Gnocchi on 9th

Fantastic experience. Small spot but with great food! The servers were friendly and the gnocchi delicious. Had the Alla Vodka and the pomodoro. The gnocchi dumplings were a great consistency and texture and the sauce was tasty. Would definitely come back!

One of the best gnocchi in NYC! The portion is quite big we shared 2 between 3 people. Highly recommend!

The food is very good, with just a few items on the menu but all very good. I’d recommend getting the gnocchi alla vodka and adding burrata! Be aware that there’s no sitting area, so most people eat on the steps of nearby houses or take their food with them.

I bet people here that says it tastes good has never actually tried good gnocchi I feel pity... Ordered pesto buratta gnocchi for $16 gnocchi is too mushy and sticky no flavor in the pesto sauce cause it's thin All I can taste is the sour potato and flour in the gnocchi. Worst gnocchi ever Had better house made pesto gnocchi in Canada made my middle eastern people around the same price??? like it's edible but do u not take pride in making the food yummy..?

Got the gnocchi vodka w/ truffle burrata, delicious! & good value. Love that it's so portable and still warm and delicious for on-the-go in the city. Good for a quick bite !

Definitely did not meet my expectations. The sauce was all at the bottom and it was not as flavourful as I wanted it to be / used to (when eating pasta). The buretta is a must. I wouldn’t be able to eat even half of the gnocchi without it. I was curious, so overall it was just a “oh ok, good to know” meal. Staff was nice tho.

Good takeout lunch option when you are in the area, although a little pricey. We had the cacio and pepe truffle, and pomodoro with burrata. Bought were tasty, although not the best gnocchi we’ve had (especially the cacio e pepe which was quite heavy). Would recommend for a convenient option to eat at the park.

I came here to say with a friend and couldn't believe the food and service coming out of this small but mighty establishment! Gnocchi was absolutely delicious and loved the texture. Everything gets done fresh on the spot and patrons receive the food within 5 min. At worst we did! It's centrally located and the owners were really friendly too! Amazing spot to stop by with friends!!

And a pro tip: melting the burrata in the microwave the next day is pure magic. It was a majestic experience that extended the joy of my meal. Firstly, it's not fresh gnocchi. I saw the packaging, don't try to fool me. I had to try here because I love gnocchi and saw them on TikTok. We got the marinara and the spicy vodka and ate it while we walked to Astor Place to eat it and meet our friends. Is it worth it for $9 for a chinese take out size gnocchi? Yes. Is it worth it in general? I don't know since it's prepackaged. :(

Gnocchi on 9th came up on my feed and ofc I had to try it since low cost Italian food in Manhattan is unheard of. I got the vodka alla gnocchi with the regular burrata on top! I love that their menu is limited since it really helps with my decision paralysis when it comes to Italian food, though I'd love to see them come out with a white sauce gnocchi soon! The vodka one was pretty good and with the chili flakes even better. It wasn't amazing but it was definitely satisfying and filling. The burrata was fresh and I love the concept of being able to carry pasta around to go. If you're carb loading before a night out and if you're in east village this is the spot to hit, next time I might even bring this little container around as a I bar hop for in between drink snacking. I also had a slice of their tiramisu and that was worth a whole star on its own. It's a small slice but some of the best I've ever had!

I really like the concept of taking pasta to go and I think it looks super delicious, but for some reason the taste of these really falls flat. I found the consistency of the gnocchi to be really inconsistent (some softer than others and some harder). Most of mine I found to be somewhat hard, and the sauce, especially the marinara, was super thin. I'll admit I waited until I got home to eat these, so maybe the wait time was a factor? If it was, then I'd say this doesn't reheat well and I'd suggest trying this fresh right when you get it.

Gnocchi was freshly made, with the choice of having pomodoro & a la vodka. My friends and I got a split of the different sauces and must say it was delicious!! The gnocchi itself was pillowy and melts in your mouth on each bite. I recommend getting it with the red pepper flakes for sure. Oh also, my husband got the black pepper and it was definite black pepper. The service is fast and friendly. Also, 10$ gnocchi?? What a deal at the heart of st.marks. So happy I had the chance to try it out finally.

The bubbling pots are alluring when you come inside, but the product you're served tastes like the stuff you boil up at home (I'm told, via other reviews, that it is indeed just that). You get what you pay for, and here you're really paying for novelty and convenience. Team inside dishing up the gnocchi was warm and friendly, but the "powers that be" lingering outside were sadly giving off less than gracious vibes. (Read: dick vibes, if you're calling a spade a spade.) Grumbling about their staff, cajoling people to post "for the 'gram" in a cloying way rather than an appreciative one, and talking down on other pricier restaurants in the neighborhood trying to insinuate any less than stellar reviews were their handiwork. No, this review isn't the work of some undercover agent sent by Gnoccheria. Just someone who'd probably rather pay $20 for the good stuff, or else $3 for the middling stuff even if I have to make it at home.

Wow, incredible flavor! The gnocchi was amazing and the sauce was so creamy and tasty. The burrata was paired perfectly and it was well worth the price. All the empolyees were welcoming and it's located in a cute hole in the wall shop.

Make your way here, delicious! Simple menu & great hospitality. I am staying away from meat and they are able to accommodate with just tomato sauce. Also, it's just ten bucks! Will be back!

Cute idea on the take out container. Since there's no place to sit, barely enough space to order and waiting for your food. But the container makes it easy to eat and walk. Both types of gnocchi tastes really good. This was my first time having it and i am now open to order it more often.

Pasta on the go is a fun concept, especially if you're looking for convenience, but this quality and taste is nothing extraordinary. I admit, $10/cup is definitely one of the more affordable pasta options though.

This place is new. I ordered the gnocchi with the pomodoro sauce and added burrata. You can't beat gnocchi for $10! It's take out only. Mike, the owner was working the register and was very friendly. The gnocchi was delicious! I'd pay more if they offered meat sauce options. Definitely check this place out!

Fast, casual, cheap, good if you need carbs fast before a night out but in terms of taste and texture, not really anything you wouldn't find at any other fast Italian place.

Yum yum yum. This place has definitely blown up since going viral on TikTok and Instagram - so expect long lines and some growing pains. We arrived around 1:15pm on a Saturday and only waited in line for about 10 minutes before ordering. We then waited about twenty minutes for our order (one of each sauce!); the owner came out and apologized (and offered free waters for our wait), as they had run out of one of the sauces and were making another batch. Once we got our food, it was delicious, hot and the perfect little snack for only $10 each. One of my friends is a vegan and she was able to have the pomodoro sauce, which we loved.

My friend and I got the gnocchi allá vodka with burrata and was tasty but nothing extraordinary. It was a good price, about $13 which is way cheaper than any pasta place I've been to. It also took them less than a minute to get the order ready. It's a pretty tight knit place as there's no seating area but thankfully the packaging makes it super easy to eat while walking. The staff members were nice. Not sure if I'd go back, but it's worth trying at least once.

The gnocchi here is definitely good but it's also store bought gnocchi so you could make it at home. They use De Cecco brand. I think when I saw the TikTok about it I assumed it was homemade. That said, it's super delicious, filling, and cheap. I'd probably go back. I wanna try the truffle burrata. Everyone working was super nice and the man who runs the place was so positively surprised about all the hype so it was a sweet experience, just don't go in expecting a fancy homemade moment.

The gnocchi was super soft and chewy. I got the vodka sauce, which had a olivey aftertaste. From the reviews below, I'll try this with burrata next time. Probably not the best gnocchi I've had, but the value is great.

Just ordered the gnocchi Al pomodoro with the burrata ball (extra $3) with a dash of Parmesan and red pepper. The burrata is served cold and is a nice contrast to the hot gnocchi but overall, this dish is just average. I could do the same with gnocchi from Trader Joe's and a jar of good tomato sauce.

The gnocchi is fine but this is a COPY of Drogheria Fine in Montreal with 0 credit. Oh but in Montreal it's been around for years and is $5 and tastes a lot better.

Gnocchi is frozen, sauce is OK. Came here cus it went viral, but nothing to report home to. Waited a long time for it, too. The black truffle burrata was better than the pasta. We also got the tiramisu. Unfortunately, it's frozen and has freezer burn.

I saw the place on my tik tok recently and was sure let's try it. It's close to work so I ordered and I gotta say I don't understand the hype of the place. The gnocchi were ok but I was hoping for some kinda meat inside but it's just a bunch of gnocchi stuffed in a Chinese food box.

You get what you pay for. Thought I'd try it after seeing it on multiple social media posts. It's $10 gnocchi so I wasn't expecting it to be the best in the world but it did its job. 3 stars for the idea of hyping it up on social media and getting people to visit. 1 extra star for the burrata. The burrata made the gnocchi so much better so definitely get it with that but it's additional money. The service is quick and the place is super cute like a hole in the wall.

It was alright- sadly the Gnocchi isn't made in house and for this reason I don't think it's worth it. I saw the De Cecco packages. I guess when they keep alluding to it being made in house, they mean it's boiled in house. If you decide to go, and don't care that it's not fresh pasta and wanna hop on the gnocchi on 9th train, I recommend the gnocchi alla vodka over the pomodoro.

I've never seen a place that was so hyped up by influencers that was so BAD. The gnocchi that they call "imported" is just some ready made garbage that looks to be frozen. The food is flavorless, it's WAY overpriced and I legit had to throw half of it out it was so bad - DO NOT RECOMMEND

This place gave provide a quick effective lunch. This should have been in New York for some time. I have no clue how they can do this in NYC for these prices.

Great little spot in my neighborhood. The takeout containers are fun and easy to eat, and in addition to an overall great concept, the gnocchi is yummy and surprisingly filling. Will be making this a staple on our weekend dog walks!

We saw this while walking around St. Marks for dinner and stopped in to grab a portion to try. For $10 a portion, the price isn't bad when you think about food in NYC. However, I was underwhelmed with the flavors and texture of the gnocchi itself. The Pomodoro had a sour aftertaste and it was only saved by the Parmesan and chili flakes that were sprinkled on top. The gnocchi is not homemade and tastes like the same ready to make ones you can buy from TJ's. Conceptually, the shop extremely cute, eye-catching and fun since it specializes in only one thing and you walk out with a little container to eat on the go. The staff are also friendly but I wouldn't get it a second time.

What an amazing little gem this is in the east village. It's a wonderful taste of old Italy. Who would have thought a portion of gnocchi which is a pasta/potato mix with a delicious red sauce would be so satisfying as you walk through this great neighborhood. Get it with the burrata and some extra parm! Don't miss this yummy treat.

This place is just fine. I felt a little misled by the homemade lore. It's packaged gnocchi that they just boil and add sauce to. Save yourself the $10 and buy the ingredients at Whole Foods instead.

Ordered gnocchi alla vodka con blk truffle burrata. Must say this was mediocre. My friend ordered the gnocchi alla vodka con burrata. We both thought this was not worth the hype. We were hungry yet did not feel like finishing even half the small portion. The sauce was not flavorful, the gnocchi was unimpressive and the whole meal was sad. The vibes inside were off. The owners were unwelcoming. Would never come back. We could make gnocchi better than this.

Friendly staff, great prices, and delicious gnocchi. I ordered the gnocchi a la vodka for $10 and added burrata for $3. You can't find prices like that in NYC these days. After each bite I looked out the window of my East Village apartment and felt like I was in Venice. Do yourself a favor and give this spot a try!

NOT FRESH- the pasta is De Cecco packaged pasta, and the ladies at the front were just opening packages and boiling them in front of the window. The wait time was long but not unbearable, but I wouldn't go out of my way to try this place. Save your $$ and just make it at home with the same packaged pasta.

Ive been seeing this place pop up on my instagram constantly, so hats off to the person in charge of social media for this place. Being an Italian-American, the thought of this place was intriguing. The concepy is simple, gnocchi (for those that dont know is potato pasta) 2 sauce options and the options to put burrata on top (creamy mozzerella) - I thought it was good and the $10 price is also so smart. Doesnt seem like alot and is easy to eat (served in chinese take out containers) The owner of this place is so brilliant and I want to meet him to talk about how smart the idea for this place is and the way he executed it. Such a simple idea and it works. I parked my car and sat for an hour and the traffic in and out od this place was beyond impressive. Will be back again and definitely worth a visit. Great to see and taste new ideas like this happening in NYC.
