Do NOT take Sacramento north from highway when it's very cold! Clearance says 13'2", and yes, it's much more than that, but in the winter time there's a lot of ice under that last bridge, like a foot thick ice, and then you'll regret it. (Don't ask how l found that out😬😡)

Coming up Sacramento BLVD, you'll need to stay right and bear onto the service road to fit under the train tracks in a Semi. It says 13'2" but it's actually 13'10" on the service road. Exiting the facility, you go north on the same service road beside Sacramento BLVD and turn right onto Chicago Ave, bear right onto Grand Ave and turn right onto Western to get back to I-290. As for the place itself, the people here are nice and you get loaded in a timely manner. I'd gladly come back again.

Super cool and unique atmosphere for a special event. Would highly recommend renting the place out for a wedding venue or ceremony or anything other. They have barrels lining the walls and all over the place there are bottles of their bourbon county beers. They have a couple little side rooms other than the big hall and very clean bathrooms.

Super beautiful space, amazing lighting and plenty of parking nearby! There is usually valet as well for the event I was at and really fun setup! Does have a ramp for accessibility and open kitchen so you can watch as they cook! The acoustics are ok but overall super beautiful with really cool chandeliers.

Directions for truckers Never delivered or picked up there, delivered nearby today. It's scary to get in/out Directions for truckers (13'6") 290 to Sacramento Blvd exit North. Keep right,there are 2 bridges on the way and signs for trucks,keep your eyes open. The first one states 13'0 on the left and 13'2" on the right(separate section) for trucks. It isn't 13'2",I am 13'7" Conestoga and cleared it. Company is right passed it. To get out. Keep goin north on service dr,You will go under the second bridge (13'10"),do not come back on Sacramento Blvd yet,before You get that bridge cleared(the one on Sacramento is 13'0),then come back on Sacramento North (right). Don't turn south on Sacramento (left), You won't clear them bridges going south. North on Sacramento to Grand Ave, Right on Grand(East) to Western Ave. Left(North) on Western to Fullerton Ave. Right (East) on Fullerton to 90/94 or Keep going north on Western passed Fullerton (You will see signs before it for 90/94),then take ramp to 90/94 East,East ramp only,than merge to East or stay in exit line to Fullerton Ave and turn Left at the light on Fullerton,and left again to get on 90/94 West. EXCELLENT venue experience! As the event producer for Green Spoon Kitchen, I can’t recommend Goose Island Barrel House enough! We recently partnered as the catering team for a 130 guest wedding and it was fantastic! Lisa Carlson and her crew were friendly, collaborative, professional and so fun to work with! The venue itself is not only a beautiful space but is also well appointed (amazing kitchen, huge bar, parking, great restrooms for guests, beautiful tables and chairs, valet and security team). From the start Lisa was responsive to questions, clear with the details, and flexible. She really made sure that the many vendors who came together for this wedding were set up for success, and it showed. If you have an upcoming event and are still in search of the perfect space, don’t miss out on this venue. We are really looking forward to working there again soon!!

My husband and I got married here last month, and it was such a fun experience and a beautiful venue! So pretty for photos, and very spacious for guests. Aside from it being beautiful, Lisa who is the Brewery Coordinator was a pleasure to work with. Any questions we had, she got back to us very quickly and was always pleasant. We didn't have to worry because she was extremely dependable throughout the whole process. The bartenders working the event were also great, and so kind to us and our guests. If you are thinking of having an event here, I could not recommend it enough!

I was here this past weekend for a tour of their barrel house where all the magic of bourbon county barrel stout is aged. This place is beautiful and makes me want to host an event here sometime in the future! Courtney greeted me at the door and started pouring their 2020 original BCBS. The bar is phenomenal and the beer behind it is even better. I went on the tour and thought that Keith was super informative, telling us all the nitty gritty when it comes to the beloved BCBS. He and his wife walked us through a tasting of all the variants. I was sent home with a snifter that was broken! But, I serendipitously ran into Courtney the next day at their Fulton location and she was quick to make it right. A really fun experience and I hope they continue to do these experiences!

As the name implies, this is a warehouse where beer is aged in wood barrels like fine wine. Being the quintessential craft brewery in Chicago, Goose Island Barrel Warehouse is like a shrine, worth visiting by any self respecting beer drinker. Recently, I attended a special event at this place, with all the ingredients for a good party: music, food, drinks, friends and friends to be; but the star of the evening was the place itself. And the beer of course. A cavernous room with walls covered with wood barrels. On one wall, was a long bar. Food tables were set up around the room. We were treated to four of Goose Island's finest: Solei, 312, Old Man Grumpy, and my favorite, Foudre Red. They had a room where we mixed and bottled a beer of our own. The room has a bar that occupies half the space, and a wall decorated with bottles of their most celebrated products: Sofie, Lolita, Halia, Gilian, Juliet & Madame Rosee, are displayed here with reverence. A tour of the main barrel warehouse was completed by a tasting of their latest "Bourbon County Brand Stout"; from beginning mix, to current aging state. The stout is aged in barrels previously used to age bourbon, for up to a year, giving the beer its complex taste. These people takes recycling to heart with these barrels: first they are used to age bourbon for a few years, next, they are used to age Stout, followed by aging and storing Barley Wine, before they are shipped to Scotland to make whiskey. There are a few tables and small bars made out of wood barrel planks; a great artistic use for the wood of barrels that had outlived their usefulness. No doubt when the tables are no longer needed, they will find another use for the wood; maybe firewood? If given the opportunity to visit this place again, I will not hesitate to do so, and neither should you. All and all, a fun and impressive warehouse; makes me better appreciate, wood barrel beer.

Beautiful venue space and catering for here is exclusively provided by Girl and the Goat. Anyways, stopped by this spot awhile back to attend an alumni event. Excellent open space hall venue that's complete with aging barrels lining the walls. As part of the venue they do offer tours of some of the beers being produced and to see some of the beautiful tasting rooms the venue has. The bar front is long and extensive and they strictly serve only Goose Island brews. The catering staff was great and knew everything about each of the hor doerves being crafted by the Girl and the Goat team in the back. Just a heads up, it's not open to public and is strictly just a venue space that can be rented out for large events or parties. If you happen to be here, keep an eye out for Iron Chef Stephanie Izard in the kitchen. 'Til next time, cheers!

Saw the event space when attending a TimeOut Chicago soft opening with brunch from Girl and the Goat. This space is such a cool event venue. Its architectural vibe makes it look like it was a horse stable back in the day but was told by one of the employees that it was built by Goose Island to house their oak barrels and bourbon. Besides being a Goose Island beer only establishment, their exclusive food vendor is every Stephanie Izard restaurant. So for your wedding, you can have food from Girl and the Goat, Little Goat, Duck, Duck, Goat or anything else that comes from the master Stephanie Izard's master mind. Limited street parking and Green line is maybe 1/2 mile away. I suggest ubering here. If you hold a private event at the venue, there will be a valet company available.

4th Annual Battle of the Breweries was AWESOME!!! Congratulations to Goose Island for winning the dodgeball tournament! The music, beer selections, and food was all fantastic. The guys handing out tallboys of Goose Island beer was such a cool idea, and much appreciated! Making beer-mosas from Sofie was a delicious break between beers. Very cool seeing some Virtue Cider there as well. And the specialty tappings - so cool! Definitely plan to see you guys there again next year (hopefully with warmer weather)! Thanks for hosting such a fun event!

Went to a wedding here this weekend, and we had a great time! It's a lovely venue - the bar is really pretty, and the decor was minimal, but still very aesthetic. The bar staff was extremely friendly, and I don't think I ever had to wait for a refill on my drink. There was a dodgeball event here the same day, but we couldn't hear a thing inside the venue, and they even welcomed the wedding party outside to take some photos on the court, which turned out very cute. The food was excellent as well (provided by Girl and the Goat), and there was a dessert bar in a separate room. Plenty of room for dancing, the bathrooms were clean and well-stocked. . . everything was great! Would highly recommend if you're looking to host an event!
