Google
Tripp and the other young girl were very helpful. The cheese is outstanding. Nice little hidden gem. Please stop by. I'm not much of a wine person, but they had plenty of bottles.

Google
Was recommended to try and get one of their famous sandwiches they only make a certain number a day. So I got there before they opened and managed to snag one. It was $14 so a little more than I thought, but worth it. The sandwich was 100% fresh and flavorful. Being limited likely added to they hype, but would do it again.

Google
The whole family loved the charcuterie board. I just wish the company had labeled the cheeses. This would make it easier to reorder or even tell a friend 🧡

Will Carson

Google
Selection was good, service was lacking . I had to wait 5 minutes for someone to acknowledge me waiting in line to buy something. Plenty of employees around. Then their system asked for a tip… the wine was good.

Google
Great variety. Superb staff will help you choose from the best of cheeses. Love it!

Google

Google
Great staff, helped me pick a good bottle of wine and all the cheeses for a date night!

Google
This is a fabulous little saulmeria! Great for cheese wine cured meats and fresh French baguettes. They even make day sandwiches that are simply grab and go! If you’re in this area don’t miss this gem. We’re only here for a few days and we’ve been back three times in two days! Definitely going back too! Urban Cowgill December 2019

Yelp
Awesome place, they're meats and cheeses are amazing, pricey side but your getting what you pay for Waylon meats the wagyu beef is a must try very unique flavor is u explainable must try ( cut thin in my opinion) great wine selection service was excellent definitely will be back to try the sandwiches.

Yelp
Great little cheese shop. Wonderful selection and knowledgeable staff. They sell other nibbles too.
google avatar

Yelp
Such a hidden gem! Love their sandwich of the day - especially the one with Brie, ham, fig ham, and arugula. Price point was around $12 for a medium/smallish sandwich, which I thought was fair because the ingredients are high quality.

Yelp
goat.sheep.cow is a neighborhood favorite! The best place for wine and charcuterie items. It is a small shop but is packed with lots of great items! The employees are always ready to help with wine and cheese selections. They have sandwiches of the day but call ahead and reserve them as they always sell out asap!
google avatar

Yelp
Great place! Great service and food!! Indoor and patio spaces are lovely along with a fun choice of foods and drinks!

Yelp
Sophisticated purveyor of imported and domestic cheeses. They also have an amazing wine selection. Every day they make a baguette sandwich in limited numbers and once all 40 are sold, there are no more. This is also a great place to order cheese and charcuterie, boards, elegantly prepared.
google avatar

Yelp
OMG - the camembert with truffle cream is OUT OF THIS WORLD good. At $60 a pound, what else would you expect, especially if you like/love truffles (not the chocolate type). Wonderful selection of meats and cheese. Friendly folks, and they know their cheese.

Marc O.

Yelp
Great spot. We stopped on our to a boat outing and they helped us pick a ton of meats and cheeses to bring. Sold us a throwaway platter for a few bucks so we could construct a charcuterie board on the boat. A lot of great salami and cheese choices and they make 1 sandwich/day which was a ham and cheese on a baguette. We grabbed a few.

Yelp
I saw one of their cheeses promoted by a local on Instagram earlier today and checked out their website. I was happy to see that they make sandwiches but sell out fast. Luckily, I work down the street and they hadn't opened yet. They open at 11am, and I got there at about 11:15am, just in time to get the 2nd to last sandwich. The last sandwich went while I was checking out. Yikes. It was a turkey, arugula, pesto, and goat cheese sandwich on a crusty baguette. Definitely worth the $12, and next time I might call ahead. I'm also happy to say that I've found my new cheese and wine dealer, but will have to come back another day for that. Now that I work downtown, I'll be coming by more often, so long as I can find a parking spot or walk in decent weather.

Yelp
I've been wanting to try this place out, and i finally got to it! I wanted to try one of their daily special sandwiches. Big tip: make sure you call early because they sell out. You can start calling at 11. I got the turkey sandwich with pesto and goat cheese. It was amazing and super fresh. It was ready when i got there and only around $12 bucks which is pretty good! It's such a cute shop in the nicest area. Lots of wine and cheese and very European. Also i truly love their logo and branding.

Yelp
Visited yesterday. Just being a tourist. Found the shop searching Yelp. Enjoyed browsing the unique shelf items. Nice cheese and meat selections. Staff very friendly and knowledgeable. Space is quaint. Definitely worth a stop and shop experience for any foodie.

Yelp
This place makes me want to quit my job and commit my life to fancy cheese and fine wine. Though it's a small space, they've got everything you need to make a spectacular charcuterie board (as seen below). The staff make this place really special! They are friendly, knowledgeable, and accessible. You won't be made to feel unwelcome if you aren't a wine and cheese connoisseur.

Yelp
Solid 4.5 star experience at a five star cheese shop in downtown Charleston. We were meandering our way through the cobblestone streets of Charleston allowing our kidlet to nap when we stumbled (literally tripped on said cobblestone) upon this glorious bastion of delicious dairy. We were not looking for cheese, but then again, when are we not ok with buying some? So we had to step inside to see if any of them spoke to us. The shop is small, with three good sized cases. One holds charcuterie of all manner, while the other two have a whole lotta queso from around the world. Don't let the prices on some items scare you either. Most items are cut to order and sold by the pound too, so you can take as much or as little as you want, making it pretty affordable. We asked about local cheese because, well, when in Rome... or SC. Apparently the south isn't dairy country, but they did have some nice regional offerings from neighboring states and we settled on a domestic oozy soft rind cheese similar to a vacherin, which is only made once a year. Best part of the experience was the opportunity to taste the options before choosing, so we explored a few. Much like at Baskin and Robbins, I don't suggest exploring all 31 flavors, but if you're legit looking at buying something, don't hesitate to taste. I'm giving four stars because when we first walked in we were greeted, but when we weren't ready to continue the conversation immediately, I felt a cold draft coming from behind the counter as the cheesemonger moved on. It felt as if they thought we were window shopping and taking up space. That same person would end up helping us with our $100 order. A most excellent cheese shop with super knowledgeable staff and exceptional selection.

Yelp
Wow! What a delight this place was. Both employees were quite knowledgeable about the cheese served and helped us select several delicious ones for a picnic style cheese board, along with a bottle of wine. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Went to the north location. Great selection of wine and cheese. Nice spot for a snack. Plan to visit the other location in south Charleston soon.

Yelp
Beautiful products! Beautiful, friendly and lovely people! We just arrived in Charleston for a couple night stay. It's raining and we happened upon this place. Everyone was so helpful in helping us select some Italian items that we've now brought back to our hotel suite to enjoy!!! Grazie Mille!!

Yelp
Not my first visit here but I do love this shop! We had a sandwich each as dine in and both were delicious! They were fairly pricey for the amount of food but were both incredibly good. We bought a variety of cheeses and meats and Kimber was FANTASTIC with her suggestions for pairings. Her attention to detail, asking us our tastes, offering great suggestions and ideas, very impressive customer service!
google avatar

Becky R.

Yelp
Abundant section of cheeses, meats, and wines with super friendly staff to guide you through your selection. We had followed a Condé Nast article that recommended a self guided walking tour ending here to grab a picnic spread to enjoy in a nearby park. We really had no idea what we wanted to pick and the woman spent time talking to us about some options and giving samples of each. We wound up with an amazing spread and a nice afternoon in the park.

Yelp
Until today, I'd just popped in here to grab sandwiches during the week, which are incredible. Then today I needed a Brie and stopped in. Needless to say I bought 4 other cheeses! The store is doing great with COVID spacing and it's such a wonderful shopping experience. The pricing looks intimidating by the pound, but I got about the portions I would've gotten at the grocery store and it was totally fine. And of course the quality and selection is far superior. I will be back soon for some charcuterie!
google avatar

Penny M.

Yelp
This place was good. Really appreciated the selection. Hoping that the restaurant portion opens up soon so I can try it. Did not give five stars because they were completely obnoxious about the masks. If it's slightly moved on your nose they were pouncing. Over the top. Too much.

Yelp
Stopped in yesterday after a few meetings which was my first time in. Contrary to the what the website says, they have already brought in a wide selection of wine. An entire wall full. The two women who run the place were insanely helpful and very informative. I was unsure what to get as my charcuterie experiences have usually been presented on a tray instead of picking and choosing on my own. They suggested I sample a couple meats which I wasn't turning down. Then we did the same with a couple cheeses to pair with it. The only thing I was sure of was that I was grabbing one of the fresh baguettes to go with my purchase. I decided on Ossau Iraty Cheese, Salame Toscano Picante, and of course, a crunchy Evo Bakery baguette. I broke into it for lunch today and it was absolutely amazing. I wanted to eat it for dinner last night but I had other plans... patience grasshopper. I can't wait to finish it off tomorrow. Maybe lunch could be breakfast?

Yelp
Staff is so helpful and everything is delicious! They stepped outside to help me so I didn't have to get my child out of the stroller. Above and beyond service.

Gretchen T.

Yelp
The staff are extremely knowledgeable about the meats and cheeses and recommending what pairs well together. The Marinated Sheep & Goat cheese is a must try.

Yelp
Good cheese, terrible employees. GSC used to be one of my favorite spots downtown to get artisan meats and cheese. However, the employees are so extremely rude it makes me dread going. The moment you walk inside they immediately side-eye you and make you feel unwelcome (especially the short haired girl). The unwarranted feelings of disdain make the entire experience something it should never be. The store has so much potential to be superb, it's truly a shame the owner lets these snobby workers destroy the reputation of GSC.

Yelp
What a rip off. Hidden charges and fees they don't tell you about over the phone. "How many people are you serving and how much would you like to spend?" Told then we had 8 people. They suggested $10 per person so under $100 fine. Get there, wait a half hour to pick it up. Come to find out there are hidden "set up fees" and "tray fees..." what was supposed to be a sub $100 tray, ended up being $230. You read that right. $230, for an 8 person meat and cheese tray. 4 cheeses, 3 meats, some olives, some figs, few nuts - $230. Was it good? Sure. Would we ever spend half that again to use them?? No shot in hell. Never going back. Ted's butcher block does just as good a job, for 1/3 the price, and you don't have to pay any hidden fees or return any floor tiles Goat uses as a serving tray....

Yelp
Perfect little spot to grab some charcuterie provisions to have on hand for a weekend in Charleston when you're not feeling like going out. The prairie white cheddar melts in your mouth and the manchego, unreal. The speck is an interesting choice vs. the other two prosciutto options as well. The staff is super helpful and will not lead you astray! I can't recommend enough. They have everything you need for the perfect wine and charcuterie board night.

Yelp
Food usually makes up for the pretentious and underwhelming service. Today it did not.

Yelp
I've been eyeing goat. sheep. cow.'s sandwiches on instagram for a while now. They always look amazing, but each time I find myself thinking of places to grab a sandwich, I never remember it! Last week, one of my friends reminded me and we headed there to grab a bite. We didn't even check our IG's to find out what the special sandwich would be. It ended up being a fantastic concoction of tomatoes, burrata, aged balsamic vinegar, basil, olive oil and on an EVO semolina baguette. I actually find myself an avid tomato hater and was in semi distress when I read the ingredient list. I went with it, and the sandwich was so good! The sandwich is probably 8" long, comes wrapped in twine and with G.S.C. stamped paper. It's definitely a curated specialty. The prices comes to $9.50 with tax, which is a little steep, but you definitely get quality, fresh ingredients. There is no place to sit down, so take your sandwich to the park and enjoy the day!

Yelp
Totally FABULOUS shop! We visited to have a platter made for a short celebration get away to Hilton Head. Patty was so generous with her knowledge, time and samples. Yes- you can try before you buy and that makes all the difference. We enjoyed every bite! Pig & Fig was amazing! We will be back- every time I fly in to Charleston to see my family. A new tradition. *Jersey PROUD*

Yelp
Goat. Sheep. Cow. is my ONLY destination in Charleston for fancy cheese, for more than a few reasons. Firstly, the staff is fantastic - I've gone into the shop knowing I 'need' cheese for a homemade cheese plate or pizza (get some Rio Bertolini dough at the Farmer's Market), and they've guided me through a dozen samples until I found the perfect combinations of flavor. Talk about selection: the variety is in the name. All varieties of cheese from all over Europe and beyond. What's more, Goat. Sheep. Cow. has some really affordable cheeses, and a lot more than just cheese pack into their tiny Church street shop. Expect a wall of wines (each labeled with its origin and pairing recommendations), along with figs, marcona almonds, imported meats, bread and chocolate - all the makings of an incredible spread! My recommendations: Honey Bee Goats Milk Gouda, Dubliner Stout Cheddar, Aged Mahon, Manchego, and the Julianna herbed goat cheese.
google avatar

Yelp
Step back in time into a large assortment of old world cheeses. Helpful staff and lots to look at while in the shop. It was one of my favorite finds in the city and walking in this section of Church St. where there are numerous classical galleries and at least three churches, hence the name. LOL. It feels and looks like it would have been the same a century ago. Easy jaunt from City Market and French Quarter.
google avatar

Marnie S.

Yelp
We needed some food for our daily wine and cheese plates that we like to enjoy while vacationing on Folly Beach for the holidays. I popped in on a Friday evening, was recommended a nice selection of cheeses, which I complimented with my favorite meats (coppa and sopresata), a baguette, and some honey. Short of having some apples and pears in the store, this would have been a one-stop shop. We will be back.
google avatar

Roger Y.

Yelp
On a nice day there is nothing better than to pick up a sandwich of the day to eat in nearby Washington Park. I'd recommend picking up a container of castelvetrano olives to accompany your lunch or take home. The ones they sell are fresh and the best I've had.
google avatar

Julia R.

Yelp
I really enjoyed my trip to goat.sheep.cow! The girl at the counter helped me to choose 4 cheeses and a meat to make a cheese plate at home. She also helped me select a bottle of wine to enjoy with the cheeses. The employees all seemed to be very knowledgeable about the cheeses, meats, and wines. I chose a soft cheese, two semi soft (not sure this is the term), and a hard cheese. I was also excited to see that they also carry EVO baguettes! (Some of the best bread in town) They also carry crackers, olives and other accompaniments for cheese. They will even create a platter for you ahead of time. I can't wait to return soon!

Yelp
We stopped in the North location on Meeting Street, today. Looking for some specific cheeses and were lucky enough to find everything we needed. The staff here are exceptional! Everyone greeted us and were all very helpful. Nice conversations and some very excellent knowledge of all their cheeses they carry .... and there are many. I have not been into the Church Street location but would expect it to be just as wonderful. The Meeting Street location is just as warm and friendly as the South can get. A perfect visit. I'll definitely be back! Merci beaucoup pour une grande expérience.

Yelp
When going to an establishment like this it is so important to have people that are educated on the products behind the counter let me tell you that the people that were there today that helped me out really picked out great wine and great cheese for me and I am really happy with my choice to come here I will be back tomorrow for olives

Yelp
Grabbed lunch with a friend. Menu is kinda boring, but I suppose the charcuterie is really where it's at anyway. Great decor, friendly staff, good food, plenty of wine. Nice spot.

Natasha H.

Yelp
We have always received amazing service. They've gotten to know what we like and are always happy to share recommendations. They've never steered us wrong. And when a friend came down to visit from Wisconsin, we stopped in for cheese and meat. She said that their prosciutto is the best she's ever had. Absolutely love goat. sheep. cow and the wonderful people that work there!
google avatar

Kenzie R.

Yelp
The ladies working were so gracious with suggestions, and let us try so much stuff so we could pick out our perfect charcuterie for our last night in Charleston. This shop is adorable and they were so knowledgeable. Really enjoyed this place.

Yelp
Staff is extremely friendly and welcoming. Everything is prepared fresh. Lots of options for wine and cheese!

Yelp
Pains me to write this because the cheese and bread we got from here was very delicious. However... We were sent here from the fine people at Normandy Bakery right up the street where we got a loaf of bread. The girl behind the counter suggested we try Goat Sheep Cow to get some cheese to go with it.... Sure! When we told the gentleman helping us that Normandy Bakery sent us he made a snide comment that Goat Sheep Cow makes better bread and we should buy his instead. Ummmmm okay? Where's the sense of respect that they just sent you business.... and you're on the same street why not have a good community and support each other? Huge turn off and it made me not want to go there again. Again the cheese was quite delicious and they have all kinds you'd ever want. But I won't be going back after my initial experience.

Yelp
Stopped in for a dinner assortment of cheese and wine. They were very patient and helped us pick out the perfect cheese assortment and paired a great red wine.

Yelp
This is really a five star place, but the prices are higher, so I'm giving it a bit of a star discount. When you need solid recommendations to go with the quality, go, because you will love it... and you can always pay a bit more for love, versus really, really like, huh? Let me explain why: 1. Wines. Great selection with clear and great explanations of the wine, including what types of cheeses and meats pair well. They have always been spot on in my opinion. 2. Cheeses. Oh, the cheeses. What's great is that you get to try any cheese you might want to see if it is indeed what you want. They have a great selection, but what's more notable if the staff. They really care about their products and definitely know what they are selling. 3. Sandwiches. If you are lucky enough, you can get one of their sandwiches. They make 1 kind per day and they are yummy. My husband will buy two because he doesn't want the first to end. They have a great flavor profile and will likely inspire you to try something new. It is a great place to go for a gift, including BEAUTIFUL trays. I just filled a bag -- a goat.sheep.cow. bag of course -- for a friend's bday today: two wines, two cheeses, some rosemary crackers, olive oil, wine cherries, and caramels. I know it will all be great! Overall, you can get many of the same wines, cheeses and charcuterie downtown for less, but you will have to take more risk and more time. So my recommendation is when you know you need to make it a win, go to goat.sheep.cow, pay a bit more, know exactly what you are getting... and it will be grand!!!

Yelp
One of the best stops in town. Shoppe is small, yet filled to the brim with YUMMINESS. Cheese selection is vast, wine selection solid, and specialty items divine (mustards, jams, spreads, chocolate figs). Staff is warm, welcoming, helpful and happy. LOVE the SOTD specials. My favorite: Prosciutto Cotto, Triple Creme Brie, Fig Orange Spread, Olive Oil, and Greens on baguette.

Yelp
This is a small gourmet cheese and wine shop on Church Street a few paces south of Broad on the left as your turn south,,, these kind folks have the sexiest cheese shop I have seen. Eve (Eva?) was gracious enough to reopen 10 minutes after closing so that we could get a bottle of wine. The staff asked what I wanted, answered a few questions, and then made sure that I got what we wanted, and took the extra moment to find us a cold bottle rather than from the shelf. Helpful, yummy, and in-and-out in 5 minutes. That won our loyalty, and we shopped there 3 times in 4 days. The wine selection looked to be very cosmopolitan, with a preference towards French (a natural with French cheeses) and I thought that all the wines showed that thought had gone into finding ones that showcased less-hyped regions and varietals, and showed lots of bang for the buck. We had great cheese, wine, pate, bagette, and service. it looks like they also have a good selection of oils, and other gourmet accoutrements...

Yelp
Had a very pleasant experience here with the help of Patty and Trudy (co owners). Patty helped educate us on what cheese we would like. She really knew her cheeses and has a deep passion for it that shows in her customer service. We were suggested one cheese from each box. We got the due latte (soft), big johns Cajun (medium), and the podda (hard). Trudy then helped us pick a wine while Patty continued pairing a meat with the cheeses we chose. Overall a very pleasant experience. Really recommended. They will help you find the perfect cheese, meat, and wine

Yelp
Charleston's best kept secret. Huge case of cheeses, nice selection of meats, mustards, jams, accoutrements for an impromptu picnic. Popped in to finally check it out today - pleasantly surprised by knowledgeable and helpful staff with no pressure at all. One of the best customer service experiences I've had since moving here in November! Kudos to goat.sheep.cow! P.s. get the Kunik cheese and a pack of membrillo, the speck was excellent, the sopressata was delicious, goat Gouda was a great rec - we loved it all!
google avatar

Yelp
Absolutely the best cheese selection on the peninsula - I'm delightfully overwhelmed every time I go in there. Luckily the staff is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about cheese! They help me find the current cheese of my dreams anytime I'm in the mood for something new. One of my favorite things about the place is the owner, Patty. Her passion for what she does radiates from her and it's inspiring to see someone doing something they truly love...especially when it involves something I love so much too (cheese! cheese! cheese!). They have a great selection of charcuterie, wine, olives and dried fruits/nuts to make a heavenly cheese plate. Also awesome - they will make you a cheese plate for one or one hundred. I've stopped in before to pick up a lil' sumpin sumpin to bring my sweetie as a workday surprise and they happily hook up small quantities. The only thing I wish was different was the price...I can't ever afford the cheese I really want and I always end up spending more than I meant to when I walked in. Luckily Trader Joe's has a few of the same cheeses at a more affordable price if I'm willing to drive over the bridge. (Hint to the cheese lovers: Trader Joe's carries burrata!!!) goat.sheep.cow is hands down one of my favorite spots in Charleston, I feel lucky we have it in town.

Yelp
Somehow, my friends and I thought this was a cafe. But alas, there is no place to sit and eat. However, we didn't let that dampen our spirits... when we stopped in on Thursday, we purchased a fresh baguette, selected a nice bottle of chilled wine, and then worked with a member of the staff to select a few cheeses to make an impromptu picnic. The woman working with us was very knowledgeable, patient, and seemed unperturbed to have four hungry women asking her for cheese recommendations with little to no indication of what we liked. We did specify that we only wanted pasturized cheeses, and she made a recommendation from each category of goat, sheep and cow. Her recommendations were spot on. Truly. Each time she recommended one, she gave us a small sample so we could see if we liked it, she explained where it was from and what it tasted like... it was amazing. I wish there was a bar in there so I could have sat and asked her questions and sampled cheese all day. I would have gladly paid to do so. As it was, we got three phenomenal cheeses, added in some almonds, crackers, mustard, and a chocolate bar, and took our treats down to the water to picnic. I cannot wait to go back to Charleston to visit this store again. The selection is amazing, and the staff is top notch. Phenomenal.
