The 16 Best Filipino Restaurants In Los Angeles

"Whoever said that breakfast is the most important meal of the day was almost certainly talking about silog, a hearty Filipino breakfast combo of garlic rice, fried egg, and sizzling proteins like sweet-salty tocino or corned beef. As the name suggests, Goto At Silog in Panorama City doesn’t miss in the silog department—the garlic rice is potent, the egg yolk is runny, and the longanisa pops with flavor—but the main reason we’d send you way up in the Valley is their silky, umami-bomb rice porridge (a.k.a. goto or arroz caldo). Get a bowl alonside marinated fried tofu with pork and/or fried lumpia for a power breakfast that’ll have you feeling like you could lift a compact sedan afterward." - nikko duren, garrett snyder

Goto at Silog - Review - Panorama City - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

Google
Good eats, glad we ate here. We had classic Filipino dish. Goto w/ tokwa”t baboy, lomi, tapsilog, sago’t gulaman and halo2 for refreshments. All had the taste we like back home. 👍🏻👍🏻

Google
This place is a hidden gem that serves an incredible all-day breakfast starting at 7 AM. Whether you're an early riser or just craving breakfast at any time of day, this is the spot to be! The atmosphere is charming, with scale models of various aircraft and trucks hanging from the ceiling—such a unique and eye-catching décor that really adds to the experience. Now, let's talk about the food! The bulalo, bangus, and sisig are absolute must-tries. Each dish is bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. And if you’re in the mood for something refreshing, don’t miss out on their halo-halo and sago gulaman—perfect for cooling down! My nephew always gets their pourage like the arroz caldo and says they are his favorite because it is delicious. The service here is fantastic; the staff is incredibly welcoming and attentive, making you feel right at home. It can get a bit crowded during lunchtime, and parking can be a challenge, but trust me, it’s well worth the effort for such mouth watering food at the end. If you're looking for a great meal and a delightful atmosphere, come try goto@silog. You won’t be disappointed!

Google
I saw this and wanted to check it out. I had my order to go and overall it was an excellent lunch. I ordered their lugaw, Tocilog, sisig with garlic rice and a coconut water. The lugaw was on point and the sisig was great. The garlic rice matched the whole meal and the coconut water washed it all down. The tocilog was also very good. Solid customer service and tons of other menu items that I wanted to try like Halo Halo. I’d definitely come back again to try their other menu items.

Google
This is where you can find the best goto, sisig, crispy pata, etc. Every dish I’ve tried is really good. If you’re craving for classic Filipino food, this is the place to be.

Jonathan Torres

Google
Service was amazing. This review is for anyone wants to know about their sisig. It has a gummy texture, and soggy with oil. Unfortunately I was so excited I mixed my rice right away before taking a picture but, the sisig tastes like it looks, just brown. There was no color, just heavy and oily. No crispness of the pork, onions, or bell peppers. It’s just.. there. The oil is overpowering everything else and you only know you’re eating meat cause of the texture Again, the service was great and they were very welcoming.

I'll make this quick and simple because I know y'all just want something-silog. 🤙🏽 Parking is limited ‼️Carpool! Check their business hours before visiting ✅ Their food is worth the wait. 💯 Masarap talaga. Mas masarap pa sa jowa mo ✅ Feel free to follow. 🤙🏽😎 I know you want to. Enjoy! 🙌🏽

Google
It's in the name: GO TO goto@silog. For all my non-filipinos, goto is rice porridge and silog is a pairing of garlic rice, eggs + meat of choice. I think folks usually pick one or the either. I couldn't decide so I ordered both: Goto with Tokwa't Baboy and Longsilog. Both were fantastic and really hit the spot. Cheap, filling and delicious. Parking is a big shared lot so shouldn't be hard to find. Venue is small and a bit tight - good for a group of 2-4 people. Service is a bit slow but worth thugging it out for

Google
Excellent all day breakfast selections. Generous size crispy pata comes with 2 servings of garlic rice. Good for 4 - 6 . Friendly and Excellent customer service with a smile, by our server Erlyn . Great place for breakfast and lunch .

Yelp
They have the best Filipino food ,arroz caldo, tokwa and more. excellent service and affordable prices , staff are friendly and hard working.

Yelp
This place is located in a strip mall with very limited parking which can be an issue during peak hours as there are several restaurants in the area. We ordered and our food were served right away. The sisig was a surprise hit. It had a good amount of fat to meat ratio. The bulalo came in a hot pot and was boiling when served. The dish came with 2 slices of the beef shank, 2 quarter portion of corn on a cob and a cabbage wedge. I can taste the beef bone broth, onion and black pepper in the broth- so good. These 2 dishes came with a choice of steamed rice or garlic rice.

Yelp
The food is all flavorful. The amount of generous and fairly priced. The service is exemplary. The ambiance is clean. It is obvious that the owner is an RC enthusiast. I will definitely come back when I'm in the area.

Yelp
Craving for goto and decided to come to Panorama City. We ordered goto with tokya - was good Binagongan i a lot of vegetables which I think is great for eliminated the saltiness of it. Over all good experience. Clean table, clean bathroom and ample parking. Friendly service and good comfort food. Love the small planes design too.

Yelp
One of my go to Filipino food spots in the valley. My go to orders are the arroz caldo, sisig, and binagoong liempo. All are so good. The parking can be a bit tricky because there are many small businesses in that lot. As well as an Aldi so be advised.

Yelp
The food was so good and so cheap!! We ordered the lumpia, goto with tokwa't baboy and a thai iced tea for the 2 of us and it was only around 25 dollars after tax. I was here for the first time with a friend and the workers were so nice and accommodating, they explained every menu item to us and were very patient. Will definitely be back if I'm in the area :) The interior was also very cute and they had these cool model planes up around the room as decor !

Yelp
We always order from the Pho place next door, but I've always noticed this place and wanted to try it. Our filipino friend was over with her husband and I told her to order the good stuff. She got the lumpia, the crispy pata (pork), this beef bone soup, an egg rice dish and a noodle dish. We went to pick it up and it was a lot of food! But all delicious and filling. That was our lunch and dinner! Overall great place - will be back!

Yelp
I wouldn't have found this place unless suggested to me by chance one day by Yelp! I'm glad I tried it and will be adding this place to my routine restaurants to visit! For food, got the rice porridge with pork and tofu (arroz caldo with tokwat baboy), sizzling bistek tagolog with garlic rice, and egg rolls (lumpia). Everything tasted great. The consistency of the porridge is to my liking - somewhat thick like oatmeal but not as dry and it is chicken flavored. The side of pork and tofu were like condiments to the chicken porridge. The bistek was a bit vinegar-y but still really good. If asked whether just white rice or garlic rice, go for the garlic rice!!! Overall, I definitely think it's a local favorite seeing others dining here too!

Yelp
A hole in the wall Filipino restaurant. They serve the most popular breakfast and lunch entrees so it's not a long menu. The food is good. Friendly, Quick and efficient service

Yelp

Yelp
What a hidden gem in a tiny plaza with cramped parking spots in a small lot. From the outside, Goto doesn't look like much, but the inside is clean and spacious with airplane models hanging off the ceilings and what seems to be an endless amount of TVs. My husband raves about this place all the time so I had to try it! 11AM and we're ready for breakfast. -Arroz Caldo: seasoned perfectly with generous amount of chicken. I loved that it came with pork belly vinegar and the fried tofu; I mixed it all up and inhaled it. -Bangsilog + side of longanisa: we opted for garlic rice and egg. I wish the garlic rice was more potent but overall paired well with the runny egg yolk. They make the longanisa in house which tasted both sweet and savory. The bangus was a bit dry but still tasty with the vinegar. -Bulalo: this broth is cooked with bone marrow and is so rich and flavorful. The slow cooked corn gives it a hint of sweetness. Personally I would've liked a fattier beef but still hearty and perfect for a cold morning. -halo halo: I was full at this point but wanted to finish off strong with some dessert. This I would skip. All the jellies and Ube ice cream were good but way too much crushed ice in the halo halo. Most froze all together into large chunks so I spent majority of the time picking ice out. Our server was attentive and gave wonderful suggestions for my first time being here. Her favorites aligned with my husbands and I'd definitely come back in the future when visiting!

Yelp
Filipino comfort food for a quick grub. Some of these dishes takes hours to make. Glad this place is open early!

Yelp
Filipino food in the morning is at it's prime when it includes tocino, corned beef, egg, and rice. Luckily, this place had this combination! Parking was immediately available upon entering the area and the wait for the food was short. I took the order to go and it still remained warm after the drive. Biting into this phenomenal meal brought me back to the olden days when I would have this a few times a month! The cost of the entire meal was affordable and everyone who worked here was super friendly. It was like walking into a family party where everyone did not hesitate to greet one another. I enjoyed the dish and had a piece of each type of food on every spoonful. After having this for breakfast, I felt so content and was grateful to try this restaurant's dish that was made with love and care. I highly recommend this place!
google avatar

Jon C.

Yelp
Small portions and are overpriced as hell. The parking lot is a challenge. Nurses from Kaiser and Mission Community Hospital keep this place afloat. They are always there after their graveyard shifts.
google avatar

Ronnil G.

Yelp
Food was awesome. The prices were reasonable and service was also pretty good. Only bad thing was the parking. Highly recommend this place.

Yelp
Best Goto and Silog and more in this area. First time coming in here and did not disappoint. Kapampangan and Batangas combination. Kids got a Christmas goody bags as well. Come and try it out!
google avatar

Jayvee V.

Yelp
First time here and the food are great! Order the Sizzling Sisig with Garlic fried rice and it was amazing. Customer service is excellent and the place is so welcoming! Totally recommend this place.
google avatar

Yelp
I dropped by this place one day because a friend was craving Filipino food. This is a cute little place. Parking can be tight as it shares parking with other businesses in the small plaza. I definitely love coming here when I crave the Bulalo soup. I also did not have a bad experience on the service.
google avatar

Yelp
More than the good food, their service is excellent Staff is friendly and accommodating . Thank you for your service

Yelp
I've never actually gone here myself since it's a little out of the way but my mom usually picks up food for us from here since she's often in the area. Been getting their tosilog for years now and it is by far still the best in town! I haven't tried any of their other menu items (other than a bit of bangus which is delicious too). I've since tried other places that serve tosilog and it really cannot compare or beat this place. I wish the rice had more garlic to it but the vinegar makes up for it! Definitely recommend this place for their tosilog if you're craving it or if you just want to try it for your first time. IG: @ammysalamii

Yelp
Food is great, service is good, very casual and very Pinoy hospitality. You can never go wrong on what dish to pick they even have Halo-Halo, yum! They're not open for dinner but that's okay you can fill up on a late lunch. I've been going here for years and all of the dishes I tried never disappoints. All of the food are cooked to order. I truly recommend this place to anyone who love Filipino Cuisine or try it for the first time.

Yelp
Came for breakfast on a Saturday morning. Had the Bangus which was fried to perfection; No bones , No complaints. The Caldo De Arroz was delicious with game hen and scallions afloat. Then the Spam Silog which is a classic staple for a reason , can't go wrong.
google avatar

Mhaia G.

Yelp

Yelp
It is my friend who introduced me to this place. We usually go there on Tuesdays for power breakfast. I call it power breakfast because we order Crispy Pata and Rice. Some days Goto or 1/2 Fried Chicken meal. I have enjoyed their food. Affordable, generous servings and none is wasted.
google avatar

Larissa R.

Yelp
I found my new favorite filipino breakfast spot today and I am so happy they deliver on UberEats. I've tried a few different filipino breakfast spaces before but they're generally too greasy or too salty and don't really satisfy my craving. My tapa was a little dry but still seasoned just right. My tocino was perfect and the garlic rice wasn't at all greasy. My egg was cooked all the way but still runny! Exactly like how I would make it for myself if I cooked my own breakfast. My boyfriend got longganisa with his tocino instead of tapa and he was just as satisfied. Highly recommend!
google avatar

Michael P.

Yelp
The food was absolutely amazing and the service was very fast/friendly. I would highly Recommend if you're ever craving Filipino food

Yelp
Goto at Silog offers a culinary journey through Filipino flavors that's not to be missed. The warm hospitality and cozy ambiance make it a must-visit spot for anyone craving genuine Filipino cuisine. Highly recommend!

Bro. Ordep G.

Yelp
A great place for original Filipino dishes. Cooked to order food with a lot of choices. Their sisig-sisig, goto, dinuguan, caldereta, fried chicken, pinakbet, bulalo and pancit are all truly delicious and would really make you eat to beyond your capacity. Food is reasonably priced Place is clean with enough space for 60 people. Came for a special private celebration. Service is great and with friendly staff. Will surely come back to this place rather than going to nearby Filipino fast food places around the area. Highly recommended.
google avatar

Blescel B.

Yelp
This Filipino resto is da bomb! If you're in Los Angeles area, this is a must try if you like authentic Filipino food. All their silogs are delicious and satisfying. We stumbled this place through Yelp.

Philip L.

Yelp
We have been to this place multiple times after church. Parking kind of an issued so limited and narrowed. Their business seems not bad. They're always very busy. I like the owner hangs a lot of vintage war airplane wall decor. They serve lots of Pilipino foods, we have tried lots of different foods each weekend the taste isn't consistent. Specially, the garlic rice is so blend, it seems they just fried the rice and sprinkle some dried garlic on top of it. same with kilawin, Kaldereta. Hope the owner of this establishment will take action for their quality control and their server should be more attentive and etc. Wish you the best of luck.'

Nerissa O.

Yelp
If you want a freshly made Filipino food staple, look no further. My favorite is the tosilog, perfectly made all the time. Their goto and arrozcaldo is also to die for. The bulalo is also very tasty. You can basically order anything and you won't be dissatisfied. Customer service here is also wonderful. Staff and the owner are always very helpful and polite.

Joannalyn V.

Yelp
Came with the family; we had crispy pata, spam, bangus, beef tapa, longanisa, and pork sisig. HIGHLY recommend the crispy pata, pork sisig, and bangus silog. the calamansi drink is delicious, not too sweet.
google avatar

Czarina G.

Yelp
Got Bangus, tapasilog, tocilog and lumpia. Delicious! Price was very reasonable too. Highly recommend.
google avatar

Bryan D.

Yelp
.. Silog at its best. Awesome taste very good, presentation amazing. Bistek Tagalog no bueno, taste like vinegar only and the meat no good.

Cristina V.

Yelp
Picked up to go and it was great. The tapa/bangus silog was just right. Not overcooked or chewy meat. Halo halo was yummy. Plus they were so nice to give me Lugow as a new customer, thank you! Will go back again for sure.
google avatar

Jocip S.

Yelp
Pinoy comfort food at its best! 5-stars all the way! The food is yummy, the place is clean, the prices are reasonable, the service is superb, and best of all is the owners are hands on and are nice and friendly! More power to you Goto@Silog!
google avatar

Eileen Q.

Yelp
Seating is fast, servers are very nice & polite, restaurant is clean, service & food is priced reasonably. However, parking is a bit challenged during lunch time.

ECho C.

Yelp
Food & service is good, place is noisy.. but they're sooooo SLOW..!!!! if you're in a hurry or have to be somewhere else.. FORGET IT.. you won't make it..!! you're better off with any other fast food for a quick eats..!!
google avatar

Sofia P.

Yelp
This is my favorite place to get Filipino breakfast! Their tapsilog is delicious! I highly recommend! The service is great and the ambiance is simple.
google avatar

Terrell W.

Yelp
So I have ordered twice in the last 2 weeks through Uber eats and both times I ordered the crispy pata with a side of garlic rice. First off the portion is very generous and there is no issue sharing. Even though I ordered delivery both times the food came hot and fresh. The pata was perfectly crispy on the outside with tender meat on the inside. The garlic flavor in the rice was very subtle but it was there, portion was also very big. I have to venture out and try something different but the pata is so good I can't get past it. No complaints and I look forward to trying other items in the future.
google avatar

Elle E.

Yelp
Food was great. Spot on. Ordered five dishes for five people and we have five satisfied, happy people. They made sure it was complete and it was ready when promised.
google avatar

Yogini P.

Yelp
Good and service was good. We had breakfast and it was tasty. Bangus and tocino was well marinated and tasty. Will return.

Charles A.

Yelp
Nothing special with the food we got. We did finish eating everything. The fish was good it didn't taste like it was frozen. The meat was ok, but there was not enough meat on the serving and not a good quality meat. The Garlic Fried Rice was very disappointing. No garlic flavor, and wasn't very appetizing. The Rice Soup was pretty bland as well without the side dish or sauce that's on the side (soy sauce). My opinion, this soup should be flavorful other than a soy sauce taste. For a restaurant that only has a few items on the menu, I think they could have spent more time making sure they serve good quality food.

Frances Isadora V.

Yelp
Food is great! Pinoy comfort food at it's best. I just wished the service was more efficient and consistent.

Yelp
My brother and I dropped by him mid-February after he looked through Yelp for any nearby Filipino restaurants to us. We parked in the lot nextdoor and made our way to the restaurant, which was not busy when we got there around 9AM on a Saturday. We got to pick our seating and quickly looked over the menu so we could put in our order since we were really hungry at that point. We each got one of the different breakfast plates (forgot the names of them hehe) and also some fried tofu mixed with pig ears and a soy sauce mixture. There were large tv screens playing the latest news to keep us entertained while we waited for our food. The restaurant slowly got crowded as more customers came in for breakfast and we also found out they had some complementary water and coffee in one of the corners of the room. Our food finally came out and I definitely enjoyed the breakfast plate of bungus, pork, egg, and garlic rice that I got and just the fried tofu bits from the other dish. My brother gave me a piece of his longanisa, which tasted like a hot dog Weiner, which was not what I'm use to. But it tasted good nonetheless. We ended up getting a Halo Halo to go, which was wrapped in plastic wrap since the cap for the dessert had a large opening for you to scoop it out of. The Halo Halo wasn't the best, especially since it had either apple or pineapple bits, which I am pretty sure is not a part of traditional Halo Halo. But I could be wrong hehe

Bj T.

Yelp
We love this place! Everything on their menu is a must try. The owners and staff are very friendly and attentive. The place is clean which is a huge plus. This is really is a hidden gem in San Fernando Valley and definitely a go to place to satisfy your Filipino food cravings.
google avatar

Allan M.

Yelp
I love this place but one incident i ordered take outof 2 bulalo and 1 tapa silog, I got the bulalo but a eaten out styro of the tapa silog. Called the place and was just told to come back anytime for a replacement. I live all the way in Santa Clarita. I was waiting for an apology from the person I talked to but none. Just a casual come back here and we will replace it? Smh...

Yelp
This is my 2nd time leaving a review for this restaurant. From now on, this is our official tapsilogan stop in LA! One of the best! Every food is just on point. Plus, this place got a very friendly and corteous staff! Me and my partner normally gets a hotel in Downtown LA area and this place is like 25 minutes away from it and we don't really mind because once we get in this restaurant, we get rewarded by their delicious and comforting food. I recommend!
