The Best All-You-Can-Eat Restaurants in Houston | Eater Houston

"Hearty and healthy, shabu shabu, the ever-popular Japanese hot pot dining experience, is a great option for groups and families looking for an interactive and communal dining experience. Choose a soup base, like miso, curry, or spicy bone broth, and pick an assortment of meats ranging from pork belly, New Zealand lamb leg, or beef brisket to boil. Finish off this bubbling cauldron of goodness with noodles, vegetables, and seafood options then watch it simmer."

Google
Good selection of meat, except they are very thinly sliced. The table is rather small for 4 pots, not enough space for all the food. The soups were great, we had tonkatsu and tom yum. Good selection of seafood and veggies as well.

Google
Ok , I am a super fan of hot pot places and this one did not disappoint!!! I was greeted gracefully by the host. He made sure the seat he got me was ok with me and Mason my server was fantastic. I think he read my flavor pallet as I was asking for the types of meats and soup base and he was on point, their veggie and seafood selection is really good. Thank you team Go Shabu for the great experience Faves for today : Soup base : pork flavor Meats: #1 short rib and #6 brisket Veggies : so many but the faves today, Squash, 3 types of mushrooms , Napa cabbage 😋, bean sprouts, carrots, corn, bamboo. For flavor Cilantro Garlic Green onion Sauces : Peanut sauce 😋 Hoisin Chili oil Awesome fruit selection as well 🙌🙌 Simply tasty

Google
Been here 3x and it's a good place. Especially since there's no other hotpot spots in the area.

Google
Awesome place! We usually drive up to Houston for hot pot, but wanted to try somewhere closer to home. Soup base was delicious! And the meat was good quality for what we paid. Large selection of things to add to the soup. We came in right before closing time, and we did not feel rushed. Our server was really nice. He even set some extra soup to the side for us in the back, in case we decided we wanted more after closing time.

Google
Was super impressed with this hotpot place! I went for the $18.99 lunch buffet on a Tuesday and I was not disappointed! There was no wait time to be seated, and there weren’t too many people there. You can see just how fresh everything was and the staff were constantly refilling the bar. I ordered the tomato soup base and it was pretty good. For the lunch buffet, there are only 5 meat options available, but they are tasty and thinly cut, which is just how I like. My favorite to order was the beef brisket and pork belly. At the bar, they had so many options to choose from, including a TON of seafood. My faves from the bar were definitely the dumplings, pumpkin, bok choy, and tofu. I tried a little bit of everything and it was so worth it. There’s also a good array of sauces for dipping the meat in, which is great. Don’t forget dessert at the end: freshly cut fruit or 4 different flavors of ice cream!! Will definitely be coming back again!

Google
I loved it here, definitely left with a full belly (maybe too full) will be coming back It’s all you can eat at a set price, the meats are brought to you by the waiter and you get them as you go, the additional stuff like shrimp, noodles, crab legs, bamboo shoots etc are obtained from the bar at your own convenience and amount. The only thing I’m not a fan of is the space on the table. I do recommend this place

Google
I think the food is excellent. I enjoyed myself every time I go. I love taking a friend because it's a new experience of enjoying Japanese food. I recommend this place especially fair price. Good food quality ingredients.

Google
About $35 a person after tip for dinner. I have to admit this place was good. Everything including the vegetable 🍆🥒 I never eaten before. One of my favorite items was the pork dumplings. They have way too many fresh options to choose from. Seafood Mushroom 🍄. This was my first time eating this. I was impressed 👍😁 They have many sauces to choose from. The sauces are just right and not to thick. My favorite was the ginger. The Hot 🔥 Pot 🍲 cooks food very fast. It was a cool experience. The meat 🍖🥓 was amazing. I want to say it is better than the seafood choices they had. The only thing I didn't like was the shrimp 🦐. It is Farm Raised. The Oyster 🦪 were delicious The octopus 🐙 takes longer to cook than the rest of the food. I will definitely be back.

Yelp
Food was on point. Service was good. Ambiance was stellar. They have a badass selection of fresh meats, seafood and produce. My sister & I picked the Japanese curry bone broth. It had a slight kickancoconut after taste. Delicious. Service was very nice. Our server was very kind, professional and patient. My sister asked a lot io questions. Lol he answered all of them flawlessly, so extra points for being knowledgeable about menu and recommendations. I love how clean it was in there! They always had someone checking, refreshing and cleaning everywhere. Clean restrooms and parking lot. My sister said strawberry ice cream was good, but green tea was lacking? Idk. I couldn't taste, burned my mouth on my second boil. Smelt good though! Lol

Yelp
Great setup and excellent customer service. The selection of food is great. You will not be disappointed. That being said, the below comment is a none food or ambiance related feedback. I noticed a few tables where the wires to the heater/hot plate are dangling down. For safety purpose, please tie down the wires to avoid electrocution. All things considered; come, eat, enjoy and be joyful. Joyful because their music selection is nice.

Yelp
An amazing Ayce hot pot place!! First time visiting and loved the experience in every way! Service was amazing; our waiter explained eveyerthing in detail and was very patient. We came for dinner and opted for the ayce option! They had so many different vegetables to choose from, as well as sauces and proteins! The meat tastes so fresh, as did the vegetables! Workers consistently came to our table to clear out any empty dishes. Really loved the ice cream for dessert- tried every flavor and my favorites were oreo and green tea! The restaurant itself is very intimate and relaxing. It's great for groups of all sizes, as well as dates. Parking is really easy with a lot right outside. 11/10 recommend, especially on a cold day

Yelp
Loved its buffet table that has so many choices of seafood and fresh veggies. The sauces unfortunately were all on the sweet side which for someone who does not like sweets is a negative. Otherwise it is a great place.

Yelp
Service is always very good, staff is very nice. The food in the buffet is always fresh and there is a large variety of things to add into your soup base. Great date night spot. There is sometimes a wait but the staff is generally pretty quick about turnaround times. Overall really like this place, and 100% recommend for everyone at least once.
google avatar

Yelp
Buffet style, all you can eat - variety of broths for each customer, and waitress will bring your choice of proteins 'till your stuffed. Well stocked buffet, ingredients are absolutely fresh, with a wide variety for any palate. Loads of noodles, veggies, and seafood. They even have a box of gloves so you can prep your food (if needed) without getting it all over your hands. Very friendly service, waitress explained how everything worked, and was on the spot with drink and protein refills. Menu also had all the info you needed, including suggested cooking times for the various items. Good spot for a leisurely meal with friends, family!

Yelp
Absolutely wonderful experience at my first time at Go Shabu! We ate there for lunch, I think it was about $15 a person which given the quality and quantity of food options I'm not sure how its possible! The service was friendly, waiter was extremely informative and patient with my inexperience, and we had a absolutely delicious experience. I got a small amount of everything I wanted to try and almost couldn't finish it, much less think about getting seconds. It's so easy to oversubscribe to food selections, I understand their "waste surcharge" or whatever they called it if you took much more than you eat. I somehow forgot to get a picture of the buffet but it was gorgeous! SO MANY food options, noodles, vegetables, seafood, just over abundance and it all seemed fresh, clean ,etc. no part of me was skeptical about food safety, and as I've gotten older I tend to look at that more :) As far as meats, they let you pick 3, you can see it in the bottom of my photo, there are three stacked plates. They are shaved super thin and at first don't seem like much food but if you finish it they'll refill them per request. They seem very generous, its just about not wasting massive amounts of food. We honestly almost forgot about the meats given how many other foods we got, and how delicious they were!

Yelp
I had low expectations coming to this place but I was really surprised. It's an all you can eat shabu which I was excited about. My husband and I came here for dinner with his coworkers. It was $22.99/person for dinner but for both of us we paid a total of around $66 including gratuity since we had 11 people in our group. I ordered the go shabu spicy broth and my husband ordered the sukiyaki (vegetarian) broth. Both broths were delicious! You have to order the meats (beef, pork, lamb) and bowl of rice from your server but they are pretty fast at giving it to you. The seafood, sauces, and vegetables are on the buffet table so you can easily get that once you get your broth. They also have ice cream that you can scoop it out yourself. The meats, seafood, and sauces were great. The service was great also. Overall, this place is great and I recommend it.

Yelp
Love love love this place!!!! It's definitely on par with the other hot pot places in bellaire, yet it's close and local to Webster without the traffic! We always have such a great time and leave with our bellies full and happy. Service is always on point and they are quick to bring your meats out and refill your broths for you. The broths that we like to get are the sukiyaki and go shabu spicy. We've tried their tomato broth and it was pretty good too, but a little too sweet and ketchup-y for me. I like my meats on the fattier and richer side so during lunch my favorite meat to get is their brisket (#6) and during dinner my favorite is the akaushi beef short rib (#1) and certified angus beef strip (#3). The meats cook very quickly. it's Always fresh and melts in your mouth. Their seafood bar is also pretty on point, they offer shrimp, squid, octopus, crab, mussels, clam, scallops, oyster and tilapia. My favorite to get is usually the clams, mussels and scallops. I don't think it's necessary to make a dipping sauce because their broth is usually on point and flavorful, but I like to mix their ginger sauce, sate, and add fresh garlic. Their fresh fruit bar is always full and supplied with freshly cut/picked fruit. It's a great after meal snack and pairs great with the all you can eat ice cream. We've been here a handful of times and will definitely be back many more times in the near future!

Yelp
This was my first time having Japanese hot pot as I have only tried Chinese hot pot. The broth wasn't as flavorful as I would have liked. I had the Go Shabu spicy broth with chicken breast slices & pork belly. The pork belly was the better of the two but not so flavorful. I mixed my own custom sauce to dip my meat in so that was good. The topping selection was fine. The desert ice cream was a nice finish to the meal. Overall, I just wish the broth had more spices & flavors.

Yelp
Ambiance is casual, service is great, our waitress took care of us. The food is delicious, regardless of what you choose. The meats are all great. I recommend coming here especially if you are a meat eater. It's worth the money especially at lunch for $18.99
google avatar

Yelp
This has become one of my favorite hot pot spots! It's close to home, their service is always good, and the food is always fresh. They have individual pots for your party, so you can each choose your own broth; tonkotsu, miso, curry, tomato, sukiyaki, go shabu spicy, and really the only items you order at the table are your drinks, broth, and meats. Everything else such as your sauce, veggies, noodles, seafood, will be at the bar buffet style. They have a wide variety of it all. Their items are always fresh at the bar and they are very good at keeping it clean. I genuinely enjoy coming here for my hot pot cravings, and I've never had to wait a long time to be seated. Highly recommended in the Webster area!
google avatar

Yelp
One of the BEST AYCE hot pot places I ever been too! It is an all you can eat for only $25 per person and I am LIVING on the shrimp and soft shell crab! The seafood is so fresh and the shrimps are so big! They have a wide variety of buffet options such as fresh ramen noodle, veggies, dumplings and of course their seafood selection. The meat however you have to order as part of the AYCE and you can only do 3 plates per round of order. I am disappointed in the meat because they were sliced paper thin and came out in super small portions. Although you can order again its just not great to eat small bits of meat every time. Overall, service was super friendly and welcoming. They always made sure we had what we needed and checked in on us frequently. I enjoyed this place a lot : )
google avatar

Andrew W.

Yelp
Food quantity is good! Service is nice and the vibe is awesome. If you love to eat a lot then this place is a good place for you! For two hours you can have unlimited! :) About 1/2 of things are meat and seafoods so there's a limit for vegetarian but still you can get some noodles and veggies! :)

Emily T.

Yelp
Great food and service. Highly recommend for a great hot pot meal. Dinner had more meat options.

Yelp
So yummy!!! Highly recommend little pricey for my kids and I we eat like birds but still very yummy

Yelp
The popularity of Go Shabu revolves around a number of things: the love of Asian cuisine, all you can eat anything, the hole that is the Japanese food scene, and the fact it's in Clear Lake. No one is here for the authenticity (#1), they're here for the deal. And all things considered, it's a great setup and a fun experience. Whether it's lunch or dinner, it's a safe assumption there's going to be a wait, especially during peak service times. There is a good amount of seating but best for small groups. The bathrooms are clean, the parking is plentiful and their wait staff is slow at times due to the rush, but works very hard. If there was a go-to broth, it would easily be their tonkotsu pork broth followed closely by their curry broth. The latter has a little coconut milk mixed with beef broth and just enough kick for a nice flavor. The limit for each order is 3 plates, so strategize accordingly. I tend to order as much akaushi short rib or ribeye as I can. A few rounds of the buffet for seafood and sauces are necessary, just beware of the crowd. Sometimes the sauce bar gets a little filthy, but that's to be expected. Finish the meal with some red bean or green tea ice cream for a solid dessert. I think this place is a solid option for any occasion and certainly a good place to get a good fill of food for a decent price. The rule of buffets applies here: the best deal is lunch, but the best options are at dinner. ___________ (#1) Japanese cuisine is a near oxymoron in these parts.

Yelp
Passing by this area and saw this restaurant. The reviews are very good. Must eat and try it. Haven't eaten Shabu Shabu in Texas at all, went into this restaurant, very clean, very clean bathroom, excellent service, lots and lots of food, soup is very delicious, recommend it. After eating shabu, there is also ice-cream to eat as well. Super full, super delicious, super happy, must go to this restaurant, so the price is not expensive as well.

Yelp
We love visiting Go Shabu. It offers a reasonably priced hot pot experience close to home. The staff is always welcoming and friendly. We enjoy visiting on an empty stomach and changing up the combinations of our add-ins. I love to mix the Spicy and Tonkotsu broths for a perfect soup base. We have visited on weekdays, during lunch, on special holidays and the experience is always the same. The staff does a great job of keeping everything very clean and tidy for their guests. We will continue to make this restaurant one of our monthly staples.
google avatar

Yelp
Ambiance: is not too bad honestly, for the most part I didn't see anything out of place. Ample parking which is great too Service: is great, although please make sure your customer's soup is full from time to time. Ours went low and we had to ask for it to fill up. Overall our waiter is great, he got us our beef when we needed it. Food: honestly not over the top. This broth is good to dip seafood, meat, veggies and noodles but it wouldn't be great to drink cause flavor is lacking but hey it's ok! Beers a little overpriced, but the ice cream is soo good. Lol I mean if you're around Bay Area south 45 towards Galveston this place isn't bad!
google avatar

Dat N.

Yelp
We've been going here ever since they open, staff is super friendly and food is always good! They have a wide selection of seafood and meats. What's more exciting then you making your own meal right in front of you! Come hungry so you can try all their types of meats. My family really enjoys their hotpot and we don't have to drive very far either. A must try if you're into hotpot, come show them your support if you're in the area.
google avatar

Jeremy T.

Yelp
I visited here for dinner one evening and my first impression is that it has a ton of parking, compared to other shabu restaurants I've visited. It is all you can eat. The menu is pretty simple, and I tried most of the beef with several of them being tasty. I added the veggies and seafood from the buffet line as a side basically, not the star of the show. The fatty beef flavors were the way to go and had much more flavor. Overall, customer service was pretty good, so not a bad option for shabu if you're in Clear Lake.
google avatar

Cynthia N.

Yelp
pretty good AYCE hot pot in Clear Lake, clean and premium quality meats. Highly recommend if in the area
google avatar

Debbie H.

Yelp
I LOVE this place. I am used to Shabu in California which was very limited in their offerings. Go Shabu has a variety of meats and a whole buffet of veggies and other goodies including seafood and potstickers! They also offer a host of different yummy sauces. I love the setup. You are seated at a table with your own hot pot of course and it is easy and convenient. I ordered the pork belly and chicken on my first adventure. Oh and they even had different types of broth for your pot! I added my goodies and meats and along with the rice and sauces I was in heaven!! This will be my go to place from now on.
google avatar

Vanessa B.

Yelp
My boyfriend brought me here for my birthday and it was a really good hot pot place. I loved how the veggies and seafood is self serve so you can pick your own portion. And the meat selection was good. I wasn't sure if they brought out all that we asked but our waitress was super helpful in guiding us for good sauce pairings. I would definitely give this place another try. Restaurant is clean and organized and service was really great.

Brian M.

Yelp
I'd give 10 stars if I could. My family and friends LOVE this place! Great service, fun music, awesome food and buffet choices. And ice cream! Though I never make it that far, it's there! I was worried with a new competitor opening down the freeway that their business may suffer, but after having tried the other guys, they have nothing to worry about ;)

Yelp
Our entire family loves this hidden Clear Lake gem! It's always busy and popular and for good reason. Fresh and tasty, unique experience with so many ways to customize to individual tastes and preferences. Giant buffet of just about anything you could imagine for your best soup. Only wish I could take the remaining broth home with me, since I'm never able to finish it all and hate to waste that goodness.
google avatar

Shanae N.

Yelp
Love this place! I tell everyone to go. It's such a fun experience and I've always had good wait staff. Even the first time my husband and I went, having no idea what to do, the staff kindly and happily guided us along and made it fun. The variety of foods and flavor combinations between broths, sauces and seasonings make it new every time.

Yelp
Such a cool concept. Food was delicious and service was great! First time here. Great variety at the buffet.

Lauren T.

Yelp
We come here at least once a month! Love the variety of veggies, meat, and seafood. My favorite part of this restaurant has to be the sauce making section and the cookies n cream ice cream I treat myself afterwards. The servers know our faces and are always so polite and helpful. We brought our family from out of town here and they LOVED it. 10/10 recommend.
google avatar

Joseph Fowler F.

Yelp
THIS PLACE IS INSANELY BUSSING. I LOVED it! They had so many things to try; the atmosphere and expierence was amazing! The price definitely covered everything they offered! The service was IMMACULATE! The food was so awesome. The soup bases were incredible and packed everything with so much flavor. I got no.6 spicy soup. It was BOMB. Ok bye! I will be back VERY SOON.

Yelp
Really cool dining experience!! And really a cool place for dates. You choose the broth you want and order a few meats and they've got a buffet in the back with noodles, vegetables, and all kinds of seafoods you can cook in the little broth pot you have at your table. It's really super fun, even if you don't cook or are new this sort of style of restaurant. Because of the customization aspect, you can make sooo many flavors and textures. It's really quite delicious stuff and the waiters are super nice and helpful if you've got questions about what to do.

Yelp
I may have just found my new favorite hotpot place. I love the dining concept of having individual boiling pots built in to dining tables. Everybody can just get whatever they like from the menu and the buffet bar, cook the food right in front of them while sitting down, eat and enjoy a quality time together. The service has been great with the hardworking friends wait staff and hosts. It's all you can eat with unlimited thin-sliced steaks, leg of lamb, oysters, scallops, blue crabs, calamari, tofu, yams, various noodles, and vegetables. It even comes with unlimited scoops of ice cream. Look up MsWarmie on TikTok and YouTube for more. Watch the short video of this restaurant and its food here: https://youtube.com/shorts/QifKBXKzap0?feature=shared

Love this place! Food is fresh, broth is excellent, and the selection of ingredients is awesome! I grew up eating hot pot and I highly recommend this place!

Yelp
They overcharge you. Make sure check the your bill on your bank statement. We went there during weekday lunch around 2:20PM, party for two. we were told food bar will be closed in by 2:45 PM after we ordered the soup base. We had to grab the food before that to place on the very limited small table for two people. It's literally a horrible experience to have a meal like that. However, we didn't complained about it since that is their rules. They gave us the bill after we finish the meal. It was around $38.9 total showing on the bill. And I paid $44.00 since I am not really enjoying this meal and service. Guess what, after couple of days, when I review my bank statements. There is a charge $50.95 posted from GO SHABU in stead of $44.00 on the receipt with my signature. Anyway, I have disputed this additional charge. I don't feel like to writing review even I have been using yelp for many years. But this is something that I can't bear and would like to remind that make sure double check your statement. Definitely won't revisit again.

Yelp
Coolest place in the world. If you've never done "hot pot" you HAVE to check it out. It was our first time & was a BLAST.

Yelp
If I could come here everyday- I WOULD!!! This place is very tasty and such a great experience! My cousins and I came here for Lunch on a Saturday. The service was great, the food is good! First you pick your broth, then meats, after that you get up And go to the bar to get veggies, greens, sauces, seafood, and noodles. 10/10 recommend coming here!

Yelp
OK, I'm going to spill it. I'm a regular at this hotpot/shabu joint. No need to travel 30-40 mins to Bellaire/Chinatown in Houston, TX for some decent hotpot. This gem of a place has you covered, and like the trending model in HTX, it's all-you-can-eat, too. Pick from several broths--pro tip, you can even ask them to mix them together. My friend half-n-halfing tried tomato and the curry broths and they compliment each other decently. Lunch you are given the option of two price points. Stick with the $16 price tag and enjoy more than half the meats (the brisket is excellent!) or pay an additional $8 to open the options up to some premium cuts (Akaushi short rib, ribeye, Angus beef strip, premium Angus chuck tender--cuts #1 through #4) Children under 10 years get to eat at less than half the cost for dinner, too! At the bar you'll find crabs, shrimp, lobster balls, fish cakes, tofu, watercress, kimchi, dumplings, mussels, clams, and a variation of noodles and other greens. With the range of sauces provided, create your own dipping concoction. I always make sesame the star. Don't forget about their complimentary self-serve ice cream. They got the classic flavors, Mango, and... wait for it... red bean--RED BEAN ICE CREAM. I was sure at some point they also had matcha, but I didn't see it yesterday. Hmm. On Google they are currently sitting at 4.8 stars--obviously, 5-stars on Yelp. Trust me, it's well deserved. Super bang for buck. The cuts are definitely a cut above the rest. Hehh!? See what I did there? ;) My foodie instagram: umami.htx

Yelp
I've experienced hotpot here and there, but this place really rocks it. Like any other hotpot joint, you order your meat and then head to get your veggies/seafood at the buffet. Truth be told, I'm not sure that I even needed the meat here, since the buffet included scallops, shrimp and other seafood items. Heck, the veggies were enough on their own. And it was nice that there were plenty of spices/seasonings to add to the soup. For those who aren't familiar with a setup like this, you basically make your own custom soup at the table after choosing your broth and red meats. The buffet offers seafood and vegetables galore, along with a variety of noodles/ramen to complete your soup. This is a fun and delicious experience, and this place does it right.
google avatar

Danny T.

Yelp
Food was good. Seafood and veggies selection is plentiful. No oysters in case anyone is wondering. Server was attentive. One thing I do like about these kinds of places is that each person gets their own personal pot so you don't have to share. You get your choice of two soups mixed. You make your own dipping sauce which I like. Udon noodles is available but not every day. Overall the food is good considering that I don't much like hot pots. Will go again.

Yelp
I actually like this place. My sister brought me here because she knows I like soupy food and shabu is one of my favorites. Food is fresh and clean, although, I do wish that the managers would recognize that stacking plates of meat on top of each other is not too sanitized. We all know that the bottom of the plates touch the counter top numerous times and most likely, not washed cleanly. Stacking the plates and having that part touching the uncooked meat, spells B-A-C-T-E-R-I-A for me. That's the only part that I don't like, but the rest of the food being laid out are quite clean and fresh. The price is fair at $28 per person for all you can eat. The ambience of the place is upbeat but still conversational. I do hope that the managers would take more care in bringing out the meat so that plates don't stack on the meat the next time I visit. :)

Yelp
A solid place to get all your hot pot cravings satisfied! We came here for lunch on a weekday ($16.99 per person) and were seated immediately. Our server was very friendly and energetic. (It was great to experience a dine-in experience where the servers seemed to enjoy their jobs!) The lower lunch cost excludes 4 premium meat options. I'm not a big meat lover anyways, so it didn't bother me one bit. You get a choice of 3 meats per order, and while they're a little stingy with the portions, our server came by often to make sure that we always had the 3-meat order placed before our current order ran out. We tried all the lunch offerings, aside from chicken, and all of them tasted great. I'm uncertain whether the buffet-style hot pot ingredients are the same for both lunch and dinner, but there was an abundant selection of seafood, fish balls, and noodles, along with other miscellaneous items. I was, however, a little bit disappointed by the limited vegetable selection. Sadly, there were no enoki mushrooms, and the quality of the vegetables also wasn't the best. I chose to get the pork bone broth, which was very flavorful and seasoned well. (The Napa cabbage was surprisingly very delicious after being cooked in the broth, even though it looked a bit sad sitting in the buffet tray.) The baby octopus and squid were also a hit, with both tasting very fresh. Stay away from the cockles and the mussels because they were sandy and a bit fishy-tasting. The sauce bar had typical ingredients, but I found it a little inconvenient that the cilantro, scallions, and minced garlic were in the veggie section of the buffet rather than the sauce section. There are two sauce bars, each located at either end of the buffet. Depending on which side you get the sauces from, it may be a little stroll across the buffet to grab the cilantro, scallions, or minced garlic. It's always fun to hot pot at a restaurant, especially when you get your own individual pot. I will point out that the table we were seated at (for 2) is a bit cramped and awkwardly small, but once we designated a spot for each of our plates & bowls, the experience turned out great! I will likely visit here again if I'm in the area because you can't beat an AYCE hot pot experience (including meat!) for $16.99.

Yelp
This is probably my favorite restaurant in the area the only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is the ambiance is a little lacking. I was definitely intimidated to try hot pot but I'm a convert the selections are great and so is the flavors. Experiment however you like my favorite is a spicy seafood mix. The dumplings are good as well. Priced perfectly this is a weekly stop

Yelp
This place is my go-to shabu place for a decent AYCE price and great quality of meat and ingredients. It's also closest to me in the area. I was super excited that they were opening this place up in the area and I was pleasantly surprised with the overall experience. Upon entering, you're immediately greeted with friendly and smiling faces. That's probably another reason I enjoy coming here so much, is for the staff. They're always so friendly and love to talk to you (in a good way!) I'm essentially a regular at this point with how often I come here and they know me. Once you're seated, you get a menu and you have choices to select from for your broth and for your meats. You can also mix your broths. I mix the tomato and the go shabu spicy. It's a plethora of sweet and spicy flavors mixed. For meats, I normally go for the brisket and the short rib. They're really fatty cuts of meat and to me adds more flavor when you slowly cook them over time in your broth. This is an all you can eat buffet, so you can always order more meats later on and just try all the different cuts of meat. After you make your orders for broth and meats, then you get to pick out your seafood, vegetables, noodles, and your own sauces to dip your meat in. A good recommendation of sauce combination that I use: Garlic sauce, chili oil, Sriracha, fresh garlic, and green onions. It is absolutely delicious when you eat it with your meat. Highly recommend this combo. If you can't decide on a good combination, the staff has recommendations handy to get you started. Once you have everything at your table, get to cooking those meats for a few seconds in your boiling broth, indulge, and enjoy! Once your meal is finished, help yourself to some ice cream to cool you down from the warm and hearty broth. Overall, this place is a gem hidden in a corner next to Aldi's. It is so worth it and I enjoy everything about this place from the staff to the food. I recommend this place to everyone I meet and see. It is so wonderful and I will continue to be a regular!

Yelp
Go shabu is pretty decent for an all you can eat hot pot around the clear lake area. It was definitely busy when I first arrived and the wait was about 20 mins. The food was pretty good and very versatile, only thing I wish it had was enoki mushrooms. Other than that our server was super sweet and super attentive and would definitely come back if I was in the area again!

Yelp
I never do this but I have to say something. My wife and I went in for lunch on a Monday. Lunches are $18, a bit steep but my wife loves Shabu, so off we go. We eat, bill comes. They charge us $25 (dinner price) each. Okay, probably an error, so I flag the waitress down and ask her why. She says it's an all day dinner. She says there's a sign posted on the door. The sign is literally a 8x11 piece of paper with black marker saying "all day dinner" next to a bunch of other pieces of paper and signs that no one ever bothers reading. The waitress never informed us it was all day dinner. And the benefit of all day dinner? You get to choose from 5 additional meats that aren't available during lunch, which we didn't even utilize. Owners of Go Shabu, here's a suggestion: Markup the lunch to $100 in black marker on the front door. No one will read it, and you can 5x your lunchtime revenue. Maybe offer a free "dinner" beverage to justify the gouge. Super disingenuous on the restaurant's part. The food was mediocre, but we will not be returning.
