Yelp
Why 2.5 stars, folks?! Let's round to 3, 3.5, yeah? I mean yes, my mom can throw down in the kitchen and make these dishes HER way and it'll be the best Filipino food you've ever tasted. Okay yes, the customer service isn't superb here, but hey, on a rushed Monday night to get dinner on the table... ill take it! Sometimes you need that fast pancit fix. Ain't no shame in the sootanghon (noodle) game!
Alright, it's nothing fancy, and sure it reminds you of getting food in your high school cafeteria (in pre-covid times, you'd get a tray, get in line and choose your food). However, it does the job to satisfy a quick Filipino food craving.
I love sootanghon noodles in pancit, so I actually love their version (if my mom gets her hands on a Yelp account, I'll be in trouble). My kids love the caldereta here because it's soft, boneless beef, in a tomato based stew that is sooo good with rice. We also get the fresh lumpia to add more "vegetables" to our meal. Will fresh lumpia ever replace fried ones? Nevaaa! It does taste good though; especially with the garlic sauce on the side.
I sent my husband in with specific instructions to pick up dinner. He comes out with a bonus item: puto with cheese on top. The best puto I've had in a while coming from a Filipino chain? Say it ain't so. It had everything you want in a carb heavy snack.. a dense, soft, chewy rice muffin with melted cheese on top. It was amazing. I had 3. What? Yes. How many weight watchers points? We don't know, we don't (currently) care. Try it!
