetarian options. Coffee. * no frills coffee. Just black coffee with milk and creamers. Hot tea. * They use Rishi teabags, which are high-quality! If you love tea, don't pass on this! * I loved my ginger turmeric tea. I was able to steep it for a couple more cups at home, it was delicious. Seating. * There's outside seating in the shared area with the Mexican restaurant next-door Restroom. * If you need to use the restroom, you have to use it at the Mexican restaurant next-door. Don't forget to checkin for your free croissant bread pudding!

Adam H.

Yelp
I LOVE THIS PLACE. Their croissants are perfect. Their cruffins are filled to the brim. Their cinnamon rolls are divine. Their puff pastry is the best I've ever had (and I've had a lot, arguably too much.) Even the coffee is good! Do yourself a favor and check out this totally inconspicuous little bakery in Vista for some of the best baked goods in the tri cities.

Kris H.

Yelp
I've been here twice. Both times I got different pastries and they were both so good. Also wasn't expecting anything from their coffee but I actually liked it a lot! I will be returning.

Vicki A.

Yelp
So good! Stopped in to get pastries for my co-workers. Spent an arm and a leg, but was worth it! The Great - The pastries are gooood. The Good - Drip coffee was pretty good as well! The Bad - Wish they had more coffee options The Ugly - NA I do wish there was seating in or around this place to enjoy a pastry and a coffee. I think this place is more of a buy-yourself-a-pastry rather than buying for the office just because of the cost.

Teresa H.

Yelp
They have tremendously changed their menu. I was super excited about a particular sandwich. My daughter and I drove over there and they no longer serve foods from that menu. It's primarily baked goods and one or two basic sandwiches. This page needs to be updated to their current business model

J. L.

Yelp
Holy smokes this place is AMAZING! We got quite a few things from them. A raspberry filled muffin type thing, a blueberry fig danish, cinnamon roll, Black Forest croissant, pumpkin latte espresso danish or something Everything was absolutely insanely delicious! Congrats to the people who own this place and work here. There are few and far between places that have a passion for achieving excellence and take this much time and care into baking and cooking. It takes sooooooo much time, dedication and effort to make these recipes as well as they are doing.

Jasmine M.

Yelp
Ugh, I daydream about this place! So yummy I recommend everything! I need them to open up another location

Ashley C.

Yelp
Picked this place purely for the genius name! We stopped in for something sweet so we picked a blueberry cheesecake donut. I did my usual Yelp check-in and was pleased to see a really generous check-in offer: a free croissant bread pudding! It was huge too. I ended up eating it for dessert that night but we did eat the donut right away. They were generous with the cream filling and I liked the texture on the outside of the donut! Not sure it's a $5 donut but it was very tasty. Just wish they had more spots to sit so just plan on taking to-go. At least I got to enjoy my bread pudding comfortably at home. I warmed it up in the microwave and added the caramel on top just like the instructions said on the container. It was rich but it was so good! Just needed a glass of milk! The portion was very hefty and definitely enough for two to share.

Gail D.

Yelp
I got the ham and cheese croissant and the boston cream cruffin, the tiramisu cruffin and the waffle. So far I tried the ham and cheese croissant and the boston cream. Both had a light crispy texture. Service was helpful and the man working here had some good suggestions. The storefront is small so no seating or restrooms. More like a take and go place. I'll definitely be back. Only downside is lots of items were sold out!

Tanya D.

Yelp
Holy mother of Gluten, this is what poems are inspired by...true love! I stumbled across this gem the other day and I have to thank the universe for bringing us together. The store front is clean and displays the pastries beautifully. Walking in I was immediately confronted with panic of which items to order; I don't know how anyone could only leave with one item! I ordered the following: lemon and tiramisu cruffin, ham cheese (and jalapeño) croissants, strawberry croissant, almond croissant, Boston crème donut, coconut hazelnut bar. Now, I would have loved to have eaten each one but neither my stomach or my greedy a** family would allow that so...I shared against my will. The lamination on the croissants are spot on to classic French patisserie! Buttery soft inside with a flaky exterior, each bite was perfect. Quality ingredients are clearly being used; the ham, the cheese, the strawberries, every ingredient was quality and complementary to the pastry. The cream in the strawberry shortcake was velvety and sweet but not aggressively; you can really taste the beauty of the strawberry. I'll be back with more feedback as I eat my way through the menu. I went back today because, well, because I never said I have self control! Will review the sausage croissant and lemon curd cruffin next. If you love yourself or hell, if you're working on loving yourself then do yourself the service or enjoying any one of the delightful treats these awesome humans are putting out. Shout out to the front staff too, so friendly and helpful.

Veronica H.

Yelp
I was staying nearby and decided to stop in before heading home. It's smaller than I expected with a few outdoor tables only, but it was not busy and was easy to get a table. Their sandwiches were the highlight. I got the croissant sandwich and it's delicious. Friend got the waffle sandwich and loved it. I got a few pastries (morning buns and an almond croissant) but sadly they were too dry for my liking. A ton of sugar and cinnamon though on the morning bun. I would def get their sandwiches again and maybe try other pastries, but a bit disappointed this time. Also they only serve drip coffee, but I recommend the Cat & Craft cafe if you want a latte or other espresso drink. It's delish.

Lissa L.

Yelp
All the bakes are delicious! They have both sweet and savory options (though they lean more on the sweet side), and anything filled is going to be filled to the brim! They also have hot drip coffee and tea, no cold drinks. The service is great! And the ambiance is casual, the inside is a walk-up bar, all seating is outside. I wish they had indoor seating and cold drink options too, but everything they do have is good. Free parking available.

Lauren V.

Yelp
Cool place. Small little stop in at the business park. They sell out early (usually by 11) so go in the morning for a wider selection! Staff is helpful and service is fast. The pastries are big and dense! You definitely get your money's worth here. There is no indoor seating, but some tables outside. FYI they only do hot drinks! Would love to see them offer iced tea and coffee in the future. Overall a cool little modern bakery with very good croissant sandwiches.

Jasmine L.

Yelp
The croissants and cookies at this place match the awesome name. We got the Strawberry Shortcake Croissant, the Jalapeño Ham and cheddar Croissant, the Salted Chocolate Chip cookie, and the Nutella Cruffin. All were delicious!! They opened in June 2024 so come and support this new local business.

Marie S.

Yelp
The sweet pastries were exceptional! We ordered a cardamom roll. A banana pastry and a pecan one. They were all very different from each other and all soooo good! There were three of us and so we ordered three different things and then shared them, so we could try all of them. I highly recommend doing that so you can try more than one thing. They are all so scrumptious.

Susan D.

Yelp
Saw this on our way to breakfast a couple stores down by Brunch Point. At first I thought it was another fitness facility but at closer look there were pictures of baked goods so I knew I had to try. And it didn't disappoint! It's a bakery but they do serve a few sandwiches & drinks. I was helped by a friendly employee who told me that the Liege waffle is what they're known for, so I had to try. It was just enough sweetness and good texture. I can see why their breakfast sandwich would be good using these. There were many baked goods to choose from so I also tried their white chocolate macadamia cookie which was thick & slightly chewy, their cinnamon roll was moist and fluffy and the icing was not overly sweet. Delicious! Sadly, what I really wanted and was looking for was a fruit scone and they were out of their raspberry scone. They only had a chocolate toffee one. However, after telling my friends about this new place, one of them actually went early the next day and brought me back the raspberry scone and it was delicious! So now my favorite is their raspberry scone (it's my bias). I hope they'll always have it on hand. But overall, it's a gem. Delicious baked goodies for a decent price at a good location. Hope they'll be around for a long time!

Erin M.

Yelp
They are very nice and their plain croissants are delicious. Things that bummed us out: Been here twice but not too happy to now notice they have a credit card surcharge. I would have happily paid cash if I'd know. Plus it's already expensive. They don't disclose everything that's inside the croissants. My kid wanted a ham and cheese one so we got it to go. When we got to the park we found out it had Dijon mustard inside! Very upset they had no snack to eat and I threw $$ away!! Please please add ingredients to your mini signs.

Samantha K.

Yelp
Wow!! Who knew this hidden spot?! Superior quality, texture & taste. I appreciate the restraint of not going overboard w/sweetness or too many ingredients. The art & skill of the bread making shines!

Kathy T.

Yelp
Good luck on making a decision to buy one thing. I don't have that will power. I lose all focus and get 3-4 items for myself before I leave. It's a shame what I go through. No tables in there so order what u want and go on ur merry little way. They're an hour drive for me so I go when I'm north.... but u can catch them at farmer's markets too!

Ryan J.

Yelp
Did a lovely pastry run here this morning while visiting Vista. I'm definitely a pastry snob having lived in NY, SF, and currently LA, so was it on that level? I'd say no *BUT* I do think it was a nice start to my morning and if I lived in the area there doesn't seem to be another game in Vista. Our favorite item was hands down the cardamom morning bun - universal praise. Everything else divided the crowd right down the middle with the key lime cruffin's dye color making headlines in our group. All in all a solid 4 stars!

Rebecca S.

Yelp
I love this place! Everything I've tried is so amazing. They have the best croissant breakfast sandwiches, their croissants are so soft and flaky. A must try!

Kallan C.

Yelp
Wow wow wow! Cinnamon roll is soooo good. Not overly sweet. The cream cheese frosting is more cream cheesy than sweet. They also have sticky buns with delicious nuts and caramel. Cookies are huge. Small selection of breakfast sandwiches. Drip coffee available. Only downside is there isn't much seating. Looking forward to coming back to try more items!

Andrea R.

Yelp
Bread pudding wooooow!!!!! Oh my goodness. I've had a lot of bread puddings in high end places and for me, this one hit just the same! Comes with a delicious salted carmel drizzle! Delicious. The morning buns are insane, extremely flaky but moist and wonderful at the same time. I drive 25 minutes there and back because it's worth it. Tried the white chocolate chip macadamia nut cookie, raspberry scone, morning bun, jalapeño ham and cheese croissant and all delicious! 10 outta 10 in my book! And the staff is friendly which makes it even better for me.

Miriam M.

Yelp
I stopped by this bakery because of the good reviewd and was not disappointed! The croissant sandwich was so buttery and flaky, probably the vest breakfast sandwich ive had in a while. The morning bun was also very flaky with a hint of sweetness. The place itself looks very clean and bright which i enjoyed. The chasier was very friendly and helpful. I will definitely stop by again when im in the area!

Jessica G.

Yelp
I have been wanting to try this place since I noticed it a few months ago. Why did I not go sooner??! I wish I went sooner! I had the most delicious jalapeño ham and cheese croissant! It was flaky and soft and so delicious. I can't wait to return to try even more!

Deedee G.

Yelp
Super tasty food: Croissant breakfast sandwich was good and the aioli they use gives a nice contrast to the rich food. The actual croissant part was great. Perfect amount of chew. The liege waffle sandwich was good too, a nice sweet and savory combo. The lemon curd cruffin was excellent. The lemon was tart and creamy and a perfect contrast to the pastry. Nice staff. Only down side: a slightly larger drink menu. I only drink iced coffee and my kid doesn't drink any coffee. And there is no seating inside but there are a few tables outside. In a cold morning the seating area didnt feel comfy or cozy. Would definitely try again.

Jenna D.

Yelp
Croissant sandwich is amazing! Love the lemon spread. We also really enjoy the morning buns. Almond croissant is light and yummy.

Justin W.

Yelp
Although my daughter did enjoy the Chocolate Chip cookie the flavoring of some the items was just to over powering vs the texture and flavor. Probably wouldn't go back as it was just okay not something that brought a consumer wanting more.

Yelp
Chanced on this place while riding back to Vista from Lake San Marcos two weeks after they opened, and have been back many times since. Consistently top notch baked goods and customer service. Everybody is friendly, efficient, and know their food. I have tried the Liege Waffle, the Waffle Sandwich, butter croissants, chocolate croissants, lemon curd cruffin, tiramisu cruffin, strawberry shortcake croissant sandwiches, and a few different cookies. Everything is amazing. I'm quite addicted to the strawberry shortcake croissant sandwich and the lemon curd cruffin. The latter stays wonderful the day after, too (I bought too many things to eat in a day the last time I was there). The next day, the lemon curd had worked its way into the crust a bit more, and mellowed out (so not as tart as the day it was made). I didn't even have to heat it up in anyway. The cookies are humongous (definitely worth the price). This is a take-out oriented place, but there are a couple of small patio tables available. A fantastic addition to the neighborhood!

Yelp
The croissants are good, everything else is very very sweet. If you like overly sweet stuff this is your place.

Yelp
It was okay. The goodies all looked scrumptious. The cream cheese cinnamon roll was quite dry. The icing was a great consistency and delicious. The salted caramel croissant and the liege were my favorite. The Liege was chewy, sweet, toasty and delicious. I will go back and try them again but not impressed with the dough used for their croissants. It lacked the flaky buttery side of what a croissant normally has. Note, no where to sit except outside. Cute store, extremely clean and friendly staff.
