Good Vibrations Pizza - Review - South Austin - Austin - The Infatuation

"Parked at the back of the bar Vacancy Brewing in South Austin, Good Vibrations is a wood-fired pizza trailer open five nights a week (closed Monday and Tuesday). The pies lean Neapolitan and come with classic toppings, plus a few house creations and weekly specials. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Team Infatuation

Austin Pizza Truck Good Vibrations Pizza Co. Opens in Austin Brewery | Eater Austin

"A Central East Austin pizza truck run by couple Austin Smith and Megan Smith that focuses on wood-fired pies and is relocating to South Austin this summer to operate at a neighborhood brewery beginning Saturday, August 31. Signature pies include the Sweet Heat (tomato sauce, mozzarella, pepperoni, hot Italian sausage, pickled jalapeños, and hot honey), the Figgy Piggy (extra virgin olive oil, mozzarella, gorgonzola, fig preserves, bacon, and a drizzle of balsamic vinegar), and the Lovely Rita (their take on the classic margherita). The operation began as a North Carolina pop-up called Sweethearts in 2022; after the Smiths moved back to Austin in 2023 they rebranded, popped up around town (including spots like the Cavalier bar, Nomadic Beerworks, Stay Put, and the brewery where they’ll be based), launched a truck at King Bee in May 2024, and wrapped service at a Central East Austin bar on August 25. The owners—who previously worked in various Austin restaurants and bars—cite a background in baking and pandemic-era experimentation as the route to pizza, and describe the truck format as a way to deliver simple yet carefully crafted pizzas consistently. Initial hours at the brewery location will be noon–10 p.m. on opening day (Aug. 31) and noon–8 p.m. on Sept. 1, with a regular Wednesday–Sunday schedule thereafter." - Nadia Chaudhury

Had a couple slices and thought they were quite good. Had their variation of a margarita pizza. Nothing particularly unique, but good nonetheless but good amount of cheese. Also had the sweet heat, which has pepperoni and hot sausage, along with a touch of honey. Wasn't sure about the sweet aspect, but it's very properly restrained. Not sure I'd personally do a whole pizza like that, but as a different slice, really nice. Only minor quibble was that I thought they should cook the pizza just slightly more. I like just a slightly firmer crust, but it's a minor point. Crust flavor and thickness were great.

Husband and wife team who CLEARLY knows what they're doing. Pizza with a great woodfired crust that's perfectly crispy, chewy, and a little smoky. Fresh ingredients. A fresh sauce, fresh toppings (loved the chopped basil), and that hot honey/pepperoni combo? Absolutely the move. Simple, clean, delicious. Tried them at Yelp Happy Hour: Cheers and Beers at Vacancy Brewing

The best pizza we have tried in Austin! We have tried all the recommended spots in town and this is our new favourite. Crust: ultra thin Sauce: really delicious- a highlight Toppings - use good quality ingredients We ordered the Little Ricky and subbed mushrooms for the sausage. It was a good choice. We paired with beers from a micro brewery called Vacancy Brewing which is adjacent.

Finally got to try these wood fired pies from Good Vibrations and they were incredible :) Love that they cook with oak, which adds a cool depth of flavor, and use Dukes mayo in their ranch which adds, well, that elevated mayo experience 😄 5⭐

Good Vibrations Pizza is a hidden gem in south Austin that is a must try! This pizza truck has a real wood fire oven that makes the pizzas crispy on the outside with a tender inside. We ordered a classic pepperoni and a custom pie and both were delicious. They are located outside Vacancy Brewing so you can eat inside while grabbing a drink or take the pie to go. Support local and check them out!

Best pizza in Austin. Hands down (coming from a pizza snob). Wood fired (gives the crust a great lightly smoky flavor), fantastic flavorful dough, AMAZING sauce, and great toppings. Sweet Heat is my go to! Service is always amazing; The owners are super awesome, super nice people and they go above and beyond with the little touches every time I've been there. Pro tip? Get a side of that home made ranch. If they bottled it I'd buy it!

Delicious pizza and good vibes for sure! I was thrilled to see King Bee had pizza back! This wood fired pizza was amazing with lots of great options. We got the Meat Cute and Lovely Rita (shown) and both were devoured immediately they were so tasty. Service was great too, very friendly and fast. Definitely coming back!

Google
Some of the best pizza in Austin by far! Great service by some lovely folks, big menu with plenty of choices, delicious ingredients, and it's that nice soft crust I cannot get enough of. Also don't forget to order the homemade ranch!! To die for.
