"The menu at this International District favorite is robust, from fried noodles to soup noodles, so it’s hard to go wrong with any choice. But one particular standout is the laksa curry noodle soup, with its Malaysian flavors." - Jenise Silva, Eater Staff

"This International District mainstay offers both all-you-can-eat and individual hot pot options. The soup bases are mild and light, the portions are large, and the prices are affordable. It’s also worth noting that the tables are supplied with plenty of garlic, peanut sauce, and most importantly, “Sha Cha Jiang” (Taiwanese barbecue sauce), a cornerstone to any Taiwanese hot pot experience." - Ryan Lee

Google
This place was easy to find with amazing service. The customer service was very nice and made sure everything tastes great. The food was very delicious with reasonable pricing. The hotpot was fresh with delicious meats, veggies, and savory broth. I recommend to get the marinated pork rice upgrade because the pork is very tender and juicy which melts in your mouth. The pork in the buns are also very amazing with savory juice pork and light buns. Overall amazing place to get some Taiwanese food on a cold winter day.

Google
Authentic family run Taiwanese restaurant. Their beef noodle soup brought us back to Taiwan. The popcorn chicken and fried chicken rice were good as well. The place is a bit out there from the main activities of Chinatown so do make an effort to come here and support their business.

Google
So many flies ( atleast 7 surrounding our table)the place was fairly empty. The first tea cup we got was dirty. Food was ok, workers were friendly but the cleanliness is questionable. They didn't have the boom boom shrimp that day. I did make your own hotpot. For $3, I got two shrimp. The fish fillet was super fishy. I got double beef, the quality is consistent with most places. This location was fairly easy to find, and more parking is available as it on the outskirts of ID.

Google
Great bowl of beef noodle soup. Hotpot was good too. It's nice being able to customize it unlike BP. Service was great. He didn't speak English that well but he was very nice.

Google
Everything was really tasty! Server was really patient and made excellent recommendations. Restaurant itself has almost a cafeteria feel to it but the food ticked all the boxes. We’ll definitely become regulars. Generous Laksa bowl, custom hot pots, great drink menu and reasonable prices - we left very happy.

Google
Amazing, authentic Taiwanese food at amazing price! Beef Noodle Soup: - Really rich broth with just the right amount of spice and chewy noodles Laksa Noodle Soup: - Unexpectedly soothing yet deep-flavored broth with a great variety of ingredients (Tea egg, crab legs, tofu, woodear mushrooms, etc.) Pork Bun: - Authentic, well-made, soft pork belly Custard Bun: - Tasty, mildly sweet treat with stuffing that flows out like lava, melting in your mouth Can't wait to go back again

Google
saw this on Instagram and just had to try. i was surprised by how good the katsu with curry was! the beef stew broth was delicious and flavorful, salt and pepper wings was ok, pork belly buns was so good, the pork almost melts in the mouth. the strawberry milk tea was too small for the price but the one we really enjoyed the most was the Mantou. a little oily but with the flavored condensed milk dipping sauces, it was still so good. Service was pleasant, and atmosphere have a chill vibe.

Been here twice on my 5 day Seattle trip. The food is good and the service excellent! The owner is a sweet, honest, hardworking, kind hearted, go-happy gentleman. Just that itself deserves me coming back again. On our first trip, we had the mini hotpot (Thai spicy and tonkatsu). He hooked us up with free braised pork over rice. Nice spread of variety in each pot. On our second trip, we decided to try their all you can eat. That also didn’t disappoint. Comes with hot food as well, so we tried their popcorn chicken and potstickers. As you can see, the portions are more than what we expected but even better is the quality of the food. Everything was made fresh to order. With the pandemic affecting people and businesses, I really hope this place is still around when I return.

Yelp
Came in at lunch to this noodle restaurant in the International District. Gourmet Noodle Bowl is just one of the many places around here to get some. It has bowls full of not just noodles, but also broth, proteins, and vegetables. Has options that have meat, or get something plant based. The prices are pretty okay for the big portions. At lunch is the best time to go. It wasn't as busy when we came in. The place is pretty small but has enough room for a few tables. Checked through the menu for something good. It's about $12 for a bowl typically. A few of the fancier ones are more, like the ones with fancy beef. The bowls are pretty big and more than enough for a typical person. Each of us got the Vegetarian Laksa. It's the plant based one. This is made with vegetable broth seasoned with crunchy chili sauce, topped with coconut cream and filled with ramen and assorted vegetables. Had a lot of intense flavors. There was creaminess and spiciness. For sure it's good enough for lunch again. It's located on 8th Avenue at Lane. They close between lunch and dinner, and they're closed on Tuesdays.

Yelp
Loved the make your own hot pot option! The miso sesame broth was delicious. Next time I will request that the bowl be presented without the fire underneath, so that I can eat it quicker and because I did not enjoy the scent of the fire. Fast and friendly service.

Yelp
I went back and ordered the beef noodle soup again and it was super mid... it does not taste anywhere close to how my mom makes it anymore so I had to come back and update this review. We also tried to laksa hotpot and it didn't taste like laksa so that was a bummer. Everything just tasted pretty watered down :( Popcorn chicken was decent though. I'll probably just stick to the rice dishes next time.

Yelp
The restaurant had a pleasant atmosphere with calming music and soft lighting. The service was top quality. You can tell that the chef and server care and put effort and love into the food. The jasmine tea was delicious and came in a teapot and the food was very delicious. I would highly recommend this place and will definitely go again

Yelp
Everything here is so good. I came here during Seattle Restaurant Week and was already planning on coming back before I finished my meal. The restaurant has a casual ambiance (with a strong bamboo theme that I thought was fun) and the service was very attentive. Food -Taiwanese spicy: Perfect amount of mala flavor and great mix of various toppings. I loved that the hot pot is single-serving instead of a shared style so that people can order different things or just eat their own meal. -Beef noodle soup: Broth was very flavorful without leaning too heavy on a spice. Hard to go wrong with this one -Spicy wontons: Yum! Surprisingly juicy fillings for a non-dumpling place -Taiwanese pork bun: The pork was cooked perfectly and the sauce it comes with is so good -Custard bun: The custard is amazing without being too sweet -Mantou: Came out perfectly warm and delicious

Yelp
This place reminds me a lot of Boiling Point except only better! Because they have alcohol!! Of course, I was also very pleased about the whole experience here because of the following - 1. Their service was super nice. The waitress even came out of the store to point me to where the parking lot was when I called so I could park for free! FYI - free parking across the street of the Crawfish King. 2. They put a lot of ingredients in the pot! My mom ordered the Herbal Bakuteh hot pot which came with two huge braised ribs and many quail eggs. I ordered the Miso Sesame hot pot which had shrimps that were very good sizes and also chashu. I didn't need to order any additional meats. 3. The green tea that came with the hotpot was in a container that could be carried away (not a normal bubble tea cup though but better IMO). We ordered more to-go as well as asked for boxes for the remaining food. Their materials for these to-go boxes and bags were not cheap. Their menu has extensive selections from appetizers, main dishes, desserts, and drinks, to hot pots. If you are hungry for some Taiwanese food, this is def the place you need to try!

Yelp
First of all, I gotta say this is my new favorite spot in the I.D! The floors and tables were clean, the atmosphere is nice and chill. Not too loud or chaotic, which I appreciate as someone who's uncomfortable in those kinds of environments. The service was fantastic, our waitress was so sweet and on top of making sure we were taken cared of. Yo... THE FOOD!!! My girlfriend had the vegetarian laksa and I had the sesame miso hot pot with extra yam noodles. Both were excellent. The noodles in her soup were perfect texture and the broth was so creamy and flavorful. My hot pot was everything I wanted it to be. Lunch for both of us only costed 32$, which in Seattle these days that's an affordable meal. I absolutely plan on becoming a regular here. I highly recommend to the noodle soup and hot pot lovers out there. This place is IT.

Yelp
很好吃! Seattle has some solid Taiwanese food options, but we can always use more. Gourmet Noodle Bowl does a great job with the classics. I was so happy with the braised pork belly rice (kong rou fan), which was one of my favorite dishes growing up. The rice was packed with flavor from the sauce, and the pork belly was melt-in-your-mouth perfection. I will say I was also expecting minced pork based on the pictures, and would love to see if that's an option next time. The Taiwanese pork bun (gua bao) was also great. They're garnished with crushed peanuts, so you know you're in for a good time. I will also give a nod to the takeout containers, which are made from compostable materials. Proud of my people for running a sustainable business.

Yelp
Delicious! I'm so glad I decided to come here before my flight out of Seattle--what a meal as a send off! There's not a lot of Taiwanese food easily available in Austin so I had to get my fill in Seattle. I really enjoyed the braised pork over rice! The pork was delicious prepared very well and the pickled veg was a nice accompaniment. I also had the popcorn chicken which was fantastic. The basil and five spice flavor is delicious. The chicken was fried well. The green onion pancake (with egg) was also yummy. I thought it was a tad doughy but overall delicious.

Miko B.

Yelp
Came here for Seattle Food Week and got a pretty decent deal for dinner. $20 gets you an appetizer, a main, and a dessert. I got the pork bun the Taiwanese spicy hotpot, and the mantou. Everything was pretty average across the board. Nothing spectacular, but also nothing to write home about.

Yelp
So my wife and I went to a Yelp event at Gourmet Bowl, and we decided to come back because we thoroughly enjoyed the food. We were crossing our fingers that the food at the event wasn't a fluke. Well, as proud Taiwanese people, this place serves pretty dang good Taiwanese food. It's just sad that it's around the outskirts of ID, for it should be getting more publicity and recognition than some other nearby existing restaurants. My wife and I ordered quite a feast here, so we got: Braised pork belly over noodle Beef noodle soup Fried intestines Pork blood I don't even like intestines that much, but when I had it at the Yelp event, I was enthralled. I couldn't stop eating it. Well, today was no different, and the intestines were solid. Not everyone's cup of tea, I understand, but it was so good and crunchy. For my braised pork belly, the noodles were actually really favorable and delicious, and the veggies were great too. My only qualm was that the meat wasn't cooked very well, and it seemed like it was older meat - pretty sinewy and tough. The beef noodle soup was very similar feeling. The soup was actually really nice and there was a nice little kick to it, and the noodles were good too. Problem was the meat unfortunately. My wife demolished the pork blood, as that not my favorite Taiwanese xiao chi (little bite). All in all, really solid place that deserves more recognition and love. My wife and I both nodded to each other in agreement that this is probably the best Taiwanese food in the Seattle area (Facing East in Bellevue doesn't count, and it's really good over there too). Definitely worth a try!

Yelp
Luckily I found this gem for Seattle Food week, because they're offering delicious food and good prices year round! They offer a wide variety of Taiwanese comfort foods like hot pot, scallion pancakes, and of course Taiwanese beef noodle soup which was perfect in the cold weather! The beef broth was light but still packed with flavor, the slices of beef were tender but had a nice bite to it, the spicy wontons on the side were small but mighty dumplings, and the mantou (fried doughnut with condensed milk) wasn't overly sweet and rounded out the meal!

Ashley W.

Yelp

Yelp
It was a cold rainy night and we were in the mood for some hot spicy soup, and ended up finding this place on Yelp. There's only street parking available, but it isn't near the center of the ID, so we were able to find parking really easily out front. There was no one else inside when we arrived so we were seated right away. We ordered the pork buns to share and each of us built our own hot pots. The meat in the buns was a little soggy and lacked seasoning, so it was underwhelming BUT the hot pot was delicious. The broth had just the right amount of spice and there was a lot of food for the price (definitely worth it to build your own). Overall the meal was really inexpensive (we were pleasantly surprised) so we will definitely be coming back and building our own hot pots again!

Teri N.

Yelp
The service was excellent!! Greeted at the door by the chef and he took our order and talk about service with a smile!! The service was so good that it made the food taste even better and let me tell you ... the food was extremely GREAT!! Probably the best I tasted so far here in Washington!! Absolutely will be back!! Soooo dang delicious!!

Amanda T.

Yelp
We ordered the Beef Noodle Soup, Bok Choy, Chicken Katsu (not pictured) and Spicy Wontons. Everything was amazing. The broth had a very rich flavor and literally was the epitome of comfort in a bowl! The meat itself was tasty and tender. They were generous with the portions as well. The service was great. Our server was friendly and attentive. Would definitely recommend.

Yelp
We stopped by here on a Saturday evening for dinner. My friends told me that this is her no.1 Taiwanese restaurant in Seattle. The restaurant is in the corner of the international district, and it's quiet and very clean. We ordered Taiwanese Pork Burger, laksa curry hotpot and fried pork over rice. I really enjoyed my fried pork over rice, the fried pork was crispy and the pickled veggies accompanied the rice very well. My boyfriend was not in favor of the laksa curry hotpot, because it was quite plain. Price wise, I think it's on a very affordable level, the total was $30 per person. We will come back again to try more food on the menu.

Courtney Y.

Yelp
This is my current go-to restaurant! I love their hotpot, they offer a DIY hotpot of minimum 4 and up to 6 selected items from a meat, seafood or veggie/vegetarian item such as pork belly or beef, fishball with roe or fish fillet and tomato or bean curd. They also have hotpot with assorted items as well (eg already selected items and base). They also do rice bowls and some deep fried appetizers. My review is for their DIY hotpot - I love the taiwanese spicy, with beef, pork, tomato, bean curd, fishball and vermicelli with a side of rice! All the DIY hotpot come with napa for free. They give you a pitcher of water to last you which is nice. The server is super friendly and patient. If I could go every week, I would.

Yelp
Came here for lunch with friends on Friday. My friend treated us he's friends with the owner. I'm going to save the last star for when I dine here on my own and pay myself. Our friend was giving us a little background Taiwanese cuisine. I was going to get the chicken katsu but after hearing they're known for their braised meats I changed to the braised meat combo. Very glad I changed my mind the meat was tender and nicely caramelized. Would definitely order the bowl again one of my friends had the pork chop which was also delicious tender not dry and lots of flavor from the seasoning. My other friend had one of the hot pots with no rice or noodles as he's trying to stay away from carbs. We had the Salt & Pepper Crispy Squid and the Fried Pork Intestine. Our friend wanted us to give the intestine a try since my other friend and I hadn't had it before. I enjoyed the flavor. Glad I tried it. Definitely glad I went with someone who frequents the place and gave us tips on mixing the sauces. The owner gave us complimentary egg buns for dessert. Was a nice way to end the meal.

Yelp
If you're coming here with the anticipation of the old gourmet noodle bowl, let this review guide your decision. Came here for a weekend lunch and it happened to be coinciding SRW. Opted for that where the entire table must participate in the three courses. To be honest the bun appetizer was probably the best thing. The individual hot pot got so unbearable hot temperature wise and made the class noodles turn into mush. It also reduced the broth to such a salt bomb, I'm not quite sure what they're wanting to accomplish the fire beneath the hot pot bowls. For the hot pot it would have been 2 out of 5 stars but I actually enjoyed the pork belly bun and panna cotta which was the saving grace. The server seemed very confused with orders at each table and we didn't even get utensils to eat until all the food had arrived and been sitting. Super sad that the management completely changed and I think it's under new ownership. The hot pot is definitely not the same and I don't think it is even close to the quality of the old GNB.

Audrey Q.

Yelp
Came here for Seattle Restaurant Week and it did not miss! I'm Taiwanese and it was one of the more authentic Taiwanese restaurants I have had in and around Seattle--better than Hard Wok Cafe and Facing East. The Pork Bun was really great, the bun was fluffy and the meat was delicious, melt-in-your mouth. The sauces and the pickles veggies rlly put it together. The Spicy Wontons were also amazing, I can tell it was made in-house. The Taiwanese Mala Hot Pot was amazing! The best amount of spicy and richness. It was satisfying and better than Boiling Point. The Beef Noodle Soup wasn't as great, the beef was a little tough, but the portion was generous. The Mantou for dessert was excellent, the dough was fried to perfection with a soft interior and the condensed milk topped it off nicely. Service was good and I would definitely would come back again!

Yelp
Nice casual setting restaurant for a warm lunch. You need to make more of an effort to flag down the staff, but it's expected especially since we went during a busy time. The chef was super nice and friendly! He made sure our food came fast and checked in to see how the food was. We went during Seattle Restaurant Week to try out their menu. Pork Bun: I liked the texture of crumble in the bay. The bao was warm and soft. The pork was also nicely flavored. Beef Noodle Soup: I was pleasantly surprised at how much meat was inside, definitely very filling. The beef was nice and tender and the noodles nicely chewy. The soup was also delicious as well. Custard Bun: This is just your basic 流沙包. It was served warm, the filling liquid-y and nice as expected. I'd say I wish there was more filling to bun ratio.

Yelp
First time back here after Covid. The place has definitely upgraded. Beautiful cutlery, spacious seating arrangement, gorgeous to-go bag!! Missing some old delicacies like Salted Lamb Food: 5/5 Laska Noodle Soup: absolutely delicious. Rich in flavor and texture. I've had their Laska Curry in the past, but this is better Chicken Katsu with Pork Curry: Excellently breaded and fried. Bok Choy: Delicious Service: 4/5 We spent some time at the fancy diy-ordering kiosk. Must be very convenient for regulars but takes a while for new comers. For one of the dishes we wanted - Katsu with Pork or Beef Curry, the system would not let us specify the curry! We had to wait for a few mins for the front desk lady to appear and she had to make a manual note to tell the kitchen. Ambience: 3/5 There really isn't much of an ambience per se. But for a place in ID, the place is spacious, with great natural light, even on a dark rainy Seattle afternoon. Would we return: Yes!

Mandi S.

Yelp
I still have yet to try their physical location HOWEVER I needed to let you all know that's their Taiwanese Pork Buns are fire I get them ever game day at lumen field (they have a booth in the stadium) and they're honestly one of my favorite game day eats.

Michelle S.

Yelp
This was a highlight of my Seattle trip. Coming from socal, where boiling point is popular, I was really excited to try a new take on taiwanese hot pot! We ordered the beef strew broth and added topping from the chart on the menu. The broth tasted just like the broth from taiwanese beef noodle soup which we loved with the additional toppings and the sauces. My boyfriend and I are both medium sized eaters and found we could share the hot pot because they are so generous with rice compared to boiling point. If sharing, I definitely recommend getting 2-3 servings of meat though! With sharing, the price is super affordable. Service is friendly and the restaurant is roomy. We loved this restaurant so much, we ended up coming again on our last day!

Nathasha S.

Yelp
One of my fav go-to spots in CID. I love their noodle options - I always get the braised pork over noodles or beef noodle soup. Really yummy and has been consistently delicious. Their popcorn chicken is nice too. Friendly staff and service - seems family run. Definitely recommend!

Leon T.

Yelp
Tasty beef noodle soup and awesome service . The food was freshly prepared and authentic!

Rod C.

Yelp
Been here three times. Prices are reasonable and every dish we've ordered was tasty and well presented. Service was quick and staff are friendly.

Youngmi M.

Yelp
Terrible service. Left before I could even eat. Waited 10min before I asked if we could sit (waitress didn't even notice we were there). Waitress said they would clean the one table available. She didn't clean the table even when she was only waiting for food to come out to serve. It would have been nice to see her multitask a bit with so many people. When we asked her to clean the table again, she said she she would clean it now. She let us know that it would be 40min before we would eat anything. Tbh, it was very unprofessional. I got a recommendation to try this place but I won't be coming back. Would give a 0star if possible since I didn't get to eat anything. :/

Robert C.

Yelp
We went for late lunch and enjoyed the popcorn chicken and tempura green beans to start. They were served with assorted sauces. All were good although the garlic sauce was the best. Chicken was excellent and green beans were good. We also enjoyed the Taiwanese Spicy hot pot. They serve individual hot pots so you can choice different options. We also tried the Mantou served with three dipping sauces, condensed milk, ube and matcha. Nice sweet bread desert to enjoy with tea. Highly recommended.

Sal L.

Yelp
Just had a really great first meal here. Service was surprisingly friendly and efficient for a downtown eatery. The space was clean and well lit. The menu has a great selection of pre composed dishes and custom options. Very affordable as well so - we'll be coming back for sure.

Soyoung K.

Yelp
This has to be one of the best kept secrets in Seattle. We ate here last year and couldn't stop thinking about it. Came back again and it's as good if not better than how we remember. Get the beef noodle bowl (best thing on the menu) and the mantou dessert was phenomenal and had 8 pieces to share. Will definitely be back here

Rose L.

Yelp
The restaurant had a really rustic look to it and the owner was really nice. He personally came out and handed us the food. The food was good, a little expensive per the items purchased by nonetheless decent. I bought a lamb hotpot and I was expecting more meat in the hotpot then received. It had about four pieces on top with lots of vegetables, and the vegetables were the ones that filled my sister and I up. However, we want more meat in the hotpot especially for its price point. The wontons were good though, they were flavorful and interesting, but not something phenomenal that you would remember. Overall, this restaurant has good service but the foods just extremely decent for me.

Timothy L.

Yelp
My favorite place for Taiwanese food in Seattle proper! I haven't been back for a while but the menu has changed a bit and the interior looks a bit different too! Since it was SRW I got their 3 course meal with the pork buns, beef noodle soup, and the custard bun. Everything turned out really well! The pork bun had a good texture and the flavor was spot on. I am always partial to beef noodle soup and their broth was really good! I hope to be back soon!

David H.

Yelp
Really wanted to like this place more but it fell a little flat. I like the concept of Gourmet Noodle Bowl - mini hotpot. You choose your combo and you get your mini hotpot with all the toppings already cooking inside. The amount of food you get is pretty generous for about $14. With hotpot I'm expecting some really vibrant soup bases, but the flavors of all the soup bases we tried were way too bland. There is a small sauce bar, but this didn't help the weak flavors enough. Some of the soups were tried were Japanese Sesame, Creamy Tonkotsu, and Milky Cheese (which we really didn't enjoy). Overall, good spot if you don't mind a lighter soup for hotpot. Excellent service and good portion size for the price.

Amanda L.

Yelp
Came here for a break from cooking this week! Like how it's in a more remote location in International district since the parking is a little easier but still parallel parking Restaurant is very empty on a weekday but maybe since it's new? Ordered the calamari S&P which was absolutely delicious! Soft and light. It was a great appetizer and presented well. I also ordered the pork belly over rice, and it was serving a cute little green dish that was asymmetrical. The pork belly wasn't as juicy and hot as I thought it would be but still satisfied the craving. Some small things I did notice was that the waitress did not know what type of noodles if you wanted noodles instead of rice in your bowl, so I think that is definitely something that the waitress could know more about what type of noodle she is serving. My partner ordered the herbal broth hot pot as part is a three course for restaurant week for $20. The appetizer was delicious spicy wontons that were not very spicy, and the soup had a really nice flavor to it although I think it could be a tad less salty. Lastly , we chose the desert of mantou which is a crispy bread with a condensed milk sauce. Usually the sauce is served on the side of it but it was interesting for the meal. It was already put on top. Overall a really nice restaurant that I would go to in the future for sure and try some new things!

Yelp
They are closer to 3.5 Stars, but I'm holding off on rounding up until I try more dishes. With 435 reviews, they ought to be more consistent by now. Gourmet Noodle Bowl is a Taiwanese restaurant near the Seattle Chinatown library branch. I went in to place the order in person on a Saturday about 4:30pm. No other customer was in the restaurant. The helpful and friendly person that took my order seems to be doing double-duty - cashier and chef; he was wearing an apron. Two other women that appear to be part of the business were sitting off to one side surfing on their phone - one wearing a mask, one not. For the two noodle soups, they left the protein in the soup itself, which meant they continued to cook in the hot broth. The beef "survived" just fine. The seafood didn't not, all shriveled up. The Food: Braised Beef Noodle Soup - 5 Stars, $12.50 This was a delicious noodle soup. The beef is tender. The soup is flavorful and of course beefy. This is a must order from this restaurant. Laksa Curry Noodle Soup with Seafood - 3.5 Stars The laksa flavor was very good. I paid a bit extra for the seafood, but there were much in it. The shrimps were possibly bay shrimp size, very small. The egg and noodles are both good though. Salt and Pepper Crispy Squid - 4 Stars, $11.50 The squid is incredibly tender. I recommend this dish. Taiwanese Pork Bun - 2 Stars, $6.50 The composition was good, but the biggest ding is the pork belly was almost all fat. There ought to be some meat! Get this dish elsewhere...

Yelp
Tried this place for the first time, and loved this place! Unassuming storefront, but super simple design and clean inside. Not too busy today (Sunday), really great, friendly service. Definitely a place to come back to. The main chef also eats vegetarian, super friendly and makes sure to check in on any dietary restrictions. Everything seemed like a higher quality (makes sense with their name)- thicker napkins, cute take out bag, veggies cut to bite sized portions and good diversity. We will be back! $15 Vegetarian Laksa- Super delicious. Careful of how hot the dish is at the base of the bowl, the shape really keeps in the heat. It doesn't taste quite classic to SE Asia but it's still very yummy. Worth the price with lots of veggies, black fungus, plenty of mushrooms, three types of tofu ( skin, crispy puff and firm tofu), taro. Enough to fill 1.5 servings 5/5 Reviews from the omnivores of the group: $7 Crispy Squid- prepared wonderfully, nice and light. $15 Pop corn chicken dish- great sauce. good dish. $20 Hotpot Bakuteh- this was a bit more herbally then others would like, probably try the spicy version next and spicy wonton. Came with complimentary hot tea and one cold drink, both had a really lovely flavor.

Yelp
My 2nd Yelp Review: I stopped by this place again during the food walk in Chinatown, I got the spicy wontons. The sauce is not overwhelming as it is an excellent appetizer if wanting something to eat lightly. I also got the passion fruit iced tea. It's not too sweet or sour, just right. I highly recommend giving it a try as this restaurant reopened again.

Yelp
My friend recommended that we try Gourmet Noodle Bowl because it's one of her favorite spots in Seattle. I hadn't heard of it prior to this conversation, so I was looking forward to going. It was still pretty early in the evening when we came. There weren't too many customers at the time, so we were seated right away. Our waitress took our order shortly after, and we waited around 15-20 minutes for our food. I had ordered the braised pork rice dish, which consisted of rice, pork, egg, and some pickled greens. The pork was really soft and flavorful - I couldn't stop eating it! There was a good balance of rice to the protein too. I was pretty happy with the amount of food I got for the price (around $9). Definitely thought about ordering a second bowl, but I'll have to come back another time for one!

Yelp
My go to spot in ID for Taiwanese food. We usually order some combination of braised pork rice, popcorn chicken, pork chop over rice, fried squid, and Taiwanese pork burger/gua bao. The gua bao is my favorite as the pork belly slice is always generous as well as the peanut topping and pickles. Unfortunately, last time we ordered the braised pork rice/lu rou fan, it was pretty skimpy on the pork. Removing a star for that. We usually order via doordash, but I've been inside before. The interior is whatever, but the server was very nice!

Yelp
Very underrated spot - hotpot had great broth and high quality ingredients at a super good price. The waiter was super nice and the service was excellent!

Yelp
I came here for lunch. I ordered their braised combo and fried pork chop for lunch. Their braised meat was super tender but lacks the flavor that I'm looking for. They provided a good portion of food and cucumbers on the side to balance the fatty/greasy dishes. The pork chop was over fried as the meat was dry and the outer layer was hard, instead of crispy. Overall, I think it was okay that nothing really stands out to make me want to come back and try other dishes.

Yelp
Don't miss this amazing restaurant because of this location! It's so unfair for such an awesome place! 這家店關了很久呢!終於開門啦!阿牛還在這裡就能很放心 千萬不要因為覺得位置有些偏,就錯過!!! This restaurant had closed for a long time, finally reopening last month! The new owner is here now, and I'm so glad to see Aniu still here, he gives me so much joy here! They redecorated the restaurant, now it's brighter and cleaner 1I like to eat their hot pots with many kinds of toppings inside and the taste is really awesome! My favorite is the curry one 2 Their Taiwanese popcorn chicken and fried squid are absolutely the most authentic and delicious in Seattle! After eating one order today, I decided to pack one more to go 3 Custard bun, the custard inside can flow out, which is super delicious!

Yelp
4.5 stars but the service tips it over to a 5. I was craving Taiwanese food and ordered takeout from here. Food was ready SUPER quickly. Portions were great. Located in Chinatown. Popcorn Chicken Plate ($10.50): came with rice, tea egg, Taiwanese pickles, minced pork on rice. Taiwanese burger ($5.50): AMAZING. Get it. Huge fluffy sweet bun with a humongous slice of pork belly, pickles, peanuts, cilantro - truly authentic. Green onion pancake with egg ($5.50): we found this to be a tad bland but the crispy/flakiness level was through the roof and luckily we had hoisin sauce at home to dip it into which made it delectable. They were super sweet and gave us a smiley note & extra popcorn chicken.

Yelp
This place has great food, for an excellent price. The service is fast and friendly, the food comes out great, and I always get the personal hot pot. You get a green tea and bowl of rice with your hot pot. My go to order is the build your own hot pot and get 2 meats, 1 noodle, and 1 veggie. I've never spent more than $15 on food here to leave full and happy!

Yelp
I went with my parents today to try this place out! It's right next to Crawfish King (which I still have to try out!) I called ahead of time to see if we needed to make any reservations (since COVID times) and they said it was a first come/first serve and that there was actually no wait time. Looking at the people raving this place, it looked so great! I was for sure thinking it would be tasty :D When we got there, we were the only customers! LOL. It wasn't a bad thing -- I actually loved the quiet and that we got to really enjoy the meal without the noise. Our waiter, Casey was great! Funny guy and we liked that he was honest when we asked him about the food items. I was very much pleased that they had the big hot pots that you can have half/half with your soup base and that it's all you can eat! BUT they also have the mini hot pots (enough for you -- like an individualized sized pizza ;)) My parents had the Seafood hot pot and I had the Japanese hot pot. We were all pleased! Not salty at all - I loved the taro bites, the small octopuses, the LAMB, and the dry bean curd. When I love the food items, I save some for the savory last bite :D They had a jalepeno soy sauce - a good condiment. You can go up and get it on your own. It was tasty! It was nice meeting Casey - we will definitely be back some day :)

Yelp
UPDATE 9/12/2021 they are open and I brought another Taiwanese friend who is also convinced it was the best beef noodle and stir fried leafy greens he has ever had outside of Taiwan. I don't know why this Yelp page still says they're closed.

Yelp
Really good Taiwanese food; I have gone a few times, and everything we get is great. The people who work there are really nice, and quick service too. It might be the location, but I'm always surprised more people haven't discovered this Taiwanese gem.
