New Owners Take Over Drago’s Shuttered Il Buco on Robertson in Beverly Hills - Eater LA

"The space sat empty until last weekend when Prospect Gourmand owner/chef Isaac Gamboa signed a new lease at the former trattoria. It won’t be a second version of his established La Cienega shop, but a new restaurant called Gourmando. Gamboa and wife Chancey want to bring a casual spot for breakfast and lunch, with a fine dining dinner to Robertson, just north of Wilshire. Issac Gamboa wants to showcase California, with seafood, produce, and meats that all hail from the Golden State. Morning and daytime diners will place an order at the counter, which will include a small bakery display and mini donut shop. The Gamboas nabbed pastry chef Betty Park, whose credits include Faith & Flower and The Ponte. At night, Gamboa says he’ll convert the restaurant mood to a formal one, while Josh Curtis will create a cocktail menu. It’s a sizeable space, with 2,250 square feet on the bottom, with an additional 630 square foot mezzanine. The old-school feeling will be gone, with revamped booths and flooring, with the exception of the main room’s classic chandelier. Isaac Gamboa estimates three months until it opens." - Mona Holmes

Went for happy hour! The selection were awesome! I had the slider, the chicken, truffles fries and they were excellent! There are also parking at the back.

Pretty rad. I had the very affordable lunch special $25 and it was great. Nice quantity. Great, fresh salad, soup and bomb steak. It’s actually a lot of food. A beverage is included. My favorite part of the meal was the fries until I tasted the delicious steak. For Beverly Hills, this is a steal. Great service from I’m thinking, is one of the proprietors. Unpretentious. Chill vibe.

Beautiful Location and very delicious food but it just took too long to get it served at our table. They apologized mentioning that our order was at the end of the list but we noticed that other people that arrived after us were being served before us. Not sure what happened but I must admit that my burger was very delicious.

Went here for Dine LA last night and was excited because it was my first Dine LA experience. My gf said last time she was here the food was great and it was worth coming back to for Dine LA. We had reservations and we were seated upon arrival. Everything was great so far, our waiter was very nice. Found it odd they were out of the duck confit, in the first hour of dinner service. Drinks: Chef special cocktail (bourbon and absinthe mix) it was ok Banshee Pinot Noir (a bit fruity, slightly dry, and smooth) For appetizers we ordered: Grilled Spanish Octopus (pretty tasty would recommend) Chile con Queso Truffle Mac (also another tasty option, truffle oil was very light) Roasted Butternut Squash Soup (great soup, loved how the pepper and spices cut the natural sweetness of the butternut squash a bit) Entree: Wild Pacific Shrimp ala Plancha (tasted good but was Abit salty) 14oz Angus Ribeye Steak Frites (steak was tasty and fries were nice and crispy. I've had better steaks but this wasn't bad) Dessert: Chocolate Ganache Tart (yummy) Reason for 2 stars: Appetizers took quite a while to come out, 35-40mins. Entrees took about an hour to come out. Our ribeye was sent to a different table and had to cook another one. The shrimp came out but was missing a portion of the entree (crispy paella rice which imo was integral for giving contrast in texture) we had to ask our waiter why it was missing a part of the entree. Food overall was good, but waiting for about 40mins minutes for appetizers and a little over an hour for our entrees sucked to the point I wasn't even hungry or had the appetite to even eat half my entree. Our waiter comped our drinks which was a nice gesture, but most likely will not return. Note: no picture of rib eye steak frites because I was IDGAF at that point to almost not care anymore.

Savory & Succulent! This farm fresh cuisine is as mouth watering as it is delectible. My visit was on a weekday afternoon(not their busiest) late lunch hours. The specials lent themselves to my appetite and were exquisitely great recommendations from the staff. I highly recommend this place for their quality of food, but they also have a great selection of drinks & wine, as well as catering service. Cheers!
