If you're searching for flavor that hits deep and lingers long after the last bite, make your way to the Golden Triangle at The Hiest Food Cart Pod--yes, the one in the old converted bank--and find the Laos and Cambodia fusion cart that's dishing out some of the most unforgettable food in Portland.
We started with the grilled steak with crack sauce and sticky rice, and let me just say--oh Lord, have mercy! This dish was absolute fire. Perfectly grilled, tender steak paired with a sauce so addictive it earns its name, and sticky rice that brought it all together. Every bite was a mic drop moment.
Then came the blazing squid and salt n pepper wings, which raised the bar entirely. These weren't just good--they were superior to any salt n pepper squid or wings I've had in the city. Crispy, spicy, and perfectly balanced, these dishes made us go silent. And you know the food's on another level when the table gets quiet--not because there's nothing to say, but because the food deserves your full attention.
It was so good we didn't stop there--we grabbed the blazing shrimp to-go for our husbands, because leaving without more would've been a crime.
This spot is an absolute must. Unpretentious, deeply flavorful, and cooked with heart. Do yourself a favor: come hungry, bring a friend, and maybe don't plan on talking much during the meal
