Yelp
Such an interesting Hawaiian vibe with poke, spam musubi, and pineapple Dole soft serve. Alongside that there's shaved ice, other dessert, and sushi burritos. I will complain that there's a pretty high price point for the quantity of food, but there's a spectacular variety of proteins offered. I wouldn't necessarily go out of my way to come here as much as I'd go to the U-District for more value bowls, but the fish is fatty and fresh.
You can build a bowl by starting with size and a base, either rice, salad, or both. Then the proteins you want, sides, and final toppings. For sides there's roe, edamame, cucumber salad, seaweed salad, crab salad, and ginger. I was unaware that edamame costs an extra dollar and I was definitely surprised when my large bowl was over $20. In retrospect, I'd only come here for their more unique poke fish offerings and not the classic fish I can get elsewhere.
We got a large bowl with 3 fish and a small bowl with 1 fish. The four fish we had were the Spicy Aioli Ahi, Classic Salmon, Spicy Aioli Salmon, and Mele Mango Salmon.
Spicy Aioli Ahi - spicy yet sweet cuts of tuna. Fairly basic, but good quality.
Classic Salmon - your basic salmon that you can get anywhere, it wasn't particularly special here. I enjoy my salmon so it was still good, but I'd pass if I visit here.
Spicy Aioli Salmon - I enjoyed the overall taste here, even though spicy salmon is common at other spots, there was a slightly spicy yet sweet flavor I appreciated.
Mele Mango Salmon - this was the fish I'm most excited about and would definitely opt for if I return. Sweet tangy flavor, definitely mango present. One of the more unique offerings that make it reasonable to go out of your way to visit or even choose goPoke over others.
In short, higher price point for smaller portions but a great wide selection of proteins with some that are definitely specialties.
