"With TVs lining the walls (and hanging overhead), and every conceivable league’s sports package available, this place looks and feels like ESPN Central Command. Better food, though. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Team Infatuation

"Speaking of sports bars, the Goal sports cafe at 8334 W. 3rd St. has a whole new menu for football season, including breakfast options on the weekends like burritos and bagel sandwiches. Check out the on-theme dining options below." - Farley Elliott

"Eight-year-old West Third Street sports bar Goal has closed up shop. The popular spot seems to have quietly gone under last month, with no word from ownership. Update: Ownership for Goal contacted Eater to say that they hope to return with a new menu iteration and some core changes next month. So far, they remain closed. Tipsters say the spot has been locked up tight during prime sports-viewing hours, and calls in to the property don’t go much of anywhere. Yelp is reporting the place as fully finished, though the company’s website and social media channels are still active. When Goal first opened back in 2010, there were far fewer modern sports-watching experiences to be had around Los Angeles. Most weekend TV warriors found themselves drawn to either large-format chain restaurants like Buffalo Wild Wings or longtime local dive bars with flickering televisions in one corner. Goal instead found itself at the upper end of that spectrum, catering to groups who could fill entire booths while offering a more craft-focused drink and food experience." - Farley Elliott

This place was the best sports bar I visited while in LA. Service was great and with just one server too. She worked really hard, too. Celebs may stop by also. The food was awesome. I got the burger and it blew my mind. I was expecting less taste, but it delivered strong. My friends both got the breakfast burrito and raved about it. Wings were good too. Juice and cook through to the bone. It gets busy so you should make a reservation if it's close to game time.

One of the sweetest soccer/sports bars that I've ever been too. The layout of the place makes it a very intimate atmosphere that can really elevate the emotion of a game. Only knock is that the booths (that look to hold 5 people easily) can be reserved but then only two people sit in them. They could easily fit more people inside the bar if they were more efficient on their booths. Good beer and friendly service to go with it all :)

This place is really nice if you are looking for the someplace dark and 70's while you are watching sports. You could get stuck in this spot for hours I tell ya. The Food is really damn amazing and they have a fully stocked bar for anyone that wants a step up from traditional bar food. I hear this place is owned by L DiCaprio and K Connolly and I have seen them watching collage ball on a regular basis. Cool place

Came in to check this place out on a Friday night around 10pm after we had dinner right down the street. It was pretty empty, about 20 people inside. The setup of the bar is nice and they have more than enough TVs. Its perfect for what it is...A sports bar. But if you're looking for a place w/ a Dj and a dance floor this isn't it... I have nothing bad to say about this spot though, the drinks were pretty good I had a couple of jack & cokes, and my girl had two Lemon Drop martinis. I plan on coming back to check out some football when NFL Season gets started. Seems like a cool spot.

I like the crowd here, at least the people who I have seen when I have gone here. It is a cool sports bar with a good vibe. The area is great too. However, the parking is horrible. I always wind up parking pretty far whenever I come here. There is valet though, so if you are willing to pay, there is no problem at all. Food is good, crowd is good, it can get crowded though so it is sometimes hard to find a spot to sit and eat or even just to enjoy a drink.

We stopped in here on a Sunday morning to watch our football game when we were traveling out of state. When they opened up the place was quickly packed, as it is one of the few places in the area showing all the games. We asked which TV was showing our game, found a seat with a good view of that TV, and ordered some beer and food. Shortly after, some fans of the same team came in, and we told them which TV was showing their game. They went and talked to management and convinced them to switch the game to a different TV. Now the game was playing on the TV over our heads, where we couldn't see it without leaving our table and walking out onto the floor. We were not very happy with this arrangement, as the place was packed, and we had already settled in and ordered. But we saw some open seats on the other side and told the waitress we were moving there. We were informed that those seats were for the owner. We asked if they were coming in, and if not if we could sit there since they moved our game so we couldn't see it from our table. She checked and we were told the owner was coming in about 10 minutes, and we couldn't sit there. Finally after missing most of the 1st quarter of the game we got them to put our game back up on a TV we could see. The owner never showed up, and those seats remained empty for over 3 hours, while patrons stood. The service was good considering that the place was very busy and they were understaffed, and they were friendly. The food was also excellent, which is why I didn't give them a lower rating than 3 stars.

I've been here twice for taco Tuesday. Each time, almost every table had a reserved sign on them. I arrived each time at 4:30 p.m. and ate and left while the "reserved" booths sat empty. I'm also not a fan of a 20 percent gratuity being added to the bill. I can understand this for a large party, but for 2 of us, it seems presumptuous. I think a patron should be able to choose what tip to leave, especially if you hardly see your server.

Got together with some friends to watch the Kings game. The staff was very friendly and the vibe was excellent. TV screens everywhere and it was so much fun. The only thing that makes this a tough destination for me is the lack of parking in the neighborhood, but that's not something that's within the control of Goal.
