Gordillas

First time visitor and I had a great experience. The service was good, after I ordered my food I didn’t have to wait long for my dish. I ordered the original burrito with chorizo and egg 👌👌 delicious! They brought out 2 salsas both were good but I ended up loving the green salsa.

They gave me some old hard rice and when I went to ask them why they got mad. A man there got up and started arguing with me telling me to take a look at the prices. In other words I was getting what I was paying for. He was very unprofessional and rude. The lady serving the food admitted it was old and was willing to change it but I refused. The man there just kept pointing at the menu telling me to look at the prices and that's what I was getting. You can see the pictures of the old hard rice and Mr Rude going off at me for just telling them it was old and hard rice. I guess he was right I got what I paid for! He also said if I expected to be served by a chef for that price. He was rude and all he said was unnecessary.

Ordered chicharron verde the flavor was good but their was hardly any meat forgot to add extras. The apastor/rice was whatever no taste. The beans were old. The food presentation was sloppy. Noone said anything that I was there 5 min before closing so if your closing then do customers a favor let them know and don't just assume I was ok with take out. I easily could've dine in somewhere else. P.s I added the hours for this place since the hours were nowhere insight.

The food was just OK, nothing stood out. The Carne Asada was tasteless and portions are small. I ordered my meal and guacamole, didn't get my guacamole, had to ask again for it. All in all, not a bad place but there are a lot better options within the neighborhood.

Got to Midway extra early and needed a bathroom. Saw a parking spot open near this place and had NO INTENTION of eating here. After coming out of the restroom someone got a plate of food that looked like it was sent from heaven. Ok.. Now my interest is piqued. A sweet lady took my order and a nice young man took my payment. 3 Taco Combo Platter with beans and rice and a drink. I had a seat and they brought the food to me.. and apparently I was hungry because that food was 100% gone in like 6 minutes. Steak and Pastor was perfectly tender and finely chopped, cilantro, onions and tomatoes fresh and the beans and rice on the money. Both hot sauce options are well flavored and hit the heat mark. Thank God I don't live near here or I'd be even more fat than I already am . Try this place, I promise you won't regret it. Sorry.. no pics.. it was that good I forgot to take them 🤣🤣.

This new location is closer to home so that's a bonus for me. I would recommend ordering ahead of time so you're not waiting long for your order. They have many specials to take advantage of. I ordered the family pack of 10 gorditas that comes with rice and beans as a side. They were delicious. I just wished they would fill the gorditas with more ingredients. Some of them were kinda of light.

Ordered off of Uber Eats on 7/27/2024. They forgot one of my tacos and now I can"t get my money back. Love that restaurants are stealing people's money at a time like this!

Not bad at all, Mexican fast food pretty much but definitely lots of options with your filling gorditas are little skimpy but overall good, definitely coming back

Good food and service! We stopped by on a Sunday afternoon and it was not too busy. The gorditas are well-filled and everything was very flavorful.

Okay here i am again and this time I had to try their menudo (tripe soup) that they now offer. Okay this back home style and wow. I am usually snobby when it comes to old school foods and this one is no acception. Taste like my grandmas recipe! I ordered and went to pick it up and just observed. Now I can honestly say that this place is no joke. They literally work and make the food home made. The menudo is awesome and they send you a whole pack of tortillas from El Milagro so you know it's good. I highly recommend the menudo and they offer with patitas and/or maiz. Since my mom is from Texas, maiz is perfect! So this will be my second review and an upgraded one for sure. Ordered two gorditas too and once again these are now perfected. Thank you to these awesome people for being in our neighborhood and bringing in authenticity!

The register lady was having an attitude When giving the order, they should find someone friendly.

OMG! I went there last week. And I was so disappointed! I really wanted to like the place but I was very disappointed. I had the burrito dinner. And the burrito was a joke! It was so small, I was embarrassed for it! I hardly had any meat or anything in it. It was basically just the flower burrito wrapped over it's self several times Lol. And literally just a couple of teaspoons of rice and beans. As cheap as rice and beans are. You'd think they would give you more. But no, they are also cheap with that. Oh and they don't even give you any chips to munch on while you wait for your food Lol. Save your money and don't go there. There's better options in the area.

One of the biggest ripoffs ever. Your grilled cheese sandwich will have more meat in it than their $11 burrito. $3.49 for a miniature street taco

Stopped in because I was in the mood for gorditas. Overt satisfied! Had the 3 Gordita meal and my husband had 2 quesadillas. We both enjoyed our meals. I also picked up a kids meal and it came with a paleta de payaso truly touched by the paleta. Will definitely be coming here again.

I wish this place the best but I won't be back. Gorditas are small and barely any stuffings. Steak Meat is poor quality, full of nerve barely any protein. A regular taco somewhere else has more meat than the gorditas had. Overall terrible portions and quality. Felt ripped off and H angry

I liked going to this location to eat but never will I ever put another foot here again. The tables are dirty to begin with. The food, when my order was brought to me the rice was crispy hard (old). I didn't complain till I ate the rest of my food because I didn't want a refund and least for them to give me more. I just let them know what I thought about the rice, the lady serving admitted it was old and wanted to replace it with more. I asked her why my rice was bad, and asked her where they kept it. So a man that was sitting on a table jumped up and went off on me. He told me they kept in in the "vaporeras" and kept pointing at the menu telling me I got what I paid for, that what did I expect to have a chef for the price I paid. All that was unnecessary and I wasn't asking for anything, I just wanted to know why the rice was bad. He needs some people skills who ever he was.

Very good food and friendly service! I was excited to try a new spot in the neighborhood when they opened up. I decided to try a couple different gorditas since that seems to be the specialty on the menu although they have other food too. I got the steak, chicken, and Barbacoa. The steak was very good and the barbacoa was good except not as flavorful as the steak. The chicken gorditas were absolutely delicious! The dough that was used to make the gorditas was so fresh. Next time I am going to order more chicken gorditas. I will be going back to try some of the other menu items. They have a nice seating area inside too. Check them out!

This is my third time coming to Gordillas and I love the food. I had the 10 gorditas for $30 to get a variety. I got requeson, papas rajas con queso, barbacoa and chicharrón verde. The requeson gordita is what keeps me coming back. So delicious!

We thought it was pretty tasty. Stumbled upon it on our way to somewhere else. I asked for sour cream on all items and barely got a few drops on anything. I didn't like the asada quesadilla. But I generally don't like asada anywhere, I'm not sure why I keep trying to like it! The tortilla it was on was very thick and not crispy but I had requested everything on corn so that was my fault but good options for gluten free people. I throughly enjoyed everything else. Loved the hibiscus water. Looooovvvvveee their rice and beans, surprisingly it can be so easily screwed up so often. They have great prices on daily specials! 1.99 Gorditas on Mondays, 1.49 tacos on Tuesday's, $2.99 burritos on Weds and $3.99 quesadillas on Thursdays. The pics of the quesadillas look small but they are not! It's plenty big. The hot sauces are HOT and addictive and I swear I've had both from a container from Pete's market but I love them so I was happy! Just need more sour cream, I'm willing to pay for it! Would definitely go back! Nice option in the neighborhood for quick yummy food and very friendly service!

I getting sick for 4 days after eating tacos of Barbacoa on this place I don't know if somebody are getting sick too

Everything about this place feels like home, from their delicious gorditas to their cafe de olla. We had just came back from a family trip out of state and this was the first place we stopped before coming home. They have plenty of vegetarian options and a variety of fillings to satisfy everyone in the family.

Horrible! Gorditas were small. Almost cold. Hard masa. Very disappointed. Over priced for the amount of food we get.

This place had really good flavorful gorditas but very thin and little filling. The customer service wasn't good at all. The staff didn't acknowledge me or take my order for about 10 minutes. I went in for dine in and we needed some more food and needed to get in line again. Which took more time to order then another 10-15 minutes to get the 2nd order and it was wrong. So it wasn't a enjoyable eating experience. I'm not sure if I will give it another try unless they change the way service is provided.

Very disappointed. They were super thin and filled with about 1 tablespoon of meat they did not put any lettuce tomatoes or anything else on it I definitely would not recommend stopping here.
