Golden Krust Caribbean Restaurant

I always come here for the SaltFish and Festival, but this morning, I wasted my money, and the customer service lacks customer service. This is not the islands. I sent out someone to go pick up my food, and I got Orka in my saltfish, and I don't eat orka and I felt like the plate was halfway full, and the plate was mainly Orka. I work in the food business as well, and I do management, so I tried to take out the Orka and not complain but today I had a long day ahead of me and i wanted some good breakfast to full me up and it was pointless because it it was 80% Orka, 10% fish, 10% empty and i couldn't enjoy it. This is not my first time here, and I always and only buy saltfish from the store, nothing else. The lightskin lady usually serves me, and she's usually nice, but today, a darker shade lady served me. I was disappointed. I went back out in the freezing cold to see if they can exchange it with another chicken soup because I don't eat Orka and the plate wasn't presentable at all and when I got there and explained to lightskin lady like you know I always come and we never have an issue I don't want to be refunded because I support all my blacks and Caribbean store's , I just don't like to played about MY food. I didn't touch nothing in the bag so they can see what i was served and why im upset about it The lightskin lady didn't care enough that she just ignored me and started to talk to someone else instead of trying to fix the issue to make sure all parties is happy she just rolled her eyes saying I can't take it back ( all she had to do was give me a chicken soup that cost less than what I payed for the food and she could of threw the food out or handed it to a homeless ) she never offered My cash back , she didn't care enough to hear me , she didn't solve the issue , she flat-out ignored me in my face and talked to someone else with an attitude and her enegry and face wasn't as pleasing as the food. I thought it was unprofessional and tasteless. Especially since i'm regular, this will be my last time spending any dollar in this franchise. You can keep the change. I was so disgusted that I handed my food to a homeless person. Waste of money, energy, & time. I'm officially done with this location.

Never open at 8 despite advertised hours, forever running out of things that you know you should make extra of and more. We good lol I won’t step foot in another.

Had the curry goat yesterday which was Wednesday and it was great !!! Tender everything nice !! Went back today Thursday had the same thing curry goat didn’t have that flavor and meat was hard !!

Bought this breakfast from Golden Krust on Nostrand and Newkirk Ave. this morning for a Jamaican friend. The response... "Dis Nah 'Yardie Food,' Dan! Fyah fi bun dat! 👎🏽👎🏽". I'm rollin'🤣 After leaving this review, I saw the response which was eventually taken down and here's why. The person(s) words were a bit unnerving. But not enough to erase the aforementioned facts, so...

A storm of people started to come in & I guess the girl started to rush & didn't close it properly & everything is soaked in oil because it wasn't closed properly. But the bigger issue is why is the salt fish so oily???

Customer service is severely lacking and they can move so slow here. Besides that, the beef patties and porridge is good!

This location is very small. I ordered a breakfast (salt fish) seemed like it lost the salted flavor, I had to add. Portions are decent, staff is nice.

So, here's the story. I never make it home without eating my spicy beef patties. Never. The crust THE AMAZING CRUST is so delicate and flaky it'll make croissants jealous, LOL. By the time I'm done, I've got flaky crust all over me because I eat these like an animal. The best of the best beef patties. Wonderful recipe. Don't ever change 💖
