Good Day Cafe

Absolutely stellar time yesterday morning as t the Good Day Cafe! It was supposed to be a 24 minute wait but two spots at their first come first serve breakfast bar opened up. The food was incredible! My mom and I loved this place and will absolutely be back someday! Great job to the whole team.

My boyfriend and I love Good Day and would visit once or twice a month, but unfortunately, today will be our last day coming here. We each ordered "The Good Day" and a "Yogurt Parfait." Our waitress made sure our drinks were always topped off, and the toast basket arrived just before our meal —perfect timing! The Good Day was delicious as usual. My boyfriend wanted to try something new on the menu and got the Yogurt Parfait. He took a bite of the parfait and was instantly excited to dig in after finishing his plate. I looked over to admire the parfait and saw something white jump out from the granola. As we scooped a little of the granola, more of the white larvae-looking things moved around. We were shocked. I told my boyfriend to scoop some of it out and put it on the small colored plate so we could point it out to the staff. As we were inspecting the granola, a gentleman walked out of the back office and past us. As I was about to get up and grab a staff member, he walked back to our table. We showed him the spoon and pointed out the white spots on it. Then he took the spoon, inspected it, and dug around the cup to see what we were seeing, but we told him to just look at the granola. The granola was toasted and dark brown, so it stood out. He grabs the parfait and brings it to the kitchen. He comes back and introduces himself to us as the manager. He is unsure how that got in there, but they will inspect it. Before he walked away, he said, We will take care of you guys. After a little bit, a gal staff member walked over with our waitress (I assume another manager or supervisor). Says that they checked the yogurt and didn't see anything. She mentioned that the granola contains flaxseed, which can sometimes be mistaken for a bug. We tried to explain that the thing we saw was white and resembled a larva or small worms. We wish we had kept the spoon or recorded a video because she asked if we had any of it on the table, but the spoon and cup were taken back from the gentleman manager right away. She let us know that they would remove the parfait and comp half of the bill. We both sat there in shock and had chills running through our spines, thinking about how my boyfriend just got a bite into the parfait. Our plate was well-presented and food was cooked great, but we didn't have the appetite to finish the rest of the food, so we sat there for a little while before the waitress came back with the bill. She confirmed that the parfait had been removed and that the bill was 50% off. She asked if we would like our food boxed up, but we politely declined. She cleared the plates and took the bill. She came back to give us our receipt and let us know that the restaurant had taken care of our bill. In the end, we found a dead larva on the table and placed it on a spoon to show our waitress. What an unfortunate event— we can get by with hair in food but bugs… no, thank you. We will miss the fun staff and atmosphere. Again, thanks for taking care of the full bill. We took into account our overall love for the restaurant and today’s event in the Star Ratings.

For two years I was passing by this special cafe and I did not know that it was special and that its service and food were wonderful. I tried it and I am happy with the wonderful and special service and the quality of the food and coffee it provides.

Great place in Golden Valley for breakfast or lunch. We were having brunch so I had the Big Luigi and my wife had the mushroom and spinach omelette. Both were very good, I liked the sausage and eggs combo that comes with the Luigi. There are lots of hot drinks options, cinnamon rolls, you name it! Service is quick, only downside is it's a bit noisy, but otherwise I highly recommend!

Food was delicious, I ordered the biscuits and gravy with an added beignet. The potatoes were well seasoned and delicious. The gravy had a good portion of sausage but was a thinner consistency. The beignet was cinnamon sugar covered, not powdered sugar- it was tasty, but not quite a beignet. My friends ordered the bacon soufflé omelet and they had a generous amount of bacon and cheese the eggs were very fluffy.

A little wonky to get to, but well worth it! Interior is large but still has a small diner vibe. Service was great, food arrived quickly, and was oh so good. Hot, fresh, flavorful, and at a great price point. Can’t believe we overlooked this amazing cafe for so long. Worth going out of your way for - highly recommended!

Always a great experience! I'm pretty sure I have reviewed Good Day before but it deserves a second review. The coffee is always fantastic and I was looking for something light to eat as I wasn't really hungry. Pigs in a blanket for the win!

Excellent place. Food was phenomenal and the service was fantastic. They had so many yummy-sounding menu items that it was tough to choose. A friend and I met each other for brunch on a Sunday. It was packed but we still got a table pretty quickly. I ordered coffee (so good) and a French omelet, spinach, fontana cheese and carmelized onions. I did add some black pepper when the food came, but I love pepper; you don't have to. The eggs were perfectly light and fluffy, the spinach was flavorful and had a nice texture. The onions were just enough for flavor but not so much that it hijacked the flavor of the omelet. My friend ordered a unique take on French toast-- I've never seen slices of bread so large. It was delicious. (I don't have the menu in front of me to give the exact names of the dishes.) I dropped the atmosphere score to 4 *only* because it was tremendously loud-- which, of course it was on a Sunday at prime time, so we'd expected it to be crowded. The place is utterly charming otherwise. I highly recommend this restaurant. Top notch.

This restaurant is truly one of those legacy spots that has stood the test of time for over 25 years. It's not just the food that draws you in, though the dishes are consistently excellent--it's the whole experience. The ambience exudes a warm, nostalgic charm, making it a go-to for families. It's heartwarming to see seniors bringing in their kids and grandkids, sharing the tradition and memories that come with dining here. The vibe is incredibly family-friendly, filled with laughter and conversation, which adds to the overall appeal. However, be prepared for some parking challenges, especially during peak hours--it's a testament to the restaurant's enduring popularity. I used to live right next door and found myself dining here at least twice a week, a habit I dearly miss.

Always on the hunt for a good breakfast spot, this one popped up when I entered "Breakfast near me" after an early morning photo shoot at the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden. I was very happy I went. My server came over immediately and brought my coffee promptly. In those few moments, I'd spotted my meal: house-made corned beef hash and eggs, which came with "spicy ketchup" on the side. The hash was the best I've had other than Hereford (which is no longer made) and the ketchup second only to Sir Kensington's (which is no longer made, either). It's a lively place so can get a little bit noisy, but in a fun sort of way. Getting there involves some convoluted side streets, so your GPS can be a real asset. But it's definitely worth the trip if you love a good breakfast.

Now this is the place to have breakfast in the area, assuming you can find it. It's off in a little side industrial area with unclear signage, and the front of the restaurant is not visible from the street. When you get there, the neon sign is off, so you're not sure if this is actually the front or if it's open, though it is in both cases. Anyway, once you're there the scrambled eggs are amazingly light and fluffy, and the other food is good also. There's a good selection of omelets, and there's also a scramble with Italian sausage plus veggies called The Big Luigi. I had that on one visit, quite filling and hefty. Friendly service from one of a pack of obviously hard-working waitresses.

Very good food and menu, excellent location, I just advise that you make reservations otherwise you'll have a long wait especially on Sundays.

Energetic, 90 decibel level ambiance with good breakfast options. If you are sensitive to loud noises, the acoustics in the main eating area are terrible. It's the equivalent of a loud hair dryer in your ear for the entire meal. I'd recommend trying to go during off peak hours. The food itself was tasty. Homemade sausage was good, both in the scramble and in the biscuits with gravy. The potatoes are on the greasy side but definitely edible. We tried a German pancake. It was good but would taste better if served with syrup. All in all, good food options. It's just the noise levels are quite deafening.

Yum, get in my belly! This place is great! We called for a reservation because Good Day Cafe can get quite busy. Thankfully, we were seated right away. Our server came immediately, and soon we had coffee! Good Day was not overwhelmingly busy on this day. Unfortunately, the Bakery wasn't able to provide cinnamon rolls due to abnormal issues (this is not the norm, so expect them if you go), but we did get beignets and, of course, full breakfast dishes. I had Quiche Lorraine, and it was divine! Our server was prompt, accommodating, and always bringing hot coffee. You can't go wrong with Good Day Cafe. There's a reason why it is a staple in the West End. I've been before, and I'll continue to go! If you are looking for outstanding breakfast dishes (and beyond) with that homemade flavor, but Chef flare, head to the Good Day! You won't be sorry!

I had an all-around good experience at this fine establishment, and that's why I am giving them full five stars. I was impressed by not only the welcoming feel, decor, sitting area, and cleanliness of the restaurant but also with the friendly & nice service on a busy day (due to public holiday), the menu options, and the quality of food. This restaurant is a family owned business, and they serve a delicious variety of food that's made fresh with locally sourced ingredients. This review is based on my first visit, and I have been here only once so far. We were a party of five looking to hedge brunch, and their was a wait of about 25 minutes when we got here in Memorial Day. First of all, we were glad they were open on a holiday. They were quite busy. The wait time wasn't bad, and it didn't even take us full 25 minutes to get seated. On top of that, we got a good big table away from the main crowd where the noise level was high. Our server was friendly, courteous, and attentive. She came to attend to us right away. We placed our drinks order and kid's meal order first and took a bit more time to decide on the brunch entrées. I got myself a Bloody Mary. For my brunch entreé, I shared a plate of their Mushroom and Spinach souffle omelet with onions, gruyère cheese, and gruyère cream sauce and a side of lightly fried potatoes and Almond crusted Brioche with strawberry compote and sour cream . The other folks in my party ordered the Big Luigi, which was an omelet with assorted veggies and sausage. The food came out promptly. It was delicious. The omelet was fluffy and flavorful. I really liked the gruyère cheese and the cream sauce. I also ordered a side of chorizo patties. The Good Day Cafe potatoes they were the side dish were also really good. I liked the potato skin that was still on the potatoes. The Almonds crusted Brioche was unique in the sense of its preparation. It was not like a typical French toast. It wasn't too sweet. The strawberry compote and sour cream paired well. My Bloody Mary was pretty good, too. It had a nice kick to it as I had asked it to be made spicy. Last but not least, I stopped by at their bakery & coffee shop counter to get some pastries to go. I got a could of different kinds of scones. We had a great experience here. Our server did a wonderful job with helping and serving us. Good Day Cafe also serves lunch and dinner. I hope to go back to try their dinner dishes. If you happen to be or live in the Minneapolis area, then check out Good Day Cafe in Golden Valley, MN. It's a good place (no pun intended) for delicious meals and drinks.

Busy place! But quite large so pretty loud inside. Cute shaded patio. Good food selection but not much that's gluten-free (not even toast). Wait staff are pretty rushed but things quieted down about 9:30.

I was surprised at how packed it was when we arrived because I had never heard of the cafe before a friend suggested! There was a line out the door but we had made a reservation for a larger party several weeks in advance. Smaller parties seemed to not wait too long. The bread pudding French toast was good, I liked the strawberry cream cheese on top. I misread the mushroom eggs Benedict dish, which had a light mushroom sauce over it instead of hollandaise. The potatoes that came with it were my favorite part of the meals. They were out of beignets at 11am, which was a bummer. The server was really nice and the food came out extremely quickly.

Nice location and lots of parking! Outside eating, but it looks like more trees than seats, lol! There are a lot of people here. It's the place to be. I'm glad we did the Open Table app. because we were seated right away. Very big and spacious. The layout was nice. It didn't feel like you were on top of each other. Very bright and sunny the day we went. The food tasted "clean" if that makes sense. Everything was just really good. Tasted homemade and simple. Definitely will be eating there again. I can't believe this was mine and my husband first time there! It's been around FOREVER. We've driven by, but never stopped. The couple we went with have been going there for 10+years. She said she's had just about everything on the menu. We have some catching up to do. Challenge accepted! The bathrooms were nice and clean as well. Staff nice and attended to us well. Answered any questions we have had.

The food is pretty good so I sort of get why this place is always crowded BUT the time management is just not good. We had a 12:30 reservation but did not get sat until 12:55. And we didn't get our food until 1:15. So I guess what I am saying is give yourself about an hour from your reservation and when you will actually eat. The crab cake Benedict was pretty good. I also got a grapefruit juice but it wasn't good and didn't taste like the last time I got it here.

Great brunch spot! The omelets and quiche are so good. Busy for good reason. Attentive staff and a light spacious interior.

We made a reservation prior coming in. It was pretty busy but we were quickly assisted. They had good music playing and it's got a cozy atmosphere. Our server made great suggestions as this was our first time in. The Crab Cake Benny was delicious and really filling, as was the breakfast burrito and omelet. A definite must try!

I haven't been to good Day Café in a couple of years but I used to go every week. My go to was the Iggies fried egg sandwich. Coffee: Coffee was pretty good, but they switched from real cream to half-and-half which was a little disappointing. 3/5 Iggy is fried egg sandwich: so this sandwich has completely changed. I asked if they could put the ham steak back on the sandwich. Some reason they replaced the delicious ham steak with a deli ham. The change completely changed the profile of the sandwich. I was going to get charged nine dollars for the ham steak so I passed on it. The sandwich was OK but not something I would go back for. This sandwich used to be a delicacy and a unicorn in Minnesota but I guess good things have to come to an end. 2.75/5

First time here! (6/24/24) Great breakfast! Had southwestern omelet and GDC potatoes! I have to try the sweet things on breakfast menu soon! Like the bread pudding french toast ! Awesome service! Love the ambiance! Yummy food! Will come back!

Good: love the omelettes and great crepes! Not so good: Usually love breakfast there but today table cloth cracked and torn and tea cup was dirty. Salad was wilted. Waiter seemed so uninterested in us and just being there. Maybe needs some TLC support from colleagues?

This place was half way between myself and a colleague and I've had it on my list for some time, so we planned our breakfast meeting here. Loved it! First the name....Good Day Cafe - Bad Day Bar has all your bases covered. It's a cozy diner atmosphere but spacious inside. So many options to choose from and I LOVE breakfast. I started with a nice hot latte followed by a short stack of buttermilk pancakes. So fluffy and delicious. I just can't make 'em like this at home. Our server was fantastic. So welcoming and totally on top of our needs but courteous of the business conversation we were having. Easy to get to and lots of parking. Great stop.

Pancakes were just "ok" according to the three people who ordered them at our table. The breakfast burrito was the shining star of our meal. Chorizo and sausage with egg and potato wrapped in a tortilla topped with black beans and placed on a bed of salsa verde. Pancakes served as 3 or 5, do not come with sides. Sides are pricey - $7 for a side of breakfast sausage. The hot chocolate tasted more milky than chocolatey and the peppermint patty didn't have much flavor either (it came with a peppermint patty candy to insert into the drink to melt/provide flavor). Surprisingly, the patty was still 1/3 whole when I finished the drink as the milk wasn't properly heated. Server was amazing and parking was tough on this Presidents' Day holiday (only breakfast served). Decent option if you are in the area.

The food was good. The service was friendly. The dining area is spacious and bright. We were visiting from out of state and did not know that they stopped serving selected menu items at 11:00a. We arrived at around 2:38p. It wasn't stated on the website (pics attached). I wanted to surprise my son with the Dutch Baby (Apple Souffle German Oven Pancake) and we couldn't order it. So needless to say, this was a letdown. We ordered: 1. Steak and Eggs 2. The Big Cheese Maybe the locals know about the 11a norm. We are not locals so we depend on the website for information.

The food here has always been good. The only thing we didn't like as much in the group were the sausage patties. Service was fantastic from the moment we walked through the front door, this is the norm also. Monday mornings are quieter than other days, but it started getting loud at about 10AM. We'll definitely go back again.

We had a great breakfast experience here! We were seated quickly, the restaurant was clean, and our service was great. The menu had a good variety of options, but I would have liked to see a few more exciting omelet options. I'm a big omelet fan and I ended up ordering the spinach, caramelized onion, and fontina omelet. It was tasty, but it had too many onions and could have used another ingredient or two to even it out. The GDC potatoes that came with it were phenomenal! We also had the lemon ricotta pancakes, buttermilk pancakes, and German pancake- all tasty and fresh as expected! We will definitely be back.

Good day café was hearty and had delicious food! I had the eggs Benedict and the portion was large and cooked perfectly. One thing to note, the space is quite large and bustling with people so it can be quite noisy. However, Good day cafe is equipped to handle a crowd- our food came out in two speedy minutes. I would recommended to sip and eat slow if you don't want to be whisked away in the rush!

Our go to brunch place in the cities. It's always busy since it opened a few years ago. It's busy but their service is good and atmosphere is lively. If you can get there early enough that they have their beignets still available, I would recommend getting those. The menu is your standard brunch menu with a few unique choices. I am a fan of their Harvey's corned beef hash that comes with a spicy ketchup. The southwestern soufflé omelette and the crab Benny being other family favorites. Good drinks too both alcoholic and non alcoholic. Overall a good, consistent and reasonable brunch place in the cities if you can get in.

If you've never been here before, tack on another 15 minutes to your Google estimate. It's off of Highway 394, west of 100, but getting here is a bit of a mystery. You literally have to drive through the parking lot of an adjacent restaurant to get to Good Day Cafe's parking. On the other hand, this place is always packed for lunch, so people obviously have found it. I have mixed feelings about this place. The food is pretty good and it is a very pleasant place. If you happen to visit during the few weeks we call "Summer" they have a fantastic outside patio that I highly recommend despite that I would usually rather eat inside. It's really pleasant and seems removed from all traffic, despite the location of the restaurant. We were last here for lunch, and although it was busy, we were seated quickly (it was about 11:30 am). I had my favorite here, the Charley Boone Hot Turkey Sandwich ($16.95), which comes with mashed potatoes, gravy, and a small cup of cranberry relish. I think this sandwich is a good example of my ambivalence. I love hot turkey sandwiches and this was a good one. The turkey was fresh and was obviously made from real turkey and the gravy was good. However, the mashed potatoes were like glue and were obviously overmixed to the point of hardly being editable. Also, $16.95 seems bit high to me, and when you add a pop, tax, and tip, it's hitting about $25 for a sandwich and a Coke. My wife had the Huevos Rancheros ($14.75) and a smoothie. She said she enjoyed her meal, but it looked burnt to me. Our total (with tip) was $53 and change, which just seems high to me for a sandwich, breakfast item, and two drinks. This is a quibble, but why do they continue to use tablecloths that are literally threadbare (an issue at all tables)? This is kind of tacky and unprofessional. I admit that my rating is lower than most, but I never am impressed enough with the food that I feel the prices are justified.

Went for the bacon, will return because of the service!! Had had a pretty tough day, my youngest daughter and I decided on Good Day Cafe. From the lovely smiling hostess upon entering to the attentive waitress (even though we were her last table before her shift was over, she made us feel like we were her very first) and delicious food. We/I will be back. Thank you!

A staple for breakfast. This place is always busy and can get pretty loud. Good variety of options for the menu and fans of the breakfast burrito, pancakes, or omelets. Parking lot fills up quickly and recommend reservations (even on weekdays) if going for breakfast.

I had really high hopes because when I arrived the parking lot was packed. They had people directing traffic and parking against the curb because the lot was full. The wait time to get a table though was quick. I ordered the fresh squeeze orange juice and it honestly did not taste very fresh. Tasted a lot like Simple Orange. My mom got unsweetened ice tea, it was good. I would have rather had that than the orange juice honestly. I ordered the apple soufflé pancake, it takes about 20mins to bake. My mom ordered the bread pudding French toast. Somehow my food came out before hers and mine takes longer to make‍ they then brought her food and I was still waiting on the side of GDC potatoes that I ordered. They ended up coming out last. The apple pancake was ok, I've definitely had better before. It was on the dry side and didn't have many apples and was also cooked too long and the edges burned. The French toast was made with very basic bread and was thin. It was topped with a good amount of fruit though. The potatoes were good, could use some seasoning or salt at minimum. Our server was great and very nice and friendly. She checked in with us enough. The restaurant was kind of loud but it was busy. Also I like how far away the tables are from one another, you can have more personal conversations this way.

Great food but this is the first time we had poor service! Our waiter seemed to care less about us a customers. I was missing something from my order and she didn't check on us for over 10 mins while I sat and ate nothing waiting... at the end of our meal we had to hunt her down for our bill after waiting a solid 15 mins with plates finished and cleared! It was unusual but really frustrating. It was my birthday and my parents were just trying to give me a nice brunch to start my day off right :(

Good Day Café is a breakfast/brunch staple for me in the Twin Cities. Growing up in the suburbs of Chicago, this reminds me of all my favorite brunch places around there - and this menu even includes dishes from Walker Brothers! My boyfriend and I went in early on a Saturday morning for a quick bite to eat - it was packed but we were able to seat ourselves at the bar which we liked. We had a great waitress who was helpful and super quick! Our food and drinks were out within 10 minutes of ordering. The menu is extensive and has options for everyone - including a full coffee bar and bakery! My boyfriend got a vanilla cold brew and I just got a coffee with almond milk, both were great. I ordered the roasted vegetable soufflé omelette and my boyfriend got the biscuits and gravy. I also ordered a blueberry muffin to go for my roommate. The soufflé omlette was amazing - incredibly light and fluffy packed with shopped roasted vegetables and melty cheese. I truly didn't want to stop eating it. The potatoes were pretty good, I wish they were a bit crispier but I could've asked them to be well done. My boyfriend liked his biscuits and gravy, but I don't think it was anything special. My roommate and I agreed that the blueberry muffin was one of the best we'd every had! Very lightly sweet in every bite. Overall, highly recommend Good Day for anyone looking for a delicious and dependable breakfast!

I had only wished I found this place on the 1st day of my 9 day stay in the area instead of my last. I would have eaten here every day. It's not anywhere near any other restaurants or businesses really so you kind of need to be intentful to just make it your destination. The inside boasts warm and welcoming super homey decor with a variety of nooks including a small bar area as well as a garden-like patio for your dining options. All the food appears to be homemade! The prices are a little steep but I feel you are getting what you pay for. The pictures really don't do it justice for how flavorful my meal was. The meatloaf had a surprising dense texture and a little bit of spicy heat. The potatoes were absolute perfection and I only wished there had been more. The green beans were just barely steamed and crunchy so all the vitamins weren't cooked out of them. The only complaint I could muster really was my rhubarb pie was just ever so slightly over baked and just adding a little whipped cream or sprinkle of powdered sugar with a little sprig of mint or lemon twist would have done wonders for presentation. I had the "Good Day Cooler" drink prior to my meal and it was quite refreshing although $10 for a very small glass left me willing to only have one. I was truly saddened I was not able to try any of their breakfast selections but I'm going to be sure to stop in again if I ever return to the area.

I love Good Day Cafe! Its location is perfect for coffee/breakfast meetings for people that live and work on the west side/downtown Minneapolis. The service has always been amazing despite it being busy every time I've visited. Great variety on the menu that covers all breakfast staples. I've always ordered the Southwestern Omelette and its hard for me to not get it... But I'm planning on getting the "Big Luigi" next time after another at my table ordered it. I've never been to Good Day Cafe for lunch or dinner, but if you are a big breakfast person I understand they serve a portion of the breakfast menu (including the Southwestern Omelette) all day!

I will definitely be visiting Good Day Cafe again! The mimosas are so good and there are a variety of flavors to choose from. I ordered the classic eggs Benny and the hollandaise sauce was some of the best I've ever had. Whether you're a savory or sweet brunch person there is something on the menu for you!

Always love coming here! Such a vibrant and happy space to be in. Service is always pretty great and helpful. Love the Eggs Benedict, the breakfast burrito, cinnamon roll, and so much more. Last time I went I tried a specialty latte from the bakery/drink side.

Food was cold on top , wet and soggy on the bottom , latte was Luke warm , really loud , slow service , never once did waiter checked back , took company there , I was embarrassed

The closest thing to a Twin Cities' suburban diner - comfort foods, good black coffee, large portions, carbs galore, though one can easily find great salads and tasty homemade soups as healthy alternatives. The place is always bustling and loud, so we generally grab seats at the counter in the atrium entrance, which disperses the din somewhat. Efficient, friendly service - all the servers appear to be young and a bit inexperienced, but anxious to help. I've never seen the bottom of my coffee cup. One slight quibble is finding Good Day's entrance, as the lot bumps up against 394 on one side and Hwy 100 on the other. Take the Xenia exit, head north and take Golden Hills Road east to Turners Crossroad. You may have to wait for a table, but it's a good sign that the place is always hopping. Worth the wait. Enjoy!

Mid-week brunch in an upgraded version of IHOP. My default for breakfast is the corned beef hash, and the waitress indicated that it was a classic. So, I ordered Harvey's Corned Beef Hash, which came with potatoes, onion, and fresh thyme, scrambled eggs with cheddar cheese, and a side of spicy ketchup. Plus, I also ordered a hot chocolate with whipped cream and felt really happy when I saw it. The corned beef hash dish was not that great as I felt the beef was not grinded down enough. However, it was decent. Friends I dined with had the Iggy's Fried Egg Sandwich, which came with avocado, shaved ham, tomato, caramelized onion, and cheddar on Brioche with potatoes and a side of spicy ketchup. That dish definitely looked appetizing and good to share. I really enjoyed the feeling of this place. There was a hometown feel with buzzing enjoyed, which was comforting.

There's no place like home! Good day café is a family favorite and I look forward to visiting each time I come home. We were able to snag a last minute reservation on a Friday morning after I got picked up from the airport. We arrived at 8:45 and waiting about 10-minutes to be seated. While we waited I loved the sense of community that was all around me. It was clear that this is a meeting place for families, friends, colleagues etc from all walks of life. Because it is around the holidays the decorations and staff were very festive and many patrons were exchanging gifts. We were seated in the larger room in a booth and our server came right away. I ordered the Big Luigi (sub chorizo) and my aunt ordered the classic breakfast. We started with whole wheat toast and fresh strawberry jam. My entree was a very large portion of 3 eggs with peppers, onions, pepper jack cheese and tomatoes with a generous side of potatoes. Every bite was very flavorful and the chorizo added the right amount of spice. My aunt loved her eggs, applewood smoked and thick cut bacon and potatoes as well. We had a great time as always and a delicious meal. Definitely worth a visit, I recommend a reservation!

I usually give three stars to a place I would not return to on my own volition but would not object to if someone in my party wanted to go there. Good Day Cafe is located near the intersection of Highways 100 and 394. Because it is in the middle of a sort of commercial area it was a little hard for my GPS to locate but after a little searching in the large parking lot I found. It. The cafe is fairly large, busy and very noisy. I was at a business lunch and could hardly hear my colleagues. Service was okay but not particularly friendly. I had a Ruben sandwich which was fine but lacked any real zip. Nothing really wrong but nothing to make we wish to return either.

Wow, crazy busy on Sunday mornings but for a reason! Good food, and you can order fun coffee drinks while you wait. Get the potatoes! Probably the best breakfast in the area.

Nothing amazing here. Your every day run-of-the-mill diner. The food was good, service better than average, and the decor was typical of a country-style diner. Nothing bad, just nothing outstanding. I would come back if I was in the area.

Great spot for brunch, but crazy busy so you definitely should make reservations before coming in! I had the breakfast burrito and a side lemon ricotta pancake and both were so good! I normally don't get breakfast burritos but this one was pretty dang good! My friend got the mushroom benedict and sadly did not like his. He mentioned that poached eggs were overdone, mushroom sauce was too creamy, and canadian bacon slices were on the small size. He really liked the breakfast potatoes which were nicely seasoned. Lots of different breakfast options here so I'll definitely be back! Liked that there's plenty of parking, but even with reservations plan for a 10-15 min wait to actually get seated.

Great breakfast place in the suburbs,always busy no matter what time I have been here so make sure you get a reservation!! Can't go wrong with anything on the menu I usually like to try their potato leek cheese French omelette and something sweet ,all good Lots of different beverages too that are delicious. Staff always friendly and on top of things . Sometimes there is a wait even with reservations that' makes it 4* as everyone knows this place

I've really enjoyed my meals at the Good Day Cafe, but it has always been BUSY! You have to be ready to wait if you are trying to get a table on a Saturday or Sunday morning. Since we knew we would wait, my parents and I headed over to the bar to get a drink and scone before sitting down. My dad for a Bloody Mary (he loves an opportunity for a Bloody Mary) and he said it was really good! He was even able to get Tito's in it, which made him really happy. I got an iced coffee which was delicious and my mom just grabbed a glass of water. We hung out for a bit and munched on our scone appetizer while we waited for our table - it was pretty loud, but it wasn't too bad. Once we sat, we had an extensive menu to pick from and it was a little quieter in the actual restaurant part. Our waitress was so sweet when we needed some time to decide what we wanted. I got the Good Day Breakfast - the GDC potatoes were the best part! They are crispy, salty, and really hit the spot.
