Golden Years is straight gold. Really unique, well-done takes on cocktails. I consider this a hidden gem out in plain sight. Love the vibe here. Do you want a cool, vineyard cocktail spot? Then here you go. Protip: the frozen shots are nice. Do that.

One of the best cocktail bars in the area. Service was amazing and their food was a great surprise too. It was one of my favorite cheeseburger and fry combo I’ve had in a while. Must visit if you’re in the area

Very cute and cozy cocktail bar with a great vibe. I came in on a Thursday and had an easy time grabbing a seat at the bar. The bartenders (Ty and Brian) were very friendly and knowledgeable. I wanted something light and refreshing so Ty recommended one of the 22 degree highballs. I got the strawberry one and I was surprised how much I loved it because I generally don’t gravitate towards whiskey of any kind. They have lots of great mocktails on the menu here as well. I would definitely come back here next time I’m in Chicago.

We couldn’t have asked for a better place to host our engagement party than Golden Years. From start to finish, the experience truly lived up to the name. The planning process was seamless, and the team was helpful, friendly, and responsive every step of the way. We hosted around 40 guests and had more than enough space for everyone to be comfortable, with plenty of seating and room to mingle. The food was absolutely amazing—so good that multiple guests went out of their way to compliment it. We were also allowed to bring in some of our own desserts, which was a huge plus, and the staff was incredibly accommodating and happy to indulge our requests they try our homecooked desserts. Speaking of the staff, they were one of the highlights of the night. Every bartender and helper was welcoming, fun to talk to, and genuinely seemed happy to be there. Our guests loved chatting with them and sharing all the excitement of our engagement. Even though we hadn’t requested one in advance, the staff provided us with a microphone for announcements and games, which made everything run so smoothly. We were initially a little worried about parking, but that turned out not to be an issue at all—every guest said they had no trouble finding free parking (on a Sunday). The location is also perfect: close to Chicago, easy to get to, and surrounded by other great places to visit before or after an event. Overall, Golden Years exceeded our expectations. The food was fantastic, the people were warm and helpful, and the location was ideal. We would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a wonderful event space, and we’re so grateful we chose to celebrate such a special moment there.

Golden Years is an awesome neighborhood bar with really solid standbys for food. Their cocktails are always on point and it’s our fav spot to hit on a weekday when we’re craving a good burger. The value is on point with their HH and this is probably my fav burgers in West Town easy. The team at Golden Years is awesome too. Mack and the other bartenders are always super friendly, as quick with the wit as they are the drinks and make you feel welcome. Very grateful to the the Golden Years team and this spot.

This has to be my favorite cocktail lounge in the city. Expertly crafted drink recipes, plus delicious food is a nice touch (the cheeseburger will not disappoint!) If you run into Mac, he hits it out of the park every time, but honestly all the bartenders there are a treat and will ensure you have a great time. The tiki-inspired drinks are some of my favorites, but anything with their house-blended amaros are also delicious.

I enjoy coming to Golden Years. They have a great happy hour menu. I like getting their burger with fries. The staff is always super friendly and make you feel like you’re just hanging out with buds. One of their bartenders, Ty always give great suggestion for drink orders, and remembers your orders when you become a regular.

Such a good vibe to this place. Came here on a Saturday night while we waited for a table at a restaurant nearby. We were able to find a seat very quickly. They brought us menus and rhe waiter made some great recommendations. I had the champagne snowball and my friends had the tuxedo martini and the hurricane. All of them were so unique and so delicious! Would definitely come back here!

Stopped in to start the weekend off right. Nice , dive bar vibes. Started with an old fashioned and finished with a whiskey high ball. The drinks are a little weak - especially the whiskey highball. It's pretty much seltzer , with a splash of whiskey. I do not recommend this drink. I'll give an extra star for the decor and nice staff.

My husband and I wanted to grab some drinks to bring in our 4 year dating anniversary. We wanted to keep things lowkey so we opted to make dinner and head out somewhere nearby for a nice drink or two. Golden Years definitely has a vintage vibe with the album cover posters on the wall and the alternative rock music. I ordered the strawberry gimlet and my husband ordered the cactus club. The drinks were good. We also shared the zombie killer. I liked this drink the best. The service was nice too. The waiter made sure to fill our waters and even helped keep our table from being unbalanced. We ended the night with the group shot and the bartender took our photo. We took two so we can keep one while the other can be added to their wall of pictures. The group shot is definitely worth it because you get a $6 shot and a free picture to save the memory. How sweet! It's definitely a spot you visit after a night out and you're winding down for the evening. The cool thing is that I spotted Golden Years in the Chicago magazine listed as #3 in the list of Best New Bars. Glad I got to stop by.

Super cute cocktail bar! It's very casual but cozy - we came in on a Friday night and got seated/served pretty quickly. I really enjoyed the Singapore! It's got a strong and sweet cherry flavor

We enjoyed our time. We wanted to grab a quick drink while we put ourselves on the waitlist for dinner and stumbled upon Golden Years. It was a very cute bar from both outside and inside. The ambiance was cozy and warm. We got highball and strawberry gimlet along with fries and everything was so delicious. They were also reasonably priced. The service was great too. We will certainly return!!! Can't wait!

The best thing about Golden Years is the drink prices; $13/$14 for standard-issue cocktails is right up my alley. The vibe isn't my vibe, necessarily, but as a down-home, around-the-corner bar, I bet a lot of people who visit Golden Years live very close by. I dropped by on my way to dinner down the street, and as a place to grab a quick drink, it was fine. Not a place I expect to visit often.

A decent neighborhood bar with a 70's disco oriented vibe. The overhead music is just loud enough where you'd have to raise your voice to speak, but not loud where it's uncomfortable. We came on a weekday night so only a few booths were taken. Drink-wise, the menu is pretty limited, but covers a wide range of styles. I got the Army Navy Fizz, which looking at the ingredient list looked like a tiki drink. I personally like my drinks rather stiff and this came close to my preferences, but fell slightly short. I followed up with a Boricua Stinger, which was stronger and very creamy. Of course, I had to sample the drinks from my spouse, so I took a sip of her Cactus Club. Wouldn't say it's bad, but it's pretty bitter and not my cup of tea at all. We came just before the cutoff for last call for the kitchen. We ordered the fries, which were crispy and cooked well. Service was quick, the food and drinks came out in a timely manner. Overall, Golden Years seems to be a decent neighborhood watering hole. Unfortunately, the drinks are not interesting enough for me to make a crosstown trek, but if I'm ever around I'd be happy to stop by and try some of their other menu items.

I just love it here! I hesitate to review because I want to keep it to myself lest the crowds come in too heavily! Excellent drinks, gorgeous varied seating areas, and helpful but not overbearing service. I wish they had a happy hour because the drinks are just a tad above what I like to pay, but well worth it nonetheless. The have a tiki focus without it being their whole menu. Great place that's not too loud to meet up with friends without a reservation.

There is plenty of seating indoors and at the bar (patio during nice weather days and evenings), and also room to stand. Two bathrooms with their own unique style. Lighting and decor is theme appropriate and unobtrusive. The bartenders are knowledgeable and are always willing to chat about their drinks and how to make it work for you. Happy hour till 7 is also nice. Food menu is small but every item is a hit. Drinks are strong but balanced. All in all, a great addition to the neighborhood.

Chill 70s inspired bar! Nice place to go with a group and it's not crowded. The music is good and the service is quick.

Came here for drinks on Friday. Merry Widower cocktail was excellent, vibe was great. Excellent addition to the West Town bar scene.
