Goose Feathers Café and Bakery was the perfect way to kick off our girls trip in Savannah. From the moment we walked in, the warmth and Southern hospitality were undeniable. Jennifer, the owner, welcomed us with a handshake and sent us off with a hug. Every staff member was just as kind, full of smiles, and clearly proud of the place.
The food blew me away. I'll admit, as a Northerner, I'm not exactly a grit expert but these grits were next-level. Topped with poached eggs, fresh salsa, and just the right amount of cheese, the dish was hearty, flavorful, and so good that even the leftovers were delicious cold the next day. My iced hazelnut latte paired perfectly with a rich gluten-free peanut butter brownie, and the pastry chef deserves a medal overall but even more for the gluten-free pop tart. It was warm, flaky, soft, and indulgent. After 10+ years gluten-free, I never thought I'd enjoy one again.
The atmosphere here adds to the experience: order at the counter, grab a seat, and enjoy delivery with genuine smiles. The playlist was fantastic, tables were cleared quickly, and both the chef and owner offered personal recommendations that made us feel like regulars.
This spot is so much more than a café. It's food made with love, service that feels like family, and a true Savannah gem.
Looking forward to coming back!
