The 13 Best Restaurants In Borough Market - London - The Infatuation

"Gourmet Goat serves Mediterranean dishes made with seasonal vegetables and British meat that, shockingly, includes a lot of goat. Expect everything from slow-roast veal salads to halloumi bulgar wheat bowls, but the kid goat kofta pitta with chilli salsa is our go-to order. We challenge anyone to come here and try this bad boy without entering a very serious and slightly obsessive conversation about tzatziki." - heidi lauth beasley, jake missing, daisy meager, sinead cranna, rianne shlebak

Gourmet Goat Review - London Bridge - London - The Infatuation

"We’re big fans of alliteration. But we’re even bigger fans of this stall. Gourmet Goat serves eastern Mediterranean dishes made with seasonal vegetables and British meat, shockingly, including a lot of goat. Although they serve everything from slow roast veal salads, to bulghar wheat pilaf bowls, to breakfast yogurt pots, the kid goat kofta pita is what you really want to get involved in. We challenge anyone to come here and try this bad boy without entering a very serious, entirely sincere, slightly obsessive conversation about tzatziki. photo credit: Giulia Verdinelli" - Heidi Lauth Beasley

Gourmet Goat is a hidden gem at Borough Market. Their Kid Goat Kofta Wrap is insanely good tender, juicy, and full of flavour. The Slow Roast Veal Salad is just as tasty, and even the veggie options, like the Grilled Halloumi, are top notch. Everything is ethically sourced, and you can really taste the quality. If you’re in Borough Market, this is a spot you don’t want to skip! 😍😍😍

The place might look nice, but the experience was completely ruined by the Indian staff member working there. His attitude was rude and unwelcoming, as if our presence was an inconvenience to him — like we were intruding on his personal space. It’s unacceptable to treat paying customers this way. Absolutely disgraceful behavior for someone representing a business that relies on customer support to survive

I will be back to this place DEFINATELY! Stopped off with the kids for lunch and it was amazing. Fresh, tasty, somewhere to sit and they filled up my water bottle. The kid goat wrap was like a party in my mouth! I didn't want it to end. My 16yr old and 11yr old loved their chicken wraps and adding extra halloumi was not a problem. Totally worth it - very quick service and no queue unlike the paella place. Thank you so much!

Unfortunately, my experience at this restaurant was disappointing due to the rude behavior of the staff “brown guy” . As i step up and say hello how are you and then he look at me without any reaction and said wait a second although the stall was not busy and his face was unwelcoming, I expected better customer service, and it really affected my overall impression of the place. I hope they improve their attitude toward guests in the future!

Everything was so fresh and delicious! The olives with herbs were a nice touch, and the kofta was perfect. I could eat this for breakfast, lunch, and dinner every day! Beware, closes at 5 on most days, so plan accordingly!

Absolutely delicious! The slow-cooked goat wrap was packed with flavor, and the ingredients were super fresh. Great service and a strong commitment to sustainability—definitely a must-try at Borough Market!

Incredible food and super friendly staff! The slow roasted goat wrap was packed with flavour, fresh, unique, and sustainably sourced. One of the best spots in Borough Market, hands down. A must try!

Google
Highly recommend this place at Borough Market for something a little bit different. We ordered the kid goat kofta, which was freshly prepared in front of us with a generous helping of tzatziki, parsley, lemon and chilli in a toasted, fluffy pita. It was one of the best things I've eaten! Thoroughly enjoyed taking a moment to sit down, chill and people watch as we tucked into a kebab at 10.30 in the morning!

Yelp
We landed on Gourmet Goat after experiencing some serious decision fatigue at Borough Market. We ordered two chicken wraps and the halloumi fries, and overall, the food was good! The chicken was well seasoned, although I did think the wrap felt like it was missing something, maybe more sauce. The fries were super delicious though.

Yelp
I got the chicken wrap and loved it. The chicken was tender and all of the accompaniment paired well, especially the tzatziki sauce used.

Yelp
Because I was visiting, I had to try a little bit of everything. I got the kid goat kofta salad with a side of pita and slow roast veal. The kofta was fantastic. I think I preferred it over the veal. The salads were also all very fresh and delicious. I would definitely eat there again the next time I'm in Borough Market.

Yelp
I got the goat kofta with halloumi bowl. It was delicious, filling, refreshing. My family members each grabbed lunch from different vendors in the market, and mine was the favorite choice. ;)

Yelp
Was ok, too salty on the salad but filling. The pasta one is from the store next to it at borough market which I highly recommend

Yelp
Came here and ordered their lamb special and was not disappointed. It was tasty and a decent size for the price. Definitely a great value meal in Borough Market.

Yelp
Every time I travel to London I bend my steps toward Borough Market and search for the gourmet goat the way Gollum searches for the ring. Because that damn goat kofta is truly my precious! With the halloumi cheese and a dollop of that delightful green chutney, you have in your sweaty palm a symphony of flavors. It Is well worth enduring the press of humanity that you must fight through to jockey into position for the always lengthy cue.

Yelp
Gourmet Goat is a stall in the main area of Borough market. It is slightly hidden around a corner by a sign that says "more stalls this way". Definitely worth seeking this place out. I stumbled upon it because there was a bit of a line forming here for lunch even when it was tucked away, which meant it had to be good (then I peeked on Yelp which echoed that sentiment). In fact, it ended up being the best thing I ate at Borough Market! I ordered the Kid Goat Kofta Bulgur Wheat Pilaf bowl which came with tzaziki, fresh chili salsa, east med slaw (spicy!). The kid goat was tender, super flavourful and had a bit of a crunchy texture to it which made it interesting! All the accompanying sauces and slaw complimented the Bulgur well. If I had more time here I would have also tried one of the rose veal dishes. Most of the meat (or halloumi cheese) come on top of salads, bulgur or in wraps. Best part is, I got a 1 pound discount on any dish for checking in on Yelp! Woohoo!

Yelp
Seriously, this place has my heart - Every time I come to b Borough Market I have to visit and grab a kofta or a salad bowl, seriously amazing. The meat if tender and succulent and the salad fresh and crispy, the sauces are incredible, and the hackney-made flatbreads are beautiful. Everything is fresh and very very tasty.

Yelp
Went here because of a sign and had the kid goat salad box and it was soooo good!!! Probably the best meal i had in London! It has so much flavour and it is filling. Definitely check this place out:)
