While taste is always subjective, there were two major issues with my experience.
First: service. At times, it felt like some staff lacked basic training. For example, when one of the main courses was served, a waitress forgot to bring one of the two dishes and walked away. What made it worse was that her coworker reacted quite visibly—rolling her eyes at our table and letting out a loud sigh.
Second: food quality and how the team handled feedback. One course included clams, and I noticed a funky, unpleasant smell and taste, so I spat it out. A waitress asked whether I simply didn’t like the dish. I clearly explained that the clam didn’t taste fresh, but she immediately responded, “No, it is fresh.” I repeated that I had tasted it and it wasn’t. Only then did she say she would speak to the kitchen—and that was the end of it. There was no follow-up, no explanation, and no apology. As the person eating the food, it was frustrating to be dismissed so quickly.
