Gotto Trattoria

Stumbled upon this unexpectedly lovely place for lunch looking out over the canal. We had two beautifully made pasta dishes, plus drinks, with good service, all well under £50. I had one of the day's specials - the macco di fave - which was new to me, and totally delicious. Seeing I enjoyed it, the chef took the trouble to come and tell us something about it and the inspirations for his version. Unplanned this time, but worth planning to come back for in future.

First time I’ve been there but will certainly be going again soon. The best gluten free pizza I’ve had in Uk and the gluten free chocolate was out of this world. We met the head chef (Maurizio) who was so passionate about his work, it’s not difficult to see why the food is so good. All the staff were friendly and it was a very pleasant experience. We had a great time at Gotto for a family meal. The food was so delicious!! I tried their special, pizza bologna and it was absolutely amazing. Thanks to Andrea for helping us choosing the dishes and for a great service. I will definitely come back 👍🏻

It was my first time here, and I had a wonderful time :) the pizza with the zucchini sauce was absolutely delicious. The quality of the food is amazing in general and the service was superb throughout the evening. I will definitely be back for more good food!!! Thani you:)

Absolutely fantastic dinner in an amazing setting! We enjoyed a truly authentic Italian pizza paired with an excellent beer. The atmosphere was delightful, and the added bonus of the billiard room in the connected pub next door made the evening even better. Highly recommended for anyone craving real Italian flavors and a great experience!

The pasta dish that I had was absolutely delicious. The pasta is made in the restaurant I think. Friendly but professional service and a modern spacious restaurant. I'd definitely go back again but it's a long way from home for me. The best Italian food I've had recently and at a very reasonable price Lovely!

Good. 4 small plates between 2 the a main each then a desert and lemoncello. Only remembered to take photos of small starter plates, sorry! Nonetheless it was very good food, from my experience of Italy, it was very authentic. Lost a little on atmosphere as we were sat outside getting a bizarre blend of their own music and at least two of the neighbours, quite different music. Service was fine but little things let it down - I ordered a bottle of beer and the glass brought with it was warm. My wife's white wine could have been colder - although presuming it was from the same fridge, maybe that glass was also warm when the wine was poured? And it wasn't mad busy, there was only maybe one other table when we arrived and two when we left, so it was unlikely that all the glasses available were straight from the washer. But generally good. My biggest regret is not just ordering all the tuna tartare I could. Everything else was good but that was incredible.

My boyfriend and I (both Italians) went to this authentic Italian restaurant along the Hackney Wick river canal, and we fell in love with the food! All dishes came in good portions, super on time and we were always well looked after by Andrea. We had pork and fennel polpettine, fried calamari, and burrata with broccoletti and preserved lemon as starters, followed by a pizza Napoli for the main course. The polpettine were so good and tender that I could have eaten three more portions with no hesitation (strongly recommended!). The pizza was purely Italian, very soft, easily digestible and with well-balanced toppings (very rare to find in London). To top it all off, we had tiramisu for dessert, which was the perfect ending to our dinner – so YES, I strongly recommend Gotto Trattoria!
