Dog-Friendly Restaurants and Bars in Philly | Eater Philly

"Perfect morning plans: First, head to the city’s cutest dog park, Schuylkill River Park Dog Run, which has fenced-in areas for big and little puppers. Then stroll over to the Good Karma Cafe location on Pine Street for coffee and a bagel. Dogs are welcome on the back patio (and inside, but only while owners order food to go)." - Sarah Maiellano

Google
This was a cute cafe that we stumbled across on our Sunday morning stroll around the neighborhood. Although the space was cozy, the actual coffee (cold brew and hot coffee) were interesting. We also picked up some croissants (literally since it was self serve) which were very tasty akin to Starbucks quality pastry. Overall it was a cute spot and one that is good enough for a quick bite. The back patio was also very picturesque.

Google
Such a cute little place. There was a surprising amount of space inside, and outside! Even on a Sunday morning in the cold the place was packed. The outdoor area was so cute and there was even a heat lamp. Definitely will be returning when the warm weather returns. The coffee roast was great - and the people I was with really enjoyed the bagels. For where it is, the price for both food/drink is pretty reasonable. I highly recommend for sitting down with friends or getting work done.

Google
Note: I only got a black coffee. This was a really cute little spot and I wanted to get a bagel sandwich but they had just run out of bagels. I settled with a brewed coffee (black) which was really good. It’s tough to mess up a black coffee and I’m really not picky when it comes to coffee so the 5 star is based on price and enjoyment. I will come back and get a bagel sandwich and update the review when I do!

The matcha lemonade was the most refreshing drink. I had never tried one before but was so glad I tried this special at Good Karma Cafe. It was sweet and tangy and the tea was beautifully paired with the lemonade. I was pretty satisfied with the $4.75 price tag. There was plenty of seating both in and outside.

Google
Love Good Karma Cafe! You have to stop by whenever in the area and definitely grab my favorite which is a Carmel ice coffee. Great price, convenient location, seating indoors, out-front and outback. Such a low key breakfast that sells amazing deliciously flavored coffee and good breakfast.

Google
Great little spot with good drinks and some food. Got the Strawberry Matcha and really liked it. A little on the sweeter side, but really good. Also, a good ambiance for working remotely.

Google
i visited good karma this week before work and was pleasantly surprised. i loved the lavender latte. the barista did a beautiful latte art on my drink, and was very kind! visit if you're looking for good spots in the area.

Rox out with your lox out is absolutely delicious. The pumpkin chai with oat milk? Amazing. The staff and atmosphere are lovely. Highly recommend this breakfast spot!

Yelp
I've only been to this location twice - once for a smoothie and once to sit and work and enjoy a nice coffee, and both times have been really excellent. I love the staff here and am excited to try all of their amazing treats for breakfast and lunch, including the soups. You can't beat the work situation either. Tons of outlets and, while the chairs aren't overly comfy, they get the job done. Wifi was fast and that's really all you can ask for. This location has an amazing patio area that has florals and the best vibes. I look forward to working from there in the warmer months and know this will become a regular stop on my walk from the gym to home and as a stop in the neighborhood for coffee and lunch. Thanks for being so awesome, Good Karma!

Yelp
Love Good Karma Cafe! Great selection of food and drinks- not just coffee. I personally love their smoothies and iced teas. I've been lucky enough to find seating every time I go and there's even a back courtyard when the weather is nice. The service is always fast and excellent. Only complaint is that the matcha is pre-sweetened.

Yelp
The colonial mustard sandwich was a 10 out of 10. The service was amazing!! This is my first time stopping at a coffee shop in Philadelphia and I will definitely be back.

Yelp
I am truly sorry to be writing a bad review because there is such great customer service here, but the drinks are simply terrible. every latte ive ever gotten there has been very bitter and just undrinkable no matter how much i adjusted the ingredients - i just never could finish it. today i got a smoothie there for the first time. within 5 minutes, almost half of it was melted into liquid. i drank about 30% of it before it was all just juicy liquid and threw it out. im sorry, they are so nice here but their drinks are just. so. bad. i hope they can update their recipes and improve their drinks because i wish them the best of luck! i do see other good reviews here so maybe you just have to enjoy bitter coffee the way they make it and then its great, but if you enjoy flavored delicious coffee, this is not the place for you.

Yelp
I stopped by Good Karma this morning for coffee and a small breakfast bite. The location is very easy to find from their signage and a large mural to the right of the storefront. They have a few seats outside and even some available inside (YAY!). There is a large menu above the counter with an assortment of coffees, teas, espresso drinks, and food items. I opted to try the Lavender Latte because I overheard someone in front of me order it and it sounded great. I am a huge fan of Oat Milk so I was excited to learn that they had that on the menu too! To eat, I tried the Power Bowl which consisted of scrambled eggs, turkey sausage & bacon, spinach, cheddar cheese, and everything seasoning. I ordered it to go and by the time I got home the cheese was melty and delicious. The portion was on the smaller size, but it was exactly what I was looking for this morning! The staff was very friendly, the space was very clean, and I loved to see that it is pet friendly inside! Knowing that I could come by with one of my pups and spend a few hours working is very enticing.

Yelp
I love Good Karma. The thing with all their shops in Philly; they are consistently great! The staff is always over and beyond amazing! The coconut iced coffees or lavenders coffees are my go to's. The cool as a cucumber starts my weekends right. Their seasonal drinks are great! When it is pumpkin season, you gotta get their pumpkin chai (iced). You'll thank me later. Go give them a visit at any of their locations, you will enjoy it!

Yelp
Another warm spring day called for a cool treat, so we decided to pick up some 'good karma' and visit this spot. The inside is a little small, but still a room of 6-8 tiny tables and a bar along a windowed wall that could seat about 5. There are a few tables outside, too. So if it's a nice day maybe don't super count on grabbing a spot, but still come on in! There were two baristas on duty and they kept the small line moving pretty well. There were maybe two pastries left in the case which was a bummer. We did come in around 2 pm, so I guess it's you snooze you lose. (If I had docked a star it only would have been for that. Would have loved a croissant or something!) I got an iced chai with soy milk and whipped cream and it was divine. My friend got an hot latte with something floral (she thinks lavender) and the barista making it really went above and beyond in their communication. Here's what she had to say: "The latte itself was good. Just sweet enough. But the floral taste was very intense. Too intense. And a little artificial. And I usually like floral, but this wasn't great. I don't regret the risk!"

Robert M.

Yelp
The Good Karma cafe on Broad street makes a good product but their prices are inconsistent. I have been going there for months and order the same bagel with coffee. It has always been $6.75. On occasion the price comes up as over $7 for exactly the same order. The last time it happened someone checked and told me it was a mistake and corrected it to $6.75. Today the manager once again told me it was over $7 and insisted it was correct. I was told that maybe someone gave me a discount. Then she said the prices had increased. If a business can't give consistent prices there is something wrong. If the staff is not charging correctly then it is the responsibility of the manager to train them. Apparently the manager couldn't decide the reason for the lower price so it seems up to the whim of the cashier.

Yelp
Due to COVID my normal coffe shop work flow as been interrupted. Then the other day my wife visited GK and was on cloud 9 about this location. So we de Decided to pack our bags and take a bike ride and work from the shop. Everything she had to say lived up to the hype! they had outdoor seating in the front but the real magic happened when they directed me to outdoor seating in the back. A cozy spot with an amazing environment. Pair that with great coffee and Chai tea, it was a great spot to get some stuff done on a nice day. Definitely Gonna keep coming back to support this place during these tough times.

Emily D.

Yelp
Really love this location. The patio in the back is amazing for reading/studying/working. The lattes are great. The one bummer is I had a really bad lemon poppy seed muffin (dense and underbaked). The peach danish was also fairly average. Overall, great vibes and coffee but would advise not to get the pastries. I haven't had a chance to try the bagels.

Yelp
Go-to cafe for delicious soups and amazing service! Every interaction I've had has been positive so far at this cafe! Atmosphere: A few tables scattered around, probably can seat 15-20. Cozy and cute environment. I've seen days where people will simply come to work, other days where it's bubbling with conversation, other days a mix. Great for catching up with friends, dates, or just getting some work done on your own (with their free wifi)! Service: Highlight of coming to this cafe - the employees are very kind and friendly! I was super indecisive between soups, and was offered a free sample of one. Food: Their soups will change, but I love their chicken + peanut soup. It was a bit on the oily side, but carried a lot of flavor. When I had a head cold, this really hit the spot! Coffee - they offer almond and soy milk at no additional cost (very rare for a coffee shop), and their special drinks are delicious! The latte I had was a bit diluted though, so I'll stick with their seasonal drinks in the future. Recommended Must-Try: Sugar plum drink - not too sweet, but delicious blend of vanilla into your coffee! I also have yet to get a soup I haven't liked - quite affordable ($6.50 for 16oz) and flavorful. A tad on the oily side sometimes, but I'm still obsessed. Overall: 4.5/5 - I love coming to this cafe. It's so versatile and offers a wide range of delicious soups, salads, bagels, coffee, and pastry options. And very affordable! Overall, love the warm experience here (from the food and the service)!

Yelp
Came here for a latte one afternoon. It was rainy out and the coffee warmed me right up! My girlfriend and I sat here talking, drinking, and watching the weather. Couldn't ask for a more perfect place. There were plenty of people working on laptops but we managed to find a spot. The employees were Courteous, the prices average, WiFi of course, good music and it was clean!

Yelp
We came here on a rainy Saturday to get some hot drink and a bite to eat. They have roadside seating and backyard seating. We ordered the hot chocolate and Buddha bagel. Their bagels are really nice. Hot chocolate actually came out warm so that was disappointing. Lemon poppy seed muffins were amazing. They also keep treats for your furry friends to chew on while you're enjoying your coffee. Good service!
google avatar

Hitesh N.

Yelp
Good cute cafe. Had Dominican mocha hot chocolate and Happy Buddha bagel with lemon popy muffin. Hot chocolate was not hot and a bit disappointing. I expected a bit more from it. Buddha was OK. We had it with wheat bagel, I think they recommend sesame bagel with it but were out of stock. But, honestly bagel was not bad it just missed the wow factor.. i think changing the bagel would do it. Muffin was delicious. Saved the day. It was perfectly soft and moist. Highly recommend it. Staff is polite and courteous. They all had masks on. Offered free dog treats for our pup. Restrooms were clean and available for customer use. They had hand sanitizers available for use.

Yelp
I started drinking coffee at the age of five. Had my first cappuccino by the age of eight. Ordered my first cappuccino at Good Karma Cafe yesterday and it was most delish. Above the mark scores in flavor, a bit too much froth and this may have been the cause of the temperature of the cappuncino not meeting my standards. That being said as far as cappacino's go I would fully recommend coming here for the cappuccino when your in the mood and have $5 you don't mind spending for a medium brew. The Barista was also very helpful when I was inquiring about there seasonal drink the salted caramal mocha and she said if you don't love sugary drinks I would pass. Thank you for that as the days of having sixty plus carbs in a drink any nutrionist would slap you sideways if they heard you engaging in such behavior. I will come back here for sure to try there food and will update review. Thank you Good Karma Cafe the experience I had here was well...quite Good.

Yelp
Love this coffee shop! It has such a warm and friendly atmosphere with great food and coffee. They have your typical coffee options (drip, espresso, lattes, etc) but also have fun, more unique drinks such a Lassi which is a latte with rose, vanilla, and cinnamon and I love it. Today I got the iced Espresso Shaker with oat milk and it was prefect for a hot summer day! They also have great food options, such as bagels, sandwiches, soups, salads, vegan cookies, and your standard selection of pastries. I got the "cool as a cucumber" bagel on an everything bagel and it was definitely very cool as a cucumber. Highly recommend. WiFi available. Dogs welcomed. Milk alternatives available. Outside seating in back and front. Free water with lemon.

Yelp
Good Karma is my favorite coffee spot in the neighborhood. I like sweet coffees and they have a ton of flavor options. Their bagels are decent too (and this is coming from a Jersey girl). They have tables outdoors, indoors, and a cool little outdoor that you have to walk inside to get to
google avatar

Bridget W.

Yelp
Excellent drinks! This place has awesome seasonal drinks! My brother specifically came here to try out their springtime drinks. We both enjoyed their Masala Rose Chai with oat milk. The drink was super flavorful and rich. I will say they were a little expensive at almost $6 a drink but definitely worth it every once in a while. I'll definitely be back in the summertime!

Yelp
My 3 stars are not at all given out of spite. I just feel that this is an average-level coffee shop in the Philly area. I've been here a few times and have never been blown away. Their coffee and drinks are good, but nothing remarkable. Their food and pastries are rather forgettable. I will absolutely continue to visit Good Karma when I'm walking by, and I will especially return to enjoy their truly delightful outdoor patio! Don't write them off, but know that if you're in the hunt for stand-out coffee, Philly has more to offer.
google avatar

David W.

Yelp
Great coffee and pastry/cookie selection. Outdoor seating is best in the AM before the sun is in the west. Staff is very friendly. I particularly like it that in the past they've been a host site for the Bicycle Coalition's bike-to-work event.

Yelp
I was in center city looking for a cafe with vegan pastries/options where I could spend an hour or two working on a paper, and Good Karma came to the top of the list in my yelp search. When I arrived I realized that they were out of pastries (not just vegan pastries but all pastries). I was a little disappointed because that's pretty much why I chose Good Karma, BUT they had vegan bagel sandwiches on their menu so I decided to get a bagel with tofutti instead. Turns out they're out of bagels too. This is weird to me since they're open until 10 apparently (so it's not as if this is the end of their business day and they've just run out of something). They did have bread apparently and the guy at the counter offered to do a substitution, but no part of that sounded appealing to me. I ended up buying a ~$3 prepackaged vegan cookie (by the alternative baking company) for lack of better options. I unfortunately didn't realize until after buying it that it has 480 calories... I grabbed a table by the back so that I could get some work done, but the WiFi was spotty so I kept getting stopped. I should also note that they played some decently loud (and not great) music, so if you're not into reading/studying/writing under those conditions (which I am not), then this place may not be for you. I left after 10 minutes because the whole thing was pretty frustrating and I wasn't getting work done.
google avatar

Karlyn W.

Yelp
Love this neighborhood cafe for pastries, specialty brewed coffee or tea drinks, and bagel sandwiches. If you have time to truly savor the space check out their outdoor green oasis patio with tables/chairs. Great vibe, friendly service!
google avatar

Emily D.

Yelp
Best coffee shop I've found since moving to Grad Hospital. Their coffee/banana/peanut butter smoothie is unbelievable and in addition to great coffee, their variety of iced teas are amazing. Can be a little slow, especially in the morning, so I would recommend ordering ahead!
google avatar

Anna D.

Yelp
So, have to say, I was excited to come in here. The reviews were good, it's a place on my way to work (so would be great to stop by in the mornings) and in a great area... but I was pretty disappointed! I came in and the first thing I noticed was that it was ROASTING hot. Granted, it was an unusually warm for winter day, but it was uncomfortably hot in there. Turn down the heat, prop the door, open a window, anything so that when I take off my jacket I'm not sweating... When I went up to the counter the baristas seemed more interested in their conversation than my order. I got a soy flat white (a lot of places don't even have those on the menu so I was excited to order it!), but when I tasted my drink it was almost like I had hot soy milk with a slight coffee flavor to it... NOT AT ALL when I was hoping for. The space they have isn't huge (near Rittenhouse, what is?), but the tables were super small. I barely had enough space to fit what I needed on the table. My friend was going to meet me to work there too, but there wouldn't have been enough room for us to sit at the same table. All in all, a disappointing experience. They have a nice seating area in the back patio area so maybe I'll try this place again in the summer... but won't be rushing back.

Yelp
Ah, this cafe is just so beautiful! Everything about it is aesthetic. From the outside design and benches to the interior with regularly changing wall art, this certainly is a cozy cafe. There's lots of natural sunlight. The clientele are white collar with many being UPENN-affiliated. The staff are really friendly and sincere. The coffee is cheap and if I remember correctly they offer free refills. The tea selection is varied and they have delicious white teas. I haven't tried much of their food, but their bagel and cream cheese suffice. This is a great place to grab an early morning coffee before sunrise and do some reading. During peak hours you'd be hard-pressed to find a seat, but if you do then enjoy the strong Wi-Fi. Overall, I find this cafe to be inspiring.
google avatar

Kathy K.

Yelp
This is my locale coffee shop of choice. Starbucks is nothing special, the staff at Rival Brothers is always so snotty. I like La Va but Good Karma has consistently had a chiller vibe. No extra charge for soy or almond milk. Small upcharge of fifty cents for oat milk. My go to for lattes when I want to splurge. Love their bagel sandwiches. Very affordable and filling! Dog friendly (can bring dogs in while you order). They have treats for pooches as well. Small backyard area with lots of seating. Dogs allowed back there.
google avatar

Nicole K.

Yelp
Coffee shop with outstanding cafe food consistent across its three locations. Great for a quick bite/caffeine buzz/study spot if you don't mind some louder music in the background. They have an eco-friendly, farm-to-store, sustainable focus and a warm community feel. I got the happy buddha bagel and loved it!
google avatar

Max H.

Yelp
I came here for cold brew but they only had a very strong ice coffee. I was surprised by the quality and the fact they had oat milk and compostable containers. The only downside is that they recommended Starbucks specials even though they worked at an independent lovely karma filled atmosphere!
google avatar

Shannon S.

Yelp
Got the spicy ginger chai w/ almond milk (hot) & garden bagel. Almond and soy milk substitutes are free!! Major pro. Ginger chai is great. The ginger is subtle enough for it still be enjoyable for those who don't love ginger, yet still noticeable enough for those who do (me). Garden bagel tastes super clean. Could use more flavor (it's just eggs and veggies) but that's part of what it is. Would recommend for a pretty healthy, hearty breakfast! Nice low-key environment with a pretty generous amount of seating. Looks great for studying. I'll be back!
google avatar

Danielle Z.

Yelp
A really cute and homey cafe, with truly unique drink options! Only complaint is that you are paying Starbucks prices for local brews-- I wish it were just a little bit of a better bang for your buck. I will still come again, but definitely stick to the simpler options rather than the specialty concoctions. Also, free WiFi and plenty of outlets! Great for students and studying
google avatar

Emma J.

Yelp
This is my go to for a quick bite or coffee when I'm on the run. I usually pop over with my thermos and have them put my drink in that so I can bike to work! Their cold brew is my favorite. It is STRONG and so so good. Beware if you're looking for a place to set up camp and work, this place is relatively small and gets full easily. They offer breakfast bagels and pastries if you're looking for something more substantial to eat. I think the classic breakfast bagel is pretty filling and reasonably priced (comes with egg/bacon/cheese). It's also great that they have smaller treats like bananas, yogurt, and snack bars if you just need something to tide you over while working. Overall, I keep coming back for the convenience and that delicious cold brew.

Yelp
I'm always on the lookout for a CUTE coffee shop. This place is IT. They have all sorts of coffee and tea drinks. So many options. My sister and I had to look at the menu in awe for a few minutes before ordering. Well we also asked a girl who worked there for help too. I ended up going for a regular black coffee. I don't call myself a coffee connoisseur, but I do drink my coffee black, and I thought this one was phenomenal. The perfect temperature and not bitter at all. My sister thoroughly enjoyed her cafe au lait as well. And they have all sorts of options if you're lactose intolerant or don't like using sugar in your drinks, for example they have soy milk and almond milk. They had a station close to the door where you can add sweeteners. You can also buy whole beans from this place. This also seems like a good place to just stop in to grab a drink with a friend or do some work.
google avatar

Nicole G.

Yelp
I just came here once during a recent vacation in Philly but really loved the vibe of this place! My fiancé and I were both able to get a nice cup of coffee and I was able to get a breakfast sandwich with gluten free bread. The service was friendly and the wifi worked great! Not much else to say since it was such a brief visit, but I would definitely stop by again next time I'm in town.
google avatar

Allegra D.

Yelp
Delicious coffee and super chill bariste (plural of barista? I'm just going to pretend this word is Italian. Va bene.) I'm a big fan of their lattes, especially the scare-a-mel. I like mild coffee with lots of sugar, and this one definitely fit that bill :)! The croissant was lovely, and my friends pistachio cake was tasty. Cute seating area, though it's been packed every time I go in!
google avatar

Bradi R.

Yelp
Such a nice little place! We were looking for somewhere in the city that had a peaceful outdoor area. This one has a wonderful back area with about four tables and places to plug in electronics. We love the coffee as well! I'm a matcha fan, and I would recommend the Wildflower drink.

Yelp
Awesome neighborhood coffee shop with *gasp* a decent sized floor plan with tables and outlets for all. I worked remotely here for a day while visiting in Philly and really enjoyed it. They have an awesome playlist (though after a few hours it starts to repeat) and a very casual/comfortable ambiance. All the chairs are dining chairs, not lounge chairs, so it's ideal for working, not as much for relaxing with a coffee and a book. Drinks are good but pack a serious caffeine punch. I don't know if I was already dehydrated (unlikely as I consider regular water consumption a religion) but I found that I was incredibly jittery even from just one drink (a flat white - which only comes in one size). I strongly recommend grabbing yourself a glass of water from the pitcher they have at the front counter to balance out the coffee. I'm typically pretty reactive to caffeine, but never like this, especially from such a modest volume. I also ordered their bagel with lox and it was good but far from the best I've had. It has cream cheese, capers, raw tomato, and of course, lox on it. I swear there was an entire tub of cream cheese on my bagel. I don't know if I've ever complained about too much cheese in my life, but I feet bad about scraping some off that ended up going to waste. They also go a bit light on the salmon in my opinion. The result is you just didn't have the right dough-to-cheese-to-fish ratio. Le sad. Major perks for actually toasting it dark after I asked for it toasted dark (you'd be amazed how difficult it is for that to happen sometimes). Other food I saw people ordering looked great. They are dog friendly, but only for to-go orders or if you take your pup and your coffee outside to enjoy on the back patio. You can't linger inside with your dog, just order and make moves. The big downside, to this, and every other trendy coffee shop, is prices are high. I wouldn't work here regularly, but for a once in a while treat it was lovely.

Yelp
Great coffee, welcoming atmosphere, great place to get work done. The place is bright and cheery and had a great neighborhood feel. The hidden back deck is a big bonus. Iced americano was delicious as well as the Buddha Bagel (hummus + veggies). Very well priced! Less than $3 for the americano and the less than $5 for the bagel. Internet is fast and consistent. Plenty of places to plug-in and power strips made available. Bring your reusable cup because they do serve in plastic/paper.

Yelp
Love this coffee shop- such a friendly and welcoming environment. I went for an iced latte on a Sunday morning with a friend. The coffee shop was a great place to chat and catch up. If you go, you are sure to have delicious coffee and 'good Karma'.
google avatar

Robert D.

Yelp
Infested by fruit flies. I counted at least 20 flying around before leaving. Honestly disappointing that a well known Philadlephia shop has lowered their cleanliness standards. If you're in the area try any of the other establishments (rivals, saxbys, etc.). After visiting all three Good Karma locations, this one has dropped to the worst.
google avatar

Abir H.

Yelp
Best cup of coffee I've had in awhile! It was delicious. That's all I have to say.

Bill M.

Yelp
Given the current situation I'm in I found myself in need of a little good karma. So when I found out that I could seek out by name I was above psyched. And in the end I think I came across another great Philly Coffeehouse find. The outdoor seating looked inviting, but the Yellow interior with the cool artwork was equally enticing. So where to sit was a dilemma that I was happy to find myself in for a change, and at least both where equally accommodating. But this is a place that has plenty to love. Equal Exchange coffee, a good variety of other drinks, Free Wi Fi, delicious food, and some of the best service I've ever received. You'll be feeling that Good Karma from the moment you enter to when you leave.

Yelp
GKC's website declares, "[w]e here at the Good Karma Cafe understand the importance of community, both locally and globally speaking. From active recycling to wind energy to green materials, Good Karma means making the right choices with the future in mind." I love seeing the emergence of more and more community-oriented, non-chain business using local ingredients and am all too happy to support them. I spoke with GKC's owner, David Arrell, this morning and his vision for the cafe is to create a bright, airy space that encourages community. The focus is on the cafe's steamy drinks and David is steering clear of making heavier foods like paninis due to the "off-smells" they would produce. That said, GKC has bagel-type food, sweets made by local businesses including Liz Begosh's incredible fudge (http://www.yelp.com/biz/bettys-tasty-buttons-philadelphia), and will have salads made using locally-grown greens and veggies. David is finalizing GKC's menu, so if you have any suggestions, now is a good time to pop in and give your two cents while picking up a delicious steaming cup of fair-trade coffee. The vibe at GKC is light and airy, the art on the walls is bright and happy, and the staff and clientle are warm and inviting-- David just opened his doors on 3/4, so pop in and welcome him to the neighborhood! Yelp
This place just does it for me. There are so many small touches that make you think that they just think of everything. Only reason I didn't give 5 stars is that a free refill and a board with a "pay it forward for a stranger" would make this good karma effort perfect. I put my suggestions in their suggestion box, so next time may just be able to bump my review to 5!

Yelp
The employees here are fantastic! The coffee is nice and strong and the treats are the best in area. Would come everyday if my schedule allowed it. Can't wait for sunny days to return so we can sit outside.

Yelp
My local cafe features fair trade coffee , quick tasty bites including sandwiches & homemade soup , and outdoor seating in a private back area and a few streetside tables , good for dog lovers like myself. A good place to meet friends or work remotely, with their free coffee refills. Good Karma is lovely.

Yelp
Delicious coffee drinks and a plethora of syrups (Butterscotch latte anyone?) if you are into diabetes in a cup. Funky-eclectic male baristas. Decent prices and a fun-in-the-sunny window seating area. Love.

Yelp
I've never had a bad cup of coffee or latte here! The staff is always pleasant, even at 6 AM, and the fact that they're dog-friendly makes it even better!

Yelp
I hesitate to even write a review for good karma because I want to keep my favorite study spot from getting too crowded! I love the atmosphere of this location. It is super sunny and open and I love that there is outdoor seating in front and in back (with outlets!). There are lots of students studying here as well as locals coming in for their morning or afternoon coffee. The staff here are awesome. They are so friendly and go out of their way to adjust menu items if needed. The food is also so good. I love that they make the eggs for their breakfast sandwiches fresh when you order one. They also have amazing soups that change every day. It can get a bit crowded on the weekends but usually people move in and out and it isn't too hard to snag a table eventually.

Yelp
I don't love this place, but I live around the corner so I occasionally stop in. The coffee is okay. Although I have yet to try one, the pastries look really good. The chai tea is too spicy, there's too much ginger or something. If I was in school, it seems like it would be a nice place to study. They kill me with the cash only deal though. There really aren't any banks in the Fitler Square area, so unless I happen to have some cash, I can't go here.

Yelp
For our food options, we got the Garden and Popeye everything bagels. They weren't too big, but they were good. We also ordered two Banana Strawberry smoothies. When I want a smoothie, I want something healthy and refreshing. They must add some super sugary fruit juice because it was overly sweet. All in all, it is a cool little spot.
