Austin Distillery Goodnight Loving Vodka Is Opening Boozy Tasting Room | Eater Austin

"A brand-new Austin vodka distillery is opening a public tasting room at 12440 Trail Driver in far west Austin, slated to debut in early 2019. The clear spirit is distilled with Texas spring water and is produced by Gary Crowell (founder of Deep Eddy Vodka and co-founder of Nine Banded Whiskey) alongside business partner Tim Osburn. The tasting room’s cocktail menu will be overseen by bartender Nicky Benitez, currently beverage manager for tiki bar Pool Burger and a contributor to Nine Banded Whiskey cocktails. The entrance is designed as a sliding bookcase leading into a 3,000-square-foot interior outfitted with tiles, Eames Shell bar stools, a turntable and speakers, and midcentury-style and custom pieces from Garza Marfa; outside there will be an outdoor vodka garden. The space, designed by McCray & Co., will offer weekend public tours, cocktail classes for varying skill levels, and a gift shop selling the vodka along with vintage glassware, barware, and apparel (scarves, aprons, T-shirts). The vodka is already available retail around Austin and on menus at spots such as The Clay Pit and Last Straw, and a portion of selected sales donations (10%) will go to ShelterBox USA. Edit to add- I sent goodnight loving a video of the defect from my bottle just so they knew there was a potential quality control issue- I genuinely enjoyed the vodka and will be buying again so I wanted them to see this might be happening. They apologize and actually had their VP of operations personally deliver a replacement bottle to my home. I’ve never experienced this level of customer service in my life. It warms my heart that there are companies in our state that really care about their customer experience and love what they do enough to make enjoying their products a memorable experience. It’s good but they really need to work on their bottle design. The lid doesn’t stay shut making it difficult to close and put away safely. When I popped my bottle open the entire metal from the lid and neck popped off with it so I had to pry the top off of the neck with a knife. The little stopper on the lid falls off of the metal lid so there’s no proper seal on the bottle.

One of my favorite TX vodka. Holds its own against WS and Deep Eddys. Clean tasting and smooth. I hope the do end up opening up a tasting room at one point, but for now I am a fan of the recipes and the vodka straight. Keep up the good work yall!

Had a taste test at Total Wine and I was hooked. This is sooooo smooth. A vodka you can drink over ice. I have to say goodbye to my 1941. Don't waste your time on Tito's. Goodnight is the real deal!

Horrible strait up. Even with heavy mixer it tastes like harsh rubbing alcohol. My friend and I had 3 drinks and were throwing up all night. We normally drink Grey Goose vodka without any problems.

My first time trying this brand in Bandera on an all girls trip this past weekend. The salesman at the liquor store we stopped at on the way spoke highly of this brand. So knowledgeable Including how it's distilled and number of times it is. The back story to the brand I was impressed. I bought it, enjoyed it and I will only buy this brand going forward. Sorry dripping springs!

Posted hours SOMEWHERE would be helpful. Not on google, faceboook, or your actual website. Waste of time coming here just to find it closed. Edited to respond: the website has a cocktail menu listed on their website, gives the implication there is a tasting room.
