I really enjoyed my experience here. I decided to give it a try just because it was right across from the chiropractor I go to, and it said "OYSTER BAR" on the signage, and I'm always on the lookout for good spot for raw oysters. This place did not disappoint! I came in about 3:20 p.m., so it was still "happy hour," and took advantage of their offerings. I ordered the dozen gulf raw oysters, a specialty cocktail, a cup of their house Cajun gumbo, and a raw oyster shooter. The total came to $40 for one person, and my server, Hannah, was very attentive and super-nice. The food & service was top notch, and the atmosphere was a classy- upscale atmosphere with upbeat pop music everyone can enjoy. You can choose to sit at a booth, table, or at the bar. Even though I was flying solo for this visit (my first), I think this would be a great place to bring a date, go for a business lunch, watch a sporting event with a group, or to celebrate a special event like a birthday, promotion, graduation, wedding reception, etc. It was also great going just by myself. I will be going back soon, definitely after my next chiro visit. I sort of envision this place as a cool night spot with karaoke, poetry readings, or a live band. It's got that kind of vibe. The oysters were really fresh and delicious. The manager, Seth, came out to chat & see how I was doing. That's uncommon and great for business. Very personalized experience. Highly recommend, especially for their happy hour!

The ambience was good and our waitress attentive. The food came quickly. The snapper was overcooked, no amount of creamy sauce could cover this. The ceviche was good, but such too small, they need entree option. The Lobster Bisque was too one-note, it had lumps, so not just the cream but it mostly just tasted like cream, but a good lobster bisque has a bold flavor. The Tiramisu was massive giant square of cream, yes I could taste the Kahlua, but it doesn't work. A Tiramisu is supposed to have a layered flavor, with the coffee and wine breaking some of the sweetness, if done with coffee and rum, and not over sweetened, it would work better than Kahlua. If not for the ceviche, the food rating would be lower, as everything had too much cream and salt, but not enough flavor. And it is definitely not good for those with high blood pressure.

Disappointing Service and Major Timing Issues My husband and I came here for a special dinner, but the experience was ruined by poor service. While the hostesses were friendly and we were seated right away, the meal itself was a mess. The Good: Friendly greeting and prompt seating. The drinks, when they came, were fine. The Bad: A 40-minute wait after our appetizer just to have our dinner order taken. My husband's meal came out a full 15 minutes before mine did. We couldn't even eat our main courses together. My meal was brought to me in a to-go bag because the waitress misunderstood my request for a box for our appetizer. I had to eat my dinner at the table out of a takeout container. The manager (Seth) walked the floor, saw me eating from the to-go box, and didn't stop to ask if anything was wrong. A restaurant's service is just as important as its food. The complete lack of proper timing and management oversight was shocking. We will not be returning.

Our experience at Good Charlie's was extremely disappointing. The service was poor; our waitress neglected our table while giving excellent attention to the table behind us. The food came out in a confusing order—my meal arrived before my wife's, and the garlic bread for my seafood boil was served 10 minutes prior to the main dish. The food itself was subpar. The oysters were fine, but the brussels sprouts were undercooked and the boudin balls tasted like they were frozen. My shrimp boil was mediocre, lacking both spice and garlic flavor. The final straw was when my wife requested a to-go box for her lobster bisque and the server boxed up her main course as well. The manager checked on every table but ours. Unfortunately, our first visit will be our last.

Ambiance: Seafood restaurant specializing in Oysters - these are hands down the best baked oysters I've had in my entire life !! Great and friendly service. Clean and nice ambiance, perfect for lunch/dinner or any occasion. The bar is really nice and their cocktails are delicious. Highly recommend their happy hour specials! Parking onsite. Get the oysters!

The atmosphere was great. A very clean inviting place. The service was attentive and engaging.The food was ridiculously enjoyable. The oysters I chose were raw even though they seem to have alot of great choices to cook them. I had to try them raw to really appreciate how fresh and delicious of a catch they receive. They did not disappoint.The ceviche was so refreshing. The boudin balls came with a crawfish bisque. The balls were crispy and very delicious compared to another that are just ok around the area. That bisque had an exorbitant amount of crawfish tails. The seafood boil had great flavor and just a Lil kick. Nothing ro be ashamed off. The Red Snapper though, that's where everything came together for me. Lump crab on a thick fillet on top of a bed of orzo, with a smoked sauce with mushrooms. Absolutely Delicious!!! This is a place I can and will bring my family to in the future.

First time coming here and it was so good! We ordered the calamari as an appetizer and my husband ordered the catfish po-boy and for myself I got the six raw oysters. The calamari was so crispy and delicious along with the sauce they put on the side, we ate that up lol. The oysters, so fresh!! I’m an oyster lover and you can always tell when they are fresh and shucked correctly. My husband said the po-boy was delicious and he loved the presentation on the plate as well! The manager even came over while we were seated to ask us how everything was going which I feel is so intimate and amazing customer service. 10/10 all the way around. And plus they are kid friendly, they do have high chairs which we appreciate as new parents.

I've been looking for a good chargrilled oyster spot to satisfy my cravings and I'm so happy to find this place just down the street from my job. I finally stopped in a few weeks ago and stopped in again the other day and I'm just so obsessed. Their chargrilled oysters are fresh and delicious. I love that they offer so many flavors. Monday is Happy Hour all day so you get $2 chargrilled oysters. I will continue to come here at least once a month and try to avoid coming weekly since it's literally right by my workplace. I can't wait to try the rest of their menu too. Everything looks delicious. I had the brussel sprouts last time too and they were very flavorful except the bacon was so hard and chewy I didn't any of them. Regardless, I highly recommend this spot for oyster lovers and oyster cravings :) The employees are also friendly and personable!

This place is delicious! We have been there twice now and we have had great service. We know it's going to become one of our go to restaurants in the area. The baked oysters are delish & the captains platter is huge! We shared 1 captains platter between 3 people and it was more than enough food. $26 to feed 3 adults is a great deal. Love this place!

Great food service is on point drinks are phenomenal. The food is amazing and fresh and the oysters raw or char grilled are on point

What a find! A terrific seafood and oyster bar with a lovely interior, terrific staff, and delicious food. Daily happy hour specials are great, including weekends. We did the oyster bar trash, which was swimming (in a good way) in lemon garlic butter and then got into some raw and grilled oysters. A top five Bloody Mary loaded with fun snacky bits. Very engaging staff, from the friendly bartender to a couple of management staff that stopped by to make sure everything was OK. I would be a regular if I lived closer, but will definitely stop by anytime I am in the area for work. Next time I will definitely get a seafood boil - I saw what others had ordered and they looked amazing. Overall very impressive. Give them a try and support what they are doing, they deserve it.

Update: what started out as a new favorite, quickly turned into a nightmare, the chef over cooked our food twice on two different occasions and when we informed the manager... the third time they refused service. Keep in mind , we are big spenders for amazing dinning. I'm happy they decided to act in such a manner because Perry's Steakhouse & Grill is our new favorite. WILL NEVER RETURN BACK TO THIS ESTABLISHMENT.

Quality food, tried a variety of oysters & gumbo. Friendly fast service at the bar. Was super impressed with the decor! Have recommended to friends who are equally impressed! Will make this a regular place! Sharon W

Solid 4.5 rating. A top- tier seafood joint with reasonable prices. The fried fish is great. Boudin balls are excellent. And the gumbo is some of the best I've had in a minute! The vibe is exactly what you'd picture for a fun seafood establishment.

Took a group of 25 ladies here this week for a luncheon and they give us the private room and it was So impressive. Madison was our Waitress, and she did an Amazing job... Everyone loved their food... No complaints . I tried the Blackened shrimp tacos and they were delicious...

We dined in on Sunday afternoon 04/14/2024 at 2:30 pm, The appetizers broiled oysters and Gouda and artichoke were delicious but the classic oysters were tiny. Our entrees were very good portions and delicious but were not served hot, rather room temperature as they probably had sat for a while. In general, the service was found to be lacking, which is probably why the food was not served hot. The restaurant was not very busy but it seemed like there were only two servers on duty. Our previous experiences at Good Charlie's has been much better than it was today. The service and room temperature food is why they dropped 2 stars from our previous experiences. The ambiance is always good and a family experience.

Came here for a Saturday lunch a few weeks ago. We had driven by this place before and were super excited as my husband and I both love sea food and were looking for a new spot to try out. We always have to get a cup of gumbo anywhere that serves it, so that is what we started with. Their gumbo is fantastic and I was wishing we ordered a bowl instead. This is definitely a must have when you come here. I ordered coconut shrimp and fries, and my husband got a fried fish platter. The fries they serve are out of this world! I could make a whole meal of those themselves! I finished my entire entree which is rare for me. All our food was crazy good!This is definitely our new go to spot for sea food!

I went here with a friend to hang out in the middle of the day it wasn't too busy. The decor was very nice. I'm from Florida, so I know good seafood & seafood restaurants. The decor in this place is my favorite part, most seafood restaurant in Houston are super casual and cheesy. Here is more upscale and looks like somewhere I could go on a date. Which is what seafood restaurants should be. I went here with a friend for the oyster happy hour, which was delicious & affordable. (I believe $2 an oyster) I think we had about $20 worth of oysters and I had a couple of drinks My friend hasn't really graduated from shots because she's self conscious about what drink she might like, so I ordered some to try to find out her taste. After she didn't like 2 of them, the manager came out to a talk with us. He didn't introduce himself just started asking questions like we were in the wrong. I didn't appreciate that. But both servers we had were kind. The scolding from the manager & the dusty outdoor area is the only reason Im not getting this place a 5

First time at the restaurant. Service was excellent! For a Friday evening, it was pretty full but the noise was not too bad. The appetizer Lobster and Shrimp Dip was excellent but the chips was not as good. My wife had the Southern fried Shrimp plate and really enjoyed. I had the Coconut shrimp which was slightly sweet. They ran out of the Mango habanero sauce which might have toned it down. Neither of us could finish the meal and we brought each almost half of our meal home. The waitress was kind enough to get us freshly made mango habanero sauce to take home. Overall we will be back.

Cajun boil -Food needed more seasoning inside...not outside Definitely need another bartender even though when they were around they were great!

On multiple occasions I have visited and tried a different flavor of chargrilled oysters each time. They are soooooo good!! I have a few more dishes I want to try and have already planned more visits so I wont seem greedy with the multiple dishes I want to try.

First time to visit this restaurant and we will definitely come back. The chilean sea bass was the best we have ever had in a long time. Service was outstanding as well. Our server's recommendations were 'spot on'.

Service is great and food is good! Could use a little more seasoning. We have gone twice in a month.

You're hanging out in The Woodlands and you have a girl to impress, this place will do the job if you like seafood (or better yet--RAW OYSTERS) and you don't want to break the bank with downtown Woodlands high-end, this is the place. It's stylish without requiring a jacket. The overall decor is weathered white like you're at a New England sea shack. And modern. It's a nice place just outside of Egypt at an up-and-coming shopping center of comic shops, brew pub, nails, and this seafood place.

Awesome oysters, fun atmosphere. Service was great, I have no complaints. Going back every chance I have.

GF and I first time here. We had the Lobster Bisque, raw oysters and fried catfish. All were home runs. Oysters were large and tasty not like the ones we've been getting other places. Bisque was great. Catfish fillets were large and delicious. The place was clean with a great ambiance. Service was excellent. We will definitely be back.

I recently met a few friends at Charlie's Oyster Bar & Seafood. My,oh my! Cant believe I waited so long. Raw Oysters were fabulous, fried platter was loved by 3 of us, I had the fish tacos....ate one and brought home the other two. I'll definitely be back very soon. Oh, almost forgot...one of us had a Michelada AND a Bloody Mary, the BM was full of shrimp, bacon, and several other yummy things! . He raved about both!

Had my anniversary dinner there last night. We had the best time. The inside is beautiful, they even have an outdoor patio that is dog friendly. The food was amazing, I can't believe we kept ordering oysters. They were so good!! Our server, Chris, was the bomb! He took care of our every need. We will definitely come back, we had a wonderful time!

Good Charlies was pretty good. The fried shrimp and fries were perfectly crisp and seasoned well. I believe we came during the soft opening because there was a limited menu. The cocktails are a little lacking and kind of taste like semi flavored water. The grilled oysters were just ok. A little too much cheese for my liking.

Came to visit my sister and was recommended to Good Charlie's. We had a party of 4 and were promptly seated. The food came out in a timely matter. The chargrilled oysters are a must! Our server was so sweet. My only complaint is that it was so hot and muggy we were all uncomfortable and sitting in a booth. Other than that, service and food were top notch.

This is a great new place, just opened three weeks ago and already firing on all cylinders. Light and airy beachfront vibe, small but perfect Gulf Coast menu, and impeccable service. We smiled throughout our lunch of grilled oysters (very good), ceviche (excellent), fried shrimp (excellent) and a shrimp po' boy (amazing). For comparison the menu and decor are much like Goode Company Fish Camp in the Woodlands, but this is better food at better prices. Choosing between that place, Monty's, and here, this place is going to get the majority of our seafood dollars for the foreseeable future.

True a wonderful food and service experience, I've had the pleasure of eating in this wonderful establishment several times, the food and the service are consistently outstanding. I live 35 miles away and believe me it's worth the drive.

It's finally here! A great seafood restaurant nearby. The restaurant decor is beautiful with a fun & casual ambiance. The staff is friendly and attentive with very quick service. And the food and drinks are delicious. All the makings of a successful restaurant. We came in for dinner on their first opening day. We didn't make any reservations but it was only day one. I can definitely see this place getting busier as the word spreads so I would recommend making reservations in the future, especially on the weekends. This place was lively on a Monday night, I can only imagine how much livelier it will be on a Friday or Saturday night. For now, they are only open for dinner at 4p but they do intend to expand those hours and eventually also start serving lunch. The decor is lovely. There is seating at the bar area, they have counter height table seating and booths as well. There is also an area to accommodate large parties. It's probably too warm for the patio right now but they do have a nice patio area with large screen TVs and fans. We sat at one of the tables next to the bar. From there we could see oysters being shucked and grilled. Made to order, yum! They also have a good selection of beers on tap and a full bar. Next time we're sitting at the bar. It looked like a very fun area to sit at. Our waitress, Chelsea, was fantastic. She was friendly, attentive & knowledgeable of the menu items. The owner was walking around greeting customers and asking how everything was. Chef Ken also came out to greet the customers and talked to us about some of the menu items. We can't wait to come back and try the Crab & Shrimp Casino appetizer he recommended. We ordered the Calamari and Chargrilled Oysters Sampler Trio to start. Both amazing! My favorite was the Campfire Chargrilled Oyster (part of the trio). It has garlic butter, cheese blend and bacon. Delicious! For our entrees we had the Chilean Seabass and the Fish Pontchartrain. Again, both amazing but if I had to pick a favorite, it's the Fish Pontchartrain. It's blackened red fish with this deliciously amazing lobster sauce that sets off all your taste buds. So good! Can't wait to return and try other menu items.

This wonderful place should be top on your go to list for quality food at a reasonable price. My dining companions and I have been there more than once and found the food delectable and the service amazing! My daughters set up my 80th birthday party there in August. The private room afforded us the calm and privacy I crave. The wait staff seemed overjoyed to serve us and made me feel so welcomed. Last night my fiancé and I hosted an engagement dinner for my immediate family. Once again the service was top notch and the food was perfect. Every entree was just amazing! If you want a new favorite restaurant I urge you to visit Good Charlie's.

If you're looking for great fresh seafood in Conroe, this is your place. The grilled oysters are excellent as well as the tuna dishes. Very fresh and well prepared. Our waiter, Hayden, was one of the best we've had in the Woodlands. He made great menu suggestions, both food and beverages. He was courteous and efficient. He even suggested desserts that we could take to go. We will definitely return and hopefully Hayden will be working.

We wanted to love this place so bad and it just really was a big let down. The place looks great, but the decor was probably the best part. We ordered a fish bite appetizer that was served on scallop shells. Way over priced for what you get, the bites were ridiculously tiny, not even a spoonful worth. On to the meal.... My wife ordered a chicken dish, the flavor was good if you don't mind the fact that the chicken was red and pink inside and inedible. I had the blackened fish pontchartrain which was pretty good but again overpriced at $27 for a small filet and some mashed potatoes. However, the Key lime Pie dessert is amazing and we highly recommend it! I don't think we will be eating here again, other than to come by and grab a key lime pie to go.

Lana is excellent/professional/funny/attentive bartender! Tristan is a great chef! Perfect oysters! Mangers are on top of the their game. Wonderful experience! We will continue coming!

Food good, server average. Ambiance good. Honestly our server was very average at best. Had he of be more personable, the experience would of been better. Maybe a little retraining at the customer service would be beneficial.

We went to Good Charlies Oyster Bar. First i want to let everyone know that the food is delicious and we would go again just to find out if the bad service was a one time thing. We waited 30 minutes for a waiter to come to our table, I had to go up to the counter to find out if anyone will be covering our table. After finally getting served, our food came in a timely manor, but we were never asked if we wanted drink refills until we were asking for the check. If they could get the wait staff in order this would be a great restaurant.

Food, service and ambiance was delish!!! We will definitely be coming back. The only downfall was the crawfish was drenched in way too much garlic, and I love garlic but too much for me.

The best chargrilled oysters on this side of the Sabine. $2 each during happy hour. And medium raw oysters we $1. Great fried shrimp and oysters as well.

It was all good ! We went on a weekend and they were busy, a 15 minute wait. But once we were seated the service was good , the food was excellent! The restaurant and staff were attentive and the ambiance is very nice , it seemed to lean toward being a bar more than a restaurant! Not sure about the bar side but the food side is very tasty!

Came here for fathers day because my dad wanted oysters. Waited 2 hours and finally cancelled oyster order. I think there should be a limit on how many oysters one table can order.The table next to us had 80 oysters in and we still had not gotten our order. Maybe it was fathers day but they need more mothershuckers. Fried Shrimp was good. The server Bryce tried hard...

Still awesome food and service. Went for Happy hour today. Definitely my new favorite place. Great Ambiance. Forgot to take a photo of the bread pudding!

Neat vibe. Classy coastal feel. Met friends for dinner. Drinks: Mule was delicious. Respectable wine choices. Appetizers: Chargrilled Oysters with spinach, artichoke were outstanding. Lobster Bisque was good. Seafood Gumbo was the star of the show. I normally like a chunkier texture, but the flavor was amazing. Main Dishes: Fried Oysters were meh. Old Bay Fries were good but no longer warm. Two of us ordered Redfish Alexander. It was the best entree of the night. The one who ordered the salmon was very pleased as well. Dessert: Bread Budding was very tasty. Would order again. Service was very very slow. The place is new. Perhaps they haven't worked out all the kinks.

Food is ahhhmazzing and staff were attentive. We will be back soon even though we live a bit far away

Went there for a late lunch today with the family and it was fantastic. The service was friendly and prompt and the food was great. We got the seafood trash (? I think) appetizer and a tuna tower to stat and they were both great... Got a dozen gulf oysters and 4 of the east coast oysters just to try. The east coast oysters weren't anything great, but the gulf oysters were some of the best I've had. Also got a cup of the gumbo which was 4 out of 5. We'll definitely be back and I think it's one of our favorites now.

Service was horrible. Ordered an appetizer, soup, and entree. My entree was brought out before my appetizer and soup! An entree is an entree not an appetizer! This place might have good food, but based on the service and how the manger seemed unapologetic and coming up with excuses rather than accepting they made a mistake. Food is not cheap either. Unless your coming for a beer or oysters, I would recommend going somewhere else

Food here is excellent. I love their grilled oysters and red fish. The service is consistently great when I go and everyone is friendly. The ambiance of the restaurant is nice, pleasant and enjoyable.

I met a friend for happy hour on a Tuesday evening. We were seated promptly. Place is very bright and clean with lively music. Our waiter was John, a young man. He was very attentive and made recommendations for us. I started with the tropical martini. It was very good and with two dollars off during happy hour, made it $7. My friend had white wine. It was $1 off for happy hour. We ordered the calamari. Had a great breading. It was a little overcooked and chewy. We then ordered the lobster shrimp cheesy dip with chips. The dip was a little runny. I would've liked it thicker. But it was still very good. Then we topped off the evening with their bread pudding. OMG... If you are a bread pudding fan, this is your dessert. A huge slab of bread pudding with an amazing caramel/toffee/cinnamon/nutmeg tasting sauce with pecans. And a giant scoop of ice cream on top. Overall a nice visit. Lots of folks at the bar enjoying oysters that were on special for Happy Hour. I'll be back to try some more dishes.

Coconut shrimp is good and the oysters we have had before is good. The fried rice was boiled, soggy and not there. Ordered a side of fruit for my son that never came. My husband had the crab and shrimp boil we told the waitress it was salty and not there, nothing was done. I'm sure to avoid loosing her party of over 8 people tip that's automatically included. My daughter's gumbo was not gumbo at all but was more jumbalaya no liquid in it. I had the soy ginger salmon which was dry and needed extra sauce.

The food was great. We can't wait to return. The char-grilled oysters the fried catfish melted in our mouth but the icing on the cake was the peach cobbler!!! Our server, Thomas K deserves a huge star He was great he was patient and we wound up ordering more than we thought including dessert. Lol!!

I've been to Good Charlie's 3 times and I had an excellent experience each time. The food, drinks and service were all top notch! Their grilled wedge salad is amazing!

Fuego oysters were delish! The ambience was absolutely beautiful. Had the the redfish. And drinks were strong and soo good. Loved it.
