"Golitsin loft, Nevsky Prospekt by Infographicsmag. This palace on the Fontanka embankment was known in XVIII century as a place where brothers Turgenev lived and where famous poetry meetings of "Arsamas" society took place. But this days there is a creative project "Galitsin loft", which is, perhaps, the largest scale loft project in St. Petersburg. It saved amazing interior design of that time, with its fireplaces, huge windows and 5 meter high ceiling. The entire cluster is made up of 5 buildings and a large yard. There you can in a cozy Georgian restaurant or have a breakfast in a coffee place «Civil», eat the most delicious curd pancakes in town with the best view on the river and circus. Or you can come here for shopping in the local designer's showroom and then have glass of wine in the restaurant "Treska". Or work with a laptop in a comfortable time-cafe. Anyway, you should visit this place to see how wonderful when old place have got a new soul."

The best ruin bar ever, it’s a place mixed all kinds of bars, and you can also find stylish cafes, barber shop, galleries and workshops, opens 24 hours, truly a great place for everyone!

Super cool place!! Very well designed, and totally worth a visit. It's a café / complex with some art and fashion where you pay for time instead of drinks. You get a vintage looking clock in the entrance and you drink coffee & tea, play the piano and watch the view to the river from the old porches.

The first time I came here I really liked the place. Tons of various bars, cafes, shops concentrated in one place. It wasn't that crowded back then. But the last visit I definitely didn't like. Too crowded. The drinks seemed watered to me and service was bad. It was nearly impossible to order at the bar in the courtyard. We were also served a bunch of shots in tall shot glasses on a shaky tray. When they fell from a slight table shake, we had to reorder them in normal shot glasses at our own expense. Even the bartender upset two shots while serving. So they knew the glasses were unstable and still served liquor in them. When they refused to repeat the spilled order for free, I had to pay twice for the same order. Not nice of them at all. WCs are awful. Some bars and cafes do not accept plastic. The place is definitely degrading but can be fun if you're drunk enough. Maybe I wasn't the last time.

A great collection of shops to discover in this unconventionally transformed space! It offers unique opportunities for shoppers as well as different dining experiences... had a great time walking up and down the stairs to find more and more hidden amongst the dim hallways and staircases

The place is completely a kinda labyrinth for those who will be visiting for the first time. A few nice and interesting cafe, bar and restaurants all have a specific theme. It contains other type of commercial spaces, some skill course training points, such as make up training, and there are others as coiffeur etc. These connected set of buildings sharing the same courtyard are really old buildings probably left there from the imperial times. Not enough general renovation or interior replanning for our modern times. When you realise the bar or restaurant you have entered does not have a toilet to use after your beer, or say, if a woman (somehow) wants to refresh her make-up, it can turn out to be a very solid problem all of a sudden. The toilets are coomon used and in terrible condition. People profile who visit the place seems to be a low budget students and relatively younger ones, although in fact the prices do not seem to be very suitable for any low budget adventurer. The positive side is you can meet different members of a community if you are not familiar with this side of the city. Finally other advantage can be, if you seek different options in a small territory, without walking too far you may be able to change your mood very quickly. Recommend you visit if you love seeing alternative options. And if you have a high standard of expectations by means of comfort, hygiene, do not even think about going.
