My colleagues and I recently dined at Golden Lotus, and it proved to be an excellent spot for large group gatherings—especially if you enjoy dim sum. The restaurant offers a wide variety of dishes that are ideal for sharing, making it a fun and social dining experience. From dumplings and buns to rice and noodle dishes, there was no shortage of flavorful options to go around. One highlight for me was the fried rice with Chinese sausage and honey BBQ pork—a standout dish that was both rich in flavor and impressively tender. The savory-sweet combination made it a table favorite, and I would definitely return just for that. That said, there were a few challenges worth noting. The service, while prompt, came with a bit of a language barrier. Communication was difficult at times, particularly when it came to ordering. We experienced a mix-up where a dish we didn’t order was brought to our table, and the server initially insisted we had marked it. In reality, we hadn’t even found a pen to fill out the order sheet and had asked the server to take our order instead. The confusion could’ve been avoided by double-checking the order sheet before handing it over, so I highly recommend doing so if you’re not fluent in Chinese. Despite this hiccup, the overall experience was very enjoyable. The lively atmosphere, combined with great food and a communal style of eating, made it a memorable outing. Just come prepared for a bill that can add up quickly—but it’s well worth it for the quality and experience.

We had a wonderful experience here! Calm and quiet atmosphere, clean tables with outlet convenience, and deliciously authentic food! Our server was incredibly sweet, attentive, and helpful. We will absolutely be coming back, and I hope they receive more recognition in the future. This is a golden spot!

Google
The Dim sum is okay but the spicy squid was something else. The portion is less than I would image for the price. The service is fast and food on time but the place is really dark from the outside. I wasn’t sure if it was open.

The Food Was Amazing! The Service was Excellent. I ordered the spicy cucumber salad, and the Peking Duck. It was really very tasty and I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who comes to Orlando ✅. 5 Stars for Both Food and Service

My husband worked on the border of Chinatown in San Francisco with a Chinese friend who treated him to the best dim sum. This review is based on his input. This is a good, quiet date spot. Our server smiled once and was efficient. The bao was filled with a sweet pasty pork mixture, but it wasn’t char siu. Good steamed shrimp dumplings filled with a sesame oil flavored paste around a piece of shrimp. Good egg drop soup with a drop of sesame oil in it. Good fried rice. Good enough sweet and sour chicken with a few onions and bell peppers, no pineapple. My husband did not like their egg custard, saying theirs was too egg-y and didn’t have enough flavoring.

Google
Good place for Cantonese dishes and dim sum! We came here for my birthday to eat dim sum and they didn't disappoint. We are regulars, and they have a great set of dishes you can choose from. Their lunch menu is great with young chow fried rice, spicy tendons, and crispy squid/pork, and their dim sum is decent. The only thing is i wish they made their rice dim sum coatings thinner. We spent about $94 for 2 people which is pretty expensive. I think they can be a bit cheaper too. Overall, it was a good experience. I wouldn't come here on a daily basis though, only on special occasions.

Google
Just had lunch there: sweet and sour chicken with fried rice. Decent price, the rice was OK, but the chicken was actually really good. It'll be a place we put in our office lunch rotation, for sure. Very nice people working there. Place was a little warm - not sure if the AC was working or not.

Google
Delicious vegetarian options. We got the spicy eggplant, braised tofu and mixed vegetables, salt and pepper tofu and the vegetable fried rice. Super delicious all around, very friendly staff and lovely atmosphere. 10/10

Yelp
We had a wonderful lunch today at Golden Lotus! The food was very hot and the portions were bigger than anticipated! We ordered from their lunch menu and was very pleased. We were warmly welcomed and seated immediately. The store was very clean! We ordered steamed dumplings that were so good. The shrimp dishes we ordered were also good!

Yelp
Service was fine 1 * for bad pricing and quality. Ordered egg tarts, sticky rice, bbq pastry, siew mai, lava bun Egg tarts & lava buns were decent. Buns were slightly smaller and seemed the type that you could just buy off the shelf from the store and just steam and serve. Nothing special to write about. Egg tarts were so so. Bbq pastry, siew mai & sticky rice were incredibly small. The amount of meat fillings were pathetic. For the price they were charging, it's as expensive for FL's standards and are comparable to prices in the Bay Area. We were served chrysanthemum tea for $2ish per adult. Would not be back for sure.

Yelp
Excellent dim sum. About the same as Ten Ten, but less crowded. Slightly less quality than YH Seafood at 20% less cost. No lines, crowds, easy access and parking. Very fresh. Highly recommend.

Yelp
This place was mediocre. We didn't have high expectations but didn't expect portions to be so small. We wanted some dim sum and saw some good and bad reviews, so we thought we'd give it a try ourselves. The portions were small, and some dishes lacked flavor. The beef with rice roll was probably one of the better dishes, however, it was too salty. The congee was extremely small as well. Food took a while to come out. Inside felt clean, but we probably won't be back when we're in Florida.

Yelp
I had certain level of expectations. Even mid level even...but this was an absolutely fail for me. The Shui Mai was microscopic! If this is their way of cutting corners. It sure looks disappointing. The Black Bean ribs was scarce to none. At least add some fillers to compensate the portion! Chicken feet had 0 sauce on em. That was a first for me... The Chive dumpling seemed more of a plate of garnishes.. Salt & Pepper Squid was heavily salted to the point where we had to throw it away. Uneatable. The Sticky rice was crunchy inside... was that in a claypot?! Cause thats the only time I had rice that was crunchy. And the last but not least. The egg tarts. Tasted as if it was reheated several times and put back in the fridge and reheated again to give you that texture of over cooked old eggs. Overall, they either need to hire a new chef or find someone that knows what their doing. With the cost of the food... it was definitely NOT worth the experience.

Yelp
Been a staple dim sum place for me and family for the past 10+ years. Chicken feet best here in Orlando for my taste.

Yelp
We just ordered dim sum To go and it was bad. Half of the food we ordered was not edible. Egg tart were raw. Shrimp dumping were cold. They basically bought package food and bake it or steam it back. Very disappointed!

Yelp
When I visited 7 years ago, I felt like service was lacking and quality was just ok. I'm glad, having visited again 2 weeks ago, everything has improved! The dim sum comes out hot and fast. Quality was so much better than in the past. Service was also much faster and more attentive. The waitress was consistent in making sure our drinks were kept full and making sure to intermittently clear out plates that we had finished to make space for other dishes coming out. Although the ambiance is about the same, and could probably use a renovation (especially in the bathroom), the fact that everything else is better means that ambiance is forgivable. Overall, I think this is a solid dim sum alternative to a lot of more crowded locations in Colonial Drive :)

Yelp
Great food, great service and pricing. Love all their dumplings and the flavors. I would definitely recommend.

Yelp
This might be a place to stick to American Chinese food. We ordered three dim sum (turnip cakes in xo sauce, shrimp stuffed eggplant, and xiaolongbao) and a shrimp with broccoli. The shrimp with broccoli was definitely the highlight (although expensive $16.95 for 8 shrimp)! We ordered the turnip cakes in xo sauce. These are supposed to be crispy on the outside and are usually in smaller cubes than the normal turnip cakes. These tasted greasy, unfortunately, and didn't have that salty crispiness on the outside. The shrimp stuffed eggplant was also greasy and it made me wonder if it was leftover from cart service and then fried again before serving. The xiaolongbao was definitely commercially prepared and then steamed. This wasn't a surprise but I was disappointed they didn't provide ginger when I asked and brought out red vinegar instead of black. Overall, the food was just not good enough to justify the price. For those interested in dim sum, Millenia dim sum king and seafood (a little pricier but better) and east garden in Chinatown (best value and flavor) are much better. I will say the service was good and the ambiance was nice and clean.

Yelp
I've enjoyed their dim sum before but last night I was in the mood for something else. I ordered 2 entrees and a soup. All to share. It was kind of weird then brought out all 3 menu items together. I asked the server to make the soup a to go item. The other weird thing was the couple eating with me got their food about 4-5 minutes before us.

Yelp
We are going home today and want to have some dim sum before the flight. Found this restaurant closed to the airport. The restaurant is cozy with may be 1 manager and 1 waitstaff. Husband kept telling me he had good feeling about the food and he was right! The stuff peppers was amazing! He said was the best he ever tasted. I ordered 6 dim sum dishes and they were all authentic, freshly cooked and delicious. Totally will recommend!

Yelp
Had a wonderful Dim Sum meal at Golden Lotus in Orlando. Stuffed shrimp eggplant, turnip cakes, and soup dumplings were just a few of the "yummy" off the Dim Sum menu items we ordered. Everything came out hot and we also remarked how freshly made everything tasted. Very friendly staff and excellent service. We will be visiting again soon.

Yelp
I came to Golden Lotus a few days ago, there were a few things that missed the mark. I ordered crab rangoon, an order of egg rolls, and Mongolian beef. The crab rangoon were very over fried. The pinched tops were more than crispy, they were hard and I didn't eat them for fear of the sharp corners/edges hurting my throat on the way down. The crab center was not creamy at all. They were small little balls of crab meat (presuming crab meat, they too were cooked from the heavy frying) that I thought were rather small on top of not being creamy. I ended up not finishing them. The egg rolls were not over fried as the rangoons, but they had taste/smell of fish oil. I'm not sure that is an ingredient for egg rolls(?). The Mongolian beef was served where there was an unusual amount water. If it was the sauce, I was expecting the sauce to be thick and nothing "watery". The classic hoison-base taste of Mongolian beef was also on thin side. The service was good. My order was taken within reason and the food was brought out in good order. The dining area was organized and was not especially fancy. When I went to wash my hands before eating, the men's room was a pit. It smelled as if it had not been cleaned for a long time (there was an air freshener hanging there, as if that was going to help anything). It was not modeled well, it was a striking contrast to the front dining area. I was wondering if there would even be any soap, which there was (phew!). I was not exactly enamored of the experience, I think I'll pass next time.

Yelp
Delicious authentic Dim Sum! Food served to you hot and very tasty. Servers Connie and Lilly very attentive and caring.

Yelp
KUDOS and thanks so much to the wonderful staff here at Golden Lotus for providing supreme quality customer service! The Hong Kong Style Dim Sum was excellent and very tasty! The music in the background is so quiet in order to enjoy my meal. I highly recommend all to come and visit to support this local business!

Yelp
This unassuming little joint is in a strip mall anchored by a gigantic Walmart and 7 Eleven off John Young Parkway. The only other folks in here was a group of six Asian folks yapping and laughing away in their mother tongue; for me that boded well! As they were nearly finished, they asked for more stuff to go!! Waitress very friendly and willing to answer questions. As I'm familiar with dim sum, I didn't really need any help. I just asked my Queen Bee to provide basic general input and then went to town with their menu. They provide nice little pictures to go with all their dim sum, rice and noodle stuff. I ordered a bunch of steamed stuff, some pan fried stuff, a lil deep fried stuff and a big bowl of noodles & pork w. Peking sauce. Nearly everything was quite lovely and the Queen Bee relied on me to finish what wouldn't travel well. Basically the deep fried stuff and mostly all fried food needed to go. I'm not gonna go too far into each little item and its own individual merits. I will say that the siu mai and the pork pies were the best items bar none...I have a load of pictures to identify everything. I also loved the turnip cake in XO sauce. Sauce made the cake a little less crisp than it normally would be. However that same sauce was so good...and it had a great bite at the end. It was all sitting atop a lovely mound of sautéed bean sprouts. Only constructive criticism regards noodles and pork dish...I'm used to this variety of noodles being a wee bit chewier than this; still yummy though! One last positive note is that just before we left, another Asian couple showed up to dine in. Again, that to me is a good indicator of both quality and authenticity. I didn't even bother looking at their "regular" menu, ie with more typical "Chinese food" one usually sees on Chinese American menus. I'd gladly return to this humble little shop anytime I find myself around here again. Since we take the occasional week of R&R in this general area, I look forward to trying other things here too. Wee!

Yelp
First off, not too friendly and I was told the store was open till 9pm so I arrived 8:45 and was told they were closed but we will wait on you anyway. Strike one! Secondly, the pricing is somewhat expensive, I get that though it is a full service sit down and I don't mind paying extra for great food AND GREAT SERVICE. When one is missing I'm not happy. The beef chow fun was amazing, the ambiance was great, the customer service stinks! It's hard to find good chow fun though, so I make my husband go in to purchase. He doesn't care about the service he gets, long as you feed him! Food was great service is horrible

Yelp
My youngest son wanted Chinese and we were checking the area while we waited for my other who's in Topgolf with his friends. We found Golden Lotus Chinese Restaurant and he was feeling Chinese food to eat. The outside looks nice and once we entered, we were greeted right away and directed the two of us in our table. The place looks clean and the place looks like a simple Chinese restaurant but when our server gave us the menu, I had a feeling that their food is going to taste good. Our server asked us what we wanted to drink. My son wanted sweet tea and I asked for hot tea. I ordered pork & egg fried rice with no veggies and egg drop soup for my son. I ordered shrimp wonton noodle soup, beef pan fried dumplings and pan fried turnip cake with XO sauce. I also ordered Yung Chow fried rice which has chicken, shrimp and ham and o also ordered Chinese broccoli with garlic sauce to go for my wife and son to go. The pork & egg fried rice tasted really good. It's not salty, it's just right. So son loved it. Egg drop is flavorful even without adding soy sauce. The consistency is thick, which I love. Make sure to mix the soup before slurping it. They put a drizzle of sesame seed oil. The shrimp wonton noodle soup has a great broth. They give a six pieces of shrimp wonton and bok choy. I dipped their wonton to the chili oil and it tasted good. Beef dumpling has very good flavor. There's a slight crunch from the pan fried and the meat is soft. The dipping sauce has the right mixture and gives that extra uhmp on the dumplings when dipped. The pan fried turnip cake with XO sauce was so good. It has the right texture, slight crunch on the outside and soft in the inside, be careful, it's hot, lol. It has the right amount of sauce and the sauce has just that touch of spice. It's garnish with bean sprouts and you can see the spices all over. The crunch of the bean sprouts made this dish delicious. All their food came out hot and our server was really nice and very attentive to us. Great service. When we got there, around 6pm, the dinner rush hadn't started yet. Half way our dinner, a big party of 12 came in and other people so it got somewhat busy. I didn't get to take a picture of our to go food because when we got home, my wife and oldest son started eating it. The Yung Chow fried rice tastes good. It has a lighter soy sauce than the pork & egg fried rice. A right amount of shrimp, pork, ham and veggies. The Chinese broccoli with garlic sauce is very good. The broccoli cut is kinda in a big size. All in all, they have a very tasty food. We are definitely going back because their has so many good food and they have dim sum, not the push cart style. I highly recommend this place.

Yelp
Amazing place! Delicious food and great service. Our server was very friendly and the food came out so quick! You can tell it was cool to order because everything was so fresh! This place is authentic when you see the lazy susan and round tables! The vibe is super casual and laidback. I can't wait to come back and try something different next time.

Yelp
My friend had never had dim sum before, so we found this place nearby where we were staying at and gave it a try. They have two menus here, the dim sum menu and the regular menu. For the dim sum menu, they give you a piece of paper and you write down how many of those items you would like to order. At least they give you pictures of what you would like, versus other places that assume you know what you want. Because of how the place is set up, you don't get the pushing cart lady you expect at a dim sum. Still, the food is what matters most. We ordered a lot between us, so I will address each one and recommend my personal favorites. Beef Rice Paste (Roll): Similar to Banh Cuon. This is a staple when ordering dim sum for me. We ordered two versions. I prefer the pork, but for the beef, it was not too bad. It was flavorful and not too salty and had a good amount of fillings in them. Sesame Ball: I did not eat this, so I cannot have an opinion on this BBQ Rice Paste (Roll): This one is my personal favorite. I prefer BBQ pork always when it comes to this dish. It was quite filling and scrumptious. Would order again. Pan Fried Dumplings: This was a bit of a new thing for me to order. It was pan friend and crispy, and the chives inside was delicious. Not a bad dish to order Fried Shrimp Balls: I always have to order this dish at a dim sum place. I just love dipping this thing in sweet and sour sauce. It was crunchy and fried perfectly and there was a lot of shrimp inside the ball itself. Pork Buns: My friend really wanted to order this. Nothing really stood out to me. It was alright. Shrimp Dumpling: My friend also wanted this. It was good and had a good amount of shrimp in the middle. Nothing too fancy about it. Shanghai Soup Dumpling (Xiao Long Bao): Unfortunately, I compare this place always to Ding Tai Fung. They did a good job on trying their best at it. If only they gave me a soup spoon, I would have enjoyed it more. Sui Mai: A classic dim sum dish. I really liked how they made theirs. It had a lot of meat in it and was the perfect size to eat in one bite. Sticky Rice in Lotus Leaves: My friend wanted to try this. I am not a huge fan because I don't like mini dried shrimp. Overall: Not a bad place for some dim sum. The prices were fair and I thoroughly enjoyed the meal. What I would if I come back, BBQ Rice Rolls, Fried Shrimp Balls, and Sui Mai

Yelp
The food was decent and authentic. My favorite was the plain rice crepe, it is very smooth with a nice rice taste.

Yelp
Decided to go out with my brother in law for a quick lunch. As he does come from a Chinese culture, he wanted to show me one of his favorite places to go out and most authentic in the area. I think I have a new addiction. Dim Sums are awesome. It's more like Chinese tapas. You order a whole bunch of DimSums and then you grub on them. Very inexpensive, it can get expensive, but I got full with all the items we got. Runs about 4-6 dollars per dim sum dishes. Little, but it does have carbs so makes you full. The restaurant looks really clean and very nice. It's in a shopping center in the corner of Sand Lake Road and John Young. There is for sure a lot more things I want to taste on the menu and I will be back. Thank you to the girl waiter, and the host. Very nice.

Yelp
This place blew my expectations! Huge variety of food! I've been here twice now and both times I left very satisfied. The only thing I didn't really care for were the wontons. The lo mein and green beans have great flavor and smoke from the wok. They are fast with the food! Definitely recommend enjoying it family style. Get a couple of dishes and share. Staff are friendly. In terms of ambiance, it's just okay, but better than most Chinese restaurants in the area. Definitely recommend.

Yelp
Foods was amazing, very fresh and tasty. I came from California , so this place is a hiding gems. Must try, highly recommended. We come to Florida every year for vacation. Definitely coming back

Yelp
I dined at Golden Lotus on Saturday, November 6, 2021 at 8 pm. Coming from an Asian background and having already been to many Chinese dim sum restaurants, I have to say Golden Lotus exceeded my expectations in terms of service and quality in food. At the time, there was only one server serving two other tables - so business was pretty slow. The dining area was clean, well-maintained, and had an overall refreshing updated look compared to your typical Chinese restaurant. Good vibes so far. I was very impressed with the dim sum dishes considering we came during non-peak hours. The dim sum dishes came out hot and had decent flavor. The salted peppered seafood was not fried very well since they weren't crispy, but had good flavor. The seafood fried rice definitely tasted better than it looks. I really enjoyed the cucumber dish as it provided a nice refreshing complement to the meal. Service was exceptional for being the only server in the house. Waters were adequately refilled and food came out in good time. If you're in Orlando on vacation and craving some decent Chinese food, I'd highly recommend Golden Lotus.

Yelp
Dim Sum on Sunday, was great. The fried turnip cakes in XO sauce were very good. Food quality was consistent and came to the table hot. Recommend the congee also. Ambiance was inviting, a bit tight seating, but pleasant. Service is efficient and friendly. Our server Conni was very nice. We will return, for sure.

Yelp
Food was a little less than mediocre. We didn't even finish any of the dim sum dishes nor did we want to take anything home. The shu mai tasted really off. Like the meat wasn't good. It had a weird smell to it too. The service was good. They weren't too busy so we were extra catered too. Wouldn't come again. Truly disappointed because we heard so many good things and reviews.

Yelp
If you love dim sum, I highly recommend this place. They have all the classics, done well, and at a decent price. I was surprised it was mostly empty on a Sunday morning during prime brunch hours. Our food came out fresh and hot! Highly recommend the steamed golden lava bun (sweet, smooth and delicious) and the fried pork buns were divine. The right amount of crisp on the outside, perfectly chewy on the inside, and great flavor. On top of that, I found the service impeccable. Our waitress checked in on us often and refilled our drinks very quickly. I wish I lived closer to this place, I would come back often!

Yelp
This restaurant has been our go to visit at the pass when we came from Tampa. We like the food here including the dim sum. Many dishes here was good to have. We have been here for so many time before my yelp day. My revisit was not disappointed. The dim sum selection was good. I like the fried shrimp ball and stuffed eggplant. I also like the XO turnip cake. The main dish we have Singapore noodle, the chef did a good job with high BTU wok. It has charge smell and good spread of the spice. Same with beef chow fun. The wok technique is good. We also has the braised pork belly. This is traditional dish with Chinese pickles veggies. The fat section melt on the tongue. We also order the spicy chittering. It is another dish I like. Overall our experience is good. The restaurant take your temperature before sitting. We like our food here.

Yelp
Very great dim sum spot. It's far from most of the touristy areas. So while most do the tables were filled when we got in for a Saturday lunch, we were still able to get sat right away. High recommend getting the duck as it was bursting with flavor. The soup dumpling was solid as well. Overall very happy we stopped by

Yelp
Delicious food. Great dim sum! Must try when in Orlando! Try their noodles and wonton soup!

Yelp
Our go-to for dim sum and traditional Chinese food. The salty dumplings, sticky rice in lotus leaves, and turnip cakes are fantastic. Consistent and reliable menu with quick service. Our 9-month old gives the Congee 5 stars. No reservations, closed on Tuesdays.

Yelp
My friends and I came here for Dim Sum. Overall we had a great experience. We ordered a variety of options - pork steamed bun, shrimp dumpling, shrimp shumai, chives, chicken feet, and some other options. Overall the food was delicious - we were served quickly and waitress was very pleasant and responsive. The prices are more expensive than some of the out of date pictures. The dim sum ranges in price 6-8$, still that is not too expensive and for a meal for 4 we paid 97$. By the time we were leaving the restaurant was full of families which is a testament to how tasty it is. My only complaint is that the women's bathroom had no hand soap.
google avatar

Josie S.

Yelp
Dimsum was great but the service was awful. The waitress was very rude & indignant when we tried to order green beans with pork which was on the menu. Instead she was yelling and trying to argue with us. When it's time to pay, no interaction took place & no acknowledgement from the server. She does not deserve a tip but we let it go. We will never go back to this restaurant again.

Yelp
Authentic Cantonese food, which is more and more scarce in United States. The location is far away from the tourist area, and the decoration is outdated. This should be the reason most people ignore the little gem for so long. If you are interested in real Cantonese style restaurant without any fancy looking, this is the one.

Yelp
I haven't been to this place in a while. It no longer really qualifies as a hole in the wall because they have overhauled the whole interior and it's pretty beautiful. I was feeling pretty crappy today but still wanted to celebrate Lunar New Year. I wanted to grab some dim sum at my usual spot but I know that Peter's in Orlando would be a madhouse today. I decided to come to this place because I remember that they do serve dim sum and the food is pretty decent here. When I walked in I was happily surprised at the renovations. Boy did this place need it. They also had really nice decorations up and an altar for the Lunar new year. The place was absolutely empty when we walked in which made me kind of nervous but I figured that maybe everybody came in earlier in the day for dim sum. By the time we left it was packed so I guess we came at the perfect time. Service here is kind of slow. It's a mom-and-pop place with looks like to be one server. The server I had was new and had to ask about many of my questions. We ordered steamed pork ribs with black bean sauce, Chinese broccoli, chive dumplings, panfried dumplings, Sticky rice, scallion pancakes,Lotus buns, and egg tarts..I also ordered a duck soup to go. Dim sum was decent but not the greatest. My scallion pancakes were seemingly deep-fried and very greasy along with my pan fried dumplings. My steam pork ribs were little nuggets of delicious flavor. Egg tarts were OK And the Lotus buns were molten lava but delicious and delicate in flavor. I scalded my tongue and it is still injured. (No.. really.) When I got home I ate my duck soup for dinner. I swapped out the rice noodles for egg noodlesBecause I prefer the chewiness of egg noodles. This was really delicious soup. They gave me a good amount of duck that was seasoned perfectly along with some bok choy and egg noodles in a container separate from the broth so they wouldn't get soggy. My broth is very flavored and I could taste the five spice in the duck broth. I eat a big bowl of it and still have enough for another bowl. All in all this place is very solid for authentic Chinese food. I would have dim sum elsewhere especially if you want cart service but the food off the menu is very good.

Yelp
I'm shocked this place doesn't have better reviews. The restaurant is clean, owner is friendly, food is hot and delivered quickly to the table. Extensive dim sum selection, price reflects current inflation so for sure reasonable priced. Opened Christmas Day!

Yelp
Came by Sunday for dim sum! I love dim sum!!! The food was delicious, freshly made and tasty. The kids enjoyed the shrimp dumpling soup so that's always a good sign. The adults enjoyed hot tea, freshly steamed dumplings, fried chive dumplings, chicken feet, beef chow fun, Bok choy and so much more and honestly everything was good. The servers were very sweet but not enough of them. We waiting a long time to pay then finally decided to go up to the register and was able to pay. Overall, great experience and definitely recommend going early, it seemed to get a lot busier as we were leaving.

Yelp
I can't believe this place has anything less than 5 stars for a dimsum Chinese restaurant ! They were short staffed but still got everything out within a reasonable time and god was it good!! The roast duck was juicy and crispy with the oil that it cooks in (on the side included)?! I didn't even have to ask for it. Amazing food and service. My new favorite Chinese spot in Orlando :) so happy I found you! Only complaint was they were out of the power / fresh spicy mustard sauce

Yelp
Delicious and such a friendly place to be. Servers aim to please. Dim sum is excellent. No carts but service is quick.

Yelp
Alright and certainly varied dim sum, but not exceptional. Unlike some other reviewers, I did not find the restaurant to be dirty, nor old, nor anything else objectionable nor did I find the service exceptionally poor--though it wasn't really stand-out impressive, either. Their portions are certainly generous and my shrimp dumplings were pretty good while the pork shumai were also fine but could have been better and the turnip cake--a really huge portion of that--was a little too greasy perhaps but also alright. I would come back for dim sum: it's far from the best I've had and I do prefer the cart system many places use over the list system of ordering here, however, the restaurant itself is small and carts would be cumbersome here so I understand why they use the little lists instead. They also have laminated sheets with photos of the items in case you are not familiar with everything on the list, and everything on the list is listed in both Chinese and English so I don't understand the complaints some people have about any language barrier or not understanding exactly what they're getting here. Overall, a fine place for dim sum and not a bad location if going to Kpoppin' or even to the Florida Mall or heading down to Disney. Just beware the construction in the immediate area to the John Young which makes traffic awful currently.

Yelp
Not sure what happened to this place with covid, but the service has become unreasonably slow. Ordered some dim sum and sat waiting for over half an hour and still have not received any food. Not sure if they understand people have to work and such, but it's unacceptable to have one person working in the kitchen.

Yelp
Dim sum was not bad here but the service was terrible. They took forever to being out our dishes, and we only ordered the basic ones (shiumai, buns, etc). I didn't expect the wait to be over an hour for a couple of items to come out. They were definitely under staffed and the restaurant was very crowded when we left. They forgot 5 items that we ordered and they enevr came out. When we got tired of waiting, I came up to pay, and they had to remove those missing ones from my bills which was the only good thing I like from this place. The place is a bit tight in space and the interior decor is very outdated. This is my first and last time here.

Yelp
Dimsum was pretty good. The servers were quite attentive. Everything was super fresh. A bit pricey but totally worth it. I would come back for sure.

Yelp
There's a lot of room in Golden Lotus and they have lunch specials if you want Americanized Chinese food. I opted for something off the Dim Sum menu, so I ordered shrimp won ton soup with egg noodles and an order of sesame balls. The prices are pretty reasonable for dim sum and everything comes out fresh. My wonton soup was steaming hot. I had to put some chili sauce to give it more flavor and it came with bok choy, egg noodles and about 5 wontons. I hoped it had more wontons, but it was still delicious. The seasame balls were so fresh and hot, I had to open a little hole in them so they could cool down enough to eat. A nice place for authentic Chinese food if you are in the area!

Yelp
Having traveled extensively through China, we've developed a love for Chinese food. This place is LEGIT and consistent. I'm posting this review after the 3rd visit. The Dim Sum is flavorful and fresh. Highly recommend the Shrimp dumplings and SHUMAI. Very reasonably priced and great service - just be a little patient as they are short staffed because of COVID-19 MUST try.
