Golden Dragon

This was the first time for us experiencing Taj Mahal Palace. Booking at Taj is not easy because no one picks up the call. I managed to book a seat after reading great reviews. The place was good but no vibe, no good music or different atmosphere created. The place was quite small. The staff was pretty sweet and even gave us a complimentary cake for our anniversary but the food was below average. Watery with no great taste. At Taj I would expect it to be at least tasty. I would not go back to the place for sure.

Amazing food and experience at the Golden dragon, while celebrating the birthday. Staff were very courteous and friendly. They gave us great food suggestions and cool conversations. Must try !!

Fantastic authentic Chinese Cuisine restaurent,.I am amazed by there consistency in Balance taste on each and every Dish.What a dimsum ,Superb Soup ,Fabulous starter.I become fan .I'll definitely visit there again .And a view ,Its Taj yaar .One thing missing staff of there , were in hurry to close down restaurent in time 😀😀😀😀.They were repeating one line again and again for Last order Last order .Plz don't do that with any one coz Every come there for enjoying Taj Hospitality with food there .And one get aware of that things in single time saying also.BTW taste that was superb.

This was a once in a lifetime experience and even though I had my fair share of experiences in 5 star hotels and didn't like the food but this place didn't disappoint .. We ordered dry red chilli chicken starter and then main course was followed by burnt garlic fried rice and kungpao chicken.. All the items were delicious and even their hospitality was top notch.. Everyone who wishes to dine in Taj once can definitely try out this place

During my recent trip to Mumbai, I visited Golden Dragon, a lovely restaurant known for its interesting and delicious Chinese cuisine. The atmosphere was cozy and comfortable. Our server, Suresh, took excellent care of us and treated all the guests very well. He was courteous and made great suggestions. The experience truly reflected Taj hospitality. I’m so sorry to have to write a bad review. This has nothing to do with the staff, they were absolutely amazing and accommodating. But, I had a bad allergic reaction to the food almost immediately. They put MSG in everything. I had no idea I had developed an allergy to it, but shortly after I ate their soup I began having severe tingling in the back of my head and then pressure around the eyes and temples. The tingling began to spread through my arms and legs and my chest became tight and I had shortness of breath. Now, I understand that the use of MSG in modern days is fairly common in Asian countries. I would expect them to cut corners like this in a “hole in the wall” restaurant…but at a fine dining place like this at a FIVE star hotel??!? Why is this okay?? They should be getting their umami flavors from natural stewing of broths and mushrooms and seaweeds.. not some cheap synthetic BS. At the very least they have the decency to warn you (in very small print at the bottom of the menu) but still, it just should not be common practice in an upscale restaurant like this. I am very disappointed to say the least. Thankful I only had the one soup.

A lovely relaxed lunch at the Golden Dragon ! The service team lead by Rachit was excellent ! Personal attention to detail and great service ! Food quality and taste was superlative. Though we were only 4 of us dining, we ended up ordering generously and actually polished off everything ! Again, I must say that the entire experience gets enhanced a few notches with great service !

We ordered asparagus and corn dumplings which were phenomenal! You can see the chef making them right in front of you, like a magician! The spring rolls were crispy, crunchy, had just the right amount of filling and the sweet chilli sauce was something I could eat a bucket of! The vegetarian fried rice with a non spicy black pepper sauce was the cherry on top :)
