"Expect nothing but a good time at this family-friendly and well-lit spot for a lunch or dinner date. There are some stellar small plates here, like the spicy tuna cones and crispy zucchini chips, and the bar can make any cocktail you dream up. (It also has mocktails and the usual array of sodas and non-alcoholic beverages if you want to go lighter on booze for the night.) Let’s say things go well, and you want to extend the evening. Hit Goose Bar, which is attached to the restaurant, for after-dinner cocktails in much moodier lighting. While the restaurant offers free valet in an adjoining lot, there is often a backup of cars waiting, so give yourself some extra time to arrive in the dining room." - Courtney E. Smith, Rachel Pinn

"This new spot on Greenville Ave. wasn’t designed for kids, but it’s a neighborhood restaurant and, of course, kids are welcome. They’re sure to enjoy the focaccia, burger, mac and cheese, and even the steaks and pastas. The dining room is pretty kid-proof, with easily wiped down booths, and kids seem to really like the small patio area. Just keep ‘em out of the Goose Bar around back." - Courtney E. Smith

People at work have been raving about this place so my wife and I decided to try it for lunch. We had an excellent experience. They have a nice bar area when you walk in. It separates the main dining area nicely. The lighting sets a nice atmosphere. We started with the spicy tuna cones ‘01. They came in individual cones which were unique and tasty. The Potato Chip Chicken Milanese had great flavor and the Crab A’l Amatriciana was really unique. It reminded me of something you’d find in New Orleans with the great flavor. The service was great. We will definitely be back to try more menu options.

I absolutely love this place!! I’ve been three times within the month! The goose bar is an amazing martini bar/ speakeasy connected to Goodwins. I love how the owners paid homage to the blue goose which was a staple on Greenville for 40 years! Very nice good people. They also have the best servers, bartenders, etc always providing good service and manners. Shoutout to Austin, Cliff, Clara, Grant and Jake… definitely will ask for them again!!! Recommend getting the cold chilled dirty martinis with the blue cheese olives or wine! Their food is amazing and I loved the tuna cones! I can’t wait for my birthday dinner in October already booked! 😉 Highly recommend. 👌🏻💯

My family and I love coming here! Thanks to Austin and Havana for always taking care of us. We usually stop by on Sundays with our toddler and folks have been very kind to us. The food is wonderful (the chicken has been our favorite dish) and the decor is really cool. It kinda reminds us of an older New York type of place, except that everything is new. They do have included valet. We haven’t been to the speakeasy bar, but it looks really neat!

This new Lakewood neighborhood spot comes from a team with a ton of experience in the Dallas restaurant scene, and it shows. The American menu definitely punches above its weight class, and delivers tasty dishes up and down the list. Table service is expertly trained, friendly and approachable, although we did have a bit of a hiccup at the host stand. The atmosphere is everything you’d expect from that “round the corner” steakhouse, and the speakeasy bar in the back is a huge plus. Great place to grab a bite on a weeknight or a before or after dinner drink.

This is my second visit. The first I was having too much fun I forgot to take any pics and I took not great ones this time. That’s how great it is. It’s beautiful, the staff is wonderful and every damn thing I’ve had food or drink has been wonderful. Don’t sleep on the pink dip with pitta - it had elevated pimento cheese vibes and was so good.

We got the cheese beignets & hot dogs for the apps! These both were very good! The kale salad with chicken & fries on the side was so good! The steak sandwhich wasn’t good at all and we would try something else next time! :)

A great new dinner option in Dallas. Still very new, but busy, busy, busy, and for good reason. The decor is distinct and tasteful, and the painted portraits hung throughout the restaurant tie the place together with a unique, bespoke feel. The food is good—some dishes are very unique, others not so much—and the wine menu is excellent. The sommelier is fantastic, so be sure to ask for him even if you don’t know much about wine (like me), and he will describe the menu using adjectives you would never think of. All in all, a solid option for a date night or an evening with friends. A bit pricey, but worth it for a place with good food, good wine, and a twist of originality.

Incredible neighborhood restaurant and bar. Superb service and hospitality. Deep, diverse sophisticated wine list and cocktail bar. Food is just what you’d expect from chef Bekavac and his top crew. The bone-in pork, Underhill steak and GW Burger are stellar. First rate venue in historic Greenville Ave venue.
