All-You-Can-Eat Buffets Are Back at Detroit Casinos, Asian Restaurants | Eater Detroit

"The national grill-buffet chain has overhauled operations in response to the pandemic: some locations now serve cafeteria-style, while other sites (notably Westland and Clinton Township) provide gloves at stations and replace serving utensils every 20 minutes. To-go and delivery options have been added, with individual plated meals (generous portions plus two sides and a yeast roll) available in place of all-you-can-eat service; the famous chocolate fountains have been cordoned off and staff now dip fruit for diners to reduce crowding and improve sanitation." - Monica Williams

Google
Cold stuff was good. Food that should be hot is only warm. The manager should be checking the temperature of the food every 30 minutes. Baked goods are dry. I will say that though. Waitresses were very nice and kind. And good service..

Google
Went to Golden Corral for my son's after graduation next day breakfast/ lunch. We had a really good time, about 30 of us. The waitress Pocahontas was very nice. The food was mostly hot and really good. The French toast was okay but kinda hard, every time. The rest of the food was good to me. The price was alright.

Google
Joseph B took great care of us. I think the staff here is great! And Our Server Joseph Really Made The Night Special!

Jess

Google
Absolutely love this location. The manager Joey is spectacular. He booked a last minute party for my son and we really appreciated it. The food was good. They have alot more options especially during dinner, and they keep it stocked. If its running low they immediately put in a fresh pan of food, or if you let them know they will bring another one right out. Our waiter Ken was tremendously courteous, and I know he's been there for a while because he was our waiter last time we booked a party. He is super helpful and if he hasn't gotten a raise yet he needs one.

Google
I enjoy going to the Golden Corral Buffet. They have some very good cooks here. I like their roast beef, their meat loaf, their golden fried chicken, etc. Everything taste good. Plus their waiters and waitresses are very helpful. It's a good place to go to eat and sit around and socialize with friends and Co workers. I notice a lot of Seniors like to come here also, and the children love it.

Google
If I could, I would give it a 3.5 stars. I have gone to the buffet a few times in the last 10 years and to me, it is always the same. Some great food, some good food and some poor quality food. The atmosphere is not cozy at all. It always feels like it is cramped and the carpet and tables need a lot of updating. Multiple times I have been in this place and the place as a whole was messy. I doubt they clean the shakers on the table that often, because 2 times, I have gone, the shakers were not clean and they were sticky. It seems everytime I go into the place, something is not working, such as ice cream machine or they are out of common items such as bowls for the ice cream. Because it is a buffet, you never walk out of the place hungry. With that said, I think the price is a little high for the quality of food you are getting. What I do like is that there is a lot of seating in the place, so you rarely have to wait to be seated. If you are starving and you want a variety of food and you do not mind that some of the food is so-so, than check this place out.

Monica C.

Google
I went around 2pm figuring the food fresher during the middle of the day and the crowd would be a little slower… the food always has the potential to be good but the stations were poorly maintained…. The cook ate the whole time we were eating while the food sat drying out under the heating lamp and after that she stayed in her phone, neglecting her station even more…. Even the Salad bar had gnats flying around it and the lettuce wasn’t fresh…. Never coming back

samantha W.

Google
80 degrees and it is always that hot from what the workers and other customers said. The guy stacking the plates must have been made at them because he slamed them down like they been messing with his girlfriend. Buzzer going off , ice cream machine screaming, we had to look twice to make sure no one was getting stomped. Anyway the workers were considerate and nice but it to bad they work at this sweat shop.

Ann C.

Yelp
Went for lunch. Buffet meats were in short supply and everything else was depleted and old. Go to Southgate if you really need a buffet. That sucks too since right after they opened but they still have more in the way of sides. Not worth the money.

Dennis P.

Yelp
I hadn't been there in over fifteen years.I met my brothers there for lunch. The place could use some upgrading on the interior. The food was nothing special. I always used to get a couple chicken breasts, mashed potatoes and corn. There were no chicken breasts to be found. Both times I went up.There were none there. The dessert section used to be pretty big now. It's really trimmed down.I didn't bother getting dessert I ordered a coffee. And after being there for an hour, I was never asked if I wanted a warm up. It was a very disappointing but things get old and nobody cares anymore. I won't be going back.

Yelp
The food was terrible. The service was good, but the amenities were also pretty bad but also they're infested with roaches. I would never come here again.

Yelp
I went to Golden Corral at about 1:15 on a Saturday afternoon. Primetime, right? So you'd expect that they'd be prepared. But, it seemed like they were surprised that people had come to eat. Most of the empty tables were dirty, so I took the first one I saw -- a table that seats 6. Dishes were hard to come by. There were only a couple in one of the buffet things, and most seemed to be dirty. (I did find some in another one.) There were only forks -- no spoons or knives. There were no bowls to be found anywhere. Ice cream on a plate doesn't work well. Many of the food pans were empty. There was actually a line of people waiting for something, and they'd apparently been waiting a while. There was chocolate ice cream but no vanilla or twist. Now, the reason I went all the way there was that I wanted a salad bar (there aren't many left anymore) and a taco. Those things tasted ok, as did most of what I ate -- which wasn't very much. I thought the onion rings were particularly good, and I liked the pot roast. But it felt like they must add calories to the food in some way; I really didn't eat very much, but 10 hours later, I still feel full. I suppose that makes it bargain for the price, if it means you don't have to eat again.

Yelp
So, I heard that Golden Corral was bad, however I wanted to check it out for myself. I'd give it negative-one stars if I could. Should be called "E. Coli Corral".. The place was filthy, and there was no place to sit.... people standing around waiting for a free space.... The food looked awful to begin with... The servers refilling the trays were dropping stuff all over the counters, then just brushing it into the pans... I saw kids taking food off their plates and putting it back into the trays... The people who worked there looked like they were shuffling along on some sort of death march... And the bathroom.... OMG... The bathroom was absolutely filthy. Nasty sinks, wads of used toilet paper on the floor, urine all over the toilet seats, there were boogers and poop stains smeared on the walls. And it's not hard to figure out why. The clientele is bit on the "lower" side... it's who this place caters to. I paid for the food, but there was no way in hell I was going to eat any of that slop. I suppose if I had been on a deserted island for a while, this food would be palatable. Otherwise, this place is to be avoided at all costs. Garbage food for garbage people. The only bright spot was that the cashier was friendly.... and walking out the front door.

Frederick S.

Yelp
Too expensive for POOR FOOD. The service was ok, but not the worth the money. $100 for 4 people last night. With my senior discount. You can get better service and better food at a full service restaurant that this food trough. Most of the food is like eating from a trash can but the deserts presentation is great. That's it, awful. Soft drinks are $3.49 each. Seriously, NOT WORTH THE MONEY AT ALL!!!!

Shelby R.

Yelp
Do not here. Poop all over the bathroom walls. Save your money and go else where. Our server was awesome but if they can't keep a bathroom clean what are they doing to the food.
google avatar

Francine P.

Yelp
For $12 ( senior lunch price) you get what you paid for. Good salad options. Food just okay. Good service from the staff serving beverages and clearing plates.

Stephanie J.

Yelp
Affordable and staff is very friendly! Great variety of food and desserts. I'll definitely be back

Hunter P.

Yelp
The food had hair on it. The plates were dirty. so many people. service.l was not to good the atmosphere was bad the people inside where acting like fools.

Janet H.

Yelp
Imani Wilson was one of the best compared to some restaurants that are considered to be upscale. She was attentive to our large group. She was well organized. She checked on us regularly, making sure that our needs were met. We had children with us and she was very patient with them as well. Someone in our party had allergies to seafood and she took care of that issue without hesitation. Her interpersonal skills were top-tier! I would hope that she is moved to a position to train staff! I would also recommend anyone looking for a great employee to reach out to this person!

Scott A.

Yelp
Waitress took water glass and utensils away, when I was going back for seconds. Food is mediocre. Roast beef, chicken wings, pot roast was ok.

Yelp
***GO ANYWHERE ELSE BUT HERE. YOU ARE WARNED*** Another Dismal Dining experience at this Golden Corral ZERO if I could rate that. Paula the manager was a total failure, instead of fixing the price she wanted to throw us out when we pointed out the pricing and refund our money. We should have taken the money. Breakfast was one of the worst. Bacon and was raw, and an older black cook ( 50-70) argued with me over getting an egg white omelette claiming they would run out of eggs if everyone wanted an egg white omelette. I told him I always get that. There is a Meijiers in the connected parking lot and have been previously told they run over there to replace milk if the run out. Meijiers has plenty of eggs. Service was also terrible. We had a older ( 50-70 ) Indian lady ( did not get her name) refuse to get juice until I literally showed her that someone else had a cup full. She said it was broken, but it worked but the Orange Juice was watered down, I said fine I will take it. She threw a stink about it and made another waitress from the far side retrieve it and serve it to me. She (Indian woman)was rude about it. The other waitress(Tony?) was great and has always been nice, so that is why we sat on that side as usually that is her side. We should have went to the Taylor/Southgate store as they are infinitely better have great managers and decent service, but we wanted to see the 1PM show of Gaurdians of the Galaxy in 3D at MJR Westland. I only ate 6 pieces of bacon, egg white omelette ( tomato, onion, bacon ), a bowl of Frosted Flakes and a bowl of Apple Jacks. My wife was disappointed in most of her food, and my son loathed everything here and is refusing to ever go back here. This is the worst Golden Corral we have ever dined at. We have eaten at GCs in Orlando Florida, Toledo Ohio, others on the way to Oklahoma to see our son in Fort Sil, and never has the food been worst at this location. This is the closest GC to us, but it has spiraled so far down the drain it needs to be fully flushed. Also they are STILL blocking the fire exit with High chairs today, after I have repeatedly reported this violation to a manager EVERY time I go there. They used to have great staff and Pocahontas is still great as a server, a father/son manager/omelette cook, and Billy now working at Taylor. Do yourself a favor go to Taylor and avoid this hellhole. I hope Tony and Pocahontas find a better place to work. Find ANYWHERE else but here. P.S. KPOT in Novi or soon to open in Yspilanti or China Palace in Ypsilanti better food for a little more. You will thank me.

Yelp
Stopped for a linner. Everything is fresh with a large variety. For 2 people just before 4p it was only $26. Perfect time to come. Clean. Service was friendly and attentive. Food was delicious. While visiting in the area I will definitely come back.

Journisee D.

Yelp
There food was nasty poor customer service very disrespectful workers forks was dirty n plates where greasy very unacceptable

Gladys C.

Yelp
Boy howdy where do I start. Ambiance? Serving nursing home realness. Service? She was great. Pretty sure she was the only one in the whole building. Food? Oh boy. These folks sure know how to fry multiple foods at once. The seasonings? Gone. Extinct. Nowhere to be found. The stuffing? If i had taken two more bites, I would have had to be taken to the nearest ER for an IV for dehydration because there was so much salt. In stuffing. Salt. Moving right along, speaking of salt, it was the only thing used to season every food dish. For some reason, this included the rice krispy treats. I do not know why. "The green bean casserole was vile"- said by a real Golden Corral customer. for desserts? oh boy howdy. you would think this would be the light at the end of the tunnel, but somehow, it only got darker. number 1: ice cream bowls are hot. WHY? number 2: i will circle back to the rice krispy treats. they were chocolate covered. however, all that was tasted was sodium. again, WHY? number 3: the ice cream machine. i will say one thing and one thing only: how the ice cream came out gives you an accurate representation of how the rest of your day to go. also couldn't tell the difference between chocolate and vanilla. it tasted what i imagine the color gray would taste like. overall, FASCINATING experience. very eye opening.

Yelp
Good spot to get your buffet dinner or lunch on. Lots of good stuff and desert too. They dont have one near me so whenever I'm in town for a few I try to eat here.

La-Tanya W.

Yelp
Where do I start. We use to live this place. Haven't been in years. It's a huge NO for me. The waitress was the only saving grace. She was awesome. Food no. BBQ chicken had no seasoning no flavor. The potatoes were thick like playdoe. Corn straight put the can. Then I saw a guy come collect the carpet strips that were placed in front of the buffets. He rolled up the dirty one UT it in a rolling bin. From this same bin he pulled the "clean" one flipped it ope. And plot it kn the floor. Never covered the food up from all the dust and dirt he was flipping around. I was so grossed out that was my que ro leave. I'll not be returning. Ever.

Yelp
Have had good experiences most of the times for the past year or so, but yesterday, Memorial Day was memorable, in the bad sense. Around 3pm, I arrived at the Warren Rd. location, and looked for a shaded spot in my usual parking area. A car was in the best location, parked over the line, taking two spots. Seeing a young man inside the car, I moved slowly next to his car with mine, and asked politely whether he could move over to the left, so I could use the adjacent, partially shaded spot. The young black man responded angrily that he was staying in his spot and that I had no business suggesting that he move. I reiterated that he was over the yellow line, taking two spots, and he interrupted, telling me to go away, in vulgar terms. I then told him: "You're the boss, I'll move away." Then, he started threatening me, and I crossed myself and prayed: "Lord, please help this man find his way back to the right path." That made him even angrier, and I backed out and moved my car about 30 ft to the left, into a sunny spot. Then he shouted at me to get out, and threatened bodily harm to me. As I started to get out of my car, I heard a rock hit the passenger side of my car. He chased after me initially, but stopped when he saw a couple of people get out of their car, in my path to the front door of Golden Corral. To keep things brief, I'll just say that a female Assistant Mgr. confronted me just inside, having just got a call, apparently, from the thug in the Golden Corral t-shirt. The General Manager, Dan Sitton, then came to the register area, and both of them said no, they weren't going to call the Police, and that the whole affair was my fault. On my way back to my car, the first thug, who apparently was an employee, and a second thug, harassed me and shouted abuse at my from a moderate distance. Neither Manager told the thugs to stop the verbal abuse, or to stop advancing at me. I did get quickly to my car without being intercepted and drove away, never to come back again, it seems. I formerly worked for Jennifer Granholm, as an EEO Complaint Officer at Wayne County, and this seems to have racial overtones. I'm almost 74 yrs. old, so I need to be especially careful where my physical safety is concerned.

Yelp
Golden Corral has done a huge change in the food and the service I believe I did a review on them before my god the turn around is amazing great food great service super clean super friendly never had to worry about a refill the last time I came here was years ago and it was horrible but that's in the past bring friends bring your family don't walk run to Golden Corral this location is the new hotspot I will return the job Is not finished lol

Treyvion F.

Yelp
There was a fly in my food But the service was great And there was a child that had to be carried crying and yelling

google avatar

Tilhia F.

Yelp
The food was okay , but the environment was loud and needed a major cleaning .It use to be a lot better I will stick with the Southgate location.

Yelp
Although I read the 2 star reviews I went anyway! What a huge $30 mistake!! The food was sparse & it was all LUKEWARM OR COLD. The chicken looked several days old! Even the veggies were lukewarm! The desserts, my fave, were in short supply & the carrot cake fell apart before I could plate it! Are you getting the drift!! Avoid this place unless you enjoy cold, day old food. No one offered a coupon or an I'm sorry....This is a 2 Star restaurant!! Please don't waste your money. Ugh!!! Do yourself a favor & STAY AWAY from this terrible place!
google avatar

Steve B.

Yelp
First time here as a diabetic. Lots of great choices on the salad bar and was quite fresh as well. I was pleased to see deviled eggs which were very good. I had to stay away from carbs but had a lot of good meat to choose from. The steak was cooked ok but there was quite a bit of chewy fatty gristle. The BBQ chicken was very good. The Bourbon chicken was awesome as Well. All in all not a bad meal.

Kailynn H.

Yelp
It's my go to when I don't feel like cooking dinner! I usually settle for a salad and random selection lol. The selection is usually fresh especially when it's busy! My favorite server is Jay! He's fun and is always a joy! He makes sure our table is always clean so we can pig out in peace lol!

D J.

Yelp
Went to the Westland location on 10/25/23 for dinner and had the absolute worst restaurant/food experience ever, in 55 years. Please don't be like me, and after reading the reviews, run, don't walk away from this place. 1 senior (.70 savings) 1 adult and 1 12-year-old cost just shy of $50. For that they only brought out two pans of chicken wings to the buffet, nothing else the whole time we were there. Usually, the carver stations are some of the top entries but they the old, dried ham and old extra dried turkey breast had been sitting there for who knows how long, literally nobody went to get any slices, it was pitiful. This place is in need of a management change at the very least. If it was me, I would have had freshly cooked ham and turkey out for the dinner patrons and then maybe people could have written a review about how good it was, but that didn't happen. Golden Corral, you may have rigged me out of my money by having me pay first before eating, but never again. Let me be clear, NEVER AGAIN. Double zero rating.

Mike P.

Yelp
No consistency. Food quality & variety is all over the place. Sometimes it's decent other times it's barely editable. I think a large percentage of the food is canned food and not prepared just heated up. I'm not sure if they have a professional cook just people who heat food judging how tasteless the food can be. Really a badly managed restaurant. Forget about the advertisements for Golden Corral. Often those items are not being served. Their steak is tough. Person cooking the steak didn't know the difference between rare and well done. Shrimp? Not there. Weekend breakfast? Once there was no eggs, no bacon, no hash browns. When I complained I was told that the were switching to dinner offerings. It was 10:15, dinner didn't start until 11:00. Servers are also inconsistent. A few are very good but a few are awful. Try to order beverages in twos you might not get a refill for a very long time. Cheeseburger? The bottom part of the bun was dried out and hard. Too hard to chew. Mustard on a cheeseburger? WOW How unusual-Laugh. Had to ask every time. No learning curve here. I keep a small bottle in the car and carry it in, easier than waiting for 5 minutes to get. Chicken is often dried out. Dessert bar? Used to have fudge or syrup no more now they got gummy bears. Ugh! Slush machine more often than not is not working. Why do I eat there? It's relatively cheap compared to fast food and when something is not good I just leave it on the plate and get something else. I wouldn't expect too much but as I said its inconsistent. You could get lucky. Chicken was hot & moist last week....

Dashaun J.

Yelp
Do not eat here, there is hair in the rice and the food is not seasoned. In my opinion, if you come here, eat the mac & cheese, it's the best part.

Geri G.

Yelp
The fried chicken was good and the gentleman that kept our table clean was good everything else we tried SUCKED. All the hot veggies were cold and mushy. Dessert bar was so so. Will not go back
google avatar

Chelsea W.

Yelp
Food was amazing and it's a great place to satisfy those pregnancy cravings. I only seen one waitress cleaning tables and handing out drinks and she was doing an amazing job. she was still super nice to everyone. Only downside was they only had chocolate ice cream.
google avatar

Jill C.

Yelp
There is a LOT of food here of great to ok quality. The fried fish was amazing. The shrimp and chicken were very good, as were the smokehouse meats. The numerous desserts were mediocre to meh. Salad bar looked good, as did the steak, but I didn't try them. Mushrooms and greens were great! And, obviously, you can have as much as you want, which is awesome. It's an enormous amount of food for the price. It's VERY crowded on a Sunday afternoon, which I'm sure is prime time Sunday dinner. While it's fun to try the different food, for about the same you could have a plate of very good quality in a nicer place. The kitchen could not keep up with the demand, so while the food was piping-hot fresh, there were also lines and some empty bins when you went through. All the same, if you can put up with the crowds and wait to be seated, there surely is something for everyone here. It can feel a little messy (slippery floor, tables close together, long crowded wait just to be seated), but for a huge appetites, varied tastes, or fussy eaters that may be a trade off you are willing to make. My group left full and happy. Everyone who worked there was very friendly. Our table server was very attentive and was working hard. He was so appreciative of his tip I'm guessing many people leave him next to nothing, so DO tip your servers who bust their butts clearing all those plates and keep the refills coming.
google avatar

Darlene K.

Yelp
Marcus is the best worker there. Pocahontas is great too. I miss Kim. This is a delayed review. I told the manager twice four weeks ago to not block the fire escape with the beverage cup carts yet here it is again. See photo. This is not right and a repeated inappropriate action endangering everyone. No one should die because of mismanagement and no corrective actions taken.

Bobby G.

Yelp
Came back for the first time after not going for a while and definitely not as good as I remember. Pizza tasted fresh out the freezer and the ice cream was melting way too quick. Service was good it's just the food is for sure a 5/10.
google avatar

Graziella B.

Yelp
This place gets real busy and fills up fast. They do need to tidy up this place. Parents allow their children to go up by themselves get their own food and create a mess all over. Some of the help need a hospitality lesson. Depends on who's cooking the food is ok. This Golden Corral has really changed in the last several years!
google avatar

Swipe Up S.

Yelp
Dirty lazy ungrateful waiter food was dry place was dirty no clean plates very bottom of the barrel not worth time or money
google avatar

Jessica S.

Yelp
I feel like I need antibiotics after leaveing this place. It was filthy, the food looked like slop being poured out of big zip lock bags. The desert did not even look grocery store quality. I only ate cottage cheese a roll and a piece of chicken. If you like questionable food that comes from a can or bag this is the place for you!
google avatar

Michael L.

Yelp
Selection is never an issue here. Food is cycled out regularly and the staff is friendly. The restrooms need a major overhaul. The dining room is a little outdated but still functional. I can't give it 5 mainly because of the "clientele". It's often a bit anxious watching kids running around and people often not washing their hands or wearing the gloves.

J'vonna W.

Yelp
they wouldn't restock the food until 10 minutes after it was gone. the plates were not clean. the ice cream machine was spitting water. we had to chase the waitress down to get service. I am very unhappy and the desserts were completely ruined.
google avatar

Liza G.

Yelp
Great service, the lady can to our table cleared plates and refilled our drinks, she had a wonderful personality friendly and a great smile. The food was well prepared and delicious. We had a great meal and will definitely return.

Kathy J.

Yelp
The variety of food choices was good. We enjoyed the entire meal. The bread pudding was very tasty.
google avatar

Ed M.

Yelp
I myself have only great things to say about the Golden Corral. The food was above what you normally find at buffets. Staff was very friendly and picking up your plates as soon as you got out of your seat to go up for more. Chicken was tender and moist, as was the Roast Beef. BBQ was very good and had a nice sauce just sweet and tangy enough. All in all I am gonna go back any and every chance I get!!!
google avatar

Minister J.

Yelp
Cheap buffet. If you know what that means then bring the family and dig in. Otherwise, steer clear :)
google avatar

Bigmf G.

Yelp
They are back open. We went to dinner on a weekend so with drink and tax it was almost $20 each. The food was your general Golden Corral fair. The salad bar was fresher than it has been in the past. Same stale cake. The chocolate brownies where fresh hot and great. Steak was a little tough but all the other meats where very good. We where lucky to get a great waiter, Marcus, he was awesome! He took really good care of us.

Yelp
I used to visit this Golden Corral during lunchtime when I worked nearby. Having been away from it for years, I decided to give it a try again even though I have a buffet competitor very close to my house. I try to contextualize all my reviews towards what a restaurant is trying to be. I don't compare a steakhouse burger against fast food. Comparing Golden Corral against other buffets in the $9-13 range, I think it comes out ahead. First, you can get steaks cooked to order as part of the buffet. My steak was cooked perfectly to medium rare, it was seasoned correctly, and it was a decent cut of meat. If I had that steak with a baked potato and a side for $8, I wouldn't be upset with that meal alone. Then add on top of that everything else. Their catfish filet was tender with a crunch corn meal exterior. I drowned it in lemon, just as I like it. I had some buffalo chicken wings, some nachos with beef and veggies, a salad, some shrimp, a bit of fried rice, and spicy cajun sausage. The dessert table was likewise impressive - I had some banana cream pie and a small dish of ice cream with caramel, whipped cream, and nuts on it. Tasty finish to the meal! Where else could I get a pretty decent steak and all these other items - even just a sampling of them - for this price? Nowhere outside of the large casinos in Las Vegas, from my experience, and although the quality there might be better, it would cost $40. A couple warnings - the macaroni and cheese is atrocious, flavorless goop. Some of the broiled fish looked like it had been sitting in its juices for way too long. It is important not to go there desperate for a particular dish, because it might not come out fresh while you're there. The ambiance isn't ideal for a nice meal. There were screaming children running rampant, and some of the clientele is waaaaayyy too excited to be at the buffet and can be a bit pushy or over eager. But my server was polite and refilled our drinks and took away our dirty plates often. The floors, tables, and silverware were clean. Even though I eat out often, in order to sample this variety of food, I'd have to cook for 40 hours straight or spend hundreds of dollars at twenty different restaurants. To get an amazing wide variety sample of decent quality food, I think Golden Corral is a great place to visit.

Yelp
Twelve bucks for cafeteria-quality buffet food is just too much. My friends and I decided to get tanked and visit Golden Corral. I thought I knew what I was in for, but nothing could have prepared me for this place. It is the epitome of gluttony. There was no shortage of sweat pants and too-tight tank tops. The food was just okay. It's been a while since I visited any buffet, but I remember them a bit more fondly than my time at Golden Corral. Most of the food looked as if it'd been sitting for a while, and even the fresh-looking stuff tasted old. Whatever, I was drunk and it was food, so down the hatch it went. Would I go back? Hell nope. If it were $8 versus $12, I'd consider it, but the low quality food, trashy clientele and dingy decor doesn't scream for a second visit.

Yelp
OMG I'm reviewing a Golden Corral! I died after eating here the other day. No, not how you think - no food poisoning induced chachas - nope, my overfilled tummy exploded. I had to roll down the elastic waistband on my stretchy pants! Almost everything we ate was... good or better than average! Very nice salad bar with literally dozens of fresh options on it. Crispy fried chicken, tempura battered fish and breaded shrimp (see a pattern here?). Nice amount of veggie sides, but nothing stood out. Grill area was a nice touch, but my steak rated about a 2. A bread station (oh the horror of this carb shrine) and tons of dessert options. Small serving containers so the staff refills often. We were both pleasantly surprised with the freshness of our choices. I hate the atmosphere, the whole indignity of waiting in line to scoop your own food. But the food was good.

Yelp
The food is low quality just like their staff. Nursing home tasting food with hood rat employees. The food is NASTY AF bugs n Nats all over salad bar. They have the speaker for the music turned up too loud and if you ask any of the staff to refill empty food or ask for more your basically crucified. I asked for more sweet potatoes and was met with ATTITUDE from a hood rat staff member who looked like he needed to bathe cut his finger nails put his hair in something and stfu n just go get the sweet potatoes but no they like to argue and treat they're guests like garbage. It's like going into a disco with loud music blaring dirty and dishoveled staff handling the food and it's an overall bad experience. Pies still frozen but put out bugs in the fruit n bad management bc they need to restaff that entire business n get ppl that look like they've showered before coming to work. Staff looks like they're hung over dirty or strung out and the management must be partying with them after work to have and to hire that mess of unproffesionalism

Yelp
I went to the restaurant on Warren Rd in Westland, MI. The staff were horrible and unprofessional. They were literally arguing in front of the customers about who supposed to get drinks for certain tables. My party of six was waiting 30 mins for a server to provide our drinks. I felt like the staff was inconvenienced they had to work. Eventually, one patron went behind the counter to get their own drinks for their party. The food was decent but the kitchen couldn't keep up with replenishing the food. The customers were great people. But the staff was very disappointing. This location needs to be shutdown and rebuilt back up to the standards they strive to be at. Get people in there that care about the customers. I know it can be hard to find people that want to work these days, but there are a members of that staff that doesn't want to work. I do not reccommend this location for your dining experience.
