Thailand Shines Brighter with 10 New MICHELIN Star Additions, Including Its Second Three-MICHELIN-Star Restaurant

"This year, the only restaurant that has newly captured the MICHELIN Guide Inspectors’ attention for its inspiring vision is GOAT , a One MICHELIN Star restaurant dedicated to thoughtful cooking that highlights Thailand’s rich natural diversity. They source ingredients directly from local farmers, fishermen, and small-scale producers, and grow herbs and edible flowers in their rooftop garden. Every item in the kitchen is used with intention ─ trimmings become fermented or compost, and oil is carefully reused. Their attention to detail extends to the décor, where reclaimed wood and recycled tableware reflect the same mindful philosophy." - The MICHELIN Guide

One of the best resto I’ve been to. After being disappointed by some other over-hyped Michelin 2 star Chinese/Asian fusion in London, I was cautious at the beginning. But the chef here at GOAT really understands Thai&Chinese ingredients&flavors and how to bring the best out of them. The creativity is superb. The staff were all so passionate and proud of whatever they were serving and went out of their ways to tell the stories behind the food. I particularly loved the tour on the rooftop garden and saw how the herbs are grown. The beverage parings were even better than wine in my opinion. Overall great experience!

Really glad I celebrated a major birthday milestone here - just simply one of the best meals I’ve had in my life. Fantastic team, just slightly disappointed I didn’t get to meet the main head chef that night (i arrived a bit late). Incredible 13 course meal - can tell the team put a lot of thought and effort into the menu and execution. Fantastic journey through tastes of Thailand. I have to praise their awesome front of house too - they made sure every second since stepping in I was well looked after - and I was severely late as well, wasn’t a problem at all for them, well accommodated. Thanks to the Goat team and hope to dine with you guys again next time!

Everything here is simply on point – from the presentation, food, service, cocktails, to the atmosphere! A truly unique dining experience. Our host Kitty was exceptionally friendly and attentive, taking the time to explain every course in great detail. The homegrown mint tea was refreshing, and the kombucha was absolutely outstanding. The restaurant is set in a quiet standalone house, exquisitely decorated with elegant Chinese-inspired touches. The courtyard’s lush greenery feels natural and calming, while the refined design creates a graceful atmosphere. Even more impressive, many of the organic vegetables and herbs used in the dishes are harvested from their own rooftop garden, adding freshness and authenticity to the meal. Neatly arranged cabinets of house-made pickles give a sense of order and care, reflecting the restaurant’s thoughtful philosophy. The evening tasting menu is designed like a culinary map of Thailand, with each course showcasing premium ingredients from different regions of the country. Every dish brings out unique local flavors, turning the dinner into a true visual and gastronomic journey. What makes Goat truly special is not only the inventive Thai-Chinese fusion, but also their commitment to the finest regional ingredients, presented with passion and precision. If you’re looking for an elevated fusion dining experience in Bangkok, Goat should absolutely be at the very top of your list!

We had an unforgettable evenin at GOAT Bangkok. Each course was delicious, the pairing wines were great and complimented the food very well. Also the service was excellent throughout the entire evening. We liked the authentic atmosphere very much. We felt so welcomed and enjoyed an unforgettable experience.

I love the story of the GOAT as much as I love the food and experience. It was the best dining experience. One Michelin star is not enough for this gem. I love their zero waste policy and that all ingredients (inckuding the wines) are sourced in Thailand. The welcome drink, their house kombucha is delicious and certainly the best ibhave ver tasted. I am looking forward to dining their again when next I am in Bangkok

Sometimes dreams come true. Having read lots of reviews of GOAT I booked the restaurant for an important dinner. Some reviews left the impression that things were bad whereas most praised it being culinary heaven. GOAT is for people who love exquisite cuisine and the next level of special / fine dining. If you just want the boring bland stuff of a place like Nobu, then this is not for you. Instead, if you want to see how a real one Michelin star restaurant (I guess it will be two stars soon) looks, feels and tastes, then GOAT is the place to be. From the moment we arrived and were served an aperitif in the immaculate courtyard including shown parts of the self grown garden including how they ferment and create things like Scoby (not Scooby Doo) it was a tour of Thai cuisine. The menu defined the 1462 km journey from Chang Mai in the north to the border with Malaysia in the south. All shown on the menu as a map like a tourist guide. My guest decided to have the soft pairing while I went for the white Wine pairing. The sommelier Gus gave a deep insight to special wines grown in Thailand which I never knew before. Twice we had the honour of having the Owner and Mastermind behind GOAT, Mr Tan-Parkorn Kosiyapong explain the next course being served with his little pincer and that big friendly smile. It was like a surgeon telling you what will happen and how you will feel afterwards. Having eaten over 100 Michelin stars in my life including NOMA, Alain Ducasse and others, this was by FAR the best of them all. Why? So unexpected, yet so authentic. And the most insane part is that the entire restaurant feels like an Art/hobby project. There is no chance they can make money with these prices against the ingredients used and staff on hand. I counted 14 staff (kitchen+floor) to serve max 20 guests. Most expensive bottle of wine on the card was a St Emilion for THB 9900. Walking away that night I felt I had been paid (and maybe played) by getting such an experience for so little money (all in THB 20k for two guests). There is one way to find out - and that is to come back! Meanwhile the plot thickens…. Small request: Aircon - a bit too strong. Please not so cold.

Excellent services, staffs are all very familiar with the menu, every single dish was well presented, small bites appetizing were amazing, very impressive. Everything’s went well until the main course. The main was a bit disappointed, like it was a sudden drop, both presentations and taste….. it was like here a bit there a bit……

Loved the service so much. Food was excellent. Everyone was warm and hospitable. Kitty has been really very kind and helpful. The gentleman who shared his knowledge about Thai wine with me was generous with his expertise. It was truly an experience I will never forget.
