"I found the 7,100-square-foot, two-level corner space at 501 7th Street NW now houses Gordon Ramsay Street Pizza, a London-born chain and Ramsay’s third D.C. opening in less than two years. The fast-casual concept specializes in 14-inch sourdough pies, wings, pastas (including crabby pasta, spaghetti carbonara, and penne pomodoro), salads, dips, colorful cocktails, sticky toffee shakes, and more. An opening list of 10 whole pies ($17–$21) includes margherita, spicy ’nduja, meatballs, fennel sausage, charred eggplant, and corn and chorizo; the “Don’t Tell Gordon” nods to pineapple as a no-no topping, and the “Mumbo #5” is slathered in mumbo sauce and topped with fried chicken. Wings are offered in six- to 24-count portions with heat levels from mole (none) to mumbo (mild) to “hotter than hell.” For drinks, cocktails start at $12 (Kentucky mule, spiced raspberry mojito, passionfruit martini, margarita, Long Island iced tea), six-person pitchers are $45, and draft/bottled beers, wines, and nonalcoholic cocktails are available. The space packs in two bars, a lounge area, multiple dining rooms, and basement entertainment (pool, FX Hoops, Pac-Man); it’s open daily from 11 a.m., closing at 11 p.m. Tue–Thu, 1 a.m. Fri–Sat (with DJs), and 10 p.m. Sun–Mon. Notably, the brand dropped the bottomless/AYCE model used at some London locations for its first U.S. spot for reasons not disclosed." - Tierney Plumb
