"The 100-plus employees of Go Get Em Tiger (GGET) and G&B Coffee have filed a petition to unionize with IBEW Local 45. GGET is known for its eight LA retail coffee shops and warehouse. The company has grown rapidly since being founded by Kyle Glanville and Charles Babinski, expanding into multiple locations across Southern California, including Culver City, Larchmont Village, Highland Park, and Los Feliz. The union seeks worker protections and aims to address workplace issues such as hazardous conditions and discrimination." - Matthew Kang

"Go Get Em Tiger is basically a chain now, with six locations from Larchmont to the Arts District, but the best one for when you want to work - or to stare at the blinking cursor on your Rick and Morty spec script - is the Highland Park location. Its patio is back off the road in the same complex as Triple Beam Pizza, and though it gets crowded on weekends, it’s definitely quiet enough to get work done on weekdays." - Brett Keating

"Go Get Em Tiger is once again doing its annual Thanksgiving coffee bonanza, popping up with a slew of one-off menu items meant to recreate some of the more egregious caffeinated drinks found at other, larger chains. This year’s menu will include a pumpkin spice latte, peppermint mocha, an eggnog latte, and more, with proceeds going to the Downtown Women’s Center. The main party this year will happen at GGET’s Highland Park location on Figueroa, and will also include face painting, a petting zoo, and a DIY snow globe station. Hours run Thursday, November 22 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m." - Farley Elliott

Super cute and trendy coffee shop and cafe. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Didn’t try the food, but the baked goods looked delicious. Got a cappuccino. It’s served in a satisfyingly heavy glass. The milk was perfectly pulled with velvety micro foam. The shot left something to be desired. I forgot to check where their beans are from, but I wasn’t impressed. It tastes very lightly of milk chocolate with a slight tang, but without the accompanying fruitiness I expect with a lighter roast. The finish tasted like old, wet grounds. None of the toffee or nuttiness I like in a darker roast, but also none of the more herbal notes you get from a tangier espresso. There’s a nice little seating area in the back, but it’s better for a brunch date than to work on a screenplay. Solid third wave coffee with hopefully just a bad day on the espresso machine.

Google
Egg feta toast & protein breakie are staples in my diet. So good. Favorite meal in LA The cilantro, mint, and dill on the egg feta toast with the chili oil and whipped feta is just out of this world. Every part of this toast is amazing. Thank you for making it! Delicious.

Google
Quirky food offerings, expertly prepared. Very, very solid. Good coffee... expensive experience (noticed they just raised some prices, which are beginning to cusp to San Francisco standards), but high quality. Open air seating only. They have a strange policy of keeping the sugar and cream for coffee behind the counter. A bit irritating. Just put it out where everyone can see it — where everyone has access to it.

Google
I love this cheery cafe in Highland Park! The staff are extremely friendly and quick at preparing your order. The Business and Pleasure is my go-to order on the weekends - it comes with a house fizzy hoppy tea, espresso shot, and latte. The pastry selection here is top notch. My favorite is the lemon mochi muffin which is super flavorful and has a nice texture. Tons of GGET branded merch and other coffee related things as well. There’s a bunch of patio seating in front of the cafe to enjoy your food/drinks.

Google
just a miserably mediocre place with disengaged staff, bland coffee and food that will give you a stomach ache. go to highly likely or kitchen mouse instead! way way way better places all over Fig that are worth supporting!

Google
This place is ok, I normally love their drink selection. However, my issue is the music that gets played here, I am Black and most of times I’ve been buying here, I am the only Black person (staff included); however the last 3 times I was in there I was forced to hear the N word repeatedly via the shop played. I was very uncomfortable the first time, confused the 2nd time, And now angered at the third time. Please start playing the edited/radio version or please stop playing these harmful songs. Highly offensive and unsafe. Please make this change Immediately!

Google
! I went to order coffee today at the highland park location, and I sat down on a bench to wait bc they were busy with other orders. I tried to be polite and wait until the staff were done. I sat down on the bench. They helped another DoorDash driver that came in after me. The barista didn’t say anything to me so I just waited. Then I finally asked if I could order she started making someone else’s drink. They said you can order anywhere at the counter in a bit of a Condescending tone, and I asked why she didn’t say anything. They was a little rude and told me I should have come up to the counter. I’m so confused by the interaction. It felt very rude. I have only had good customer service at this location before this time.

Google
Cute cafe in Highland Park. Coffee was ok nothing special. Almond milk is made in house but I didn’t like the flavor. Avocado toast $16.50!! Fancy looking toast. Prices are a little too much.

Dale U.

Yelp
I love coming to this coffee shop, it's so nice to sit on their street side outroor patio in beautiful Highland Park and enjoy a nice breakfast with coffee. The cold brew is really good and tastes freshly made. The overnight oats are really tasty as well, it's made with coconut milk and cinnamon. And the consistency is perfect, not super thick nor runny. The staff are really nice too and make everything to order. A cool local coffee shop!

Narbe V.

Yelp
What happened to the portion sizes? I got the protein brekkie and it came with 30-40% egg then normal. Won't go back

Alisa M.

Yelp
Unfortunately- the iced macadamia latte was probably one of the worst lattes I've ever had. I'm not sure if it is the result of their almond milk, their brewing process, I have no clue but it tastes sour and is not palatable at all. Very disappointing when you spend $7 on a latte and cannot drink it :( Perhaps there are other menu items that are better, but I expected a signature drink to be delicious. I also ordered an heirloom half bagel on an everything one. This was good, it was topped with dill and I enjoyed this. Their service was kind and friendly- but not enough to make me enjoy my drink. This place is small, and would be ideal for grabbing a coffee to go but - maybe try another drink- or elsewhere.

Steven P.

Yelp
As the only coffee shop in the Row DTLA, I was hoping this place would be half descent, but it was in fact a huge disappointment :( The iced matcha latte tasted like chalky, bitter green water. Absolutely no matcha flavor with a gross after taste that was highway robbery at $8. One person took my order at the counter and communicated the order to another person. Nothing happened after several minutes, so they had to communicate the drink a second time. Mind you, there were 2 customers in the whole store at the time including myself. ------- When you first walk in it seems like such a vibe but after a few minutes the vibe dies from the loud music and the lackluster drink

Peter P.

Yelp
A solid morning spot. Really great coffee/tea/ drinks choices. very cute spot with nice friendly staff. Got a coffee and a breakfast sando, all very good for the price. The sando was nice on the brioche bun, egg nice a soft fluffy.

Xiouping C.

Yelp
This place is bomb. Fast delicious kind service. Love the protein breakie,, macadamia latte

Sarin P.

Yelp
This is a very nostalgic spot for my partner and I. We used to sneak away their takeout for breakfast during Covid and it holds a little cute place in my heart. Their avocado sandwich is quite possibly one of my favorites in LA. I love the pickled veggies or onions that come on the side. The protein brekkie is also a favorite. I appreciate that they offer a simple, straight forward latte although sometimes I wish I could switch it up for a vanilla flavor. Lots of cute merch in the store as well! Parking can be challenging but you're bound to find a meter somewhere.

matthew m.

Yelp
Pretty hit or miss, sometimes my the americano is great, sometimes way too sour. They seem to close early randomly in the afternoon, and the fact that they got rid of the larger tables and awnings means I go there a lot less.

Seb F.

Yelp
Nice warm Latte Banana Nut Bread made fresh daily and flown in from somewhere in the city .... Then we sit outside and act cool This is where the cool kids hang Peace

Daniel F.

Yelp
Heard if this place and being a coffee lover decided to try.... And won't come back!!!! My coffee was good, no complaints Chocolate chip cookie with salt (sea salt ??) Never had a chocolate chip cookie with salt, decided to try, and I can say it's NOT worth it Salt overpowered the sweetness My wife thought the coffee was just OK (almond macadamia latte)... Now they forgot to make it for my wife, and when my wife said something (about 10 min after we ordered), they made the drink... maybe they rushed to make her drink, idk... but said it was OK Service was ok, I guess Street parking, good luck It's not worth spending my money here... place ain't cheap for a coffee.. (but what place is cheap now a days) If you go... enjoy...

Jamila C.

Yelp
I ordered an Iced Honey Matcha Latte and it tasted like watery juiced grass. $8 down the drain. Tasted no honey. I was suggested to add simple syrup. It didn't help much at all. So I drank it cuz I paid for it but this was definitely a 1st & last time for me.

Justin C.

Yelp
I've been by this place quite a few times when going to triple beam but never stopped in. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Julia in particular offered me a sample of the coffees when I asked them their preference between the colombian and the ethiopian which was nice. I love comparing two things next to each other. Ultimately went with the ethiopian which wasn't as acidic and had a bit of earthy chocolatiness to it. They serve their espresso with a hoppy fizzy tea as a palate cleanser which I thought was pretty cool. I saw a dude get it... pretty aesthetic. Two Gibraltar glasses on a small wooden serving tray and my curiosity was piqued so I asked him what it was... he ended up letting me have it which is why I actually stumbled inside to ask them about it. It tasted reminiscent of chrysanthemum tea sweeted with honey but it has neither of those things in it. Anyways. This place is going to be my go to anytime i go get Triple Beam. I don't get why it has such a low rating on yelp. haters. Let's be real. its 2023. A drink anywhere is going to cost $5-7. You don't want to pay $7 for hot chocolate? Make it at home. Who gets hot chocolate anywhere anyways?

Sarah G.

Yelp
This location is pleasant. Bright. Mellow. Service with a smile. They don't have designated parking. The person at the register suggested a drink and I thank her for the recommendation. I liked the iced almond-macadamia nut latte. Mayyyybe shoulda gotten sweetener. It was a tough call. Still great. It wasn't filled to the brim tho. Not sure why. I ordered 'light ice' (which was perfect amount of ice IMO) to have more milk.

clea b.

Yelp
Just had the WORST iced latte I have ever had here. Tasted like milk, NO coffee flavor at all, I threw it out even though it cost over $6! Will NEVER come back, do yourself a favor and walk down the street to Civil Coffee where they have great coffee.

Heidi V.

Yelp
This place is a gem! Food: 10/10 Coffee: 10/10 Customer service: 10/10 Music: 10/10 (But a little pricey hehe)

Jasmine S.

Yelp
A nice LA coffee chain, where you can buy pastries, coffee drinks, bags of coffee, and some espresso machines. Received very friendly service and got a nice macadamia latte.

Micaela F.

Yelp
Good customer service and delicious food .. Angel the server was friendly and able to have patience of taking the order especially it was your first time... I will recommend this place..

K Z.

Yelp
I have had lots of breakfast burritos, when I'm around the area, I always come here for this. Although it's $15, but hey, everything is expensive these days, might as well pay for the best.

Mariselle M.

Yelp
Really digging the flavor of this Los Idolos, Colombia (Decaf)! Round, smooth notes and the beans have a matte instead of oily finish wc I prefer w medium roasts. Great for pour overs. Nice GGET ;-)

Miranda M.

Yelp
Quaint shop nestled in the midst of other great business. I ordered the almond macadamia latte hot with a tad bit of sweetener. All I gotta say is amazing!!! The flavor alongside the velvety espresso put the much needed pep in my step. The staff here are so nice and literally style goals!! Parking is not the best but loop around a couple times and I'm sure you'll find a spot. There's seating in the back if you do plan to stick around and enjoy sipping on your coffee.

Tyson B.

Yelp
This is some of the best coffee in the Los Angeles area, and this particular location has great ambiance and friendly staff. The coffee beans are freshly roasted and it's a perfect place to grab a bag of single origin.

Art C.

Yelp
One of those places that likes to pour the sugar for you. The barista poured too much sugar syrup into ours and ruined our coffee. Stop doing that... Totally annoying, totally ruined...

Edward S.

Yelp
Today, I woke up with a serious need for caffeine to start the week. I placed an order online, then found metered parking out front. Look for the flashing green light for meters with time left. GGET is in a cool shared space with Triple Beam Pizza and Hippo. At the window, you tell them your name and you're good to go. The icy Almond Macadamia Latte hits the spot on a hot morning. On your first sip, the nutty aromas of the almonds and macademias race to your tastebuds. For some reason I imagine magic elves smashing almonds and macadamias with mallets. The coffee beans have been expertly roasted making this an exceptional coffee beverage.

Sarai S.

Yelp
Their iced macadamia latte is my go to. Their drinks definitely have me set for the day getting so many things accomplished.

Andreas K.

Yelp
Since coffee is so central to a great start into the day, a good match to our Rocket Espresso machine seems appropriate. Go Get Em Tiger has all kinds of indoor/outdoor and to go food items, but my main reason to go there is to buy their coffee beans. Minor Monuments is the favorite, but decaf options are delicious too and provide a nice rounded flavor. It's not cheap but worth it.

Candace L.

Yelp
It's been a minute since I've had my Go Get 'Em fix, as soon as I spotted them still open I bee lined for the door and ordered an oat cappuccino. It was a chilly evening on the patio and I was dressed for summer (other than my jacket that the sweetest cashier complimented) so needed a little something to keep warm. Service was exceptional, drink was perfection as per the usual.

Fearced _.

Yelp
If I could I'll give a 0 star rating. The drinks are good, but what got me frustrated was the service, because they served the people who where walking in after me. Mind you I ordered around 2:30sh and they give me my drinks after 20 minutes. But they where serving the regulars on the spot and ignoring me. Very very bad experience never coming again.

S Y.

Yelp
Ugh, this filthy hipster place can't get their act together. SUCH bait and switch!! The menu board above their heads says "Hot Chocolate $5.50" The dirty, stained, paper menu on the counter says, "Salted Hot Chocolate $6.50" The bill? $7.75! ‍ It's a drink, so I'm not leaving my email for a receipt and I'm not making them print one, but when I get my drink and ask the ditzy person about the math, her response is, "Oh, don't worry, we'll change the sign." No offer to correct my bill. She basically charged me 7.00 plus tax. Has this business heard of the Department of Ways and Means? Enjoy your tip, cheaters. Bet you are not in business for long. If not for your bad math skills, or your rip off prices, then for the fact that this place is not clean, they don't wash their hands, utensils are used multiple times, just ew. ‍

Gitana D.

Yelp
This place is rad. I always get the bacon egg and cheese sandwich but replace the bacon w avocado and it's AMAZING. The coffee always hits the spot. The staff are also rad and friendly af. GO HERE.

Rebecca B.

Yelp
Together we got an iced latte, iced almond macadamia latte, iced honey matcha latte, and a black tea. To eat we got the jamy egg whipped feta toast and focaccia. Service was really good and quick. The food and drinks were simply good! Nothing incredibly special but I feel like you can't go wrong getting a coffee/breakfast from here.

Yuki C.

Yelp
Everyone is super friendly! We ordered a dirty chai latte w/ oat milk + turmeric latte w/ almond milk. We liked the turmeric latte the best... the dirty chai was a little on the bitter/ strong side! But of course if you enjoy that kind of taste, it was still yummy and worth trying out.

Juliet U.

Yelp
My first time here and I am impressed. I love the atmosphere of this place. Great for breakfast and hanging out with friends. They have ample amount of seating indoors and outdoors. The vibe is chill and relaxing. The staff are super nice and friendly. We opted for their breakfast burrito and it was bomb, packed with alot of flavor and highly recommend it. We also ordered the tumeric almond macadamia and it was just A-OK. Nothing too exciting and it came in a small glass and it was pricey. Prices here can be a little overpriced. Other than that, the place is pretty hip and a great addition to HLP.

Robin S.

Yelp
Not your run of the mill avocado toast! Mixing pieces of Meyer lemons in the avocado with heaping amount of Cilantro, topped with chive oil and just took this popular, yet overrated dish to a whole new level! Although it took over 20 minutes to get our two toasts, service was warm and friendly. Would definitely come back here again when I come back to L.A.

Frances Katherine M.

Yelp
OMG their Bacon, Egg and Cheese was so good! I'm a fan! Will definitely order it again.

Kate Lý J.

Yelp
Iced matcha was a little underwhelming. I didn't try the food so my review is not comprehensive, but I probably wouldn't.

Emilea N.

Yelp
Great coffee and delicious pastries. Very pricey - but no more than any other coffee shop (with good coffee) would cost. Friendly staff and good service

So L.

Yelp
Have you tried the tumeric drink?? I first tried it in larchmont ggt and fell in love with this drink. I like it cold but my husband likes the hot one. It has an acquired taste but once you are hooked you'll crave it! I also enjoy their breakfast burrito. I tried both the one with the bacon and the bean one. I always enjoy meat so you know which one I likes more. Im personally not a big fan of the salsa but if you like it, yay! Im so glad this place is close to me. There are a lot of street parking in this hood so dont worry! Despite the pandemic, this place doesnt have a big space for sitdown. Very limited and not so workfriendly environment so i recommend taking out food and eat it at a near by park. L Currently, they accept orders thru their app. So make sure you download it. During regular/not so busy time the order takes about 10-15 mins. People there are super sweet and nice! You'll enjoy visiting!

Deku S.

Yelp
Good drinks, but PLEASE someone take note of this Pre mixed chai does not need sugar, you can always ADD sugar to it! It's wayy too sweet. Their other location used to not add sugar and it was a win win, never too sweet unless you wanted it to be. I dont eAt sugar but i took a chance and its a waste of money cus my mouth feels gross and i want to brush my teeth.

Mista B.

Yelp
Introducing the $17.00 burrito plus tax and tip.... "F" that. Jesus! It's a burrito not fine dining. Yes I added avocado and egg whites but $17.00 for a freaking burrito is sacrilegious. I sat outside and ate slowly, feeling a bit more molested every time I took a bite. I eat out all the time. I don't mind spending my cash on a great meal but the burrito was more like an anorexic taco. Next time I'll stick to the Monte 52 market.

Kelsey H.

Yelp
Came in for a quick breakfast snack. I had the waffle which was actually very good. I loved how crispy it was and the fruit was good. It was a little overpriced for what it was, but it was a decent portion, I actually took some of it with me. It's a small place with seating that seems shared by the other restaurants in the plaza. I would try it again!

JuJu L.

Yelp
Had a really good experience here. Will be back again! THE GOOD + FRIENDLY AF. Honestly the people here were so friendly for it being 9AM on a Monday. Genuinely making conversation and being friendly to each other and checking on people. + CUTE. I'm a sucker for nice design and cute tchotchkes. Some merch for sale. + GOOD OPTIONS. Pretty solid run stereotypical drinks, but also had some interesting choices like macadamia nut almond latte. + FOOD! They actually have both pastries, breakfast sandwiches, and full on breakfast plates! I had the breakfast sandwich and it was solid. THE BAD - SHOO. Maybe not the best place to linger during rush hours. Max occupancy is *maybe* 20 people outside and in.

Kim H.

Yelp
GGET LA introduced me to alternative milks through its almond macadamia latte and, more recently, the oat milk latte. The oat milk is made in-house so it's not your typical branded oat milk. In a nutshell, even if you aren't lactose intolerant or vegan, alternative milks can profoundly change the delicate characteristics of coffee and espresso. The patio space at this location is neat. Ample seating and a little hideaway from the busyness of Figueroa Street. GGET Pantry has been a real blessing. The product offerings go beyond the staple foods and offer glimpses of hope that normalcy may be closer than we think! The banana nut bread has been the highlight of my quarantine period. Though, why do the quarantined masses seek out to bake banana bread with such great fervor? Well, that's totally bananas! Anyway, this one is super legit and vegan - banana, macadamia, rice bran oil, shredded coconut! And, if your life feels like it is falling faster apart than a Nature Valley Granola Bar, crunch away your worries with the GGET Pecan Granola!

Megan R.

Yelp
Really dig this place for working. They've got free, passwordless wifi, great coffee, and ample seating. I'll note that the seating isn't entirely indoors which, because it's LA, is totally fine almost all of the time. There were a couple days this summer that I found myself pretty warm and I can imagine it gets chilly in the winter, but I'm not one to complain about our almost perfect weather in Southern California. The space is shared with Triple Beam (my favorite pizza in LA) and Hippo--also just a very hip part of HLP. I usually just stick with the coffee and cold brew here, both of which I like. I've gotten the Business & Pleasure one as well which has three little fun coffee and tea drinks, but honestly is maybe overkill for my needs. They've got some breakfast-y foods that I haven't tried (because pizza), but it's nice to know they're available. Parking is easy and free on the side streets off Figueroa. Lovely addition to the neighborhood!

g h.

Yelp
I am not usually a fan of English muffins but for some reason I ordered one. It came with a big dollop of nice butter and jam, which I was really hoping for. I think I must never have had a real English muffin before because this was so delicious- perfectly toasted and soft! Not at all like the kind that come from the orange package! I would come back just for this!

Jared S.

Yelp
Honestly really love this place and have been going here since they opened in my neighborhood. I take friends here and meetings as well. I rave about it. So this review comes from a place of pain and wish I didn't have to do this. Took a friend from out of town here today and realized all the prices went up in the past week - and not just a little bit but A LOT A BIT. Overnight oats which were already on the steep side at $6.5 are now $8. The protein brekkie which was also already a bit high for eggs and bacon is $13 now and $3.5 for toast. The biscuit literally was $6 and now it's $7. For a biscuit!! All the drinks went up in price too. $6.25 for business and pleasure now from $5.5 Tea went from $4 to $5. As someone who frequents this place weekly it's a shame to see prices go up again and again and there is a cost benefit analyses here - is it worth the price? And today the overnight oats which are now $1.5 more expensive were missing toppings... I know they just opened up a store in The Arts District but I think as a neighborhood coffee shop these prices are too high and it makes it hard for me to rationalize spending $8 for overnight oats or $11 for a breakfast sandwich. Highland Park isn't Beverly Hills. It isn't even the arts district. Hard to rave about a place that keeps increasing their prices on their customers every few months

Sevana W.

Yelp
I've been working my way down a list of the best coffee shops in LA and finally got around to Go Get Em Tiger. I'd heard that their iced almond milk macadamia latte was voted the best in the US, so with that review in mind, I had to try it. I guess it just...didn't hit the spot for me? It wasn't remotely sweet and the macadamia milk added an unpleasant bitter aftertaste that I really was not a fan of. The service was great, though, so I'd think about coming back to maybe try another drink or one of their breakfast options.

Courtney H.

Yelp
Go Get Em Tigers has a few locations in LA. I visited the one on Figueroa Street in Highland Park. Parking is quite challenging. You will have to drive around the area. We found a metered spot in a small parking lot - the entrance is on S Avenue 58. It was a five minute walk to GGET. The coffee shop is right next to Triple Beam Pizza. They share the hallway - GGET is on the right side. There are a few benches in the front and additional seating available in the back area. The space is bright and very welcoming! GGET offers almond macadamia milk for hot and cold drinks and oat milk for cold drinks only. The barista mentioned that they are still perfecting the oat milk and currently, it doesn't froth as much as they want it to. He was super friendly and let us sample both milk options. Almond Macadamia Latte (Hot) * Latte art was beautiful * Nut milk was so creamy and smooth * Espresso (Minor Monuments mixed with decaf Los Idolos) was quite sour / acidic but not bitter Overall, I'm nuts about the almond macadamia milk! However, I didn't have a latte feelings for the espresso. I think getting it half decaf was a bad move - the flavor profile wasn't a good combination.

Josh D.

Yelp
This was our first time going to Go Get Em Tiger and my wife and I were both blown away by good it was. The lattes they brought out first were the best we both have ever had. Then they brought out an amazing breakfast. I had the chorizo burrito and my wife had the protein breakfast, my son had the strawberry muffin. This place is amazing. Would definitely recommend to anybody.

Hallie B.

Yelp
Coffee and food is good but very expensive. My main advice is to avoid the almond milk. They make their own and sadly it is very gross and ruins it every drink it's a park of
