This little gem is so amazing! Best hotdogs with the most inventive/unique toppings. By far one of the best hot dogs i have had in my entire life. One topped with Mac and cheese and bacon... another with an egg and hollandaise sauce. I’m seriously drooling just thinking about it. ig: @whetyourappetites 📸: by me

Good Dog has been one of our favorite, fast, go-to places to go eat. I have been to the Heights location and the one in West Alabama and both their dogs are consistently good. I personally don’t find a difference in either site. My favorite is the Benedict hot dog - the cheese sauce is awesome and the egg adds a really nice and rich flavor to the hot dog. They are known for their bread but I personally think it is too much for the hot dog to bun ratio. Their tofu dogs are really good and especially with the toppings they have, it’s hard to tell the difference in taste (mostly in texture). A side of their chips is a good touch but their fries are just as good. I am a huge fan of their Taqueria Cobb Salad but it is definitely a bit more on the pricier size ($14 vs ~$7 for the hot dog). They also have a great selection of beers and milkshakes. The West Alabama location also has games (clue, sorry, dominos, checkers and more) which are fun while waiting for the food! (Not that it takes a long time)

Start off with the pretzel bun apps, then a fancy dog paired with a beer = perfect relaxing meal. The atmosphere is relaxed and it's so cute! Love the complementary dominos to play while waiting. Can't wait to try the rest of the fancy dogs. Come hungry for sure.

Had a buddy that worked in the area invite me here for lunch. He doesn't eat pork or beef and has never tried the hot dogs, but enjoyed the curried chicken sandwich on a previous visit, so he recommended we go. When entering, the staff greeted us quickly and was very friendly and informative. They told us about how the restaurant was in the top 25 on some list and the most popular dog was the Ol'Zapata. They suggested to order a half a dog for half the price and try more flavors. I took their suggestion and ordered the most popular dog plus the Chillin' Dog since I typically like chili and cheese, I ordered onion rings on the side. My buddy had the curried chicken sandwich again with French fries. I figured the 1/2 dogs would equal 1/2 of a normal dog, but after seeing a quite large dog and then getting my 2 which looked like they were each quarter dogs, I felt a little slided, but waited to pass judgement until after I tasted them. While the look of the dogs were great, and you could tell the buns were quality, there was nothing special to me in terms of flavor. My favorite 2 items were the French fries and onion rings. I gave this place 3 stars since the staff was so welcoming and cherrie, but the food was not worth the $34 for what we ate.

Great place for casual lunch, a lot of variety in hot dogs. Not so many “diet friendly” dishes (unless you take out the bun on hot dogs which is not a bad option). Definitely going back!

Love the staff. Always so helpful. I've been here 3 times and everysingle time i left with a smile on my face, whether it be the decor, the staff, the food, or even the dogs that some owners bring. And their holtdogs...omg are soooo good. Honestly recomend getting their hotdogs no matter what kind it is, youll always leave satisfied. I recently had their hot wings and wow. Honestly just wow. If you dont like spicy it wasnt spicy at all and it just had the tast of good wings. And i brifly touched on the decor but they have both inside and 2 outside seating places. One has a projector where you can sit outside and enjoy a movie which is really cool or the front where you could enjoy the aesthetics of there. Honestly its not THAT expensive of a place and i highly recomend going to this specific good dog. Its the more aesthetic of the two in houston.

It was a great experience! They have a small parking lot directly in front of their spot. So that's a plus if you can get in there. It's a small place but has great vibes. The staff was friendly and helpful the entire time (we went with 8 people). The food was GREAT. Highly recommend :)
