Wonderful gem of a spot in an otherwise industrial area. Ingredients are sourced from sustainable local farms and the service was surprisingly delightful (my burger was cooked Medium after requesting Medium Rare and the head chef promptly offered to make it right). The tables are nestled in an open patio with dappled light. Wonderful retreat on a warm day.

This place is amazing and has super high quality meats. It looks like this is mostly for wholesale, but there's probably ways to order from them as long as you're spending about $250. We moved over here from getting meats from Costco and there's a lot more meat and a lot less fat on the boneless skinless chicken thighs, which means overall I'm coming out way way ahead

****Golden Gate Grill *** delicious food, super close to my job so it makes it easier to enjoy, high quality products, great customer service, i like the attitude of the lady who took my order. i do understand that they just open, but some more tables and umbrellas will be nice, people will come by more.

The Grand Re-Opening at the Richmond office on Sept 16th was a great event. The Food/Drinks/Music was fantastic. Do it again!

Best quality meat in The Bay Area! Hands Down!

They deliver! I might never shop for meat at the grocery store again. We have ordered almost everything they offer, and they have not done us wrong so far. The cuts and the quality and the pricing and the people are all excellent. In fact, we just made pozole with the pork butt, and it wad tender and perfect. The charcuterie is to die for. The Spanish chorizo and the fennel salami are our favorites, but we also love that they provide deli sandwich meat in bulk (it keeps in the freezer just fine). Another favorite in our house are the chicken apple sausages and the whole roasting chicken. The was the best find of the pandemic for our house. We are customers for life!

We just had lunch here for the first time. There are many choices on the menu. Prices are great. The employees are friendly and caring. The food was great! Very pleasant to eat outdoors. We will be back to try more items. Great find!

Unfortunately, due to an incompetent salesperson who couldn't communicate effectively, get our orders right, or on time for that matter, we had to stop buying from this meat purveyor. It's horrible that a company whom is considered family owned for many generations doesn't adhere to stricter standards to stay on top of their game. Beware of shady invoices that state incorrect prices, and incorrect product if you intend to buy from them. They promise you with something at x price and then send you something else at y price, and if you don't catch it, you're SOL; they should be voted for WORST BUSINESS OF THE YEAR! I will tell everyone i know in this industry NOT to buy from them.

This is a wholesale meat company that has just about everything. Beef, pork, poultry, dried and cured meats. You could probably score some brains from them if you're into that. Because we're a small business our representative can be kind of a dick sometimes, like he's got better things to do than talk to me. My sous chef (who is a woman) and my wife (who is also a woman) have had very positive experiences with him though. What am I, an asshole?! Don't answer that. Moving on. One extra star because when you punch in their phone number it kinda sounds like "99 Red Balloons."

5/8/08 UPDATE: Ok so they don't normally stock ALL of the organic meat I want, but you know what? Sarah over there is busting her butt calling me after hours to help me get a measly little order together. She's trying SO hard to have what I want in-stock, so I can order 5lbs. That's laughable in terms of bulk quantities, but she knows something... She knows that one day when my business is bigger than I ever thought it would be, I'll still be calling- and now it's to get my 500lbs of meat. And so, Golden Gate Meat company...I thank you. For doing what you can to help me succeed! _________________ These people are making starting an organic meal delivery service just a little bit easier. They're REALLY nice about how little I'll be ordering to start out. They have told me repeatedly "small or large, whatever the order, it's not a problem" - I mean, really people, they don't need to be that way. But they are. And they stock TONS of ORGANIC meats which is all I'll be buying. I am really thankful for Golden Gate Meats- nice people, local business that supports other local (CA-based) farms AND has lots of organics. Amen.

While they primarily work with people who buy in a lot of bulk, there are also a great source for whole animals (lamb, pig) or other hard-to-source things for consumers. I bought a whole lamb from them last year, and was exceedingly pleased with the customer service, quality, and ease of doing business. It's a family run business, and the people there are great. One warning -- unless you are spending north of $200, let's say, and preferably north of $300 or $500 you're really not going to be doing business here, but instead with their retail store in the Ferry Building.

Service from Golden Gate Meat Company in Richmond was great. I had specific criteria for the size of meat I wanted to order and that was met. Stephen Gregory did a great job of giving the details of case size and pricing to place my order for our BBQ competition season. He even went out of his way to deliver the goods to me since some were arriving later then the pick up window.

Amazing meat & prices. Would love to continue service with them but our sales rep could not get our orders right. Meat never showed up or wrong product was sent out. Twice in one day! My company is no slouch either. We orders thousands of dollars of meat. Miss them but can't do business with unpredictable sales rep.

Best place in town for quality meat! The housemade sausages are killer and they have an AMAZING selection! After cooking with their stuff, it's hard to go anywhere else, so shop with caution...

Wow. I am just opening my eyes again after snacking on some of their coldcuts. Amazing selection.. All kinds of cuts, some prepared things, sausages. I would guess that they have 3-5 X the variety of a well-equipped supermarket meat section, even Whole Foods . You want organic buffalo loin? Humanely raised veal? Cook-at-home corned beef and pastrami? Here you go. A wholesaler, mostly. My restaurant has been using them for years, made me wonder why you can't just wander into a grocery store and get that quailty of meat. Now you can.

sandwiches here are delicious. i've had the meatloaf, drenched in homemade gravy. the bread is soft and all you get is meat and bread. but its soooooooo good. i've tried the pulled pork and pastrami also and they were equally delicious.

Not only can you buy raw meat at this lovely establishment but they offer a few sandwiches at their location in the ferry building. The Hot Pastrami sandwich is deliciouse with a touch of mustard on a good soft roll. No extras just meat and bread -It is 7 bucks and will melt in your mouth.

Love their potato salad with black olives. We always get their Landjaeger sausage (pair that with some Acme bread...delicious!). We also love their lunchmeats. We tried a venison one & a buffalo one & they were both fantastic. Staff let's you try a bit too, which I always appreciate. This place is wonderful. We have to try their oxtails next.

Golden Gate Meat Co has bar none the best tasting and highest quality products around. We have bought meat from them for many years and they quality of food and quality of service has always been fantastic. I was shocked to learn that they carry over 1000 products (all organic). Beyond just meats, they have cheese, poultry,etc. It is a family business and they are all extremely dedicated to their customers. I recently heard they were expanding into the North Bay with a Santa Rosa location.
