Gotto Trattoria

I recently dined at Gotto Trattoria and was impressed by the overall experience. The setting was lovely. The food was decent and tasted authentic, at least to my understanding. The pizza stood out in particular: its base was beautifully airy and bouncy with just the right amount of crunch. What truly won me over, though, was the tiramisu. Creamy and balanced in sweetness.

Absolutely thrilled to have found a good Italian in our area! We were warmly (ha) welcome in during a sweltering heatwave to a gorgeous canalside eat with the whole restaurant open to the outside seating. Menu is short and sweet, and this team know what they are doing. The pizza dough is incredible, and the size is generous especially given the price. But to me the absolute standout was the mushroom pasta. I can't remember the last time I scraped a bowl clean like that! It reminded me of a particularly special porcini mushroom dish I had in Rome, so it felt pretty darn authentic. The kids menu is a good deal, and the bolognese had a beautiful tomato flavour come through. I was very pleased with the portion sizes all round. And the finish dinner, their coffee was unexpectedly good - well probably expected given it's an Italian but I've been to many restaurants with abysmal coffee to ruin the end of the meal! Bellissimo e grazie, we will be returning :)

The food was delicious. The selection of starters was amazing, the flavours in the mushroom, truffle and sausage pasta were rich and full, I couldn't recommend the place more! Additionally, the waiting staff were extremely friendly, even one of the chefs came out to greet us... True Italian experience, 5/5!

Lovely restaurant by the canal. Delicious pasta - especially love the fettuccine al nero! Good portion for the price. Friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere with outdoor seating on a clear day.

The food was excellent, Andrea provided kind and attentive service, and Maurizio, the chef who took a moment to stop by for a friendly chat, was incredibly welcoming. Second time we come and we will definitely be back. Pizza and pasta amazing and tiramisu was superb! Thanks for the lovely evening.

Italian restaurant with various options for food. My friends and I had three different types of pastries and one pizza. Everything was very good, and the pizza was well done ( as I liked) and had a lot of mozzarella on top. The only negative point, unfortunately, was the service. The waitress was not welcoming, unfortunately.

Grumpy old man was reluctant to give us a table when the restaurant was pretty much empty… had us waiting outside not very welcoming at all. We ended up going next door to Randys wing bar with much better service and incredible food win(g)win(g) :D

First time I’ve been there but will certainly be going again soon. The best gluten free pizza I’ve had in Uk and the gluten free chocolate was out of this world. We met the head chef (Maurizio) who was so passionate about his work, it’s not difficult to see why the food is so good. All the staff were friendly and it was a very pleasant experience.
