Gorilla Smoke and Grill (North)

This place is cozy and has a nice gorilla outside. The food was great at a reasonable price. The workers were attentive and gave many great recommendations for a first timer there. Would definitely come back when visiting again.

This location visit marks the completion of all three spots in my city. 😅 And as they say "save the best for last" would be correct. Our favorite treat (fried pickles) were right on point same as the other locations! This time tried a grilled chicken salad and my taste buds were enjoying themselves. Tried their Agua de lemon 🍋 and it was perfect. The locations decor is very rustic, they had music playing, and extremely clean. This will be the new go to for sure of their three spots.

I had a great dinner with my family here. Friendly service, very clean dining area, fast service and delicious food with all flavor and no grease. I will be recommending this place to all my friends for a great family dinner!

My new favorite spot in Laredo. The fried pickles are incredible, don't miss out! Service was wonderful, the staff were excited for someone new to experience their product.

Used to be good but I think they got used to the easy money and tried saving too much because the quality went way down. Ordered a buffalo chicken sandwich on doordash and the chicken tasted cold and rubbery like it was microwaved and size was ridiculous and the fries were cold.... My middle school cafeteria would have pulled it off better. Avoid this place.

The menu was short, sweet, and very well put together. Everything that we ate here was awesome….. it was so good!!! I am from Houston and we definitely need one of these places there. Definitely going back again before we leave Laredo…. The service was just as good, the gentleman behind the the register was very helpful and polite. The establishment was so clean, this place was on point. If you’re passing through Laredo this is a spot you might want to check out for yourself. Thank You and God Bless

Delicious! Thank you Yelp! I gave this establishment a try because of the Yelp reviews and I wasn't disappointed. This is a casual restaurant. You'll order at the counter and they'll bring your food to you. I ordered the crispy conchinita tacos and fried dill pickle spears. I was alone and it was enough food for two at a reasonable price. The tacos were absolutely delicious. The fried pickles were on point and not too salty like some pickles when you order them. I would definitely visit again.

I ordered brisket tacos from a food truck at an event. They were friendly and quick with service. Almost too quick since they literally handed me the tacos seconds after paying! I got 4 tacos for $13, which is reasonable given that it's brisket and they include avocado, onion, salsa. The brisket for me was lacking a bit in flavor, and was a bit dry. I'd probably try a different item in the future, or perhaps their brick and mortar is better quality. Overall though the taste was good and I'd go back to try what else they have!

These are full size burgers full of flavor. The bacon cheeeburger features 2 patties, cheddar, Muenster and bacon. Not the greatest beef but well seasoned French fries good enough to eat without ketchup. Cannot give it a 4.5 do 5 it is.

Ugh how can I start this review? Food amazing 10/10 Service is okay, not amazing just okay. Ambiance is okay I always get the Carolina burger.

Gorilla Smoke and Grill was recommended by a friend of mine, so I had to try it after he showed me a picture of the brisket sandwich. That makes me think, aren't we a weird generation, we used to show pictures of our kids, pets, vacations, or even hobbies. Now we have pictures of food in our phone, like they're part of our family. Anyways... The brisket sandwich is truly to enjoy. Together with the gorilla sauce, and the fries, a great meal. The only question I have is who built the booths cause somehow one seat has plenty of room that will fit a gorilla, and at the opposite side you got to squeeze yourself in it. Oh, and it would be cool to have water bottles as a choice for drinks, not just fountain drinks.

I've been coming to Gorilla Smoke and Grill multiple times since my last review. Hands down, this restaurant has the best cochinita pibil tacos in town! The pork is incredibly flavorful and tender, with the perfect combination of spices. I brought some friends from out of town recently, and they were floored by the taste and texture of the tacos. The service here is outstanding and the ambiance is welcoming. Laredo needs more restaurants like Gorilla Smoke and Grill.

(This review is for the South Zapata HWY location) This was my first time trying Gorilla Smoke and Grill. Let me start off with the staff which were very welcoming and courteous throughout my visit this day. For the price of their menu items, I had to try their Buffalo fries appetizer and their famous brisket sandwich. The wait was probably under 15 minutes and the food came out fresh and delicious! Will definitely be coming back and let family and friends know. Great job!

We went for my husband's 55th birthday and it was delicious. The meats were tender and juicy, the fries are crisp and full of potato and loaded really means loaded no skimping here! The fried pickles and gorilla fingers sooo good and surprise they use Munster cheese The portions are...like the name...Gorilla sized!!! Definitely a place where you can share!!! The building is bright and cheery. You can choose to eat inside or outside just be sure to order at the counter. The staff is super friendly and helpful! We had a great time! Gracias

Great service, yummy food. I had tried their tacos only at the food truck before. Their place on Delmar is nice and clean. Staff is attentive and friendly. Brisket tacos are my favorite.

This place is really great. I picked it because of its high rating on yelp and it did not disappoint. The food was outstanding one of the nicest sized burgers I've ever seen huge I'm a big guy and I had trouble finishing it. My daughter got the chicken sandwich, buffalo chicken sandwich, which was one of the best she ever had and she's kind of a connoisseur. The onion rings were outstanding. The only complaint I have and it's not a complaint but this what this is about on yelp as you're supposed to criticize or positively praise. The music that they played was wonderful selection, but it was so loud almost so loud that you couldn't have a conversation. I didn't feel like I should say something cause maybe other people enjoyed it but it the whole restaurant was very, very loud other than that this place is perfect. If they could turn the music down or not, it would be better

Service was excellent..food was outstanding..first time here will most definitely be back. Had the Tacos, Buffalo Chicken sandwich, Carolina sandwich and chicken nuggets. All items were delicious

The vibe, service and flavor of the food is amazing. Everytime I go I try and order something new and i'm always left satisfied. Can't wait to go again and see what new item I try!

The food was outstanding, the briskets seasoning was spot on, the brisket nachos were so good I loved their seasoning on the onions. I like this establishment very laid back. Staff was professional, can't wait for my next visit.
