The Hottest New Bars Around D.C. Right Now

"Boisterous British chef Gordon Ramsay exported his London-born Street Pizza chain to Penn Quarter in mid-June. The 7,100-square-foot space, Ramsay’s third D.C. opening in less than two years, specializes in 14-inch sourdough pies, wings, pastas, salads, dips, colorful cocktails, sticky toffee shakes, and more. The two-level pizza pad near Capital One Arena packs in two bars, a lounge area, and multiple dining rooms, with basement entertainment like pool, FX Hoops, and Pac-Man." - Tierney Plumb

Went to Gordon Ramsay Street Pizza for happy hour and was pleasantly surprised by everything! Walked right in and took a seat at the bar without waiting which was nice. For drinks we got the espresso martini, passion fruit martini, and hard lemonades, all of which were delicious! Both the passion fruit martini and hard lemonades were super crisp and refreshing without being too sweet or bitter, which can happen with passion fruit and lemonade. We also ordered wings (both hotter than hell and mambo), plus hotter than hell fries, and a margarita pizza. The wings were crispy and the sauces were really good! I expected the hotter than hell wings to just obliterate my mouth with heat but it was nicely balanced. The mambo wings are a DC staple so it was nice to see it on the menu. The pizza was good for being in DC. Would I come in a order a pizza, no. I’m personally used to NY/NJ pizza and it was nothing like that but for what it was, it was nice. The bartender was really friendly and attentive and all the food and drinks came out at a good pace. Would this be a place I would come back to often? Realistically no, because there are so many happy hour places in DC but it was a nice experience overall.

Google
Saw the high rating, have been to multiple Gordon Ramsay establishments and thought to come check it out! Unfortunately, the pizza looked better than it tasted. The meatballs and pesto were good. The tomato sauce was more sour than I prefer. The crust was super thin in some areas and thick in others, which created different levels of ‘cooked’ of the crust. Like other reviewers mentioned, the toppings easily fell off when picking up the slice. The outside crust felt strong and stable, but that inside cut of the pie was definitely not as sturdy! Overall, feel this was just a meh experience. Have had WAY better pizza at a similar price point.

Google
Gordon Ramsay Street Pizza in D.C. delivered big flavor! I tried the Mumbo #5 pizza and it was fire — sweet, tangy, and full of bold flavor that felt like a true nod to D.C. vibes. The hot wings were solid too, crispy with just the right amount of kick. The all-you-can-eat pizza setup is dangerous in the best way. Cool atmosphere, friendly staff, and a great place to kick back with friends or crush some solo slices.

Google
The pizza was pretty good! I enjoyed meatball pizza. It was fresh and tasty. The chicken appetizer was also delicious. Everyone seemed to enjoy their meal. Parking is very scarce so prepare enough time. Excellent customer service. I would definitely go back and try other pizzas next time I am in the area.

We stopped in at Street Pizza and found they opened Gordon Ramsay Street Burger in the bottom level! The food was phenomenal, the atmosphere was welcoming, and the restaurant was clean. Our server, Josh, was amazing! Josh was patient, attentive, and helpful.

Google
We had a fabulous meal at Street Pizza! Our server was phenomenal made great menu suggestions. We had mole wings, the classic margherita pizza & the Mumbo #5, and one of the best margaritas I have had in a while.

Went here off of my daughter's suggestion. I thought everything was good. I enjoyed the pizza.. The service was good. I like the decor of the restaurant. The location was easy to get to and I will return next time. I'm in town.

Google
The seating is VERY comfortable and the food was delicious! Highly recommend the Mumbo wings, Corn & Chorizo pizza, and Caesar Salad. Wings were crispy and the pizza/salad were interestingly delicious spins on some classics. Worth the visit!

Yelp
Pizza was a bit pricey for the size, happy hour was great from 3 to 6pm Monday to Friday, Juan at the bar was so nice to us! Very welcoming and fast making our drinks.

Yelp
Street Pizza by Gordon Ramsey. This take of a "sports bar" by Gordon Ramsey is a good addition to DC. The pizza was very good and had top quality ingredients. The wings also surprised me as to how good they were, the quality of wings was top notch. The customer service was alright, while the servers were nice it was weird because we did not have one set person helping us, it felt like we were talking to someone different every 5 minutes. Also, the bartender was the one taking our order even though we were at a table, so it was hard sometimes when we had to wait for him to finish making drinks for us to ask for something. He did make us drinks which were good. The restaurant itself is very nice, with a bar and a bunch of tables upstairs while downstairs having another bar area (which was closed) with arcade games and a pool table which were free to play. The ambiance definitely had a sports bar feel to it. While the food is a bit pricy due to the Ramsey name, pizzas being almost $20 each and a 6 piece wing being $14, the restaurant itself and what you're getting with it made it worth the visit.

Yelp
For a pizza place, the pizza was quite burnt! We ordered the margarita pizza thinking it would be a classic, simple pie, and it was completely burnt, black, the cheese was burnt. We can't believe the servers even brought out something so burnt. The street salad on the other hand was fresh and well-made. Atmosphere and area of the restaurant is great, a very walkable area. Not too expensive for a quick lunch. But honestly, not worth the price for the burnt pizza we received. Thin crust, but not like you could taste anything.

Yelp
Gordon Ramsay's Street Pizza: A Culinary Crime Scene Gordon Ramsay, mate, this place is a disgrace. I don't know if you secretly hate America, but this restaurant certainly feels like revenge for the Revolutionary War. The food? Abysmal. The service? Like watching a kitchen nightmare unfold in real time. The bill? $120 for an experience I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy. The pizza sauce tastes like someone cracked open a can of Chef Boyardee, swirled it around with a dirty spoon, and called it "authentic." My wife ordered the penne, and--surprise!--it had the same sauce. I was instantly transported back to childhood, microwaving canned ravioli on a lonely Saturday afternoon when my parents had given up on cooking. It's impressive, really, how this place managed to bottle the flavor of childhood disappointment. The service was as slow as a frozen dinner that refuses to cook in the middle. The poor waiter looked like he had been held hostage by a never-ending shift. I felt for him, I really did, but I cannot forgive the food. This was like Hell's Kitchen, but in reverse--no screaming chef, no redemption arc, just the sheer agony of waiting for something edible that never arrived. Gordon, if you ever set foot in this restaurant, I hope you bring a hidden camera because this place deserves a Kitchen Nightmares special. It's truly an insult to pizza, to pasta, and to humanity. Do yourself a favor and go to literally any other pizza place--hell, grab a frozen one from 7-Eleven. It'll be a Michelin-star experience compared to this.

Yelp
Stopped her for a quick bite while seeing the sights of DC. We ordered the meatball pizza because it sounded unusual, but good...and it was! The vibe of the place is kind of a sports bar, which was fine for our needs. Our server was nice, although he seemed disappointed that we didn't order more.

Yelp
Open space, parking is no fun.. but worth it when you get there! They had tons of fun options and it was fun to see how they have a bar like set up on the left with a pool table and some arcade games.. and then On the right side it is restaurant style. They had some good veg options! I will say though, beware of the wait. It took over 20 mins to get our food (and it was for take out).

Yelp
Stopped in here before a Caps game the other night for the first time. I got a seat at the bar which is lucky cause there are only 6 seats and the only place they do HH pricing. Which is a bit of a lol. You 6 lucky people get $7 cocktails . All and all thought pizza was super tasty. I got the sausage fennel and it was really yummy. The hell fries (hh pricing) and an espresso. Martini and passion fruit martini (hh pricing) . I would come back again, but maybe when the downstairs is open. I think that is probably where the fun is.

Yelp
Hey friends! I was working nearby so my coworker and I decided to stop by here for lunch. This casual spot offers brick-oven pizzas and more! My coworker and I shared a Margherita Pizza($18). We enjoyed it! Toppings were fresh and the crust was crunchy! Next time I would add red pepper flakes for that flavor contrast it lacked. Service was friendly. We were greeted and sat instantly upon entering. Our server was accommodating in making sure we had our food and could check-out quickly as we were on a time crunch on break. Interior is vibrant. A full service bar is available. I love the open kitchen concept. Parking is limited. Price point is expensive. $18 for a 12 inch pizza is pricey, to me. This is a nice spot to try if you're in the area at Capital One Arena or strolling downtown. I'll definitely make my way back! With love, The Picky Pescatarian

Yelp
I didn't even know Gordon Ramsay had a pizza restaurant, let alone that it was in DC! We ordered two pizzas and finished them between the three of us - they were good, but not something I'd come back for I don't think. It's also pretty busy on weeknight evenings so you might want to make a reservation - we waited about 45 mins and just walked around the area until they texted us.

Yelp
Gordon Ramsay would be disappointed :( * Price: The prices for pizzas range from $18 to $25, and sides are between $8 and $12 * Food: Couldn't tell you, we never got to try it * Cleanliness/Setting: The interior features a pool table and old video games, and it was clean. You can also see where the pizzas are cooked. * Service: The service was disappointing. There were only about three other tables seated when we arrived. We were placed in a corner and ordered two waters and a beer, but we never received the waters. All of the waitstaff stood around watching, yet no one came to take our order. People who arrived after us were served THEIR FOOD before I finally had to ask someone to take our order, so we left. Maybe I'll try again in the future.

Yelp
Pretty cool spot. Came here for some lunch after walking around and visiting the Archives museum, then heading to the Ford's Theatre. We ordered some drinks and the Meatball pizza and the GFC Dirty Fries. It was all really yummy and the staff is all friendly and accommodating. The ambience is also very welcoming and cool. Great spot to visit if you're in the area and/or visiting.

Yelp
Decent NY style pizza. The pizza is cooked in a fancy oven, just not wood-fired. The restaurant is spacious and you generally don't need a reservation during the weekdays. I walked in with a friend on Wed without a reservation, we were seated promptly and received our pizza within 10 minutes of ordering. The Vegan 'Nduja & Zucchini with vegan meat, zucchini slices, pesto, onions, mozzarella cheese (I paid extra), topped with balsamic vinegar had a spicy kick! While the flavors blended fairly well together, the spiciness of the vegan meat overpowered the pizza. I do appreciate the creativity of the pizza and enjoyed the crunchy crust (it wasn't bland and didn't get hard when I reheated in the oven). I wish there was an option to get a smaller 10' inch pizza instead of the standard 14' size. - You also can't do 1/2 of 2 different types of pizza. I saw a Yelper got 1/2 Margherita pizza and 1/2 Vegan 'Nduja & Zucchini. Sadly, my request was denied to do 1/2 for both types and had to pick one. It would also be nice to have a truffle white pizza with mushrooms, onion, and creamy white sauce added to the menu. The Raspberry Mojito was quite sweet and would try a Martini next time. While I wasn't blown away by the pizza, it was good and decent. Would come next time to try the Margherita and Charred Eggplant!

Yelp
This place ended up being really good! Our server, Kenny, was super cool and kind. We ordered just a margherita pizza to eat, and a couple of drinks (passion fruit martini and a Long Island iced tea). The food did take a bit to arrive, but Kenny kept checking in on us, apologizing for the wait, and checking in on the food. We didn't mind the wait as it wasn't really bad at all, and the food was sooo worth it! The toppings were really delicious, and the crust was perfectly thin and buttery for us. I will say I was slightly disappointed in the drinks only because they came out by the time my partner and I were on our last slice, but they were delicious too. We were hoping to get wings, but we noticed wings were 6 for $14 and thought that was too much. Maybe next time as we'd love to come back and try more of their pizza!

Yelp
My friend and I stopped by on a late night dinner on a weekday. They feature an arcade and a pool that are free to play. When you walk in theres a DJ booth, large bar + games to the left. Then a wide open dining area with an open kitchen to the right. We ordered everything from the mumbo wings, Caesar salad, sticky toffee waffle, corn + chorizo, pepperoni pizzas. Our server Blake was right about the salad. One of the best I've ever had in the area. The dressing had some heat and there was plenty of chili flakes in the salad. The wings were delicious. Fried perfectly and a nice mumbo sauce for each wing. The highlight here is definitely the pizza. The pepperoni pizza was one of the best I've had in the area. They cook it in a brick oven. The ingredients were fresh and the crust had a nice char to it. Shoutout to Blake for taking great care of us. He was so attentive, welcoming and knew everything about the menu. We really enjoyed our experience here. It was an elevated pizza restaurant with a nice variety of menu items. Each dish had something unique about it. The restaurant itself during dinner time is very dark and theres minimal lighting. I would definitely come here to enjoy some games, watch some sports and enjoy some pizza.

Yelp
I really enjoyed my meal here! Not anything super unique but pizza was good and the vegan bites were amazing! Feel this would be great for work lunch or happy hour. Service was so so but good spot in the area

Yelp
Very tasty pizza. Nice thin crust and quality ingredients rather than mass produced greasy slices. Staff were friendly, and though I was there during Happy Hour, I wasn't interrupted too often other than to ask if I wanted another drink. The restaurant is very different to what I expected. It's more like a sports bar with video games rather than a high end pizzeria. That being said, I would definitely come here again next time I'm in the city.

Yelp
Our pizza was pretty decent! The mumbo sauce was a delicious addition and the crust was amazing. The service was as a bit of a miss for me, our server was kind of pushy and off putting. The vibe is laid back and casual and the atmosphere is nice.

Yelp
This was my first visit here for dinner on a Thursday night. It was not crowded. In contrast to Hell's Kitchen at the DC Wharf, this place is casual and informal. Prices are a little lower too. The staff were friendly and attentive. They offer thin crust 14 inch Italian pizzas and specialized ones. I tried the corn and chorizo pizza, which also had chicken on it. It was good, but a little bland in taste and dry. I also tried the chopped salad, which was just okay. This food was shared by 2 people. I would suggest ordering more food because I was still hungry after I came home. Besides pizza, they serve appetizers, pastas, and desserts.

Yelp
We've been wanting to try Gordon's take on pizza since it opened over the summer. However, the logistics of this place has been chaotic and we couldn't make a reservation online or speak to a real person as to why. I can't say the service is much better in person, so brace yourself! The online presence and description is misleading in that it makes you think there's a restaurant and then there's more of a pub/arcade vibe downstairs. This was what we expected, but instead the whole restaurant, both upstairs and downstairs has more of a pub or bar restaurant vibe and the downstairs has 4-5 machines and a pool table...and an outrageous number of big tv screens everywhere (the upstairs also has screens). There's a full bar both upstairs and downstairs I think. We were not asked if we'd rather sit upstairs. That's unfortunate. We were led downstairs where there's an open kitchen with a pizza oven that's not being used. Not sure if there's just a second pizza oven in this establishment or what. The service was sloppy and the concept was very...super Mario. Cant explain it. But the table next to us had an older group who astutely acknowledged they were expecting more elegance from Gordon Ramsay (they clearly agreed this place lacks elegance). The tables are very small considering it's a pizza place and they sell pitchers of alcohol. They come prepopulated with giant dinner plates--plates that make their 12" pizza slices look tiny in comparison. I'm not sure if there's concept was to serve full size pizzas on these plates, but the plates took up all the space and we couldn't fit much else on our two little tables. The plates are already chipped and broken and we've been open a few months. Are these second hand plates or just cheap? The menu is not cheap. A 12" personal pizza will set you back about $17-24 each. We didn't bother with salads because they looked like you were paying $10 for a leaf. We did get a pitcher of cocktails--the raspberry mojito--which was excellent. The server managed to take our drink order and ask us if we were ready for food order 2-3 times before brining us drinks and I was ready to ask the server if he was ready with our drinks because the time he spent interrupting us could've been better spent getting us drinks but hey, we already service here was questionable. The pizzas themselves were also hit or miss. A lot of spice was promised and only Nduja delivered. Good pizza mainly because it was good sauce. The mumbo no.5 was a hit though popcorn chicken could've been used instead. The corn and chorizo pizza was disappointing because a corn puree is not the same as a pizza sauce--but also, the toasted chicken tasted like second-day rotisserie chicken from Costco. The pineapple pizza had a lot of pineapple--which was great, but it came with a cheesy white sauce that didn't taste like much and not enough meats. None of the pizzas we ordered had normal sauce, which I feel could've been better explained in the menu. End of night verdict was that we might come here for a game night watch party, but we wouldn't return for pizza.

Yelp
So disappointed with this place. Starting off the restaurant is spacious and beautiful. We sat at a table near the pizza oven. It was fun watching them make the pizzas. We got some drinks and ordered the corn/chorizo pizza to split we weren't too hungry. We got our pizza first. I did not care the crust. It was a bit soggy and not crispy due to the ingredients on top. It seems like the pizza was cooked quickly and not properly. The flavors of the pizza was interesting. The chirozo was good but I wanted more on the pizza. The corn mixture was sweet and mushy. This pizza was $21 which is a lot for the quality of pizza we got. When I finally got my drink it was just okay. Overall I'm not sure if I would try this place again with this price? It seems overprice and overhyped.

Yelp
OVERALL: Great pizza and ceasar salad but the venue could be better FOOD: I've been here twice now and have gotten the following pizzas: Don't Tell Gordon, Mumbo #5, and Pepperoni. This is also the order of preference. The ceasar salad was sort of deconstructed and I loved it - they added chili flakes which gave it a pop. Back to the pizzas, both the DTG and Mumbo were so flavorful and filling. It's definitely worth sharing with one other person. There wasn't anything special about the pepperoni but it was good! SERVICE: the staff were super friendly and attentive. They gave great recommendations and made the experience all around better. VENUE: the first time I went there were flies in the restaurant. It was super off putting. The second time it was fine.

Yelp
Wowzers! Wednesday, June 26, 2024, GR Street Pizza closed its doors for a private event! The Launch Party for this establishment was taking place so only if you were on the guest list, could you partake in the fun! You walk into the restaurant which is modernly decorated. You were asked to take a picture at the step and repeat upon entry. The restaurant is on the corner street, has two levels, a bar on top and one at the bottom, a lounge area where you can play PAC-Man, Pool, and even take pictures in a old school photo booth! FUN! There were several servers walking around with free pizza for all the "exclusive" guests. All the notables of DC were in attendance, another notable Chef (Rock Harper), the pro sports teams (players), House Wives/Husbands of Potomac, BIG DC Stylists, Congressmen/women, Elite DMV businessmen, were all present! All the news media personalities, in attendance! Who knew, Gordon Ramsay was in our Nations Capital and present, super sweet and personable! Clearly he'd be here for his own launch party! For this exclusive event it was an open bar! Yes! Open bar! Any drink your heart desires, yours! Well this foodie had to do what she does best, EAT! Free means TRY with no remorse and that is what I did! Let's start with the Sticky Toffee Shake! Yes (claps loudly, scream's Hallelujah) to this shake! It was the show stopper of the night! I drank just one but wanted five, that is how good they were. Pizza oh Pizza! I tasted every single pizza on the menu! (No judgments, the Food Gods allowed it.) Every pizza was delicious. You can't go wrong with any, my favorite, the traditional pepperoni. "Don't tell Gordon" had mozzarella, mornay sauce, applewood-smoked bacon, and pineapple. It was my second fave! I wonder how DC will like "Mumbo #5" it has creamy mumbo sauce, mozzarella, fried chicken, red onion, scallions, and cilantro. It wasn't bad actually! The carbonara was my favorite pasta, it had the normal traditional ingredients, bacon, peas, creamy parmesan sauce. There were cocktails being served from their menu. My favorite was the Passion Fruit Martini, it was made with Vodka, passion fruit, and pineapple. Peach Bellini were made with Peach purée and Prosecco, and were also served through the night. This foodie was in pizza and drink heaven! As if the night couldn't get any better, upon leaving we received goodie bags from Gordon! Inside the bag was a whole pizza pan! I cook so this Bag was the best goodie bag I've ever gotten! A fancy pizza pan! YES! Although I didn't come as a paying customer, I will be returning as one! The prices are a bit high for a pizza spot but I'm hoping this place can sustain. As with all things, time will tell! Shout out to the Publicist who put on this FANTASTIC event! Well done and executed! I salute you.

Yelp
As a huge Gordon Ramsay fan, I was super excited to try his pizza. He already has Gordon Ramsay fish n chips and Hells Kitchen which I love but this play really fell flat for me. Talking about ambiance, I really think it's quite fun. The entrance area has a pool table, Photo Booth, and arcade which makes any wait much more enjoyable. The food itself though didnt really do it for me. The meatball pizza didn't excite my palate, it was pretty boring for me and the flavors were kind of just muted. The pesto did add a nice touch to the dish but it really wasn't anything to rave about. The corn and chorizo pizza I didn't realize would come in a corn sauce. It was more interesting with the corn flavor but it wasn't what I was expecting. It would've done better with a bit of red pepper flakes or some spice to imbue flavor. The Cesar salad was like four pieces of lettuce (which why do people think Cesar salad like this is hip?????) but I did enjoy the flavor. The loaded fries were really not that special. The fries were meh and it didn't pack the punch I'd expect it to. It also didn't look that cute. They have a sticky toffee shake also that's good but it's nothing like the ones they do in his fish n chips.

Yelp
Solid pizza. The pizza was thin crust, hot, and fresh! We tried the charred eggplant and the don't tell Gordon. We both preferred the don't tell Gordon - the sauce was sooooo good! The charred eggplant was okay (mildly dry and not as much flavor as the other pizza). One person can eat an entire 14" pizza since the crust is so thin or you could share one pizza and not leave too full. The tables are minuscule and won't fit two people and one pizza comfortably, let alone two pizzas and two people. We had to ask for a second table so we weren't hitting our elbows against the pizza stands. The place was not very busy for a Saturday during lunch.

Yelp
The service here was phenomenal! The waiter was extremely attentive and friendly. He answered our questions about the menu and explained certain items in detail. The eating in the restaurant is perfect. It's spacious , clean, and there's plenty of booth-like seating available. We ordered the "Don't Tell Gordon" pizza. It was different and unique. It had a white sauce, pineapple, and bacon. The pizza came out hot, fresh, and was very delicious! It tasted so authentic as well.

Yelp
Yes, another Gordon Ramsay's restaurant. This is a newly opened restaurant which serves pizzas, some pastas, salads, and sides. The restaurant is big. There is a big bar area, a pool table, and some familiar old-school arcade machines in the restaurant. I love the vibe of the restaurant. The pizza is only one size, that is 14". I had the Don't Tell Gordon pizza. The crust was thin and cooked perfectly. The ingredients were fresh, and the flavor of the pizza was super good. I love the cheese on the pizza. It was so delicious. Gordon Ramsay is famous for his sticky toffee pudding but it isn't on the menu. However, they do have the sticky toffee waffle and sticky toffee shake instead. I had the sticky toffee waffle for dessert. It was so good. The waffle was crispy outside but soft inside. The texture was perfect. I received great service during my visit. All the staff were friendly and courteous. I would recommend making reservations ahead of time as the restaurant gets packed pretty fast.

Yelp
So every time I went to a 23-24 caps game I saw the sign for Gordon Ramsey's Street Pizza restaurant opening in spring of 24. Well it's finally opened and while walking by I could not resist to try a renown chef inspired restaurant. Immediately upon walking in I was greeted by Sierra and India who were great hostess. They admitted they have tried everything on the menu. Sierra said her favorite is the Mumbo #5 and India said hers was the classic Margherita. They offered selections and talked about the appetizers too. These two were awesome and provided some really great suggestions. I was taken to a table where the seats are very comfortable. There's a nice clean dining area where you can also see the pizzas being made or you can people watch out the plethora of windows in the establishment. It was a very nice decor and welcoming feel inside. Now for the pizza! The Mumbo #5 is a little spicy but a little sweet too. The sauce is absolutely delicious! I do not like spicy things but this was writhing my tolerance range and I absolutely loved it! I got mine without onions though, not a fan of large cut onions.... Everything about this pizza was incredible and the flavors were great at complimenting each other. The crust is light and thin which I really liked. Each pizza is about $20 but well worth it in my opinion because you're gonna pay the same at any chain pizza place. I may update this as I promised India I would come back and try the Classic Margherita. Honestly the food was so good I can't wait to go back again!

Yelp
Food was fine but felt a tad overpriced. Our service, however, was awful. We arrived more than an hour and a half before they closed, but we were treated like we were an inconvenience. We were sat in a section with nobody else and a server was in the section cleaning. We asked him for our server and he said it was him ... we sat there for at least 10 mins and watched him clean (and mind you he almost swept over my feet) before he served us. He said they were "trying to get out early" and "weren't expecting any walk-in's". We then placed our entire order and asked for water alongside our drinks. We didn't get the water until we asked again and were over halfway done with our meals (neither had ice and one was only halfway full). Throughout the meal, our server continued to clean .. which is fine, but he also started taking the candles off of our table mid bite. He ignored us so long that we had to ask another staff member to get us to go boxes and tell our server we were ready for the check. Our server brought the check, came back for payment, and then didn't say a single word to us before we left. no thanks, no have a good night, etc. Kyle was a terrible server and really ruined the experience. I may try this again as the other staff members seemed to be better, but this was not an enjoyable experience

Yelp
I recently hit up Gordon Ramsay Street Pizza at 507 7th St., N.W., Washington, D.C. The place was pretty solid overall, and definitely worth a visit if you're in the area. Vegetarian Friendly: Yee, they've got some good vegetarian options. It's nice to see a variety of choices that cater without feeling like an afterthought. Decor: The vibe is fun and casual, perfect for chilling with friends or grabbing a bite before hitting up nearby attractions. The decor is trendy but not over the top, making it a comfortable spot to relax. And if you like a meat dish, they can usually just substitute the meat for something else. Food Breakdown: I tried a mix of dishes: the Vegan Wings, the Vegan Nouja & Zucchini Pizza, and some classic Mac & Cheese. Food Highlights: The Mac & Cheese was awesome--super creamy and cheesy, just how it should be. Honestly it's the best Mac and Cheese I have had in a while and for Side, the portion is huge to the point it could have actually be my entree. The Vegan Nouja & Zucchini Pizza was surprisingly really good too. The flavors were on point, and it didn't feel like it was missing anything even though it was vegan. Service: Glad to say service was great and no issue to speak of. Portion Size: The portions were good and definitely didn't leave hungry. Each dish was enough to be satisfying without feeling like too much. Price: For DC, the prices were pretty decent. Considering it's a Gordon Ramsay spot, I was expecting to pay more, but the prices were really good for what you get. Would I go Back: I will say thought the Vegan Wings were not great which is why I had to give it 4 stars. I also I wouldn't go out of my way to get there since it's a bit far, and there are other places nearby with similar food. But if I'm in the area, I'd definitely stop by again. It's worth checking out for the fun atmosphere and solid food.

Yelp
Gordon Ramsay is making room for himself in a city with several options for flat and funny-named pizzas already. Slices are floppier than Andy's and Boogey and Peel, so good for the pizza-folders. The specialty pizzas are worth trying. I just wished they also sold by the slice! My party of three ordered way too much, underestimating the size of 14-inch pizzas. But plenty of leftovers! We got the Don't Tell Gordon, Corn & Chorizo, Mumbo #5, and Pepperoni. The most surprising to us was the Corn & Chorizo because we didn't know what to expect with corn puree on a pizza. We were puzzled at first with which of the pizzas it was that we ordered. I don't think the roasted chicken worked well on it, but the chorizo unexpectedly did. The Mumbo and Don't Tell Gordon were my favorites. Don't miss out on the wings! We got them with Mumbo and Sweet Korean Chili, my favorite flavor. Drinks were also good. Spiced Raspberry Mojito was refreshing and strong. We had reservations and it was a little slow to seat us at first. I'm glad we had the reservation because the restaurant was packed when we came in at 6:30 on a weekend. Our server, though, was very nice. Neat that the pizza-making area and oven are visible from the dining room.

Yelp
Now y'all know I love me some Gordon so I HAD to drop in to this spot on its first day. I loved the ambiance. I initially made a reservation but my friend couldn't come so I sat at the bar. The restaurant has 2 levels. The staff escorted me to the downstairs bar and I loved the vibe. There was a pool table, arcade games, and TVs all along the wall of the bar. The service at the bar was great. I'm lowkey ready to go back already. I ordered a passion fruit martini...BOMB. I tried the wings with the GFC sauce. The menu has 3 chilis beside this flavor but it's not spicy. The sauce was delicious and the wings were crispy yet tender. I'm ready to get back to try the hotter than hell! I tried the pepperoni pizza and that was pretty good too. It was sort of thin crust and I loved the sauce. I will say that the downstairs area was a bit loud from the kids playing on the basketball shooting game. I can't wait to go back at night because I just KNOW it's a vibe.

Yelp
Wow I get to leave review #3 love it!! Much love to my favorite chef too! So let's start with this was awesome! The food is great easy 5/5 I expect no less. The pizza crust was crispy and delicious, even if we weren't supposed to tell gordon the pineapple and bacon work so well, and I don't like pineapple normally. The pasta was great as well, we shared a pasta and it was flavorful, fresh ingredients just wonderful! My wife loved her drink as well, so the cocktails get a 5! Moving right on to the service, excellent service. Our waiter wasn't hovering but wasn't missing in action, a perfect balance and I appreciate balance like that. We were seen and seated immediately (we did have a reservation though) overall a great service experience. Finally let's hit atmosphere. It was a lot of fun its a more casual experience than what I'm used to from a Gordon Ramsay restaurant which I appreciated. It's a down to earth kind of place that I could take my friends and kids easily and everyone could enjoy. My one gripe is the music was a touch loud, my wife and I had to yell to hear one another but they were working on it and toward the end of the night it was getting better.

Yelp
I've been to every Gordon Ramsay restaurant in DC. Hell's Kitchen is insanely good (accurate hype) and Gordon Ramsay fish and chips was also unbelievably good, especially for a fast food place. But Gordon Ramsay Street Pizza really missed the mark. And it's a bummer because the images online from the Instagram make it look like this hip, fun atmosphere, but in actuality it is all white and dull and dark. The only "fun" part is the bar which only has bar seating. I don't know what I was expecting, but the decor was not decoring! Anyways... The food was fine. The pizzas are nothing to write home about. Mumbo is such a classic here in the DMV so I was excited to actually try this pizza, but it wasn't as great as authentic Mumbo sauce is. But I appreciate the effort. The margherita pizza was good and the pepperoni was good. I don't think the corn and chorizo was made correctly? There was no chorizo?? This is pepperoni and chicken? I'm confused. And the sticky toffee shake was disgusting and watered down with chunky bits of soggy pudding. So gross. The one at Gordon Ramsay Fish and Chips is stellar so I'm confused as to how we went so wrong? The service was fine. The guy refilled our drinks and was attentive enough despite how busy it was! He was very nice. But honestly, I would go to a real pizza place as opposed to a place that has a big name behind it. There are much better options and this isn't one of them. Go to any of his other restaurants and don't waste your money!!

Yelp
Total tourist trap. All of the pizzas in the area are 20$ for the same size but they are amazing. This pizza is 20$ for what is basically a blaze pizza joint. Pizza is so thin and small 1 person can easily eat one by themselves and being a Gordon Ramsay restaurant I was expecting something that wasn't a fast causal tourist trap. It's about 5$ worth of pizza being sold for 20$ and just didn't sit well with me compared to what you can get all Over the city for the same price.

Yelp
Wonderful margherita pizza, wonderful salad. Food came out fast and fresh. Seriously, I did not expect that good of pizza. Kenny, our waiter, was friendly and attentive. The whole staff seemed well-trained.

Yelp
While we didn't have pizza and ducked in for a quick bite to get out of the cold, our experience at the bar was great. Staff were welcoming and accommodating though they were very busy. I had some of the best spaghetti carbonara I've had outside of Europe!

Yelp
We came here on a Saturday afternoon and were able to get a seat quickly but the service after that was very slow. I decided to split one of the pizzas, the Nduja, and it was ok. The problem was the place is way too expensive for what you get and seeing how the whole street is filled with restaurants it is easy to skip this place and go to somewhere better right near by.

Yelp
Super chill and friendly vibes in the middle of DC's Penn Quarter = absolute perfection. Pizza is one of my favorite foods so I'm a relatively easy sell while also being incredibly picky. Street Pizza was great. Bougie enough to help me appreciate going out in the Capitol while a simultaneously being down to earth enough for me wearing my worn tennis shoes. The service was awesome. Blake was incredibly friendly and personable during my entire dining experience. Do I recommend? 150% It's worth your time.

Yelp
Great drinks, wings, and Mac n cheese! The pizza was just okay. Seems like an easy enough thing to get right so maybe fix it?

Yelp
I was excited to try the new street pizza from Ramsay, so we came here for an early lunch. Besides pizzas, the menu also offers salads, pastas, various sides, desserts, and drinks. We ordered: +G.F.C. Dirty Fries - fries topped with G.F.C. chicken, meleted mozzarella, and the house's signature G.F.C. sauce +a Meatball - topped with beef meatballs, mozzarella, tomato sauce, garlic, and basil pesto +Charred Eggplant - topped with garlic & basil pesto, tomato sauce, and pine nuts +Mumbo #5 - topped with mumbo sauce, mozzarella, fried chicken, red onions, and scallions; we opted out of the cilantro We also got some dips to dunk the pizza and the fries in - the Buttermilk Ranch and the Spicy Tomato. The pies were just okay - more on the floppy/soggy side in terms of the crust. Toppings were generous. Staff were friendly and attentive. I'd like to try the wings next time, as I had heard some good things about them. +various pies +GF crust options available +reservations accepted

Yelp
Disappointing Experience with Rude Service and Cold Food -- Our visit to Gordon Ramsay's Street Pizza was a major letdown. From the moment we arrived, the experience was frustrating and unwelcoming. The hostess was incredibly rude and dismissive. After waiting 45 minutes for a table, we decided to make an online reservation while waiting. However, upon informing the hostess, she said we'd have to wait another 45 minutes and even suggested we order takeout instead of helping us get seated. To make matters worse, she actively avoided us afterward, leaving us feeling ignored and unwelcome. Thankfully, a manager eventually stepped in and seated us, but the damage to the experience was already done. Unfortunately, the food didn't make up for the poor service. The pizza was served cold, and we had to flag down our server just to get water. The salad was another disappointment--it lacked flavor and was little more than plain lettuce and tomatoes. Overall, the rude hostess, long wait times, cold food, and lackluster dishes made this visit incredibly disappointing. For a restaurant with Gordon Ramsay's name attached, we expected much better. Chef Ramsay himself should consider doing a Kitchen Nightmares episode on this place--it needs serious help.

Yelp
The staff was excellent. I get it, DC isn't a pizza town. But, it's Gordon Ramsay. This should be primo. It was more Primo subs. It's good, not great. Priced like something truly special, but basically a mess.

Yelp
Fair Message: I haven't eaten there and will not. I made a reservation for a holiday party for my work. 20 people, not too many, but we wanted space and privacy so we requested the downstairs. After talking on the phone with a nice person, I made my way there with my co-worker to see the space. We are very close by. They gave us a tour and it seemed all nice. I put a credit card to make a reservation and everything was peachy. A week before the reservation, I make a call to make sure that everything is a-okay to learn that my reservation had been cancelled. The reason: the "nice" person who made our reservation had not followed proper procedure as they should have directed us to corporate, which is a different way to make the reservation. I did not receive a call to let me know that the reservation was cancelled. I didn't get an email. Anything. At all... I made my way there to see the manager. The manager simply told me: "I understand your frustration, but a larger group made a reservation, and they did it properly and we cannot do anything." The "sorry," attitude was pretty basic and the attitude of the manager was very dismissive. I asked if we could still reserve upstairs, but the manager was not enthused. It let me know that we were not welcomed there. Overall, I would tell Gordon Ramsey to really train his people appropriately to make this restaurant a hit. The staff's attitude was polite but just dismissive and slightly offensive. No other options were given to me, just "bye, bye." Sad. I work for a major agency nearby and we have a good 1,000+ people. I connected with the building where I work and asked that they do not promote this restaurant due to the horrible experience I had. (I saw the restaurant disappear from the building app's restaurant suggestion, just yesterday. The building where I work has way more companies and agencies than the 1,000 people working in my particular agency. I still wish good luck for this business. But to anyone else; Don't waste your time.

Yelp
The ambiance is relaxed, we were seated in the corner table under the "Street Pizza" sign. We ordered a pepperoni pizza as a Comp to other pizza places and it was excellent! The crust was just right, the marinara sauce tasty, with just the right amount of mozzarella. The service was good. I want to go back and try their "Don't tell Gordon" pizza that has apple-wood smoked bacon and pineapple. The price was very reasonable, but I don't think we ate much because we had the buttermilk fried chicken at the National African-American Museum for lunch.

Yelp
I've been to Street Pizza a couple of times and quite enjoy it. I dare say it's in my top three DC pizza places. It's spacious and there are two floors of seating. Staff are relatively new but nice. Don't Tell Gordon is my go-to. I like the mornay sauce with the pineapple and ham. The sweet chili kimchi wings is nice and I hope to try one of the pastas next time. I also really enjoy the arcade games available and the Photo Booth is fun. Can't wait to return.

Yelp
I'm pleasantly surprised. Look I love GR but I was kinda critical of his fish and chips down on the wharf. Where the fish and chips was lacking for me (service, flavor) his pizza made up for. I ordered to go at the bar. The restaurant itself was packed every table full. I didn't mind waiting because I had no where to be but I could tell they were very busy - with Gordon visiting earlier in the week everyone had to come try it. While I waited the bartender offered me an ice water for this warm June day, which I didn't even ask for but appreciated. The wait was about 30 minutes which is longer than usual but again I was not in a rush. I suspect the wait time won't be so long as things calm down. Mumbo pizza - 9/10. I say 9 because it's not the best mumbo pizza I've had (that awards goes to Union Stage bar believe it or not) but I thought it was delicious and saucy and spicy and yummy. Don't Tell Gordon - 7/10. White pizza. Good but not as good as the mumbo. Best part is the pizzas can feed two, and are about $17-21 in price so two people out being tourists for the day can split a pizza for a good price. It's in the perfect location on 7th and overall I'm really happy with my visit!

Yelp
Food was great as expected from Gordon Ramsay. Service was okay- we originally ordered the chopped salad but the server brung us the Cesar salad. When we mentioned this he took it back to the kitchen and we did not get our salad until we had already finished the rest of our meal. My favorites were the dirty fries and the meatball salad. I think the ambiance was fine- it was a bit dark for my taste. I had to use my phone flashlight to see the menu.

Yelp
It was busy, let's start with that. Long wait for table and for server. Pizza was room temperature.
